    Floral Sequin Wreath Smile

Hi there! I hope that you are having as good a weekend as I am! I was up bright and early again yesterday and at The Ink Pad by 7:15. We boarded the bus and got underway at 8:00am sharp. It was raining on the way down t0 Allentown but a little while after we arrived it had stopped and the sun even came out later in the day! We did raffles on the bus on the way down and I had Barbara and Jane laughing so much that their faces hurt by the time we got there! It was a fun day, I got to see some of my blog peeps which is always awesome and met a few new people too! We had lunch at the Amish Market. For dessert Barbara and I ate an entire half of a Shoo-Fly pie! It was good, not as good as my grandmother’s but pretty good! The bus ride back was more laughing and raffles. Anna was still at the store so we chatted with her for a bit. Barbara and I took a cab back uptown and stopped at D’Agostino’s before I headed back up to Kim’s. She had a party to go to so I watched a movie and then I was more than ready for bed! I did get some cool paper from The Paper Cut and a Mini MISTI! It will fit much better on my desk! I’ll be at The Ink Pad with Jane today so come on by and say hello!

I have a very quick and easy card to share with you today. The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used a new die to me from Gina Marie Designs called Wreath Die, it’s cut from Early Espresso and adhered to the card with Elmer’s Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. My greeting is a piece of Rose Red cut out with the Simon Says Stamp Small You Craft Die and the rest is stamped in Rose Red using the Simon Says Stamp You Photopolymer Stamp Set. My fun Flower Sequins are some that Michael sent to me from Brasil. I adhered then around the wreath using Multi-Matte Medium and the card is finished! See, I told you super simple! I do love that Wreath Die, so neat and the sequins are cute! I hope that you enjoyed today’s card and that you all have a super Sunday! Thanks for stopping by! 🙂

Now that was a busy Friday! We got to the dealer nice and early and dropped off Heather’s car. On the way back we stopped and got bagels. I left around 9:30 to head over to Scrap-A-Latte to go and see Renee. We had a very nice chat and even got to speak to Michael too! From there I want back over to Heather’s and took her to pick up the car. I ran to the Post Office on my way hame and dropped off a package. When I got home I stopped to see Daniel and then I ran home and made two quick cards. Next I packed my stuff up to stay at Kim’s and Dad took me to the train station. I made pretty good time and was at Kim’s at 6:45. We had dinner and then some Fro-Yo from 16 Handles. This morning I’ll be at The Ink Pad at 7;15am to get everyone rounded up for the bus ride to Allentown! Should be a fun day! 🙂

One of my quick cards is for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge…

    Freshly Made Sketches 230

The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used a piece of paper from the My Mind’s Eye My Story 6×6 Paper Pad for the strip down the middle. Next I took another wooden embellishment, the Mr. & Mrs.this time, and heat embossed it with Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder. It’s adhered to a piece of Vellum Card Stock that I cut out with the Simon Says Stamp Postage Stamp Edge Frames Dies with Multi-Matte Medium. I hid some Foam Tape behind the sentiment to adhere it to the card. For a little added sparkle I punched out a piece of Champagne Glimmer Paper with a small Heart Punch and adhered that to the vellum. Are you sick of the wooden embellishments yet?! I love them so there will be more! LOL! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge! Thank you and I hope that I get to see some of you at the show today! Have a stampendous Saturday! 🙂

    Fab Friday 84

Happy Friday my peeps! I had a busy but great day yesterday! I spent most of the day with my friend Sue. We did some Etsy stuff and then went to Nathan’s for lunch! I haven’t had Nathan’s in FOREVER! The chili dog was pretty tasty and they still have great fries! After that we stopped at Michaels and spoke to Michael too! From Sue’s I stopped back home and had dinner with my parent’s, Daniel and Erika. I had to set up the HiPad for him to watch his PJ Masks on! It’s our favorite show! After dinner Heather stopped by and got me so that we could run to BJ’s to pick up a few things for Thirsty Thursday. I stopped at my house to get my car and then headed over to Heather’s. Thirsty Thursday is always a lot of fun and a lot of laughs! This morning I’m taking Heather to drop her car off to be fixed and then I’m going to head over to Scrap-A-Latte to chat with Renee for a bit. I’ll be going into Manhattan tonight to stay with Kim and then tomorrow morning I’ll be taking The Ink Pad Express to the Allentown Stamp Show! I hope that I will get to see some of you there!

Today is a Fab Friday so I’m over on the blog for our color challenge…

    Fab Fri 84 4-02-2016

Sometimes I just need to stamp and that’s just what I did! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I adhered a piece of Pool Party to the front cut to 4 1/8 x 5 3/8. My background is a piece of Solar White 80lb. I stamped the smaller flowers from the Hero Arts Color Layering Hibiscus Photopolymer Stamp Set in So Saffron and Calypso Coral repeatedly and randomly across the whole panel and then adhered it to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. My greeting is from the Hero Arts Hello Gorgeous Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto a strip of Pool Party and it’s adhered directly to the background. A wooden butterfly is coated in Versa-Mark and heat embossed with Calypso Coral Stampin’ Emboss Powder and adhered to the card with Multi-Matte Medium. A few Pretty Pink Posh Tangerine and Lemon Drop Sequins complete the card. I love the color layering sets, you can stamp the same color ink over and over and still get great results! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for the Fab Friday Color Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and take a peek at the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thank you for stopping by and have a fabulous Friday! 🙂

Sometimes the week just goes way too fast! I was up until around 2:30am last night which resulted in me getting up at 9:30, way too late! LOL! I have a little project that I’m researching and hopefully everything will go well and I’ll be able to share what I’m up to soon. I got to speak to Michael for a while today, always good to catch up! I did get to go over to my parent’s to see Daniel and Erika for a bit before I had to go and pick up Bill and take him back over to Deer Park to pick up Anthony’s van. They fixed it and all is working perfectly again. I went back over to my parent’s house for dinner, got to see my brother for a bit too. When I got back to my house I crafted for a little while and then binge watched Fixer Upper on HGTV, love what they do with houses! I’m off to spend the day with my friend Sue today, we’ll get some Etsy stuff done and hopefully craft a bit too!

The little card that I have to share with you today is for this week’s Paper Players challenge…

    Paper Players #288

My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I took some paper from the Authentique Seaside 6×6 Collection and adhered it to a piece of Solar White 80lb. That is then adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. I cut the top of a piece of Basic Gray with the Simon Says Stamp Border Waves Dies and then heat embossed my sentiment from the Simon Says Stamp Sail Away Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder. It’s adhered to the card with Foam Tape and E-Z Runner. The anchor and sailboat are from the same set. The sailboat is stamped in Hero Arts Pool to Navy Ombre Ink and the Anchor in Soft Granite to Black Ombre Ink. I used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out and the are both adhered to the card with Foam Tape. I guess I’m dreaming of a little beach getaway! Love that Ombre Ink, especially the Pool to Navy! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Players sketch challenge! Thank you so much for visiting today! Have an awesome Thursday! 🙂

    Paper Craft Crew 188

And how is your week going? We are at the halfway point and mine is going well. Yesterday I had a pretty busy day, just the way that I like them! I FaceTimed with Andrea in the morning and then had a little lunch with my parents. Around 1:30 I stopped at A. C. Moore, I had a $10 rewards certificate that I just had to get rid of! I bought another bead storage container for sequins and other embellies, it’s the one with the bigger compartments this time. From there I stopped and got some gas and then headed over to Scrap-A-Latte to visit Renee for a little while. We had a nice chat and she shared some of her home-made peach strudel with me. After that I headed over to Deer Park to pick up Bill. He had to drop off Anthony’s van to be fixed, there is a problem with the wheelchair ramp. I drove Bill back to Anthony’s and visited with them for a bit before heading over to Heather’s. We went and had dinner at Applebee’s and then stopped at Lowes so I could get some hardware to hang her new chandelier. After that was finished we watched a little TV and had a laughing fit that lasted about 20 minutes! They are the best aren’t they?! I got home around 12:30 and that was my day!

Today I have my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge…

    PCCCS188 DT Sketch 3-30-3016

My card starts with a base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. Across the lower half is a piece of Copper Glitter Tape. The two panels are pieces of paper from the Heidi Swapp Dreamy 6×6 Paper Pad. I used the Lawn Fawn 4Bar Stitched Rectangles to cut them out. A piece of Blushing Bride that is cut with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Scalloped Borders Lawn Cuts is adhered to the left side of the smaller panel and they are both adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. My circle is cut from a piece of “Vintage” Summer Starfruit with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Circles Lawn Cuts. I heat embossed my greeting from the Hero Arts Many Everyday Messages Photopolymer Stamp Set in Ranger Copper Embossing Powder onto a piece of Balck 110lb. It’s adhered to the card with Foam Tape. The fun flower is a Wooden Embellishment from Recollections. I coated the front in Versa-Mark and heat embossed it with more of the Copper Powder, it’s adhered with Multi-Matte Medium along with a few Pretty Pink Posh Bronze and Onyx Sequins. I love the copper with fun muted brights on the paper and the sparkle of the glitter tape is a nice added touch! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Head on over to the BLOG to see what the rest of the Team has come up with to inspire you and enter your card in the gallery! Thank you very much for visiting me today! Have a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂

    SIP Challenge 41 – Weddings!

And we successfully made it through another Monday! It was rainy here in the early part of the day but the sun did manage to come out for a little bit and then later on it got really windy! Such odd weather! I had another pretty low key day. I ran and picked up Brian in the morning from dropping off his car at Jeep, we went back to his house for a bagel and then I came home. Some crafty time with Andrea via FaceTime passed away a good part of the afternoon and Taylor came by to binge watch Netflix with her eyes closed for while! LOL! Brian called and asked if I would run him back over to get the truck so I did. Some dinner with parents and then a little TV to finish off the day. Oh, I did manage to get into a bit of a cleaning frenzy in the Stampin’ Galley! It looks a lot better! I always find “new” things too! Do you do that? LOL!

Today I’m over on the Stamp, Ink, Paper blog with the rest of the talented Team for this week’s challenge…

    SIP Challenge 41 Weddings 800

Ahh, I don’t know why I like a wedding card as much as I do! Remember last year when I went through my wedding card marathon?! Today I stared my card with a base of Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The background is a piece of Solar White 80lb that I stamped in Versa-Mark with the Hero Arts Confetti Bold Prints Background Stamp and heat embossed some Ranger Silver Pearl Embossing Powder. It’s adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. My flowers and leaves are from the Clearly Besotted Sketched Blooms and they are heat embossed with the same Silver Pearl on Vellum and cut out with the Coordinating Dies. I used a little Multi-Matte Medium strategically placed behind them to adhere them to the card. For the greeting I used the Simon Says Stamp On Edge Love You Die cut from a piece of Solar White 110lb and adhered to the card with Foam Tape. I resisted the temptation to add some sequins, it wasn’t easy! LOL! I do love that the card is basically white, I think that it has a nice simple elegant look to it! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! Get a head start on your wedding cards and share them with us in the gallery by stopping by the BLOG! Mojo Monday 441

I had a very low key relaxing Easter. My parent’s went to my Sister-In-Law’s parent’s house and I stayed home. I crafted, boy did I craft! I made four cards! I would have made more but I kept taking TV breaks! LOL! I also managed to get my laundry done! I was a pretty productive day despite the laid back feel! I hope that you all enjoyed your Easter and that you either had a nice quiet relaxing day like me or got to spend lots of time with family and friends!

It’s Monday and that means that it’s time for this week’s Mojo Monday sketch…

    Mojo441

Yup, I played with some new goodies! My card starts off with a base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the entire front covered in a piece of Black 110lb. I used the Simon Says Stamp Diagonal Strip Background with some Simon Says Stamp Thistle Ink on a piece of Solar White 80lb for the left side of my background. It’s adhered to another piece of Solar White 80lb and that is adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. The main panel is another piece of Solar White 80lb. I stamped the flowers form the Hero Arts Color Layering For You Flowers Photopolymer Stamp Set in Simon Says Stamp Thistle and Hot Mama and Hero Arts Grape Juice Ink. The leaves are stamped in Simon Says Stamp Lucky and Green Leaf. I adhered it to a piece of Black 110lb and then that is adhered to the card with more Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. My circle is cut out with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Circles Lawn Cuts and the butterfly is from the Hero Arts Butterfly Pair Stamp and Cut Photopolymer Stamp Set in Mot Mama. The die is cool because it cuts out the wings but leaves the body attached. I fluffed up the wings and adhered it to the card with E-Z Runner and Foam Tape. My greeting is from the For You Flowers Set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder on Black 110lb. I adhered it to the card with more E-Z Runner and Foam Tape tucking some of it under the butterfly wing. Some Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear, Amethyst and Shamrock Sequins are adhered with Multi-Matte Medium and complete the card! I absolutely love the flowers especially in the purples, I haven’t used purple in a long time! I hope that you enjoy my Design Team card for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see what the rest of the Team has to inspire you! Don’t forget to enter your card in the gallery! Thank you so much for starting your week off here with me! • Happy Easter Peeps!

    Happy Easter Peeps!

Happy Easter to my Peeps! Yesterday was a nice if not chilly day in Manhattan. I enjoyed my day with Barbara and Anna. There was a rather large order that came in and we unpacked it an put it out. There were some goodies in there for me too! I finally got my Gansai Tambi Watercolors! Can’t wait to give them a try! I also got a few more Hero sets! When the day was finished I headed to the Subway and managed to get the 7:12 train home! Dad got me from the station and I had dinner with my parents when we got back to the house. When I got back to my house I crafted for a bit and watched a little TV. Today I plan on getting a lot more crafting done! I took this picture when I ran to the bank yesterday, love all of the bikes in front of that pretty tree!

    citbikes Tree Village

I made a quick card when I got home last night and that’s what I have to share with you. My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I adhered a strip of Scotch Black Glitter Washi Tape down the left side. On top of that is a strip of Lawn Fawn Let’s Polka in the Meadow. 12×12 Paper. My tag is a piece of Marina Mist that I cut out with the Simon Says Stamp Large Tags Dies. Across the bottom is a piece of Garden Green that I cut with the Tag Die and then across the top I used the Lawn Fawn Grassy Border Lawn Cuts. My clouds are cut out from Solar White 80lb with the clouds from the Lawn Fawn Blue Skies Lawn Cuts. I adhered the grass and the clouds to the tag and trimmed off the sides of the clouds. My Peep is from the Simon Says Stamp My Kind of Peep Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Simon Says Stamp Duckling Ink with the outline stamped in Onyx Black. I used the Coordinating Dies to cut out the Peep and adhered it to the tag. A piece of Hemptique Black Hemp Twine is tied in a knot through the top of the tag and then the tag is adhered to the card with Fun Foam and SNAIL. My sentiment is from the same set and is heat embossed on Garden Green. I used the Lawn Fawn Everyday Sentiment Banners Lawn Cuts to cut it out running it through twice to make it a little shorter. Some Foam Tape adheres it to the tag and the card is done! I figured that I wanted to get one more use out of that Peeps set! I hope that you like my quick card for today and that you all have a very Happy Easter! Thanks for visiting me today! 🙂

  • Flutter Beautiful Bouquet

    Flutter Beautiful Bouquet

Hey there! I hope that your weekend is off to a great start! I enjoyed my time at Scrap-A-Latte yesterday! Renee usually does some kind of special when I’m there minding the shop and yesterday she posted on FaceBook that if you mentioned the post you got 20% off your purchase! Pretty cool! My parents brought Daniel by to see me and a little while later Brian stopped by with Izzy! Nice to have some visitors along with the customers! I FaceTimed with Andrea and updated my old MacBook Pro that I haven’t turned on in over a year! Still runs pretty well considering it’s over seven years old! On my way home I stopped by Heather’s so we could run up to IKEA once again! LOL! She had to get some greenery and a chandelier! Once I got back to my house I had dinner and watched a little TV before bed. Today I’ll be spending the day at The Ink Pad with the lovely Barbara! Come on by and say hi!

So I got some new goodies from Concord & 9th, love that company! I needed to play with them so that’s what yielded today’s card! The base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I covered the entire front with a piece of Black 110lb. Next I took a piece of Tim Holtz Watercolor Card and used my Spellbinders Artisan Explorer Machine to emboss the Concord & 9th Bouquet Die into the paper. I used Tumbled Glass, Mowed Lawn, Worn Lipstick, Wilted Violet and Picked Raspberry Distress Markers colored onto an acrylic block along with my paintbrush and some water to loosely trace over the die lines. It’s trimmed down a little and adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. My butterfly is cut from a piece of Vellum with the Concord & 9th Floral and Flutter Dies. I cut it again from some more Black 110lb and then trimmed off the wings and adhered the body to the Vellum with Multi-Matte Medium. It’s then adhered to the card with a thin sliver of Foam Tape. The greeting is cut from still more Black 110lb using the Concord & 9th Beautiful You Dies and that is also adhered to the card with Multi-Matte Medium. Finally what card would be complete without a few Aquamarine and Sparkling Clear Pretty Pink Posh Sequins?! I do love the Concords & 9th Dies, especially that butterfly, so nice and different! I hope that you enjoyed my card that I created for you today! Thank you so much for coming by! Have a stupendous Saturday! 🙂

    Global Design Project 28

Happy Friday my friends! It was a little chilly here yesterday and today we are supposed to get rain. I’ll be at Scrap-A-Latte for the day so Renee can have a little time to herself. Yesterday I crafted in the morning with Andrea via FaceTime and then went over and had lunch with Brian, Kim and the kiddies. When I got back home I saw Daniel for a little bit and then continued crafting. Around 7:00 Heather called and asked if I wanted to take a ride to IKEA to get a new desk with her so I gladly went. I put the desk together when we got back to her place and then updated her Mac for her. I also installed the software so that she can scan wirelessly. That made her a happy girl! I really do enjoy spending time with my peeps more than anything else!

For today’s card I thought that I would try out a new challenge, the Global Design Project

    GDP028 Jess Williams CASE

I took some of the layout from the card and made a fun little peeps wreath! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I took a piece of Solar White 80lb and used my Mini Ink Blending Tool to add a little Simon Says Stamp Audrey Blue to serve as a backdrop for my wreath. The panel is mounted to a piece of Black 110lb and that is then adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. The wreath is cut from some Tim Holtz Watercolor Card using the Simon Says Stamp Chisholm Wreath. I added some Gathered Twigs with an Ink Blending tool and adhered it to the card with Elmer’s Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. My peeps are from the Simon Says Stamp My Kind of Peep Photopolymer Stamp Set. They are heat embossed in Simon Says Stamp Clear Fine Detail Embossing Powder on more Watercolor Card and cut out with the Coordinating Dies. To color them in I used Abandoned Coral, Mermaid Lagoon and Twisted Citron Distress Markers scribbled onto a clear acrylic block and picked up with a wet paintbrush. I adhered them to the wreath with Foam Tape and added the eyes and noses with a Black Glaze Gel Pen. A few Pretty Pink Posh Aquamarine, Lime Sorbet and Sparkling Clear Sequins are added to the wreath in between the peeps. Finally my greeting, also from the same stamp set, is stamped in Onyx Black in the lower right corner. I still am loving those peeps and they look pretty neat watercolored! I hope that you enjoyed my first card for the Global Design Team Project challenge! Thanks for stopping by and have a fun filled Friday! 🙂
