When I got home tonight I decided to make a card for one of my friends to thank them for all that they do for me. I was inspired by the Pals Paper Arts Challenge for this week. I completely forgot that I even had the colors that were to be used in the challenge. Anyway, here is the card below. Let me know what you think!
Inspiration…
A few weeks ago I ran into an old friend of Mine, Sandy. We talked for a little while and I mentioned to her that I was making cards and showed her some pictures. She mentioned that she also makes cards and emailed me a link to her blog so I could take a look at some of hers. She makes very beautiful cards. She is also a demonstrator for a company called Stampin’ Up. I was so inspired by Sandy’s work that I decided to expand my tool collection and I picked up a CuttleBug, I also got a bunch of embossing folders. I can’t tell you how amazing the embossing looks on the cards. I use it mostly for backdrops but occasionally for the embellishments. It has inspired me to make more cards lately and a friend of mine has given some to friends of hers. I am having such a great time using the new tools and incorporating the old ones that I have. It’s funny how others can inspire you to push your own creativity. I was glad that I ran into Sandy and look forward to seeing her again soon. In the mean time I have posted a few pictures of the cards that I made and also a link to her amazing blog. Enjoy!

My new Blog
Hello everyone out there! I’m Justin and I already have a Computer blog on WordPress. I love computers and anything electronic, I read about it all day and love to help people get the most out of their modern day tools. There is however another passion that I have… Card Making. I love to make cards, Birthday, Thank You, Anniversary, Holidays you name it I have a stamp, punch or folder for it. I have always been a creative person and this is a great outlet and I find it very relaxing to do.
In January of this year I was watching WLIW 21-2 Create TV and came across this show called the Spotted Canary. It is a show about crafting but the episode that I caught was one about making cards. They made a waterfall card and gave the instructions on how to do it on their web site. I thought, I can do that so the next day I went out and got some supplies and made the card with my own little twist. As soon as I finished I was hooked! I now have over 100 paper punches, about 60 stamps and tons of embellishments and card stock. Friends ask me to make cards for them now and it makes me very happy to be able to do so. I can’t wait to share some of my creations and get some feedback. Below is a picture of my first card. Let me know what you think!
