I had another productive day yesterday. I got up nice and early did my morning blog stuff and then ran to IKEA and Lowes. I got Kvartal and panels from IKEA to make a sliding door to cover the closet in the room off the kitchen and then stopped at Lowes to get a cord cover to hide the cords that are draped down the wall by the new wall unit. After my errands I went over to Kim & Brian’s for lunch, we had a few glasses of Cupcake Red Velvet, yum! Then it was off to get a hair cut and I got to see Heather, her appointment was right after mine. As a bonus she brought me a Venti So Vanilla Latte! I stopped home quick and picked up Taylor and we ran out to Scrap-A-Latte so I could give Renee the price gun that I ordered from amazon to her. On the way home I got a really bad headache, I took some Excedrin when I got back to the house and waited about 2 hours before it finally went away. My dad, who Andrew calls Stanley, stopped by and fixed my computer chair, the back had fallen off. I don’t think that it will ever fall off again! I was quite happy with all that I got accomplished! 🙂
When I sat down last night to make my card I had the urge to do something a little different and here is what I came up with. The card starts off with a base of Real Red Card Stock and the background is a piece of paper from the Stacked with Love Designer Series Paper Stack*. My banner is a piece of red felt and I used the Banners Framelits to cut it out. The holes down either side are cut out one of the dies from the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits* along with the bow from a piece of black felt. My heart in the middle is cut out with a die from the Circle Card Thinlits. I adhered the banner to the base with some Fast Fuse. Finally, I used the Hello You Thinlits* and some Silver Glimmer Paper to cut out the “you”. Some Multi-Purpose glue adheres the bow and the you to the card. I was pleasantly surprised at how well the dies cut through the felt and I love the texture that it gives the card! Change out the bow for an “I” and this would make a great masculine Valentine too! I hope that you enjoyed my card for today and are inspired to use some felt on your project! As always, I appreciate your visit and wish you a super Saturday! 🙂
