    I am happy to report that I had a really nice Birthday!! Brian came over with lunch and we watched some of the Apple iPhone event. I cleaned a little and then Jim came by after work. We watched a little TV and then went out to dinner. After that we ran a few errands and then watched a little more TV. He got me some very thoughtful gifts too! I’m so thankful for my fiends! And I want to thank all of you for my Birthday wishes! You guys are awesome! Today, I think maybe back to work on the cabinets! 😀

    It’s Wednesday and time for this week’s Paper Craft Crew challenge…

    I kept my card nice and simple! I stamped the balloons from the Concord & 9th Happy Balloons Photopolymer Stamp Set in Carrot, Fish Tank, Lobster and Plastic Flamingo onto a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb and Solar White 80lb. The ones stamped on the 80lb are cut out with the Coordinating Die and adhered to the card with 3M Foam Tape. My greeting is from the Concord & 9th Here’s the Scoop Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Lobster. That’s it, nice and simple but definitely bright and colorful!     I started my day off yesterday with a lengthy trip to the DMV to renew my License. I guess it wasn’t too bad, an hour and a half, it definitely could have been longer. I have had the pleasure of sitting there for over three hours on other occasions! I did manage to make the girl that waited on me laugh so it was time well spent! LOL! After that I came home and cleaned a little and then set out working on a friends computer. The hard drive failed and needed to be replaced. It took it apart and then tried to find the drive that I needed. They had one at Micro Center so Taylor and I took a ride over there and they she wanted to go to Dick’s Sporting Goods. I put the new drive in and put the computer back together and then ran over to see Heather for a little bit. We watched Pretty Woman, I still love that movie! This morning I don’t know what I will do, it’s my Birthday so maybe nothing! 😀

    It’s also Tuesday and time for a new Stamp, Ink, Paper challenge…

    I do love Clean and Simple and I went really CAS on this one! Onto my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock I stamped the leaf from the Hero Arts Color Layering Grateful Leaves Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts Autumn Ombre Ink with my Mini MISTI so that I could double stamp it. The greeting is from the same set and is stamped in the darker red from the same pad. I added the dots with my Stylus and the Ombre Pad too. I’m a little obsessed with those dots lately, you can blame Jennifer McGuire for that! LOL! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper CAS Fall Challenge!     Another week starting off with Monday! LOL! I like it better when they start with Tuesday! The weekend was pretty good. Yesterday I went over to Jim’s and we worked on some more projects and got them done. Taylor stopped by when I got home and we ran to Target to get a few essentials. I have to go to the DMV this morning to renew my license, I forgot that it expires tomorrow! Oops! That should be fun, possibly not! 😀

    To start off the week I have a card for the Paper Players challenge…

    I decided that I would keep it super simple and use some of my favorite dies from Ellen Hutson! Those dies are the Bold Blooms and I cut them out of Pink Pirouette and Pear Pizzaz. They are adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. To keep the greeting nice and simple I cut out the Ellen Hutson Brushstroke Love Die from a piece of Silver Glitter Card and I adhered that with little bits of 3M Foam Tape. Every card is better with a few Pretty Pink Posh Sequins and today’s are Silver! Nice and simple! Aren’t those dies great?! I hope that you like today’s card for this week’s Paper Players Challenge!     Hi friends! I had a nice quiet day yesterday apart from running over to Jim’s for a little bit. Didn’t really do much of anything in particular. Today I’ll make up for that! And the rest of this week it’s all about that kitchen!

    I have a nice simple card to share with you today. I took out one of my favorite My Monthly Hero Kits and stamped the smiley face in Memento Tuxedo Black onto a piece of Solar White 80lb along with some hearts in Red Royal. They smiley faces are colored in with a Copic and I used a stylus once again with Butter Bar Ink to add some little dots. The panel is adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My thank you is cut from Black 110lb with the Hero Arts Thank You Pair Fancy Dies and adhered to the card with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. That’s it! Nice and simple for when you need a fun thank you card quick! I hope that you like today’s easy card! Thank you for visiting and enjoy your Sunday! 🙂

    Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th – Ink Only!

    Another cool morning here on Long Island, but it’s sort of refreshing sleeping with the windows open and enjoying a little fresh air. I had a nice busy day yesterday, I cleaned and did some laundry in the morning, ran a few errands and spoke to my friend Kim. Jim came by around 4:30 and we headed down to Jones Beach to go for a walk. A nice four mile walk, it’s amazing how good you feel after a little exercise! We stopped on the way home and picked up dinner and then finished off the evening with some TV. A pretty great Friday! I think that this morning I will try and get a few more cabinet doors done! 😀

    It’s time for a new challenge and I have the pleasure of sharing my card with you for this month’s Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Challenge…

    I do love to do some stamping! To create my card I stamped the hydrangea from the Concord & 9th Petals & Palettes Photopolymer Stamp Set onto a Post-it and cut it out with my scissors. My card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock is place into my MISTI and I stamped the flowers in Grape Soda and then just the edges in Peacock using the mask that I cut out. My greeting is from the same set and is stamped in the same colors. The background needed a little something so I took a stylus and pressed it into the ink pads to create my dots! A nice somewhat simple one layer card that would be easy to make multiples of with the MISTI!

    Happy Friday!! It’s a little on the crisp side here this morning but that’s ok, wakes you up! I started work on the cabinets yesterday after spending the morning with Heather. I found that using the heat gun to remove the paint worked pretty well. I also found that getting the doors off was harder than stripping the paint! The screws are painted over, not fun! I finished off the evening with a nice Thirsty Thursday and helped George with some computer stuff before coming home. And just so you know after a year my friend Sam Smith has released a new single! Go and have a listen, it’s great! 😀

    My card for today is really simple! I was looking at the August 2017 My Monthly Hero Kit and spotted a sheep in the set that I hadn’t seen before! I stamped the sheep three times in Hero Arts Black Ink onto some Solar White 110lb and cut them out with the Coordinating Die. Onto a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb I stamped my greeting and then added the sheep around it with 3D Foam Squares. A sprinkling of Pretty Pink Posh Sequins and the card is done! Like I said super simple but a nice way to let someone that you love know that you are thinking of them! I hope that you like today’s card!     A holiday on a Monday always makes the week move a little faster! It was sort of overcast and rainy on and off for most of the day so I thought that it would be the perfect day to catch up on my neglected blog comments. I read them as they come in but I have been bad at responding lately. But after three hours they have all been responded to! I feel the love from you guys and you should always feel it right back! I didn’t get much else done but today is a new day to accomplish! Maybe I will give the kitchen cabinets a try! 😀

    Today I have my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches to share with you…

    To start I stamped the Concord & 9th Sprinkles Turnabout Photopolymer Stamp in Grape Soda, Sugarplum, Plastic Flamingo and Bubblegum using my MISTI onto a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The ballon and greeting are from the Concord & 9th Happy Balloons Photopolymer Stamp Set and are stamped in Bubblegum and Sugarplum. I used the Coordinating Dies to cut it out along with the string. They are are adhered to a piece of 27lb Pastel Pink Vellum and then adhered to the card! A simple bright birthday card! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge!     Paper Craft Crew 258… Again! & Etsy!

    Hello my friends! I finished taking down the wallpaper border in the kitchen yesterday. Stephanie stopped by and dropped off some heavy duty remover for the stubborn glue that wouldn’t come off and she hung out for a bit. I would like it if someone would be kind enough to send some paint stripping gnomes to help get the paint off of the cabinets! There are probably about 5 layers on there, not going to be a fun process at all! It’s supposed to rain today so I probably won’t get to start it until tomorrow, gives me time to mentally prepare myself! LOL! 😀

    I promised a few weeks ago that I would let you know when all of my purge goodies were up on my friend’s Etsy Store and today is the day! There are over 150 new sets, some brand new and some gently used all up to 50% off retail! Head on over by clicking HERE and check everything out!

    So last week I inadvertently posted my card for the Paper Craft Crew challenge and it wasn’t really supposed to go up until this week. I made a new card so you get a twofer! Here is the sketch once again…

    I used the May 2017 My Monthly Hero Kit to create today’s card! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My background is a piece of Pool Party, on the bottom portion I used the Stencil from the Kit and some Tide Pool Ink with a Mini Ink Blending Tool. Across the panel is a piece of Calypso Coral that is flagged on the right along with some coral cut out using a Die from the Kit. The images are stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and I colored them in with my Copics and then used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out. They are adhered wth 3D Foam Squares to a piece of 65lb Vellum that is cut out with the Hero Arts Infinity Circles Dies and that is then adhered to the background. I stamped the greeting from the Kit and then adhered to the panel to the card with E-Z Runner and Fun Foam. A few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins complete the card!   • Pearlescent Pineapple – Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th!

    Hello again! I’m back with post number two for today! It’s time for my Solo Post over on the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Blog! You can also see this post over on the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Blog. Be sure and stop by there too!

    The card that I created uses the Concord & 9th Pineapple Perfection Photopolymer Stamp Set. I heat embossed it onto a piece of Canson 140lb Watercolor Card with Hero Arts Clear Embossing Powder. To color in the image I used my FineTec Pearl Watercolors and an Aquawash Brush. After it dried I used the Coordinating Dies to cut it out along with the greeting that is heat embossed onto a piece of White Gold Curious Metallic with Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder. The pineapple and greeting are adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with another piece of White Gold Metallic that I embossed with the We R Memory Keepers 3D Woven Embossing Folder. I do love the Pearl Watercolors, so nice and subtle. The pictures doesn’t do them justice, they look so much better in real life!

    One day back and I miss the lake! LOL! I did have a nice day, did some cleaning in the morning and then decided that I couldn’t stand looking at the hideous wallpaper border around the soffit in my kitchen so I started to take that down. Wallpaper is annoying! This then spiraled into me thinking about repainting the cabinets, they are a hideous peach color right now… don’t ask! I’ll take some before pictures and then when it’s all finished I’ll post the final results. It will be a while, I don’t want to rush through it and I don’t know how long it’s going to take to get the layers of paint off of the cabinets!! 😀

    Today is Tuesday even though because of the Holiday it feels like a Monday! That means that it’s time for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge…

    For some reason I had it in my head that I wanted to use one of the fairies from last year’s August My Monthly Hero Kit so I stamped her in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored her in with Copics. She is cut out with the Coordinating Dies. The trail of stars and the greeting are from this year’s August My Monthly Hero Kit. I stamped the stars in Butter Bar and the greeting in Tide Pool right onto my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The fairy is adhered to the card with 3D Foam Squares and a few Pretty Pink Posh Sea Breeze and Platinum Sequins complete the card!
