  • Fab Friday 139 – Sketch!

    Fab Friday 139 – Sketch!

Happy Friday! I had a fun week. I went into Manhattan on Monday and stopped by The Ink Pad to see Anna and then headed uptown to se my friend Jim. I has been back to cooler weather here, I guess the Summer will show up eventually! This weekend I’m taking a ride up to PA with Kim to do a few errands for Jim. Should be a fun day! 😀

It’s time once again for a new Fab Friday challenge…

A nice simple sketch! I started my card by heat embossing the heart from the Concord & 9th Geode Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts Gold Glitter Embossing Powder onto a piece of Iridescent 53lb Vellum. It’s cut out with the Coordinating Die. I also heat embossed the greeting in same powder onto a strip of Black 110lb. For my card front I used the We R Memory Keepers Gemstone Next Level 3D Embossing Folder to emboss a piece of Black 110lb. That is adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I added some foam tape to the back of the greeting and hid some behind the heart to attach it to my card base. I love that Gemstone Embossing Folder and thought that it looked pretty cool with the Geode Heart! I hope that you like my Design Team card for the Fab Friday Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and share yours with us in the gallery! Thanks for spending some of your Friday with me! 🙂

  • Retro You’re My Jam – Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th!

Retro You’re My Jam – Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th!

Hi everyone! It’s time for my June Solo Post over on the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Challenge Blog! When I saw the new Mix Tape Stamps and Dies I had to have them! Brings back memories of my youth! LOL!

I started by stamping the cassette tape from the Concord & 9th Mix Tape Photopolymer Stamp Set in Black Licorice onto Solar White 80lb and then used the Coordinating Die to cut it out. I used some of the other Dies in the Set to cut out the outline of the tape and music notes. I also used another Die to emboss the detail on the Black Die cut. I assembled the cassette tape and used my Mini Misti to stamp the “tape heart” onto my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. Next I stamped the You’re My Jam onto more Solar White 80lb and cut it out with my Scissors. To assemble the card I used 3m Foam Tape to adhere the cassette tape and greeting to my card base and some Multi-Matte Medium to add the music notes. A nice simple black and white card to give to someone special!

I hope that you like the card for my June Solo Post for the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Blog! Don’t forget that you can follow us on Instagram and Facebook! • Fab Friday 138 – Colors!

    Fab Friday 138 – Colors!

Hello!! How are you all?! I’m good! It was such a beautiful day yesterday, nice and warm and sunny! I had a meeting at Nassau Community College in the morning and then after that I took a little time to sit outside and enjoy! Wednesday I was at The Ink Pad covering the Shop for Anna so that she could go to the Stationary Show at the Javits Center. This past weekend I was in PA with Jim. They had a tornado touch down on the property and it did quite a bit of damage. Thankfully none to Jim’s house. I don’t have any big plans for this weekend, just going to take it easy, what about you guys? 😀

I received some new goodies from Concord & 9th and finally had the urge to make a card! Yay! Been such a long time! That card is for the Fab Friday challenge…

I started by heat embossing the large geode from the Concord & 9th Geode Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts Platinum Embossing Powder onto a piece of Bristol Smooth Card. Next I used my Mini Ink Blending Tool to add some Plastic Flamingo, Peachy Keen and Ballet Slippers Ink. The Coordinating Die cuts out the image. To make it look a little more realistic I painted on Multi-Matte Medium and then added Clear Rock Candy Distress Glitter. It’s then added to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with a piece of Grey 110lb on the front for the background. My greeting is also from the Concord & 9th Geode Dies and is cut from Black 110lb and adhered to the card with 3M Foam Tape. I love that stamp, such a cool image and not one that I have seen before! I hope that you like my Design Team card for the Fab Friday Color Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and share yours with us in the gallery! Thank you so much for spending some time with me today! Have a fabulous Friday and a fun weekend! 🙂

  • Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th – Floral!

Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th – Floral!

Happy mid-week! The weather has finally gotten a little more Spring like here on Long Island and I’m loving it! I have been making sure that I spend a lot of time outside! Even it’s just sitting in the backyard doing a little reading. Speaking of reading I have read 6 books in the past three weeks! I got a Kindle Paperwhite and am loving it! The series that I just finished is called Breakthrough by Michael Grumley. It was fantastic and I highly recommend it! I also bought a Pallet Buster to easily take apart pallets for some projects. Another highly recommended item! 😀

It’s release day over at Concord & 9th so that means that it’s time for a new challenge over on the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th blog…

I have been on a wreath kick lately, they make such a nice focal point for a card and they aren’t just for the Holiday’s anymore! I began by stamping the wreath from the Concord & 9th Magnolia Wreath Photopolymer Stamp Set in Freshly Cut Grass and Jalapeño using my Mini MISTI. I then stamped the greeting from the same set in Black Licorice. For the flowers I used the Coordinating Die Set to cut them from some 65lb Rose Quartz Stardream Metallic. To adhere them to the card I used Mini Glue Dots and added a Basic Jewel Rhinestone to the center of each of them for a little sparkle! Another simple card! I do love the metallic look of the flowers, adds a little something extra don’t you think?!

I hope that you like my Design Team card for this month’s Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Spring Challenge! We hope that you will take some time to share your creation with us! • Happy Everything Wreath – Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th

Happy Everything Wreath – Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th

Hello! Remember me?! It’s been a while! I have been keeping myself pretty busy doing all sorts of things. Crafting unfortunately has not been one of them! While you are reading this I will be in PA with Jim opening up the Lake House for the Summer season! Oh how I have missed it! Some peace and tranquility for a few days! I’m also really looking forward to the warmer weather! I did go into Manhattan on Thursday to see my friend Ella. It was 92 degrees! A nice little prelude of what’s to come! 😀

Today, It’s time for my May Solo Post over on the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Challenge Blog! I love that Wreath Turnabout Stamp Set, so many color possibilities and so simple to use!

I started my card with a piece of Solar White 80lb cut to 4″ x 4″ and placed it in my Mini MISTI. I used the alignment guide to align the wreath from the Concord & 9th Wreath Turnabout Photopolymer Stamp Set and stamped it in Ballet Slippers, Freshly Cut Grass, Hippo and Merman. Next I heat embossed the greeting from the same set in Hero Arts Copper Embossing Powder onto a strip of 65lb Vellum. Some E-Z Runner Ultra Strong adheres the strip around the back of the stamped panel. The panel is then adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock cut to 4 1/4″ x 8 1/2″ and folded with E-Z Runner and Fun Foam. For a little more sparkle I added some Pretty Pink Posh Rose Gold Sequins and the card is done! I do love that wreath and the simple greeting!

  • SIP Challenge 147 – Color It!

SIP Challenge 147 – Color It!

Hello strangers!! It’s been way too long! I have been keeping busy with lots of different things. My Mojo is still MIA, I don’t know what happened! I guess after 5 years of making a card a day my creativity wore a little thin. The thing I miss the most is talking to all of you! I have been to Manhattan a few times to see some of my peeps. Jim and I went in a few weeks ago and stopped by The Ink Pad and then went an had Indian Food with my friend Kim. That was fun! I’m also watching Daniel and Tristan twice a week now which is great! I love getting to spend time with them! I also need to go and see about getting the top in my car fixed, it’s convertible season and I miss putting down the roof! Today is also Jim’s Birthday! Happy Birthday Jim!! 😀

We have a fun Color It challenge over on the Stamp, Ink, Paper blog this week…

My favorite kind of cards to make are ones with large images that can just be stamped! Concord & 9th has a great new set in their April release and I used it to make a set of cards! I started by cutting my card bases from Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stack and using my Stamparatus! I love the fact that it has more than one plate and that they are removable. It’s especially handy when you are stamping layering stamps! I used the Concord & 9th Painted Rose Photopolymer Stamp Set. The outline and greeting are stamped in Black Licorice. I stamped the leaves in Jalapeño and Noble Fir. Each of the flowers are stamped in two in colors. Ballet Slippers and Peachy Keen, Minty Fresh and Merman, Sunflower and Carrot, and finally Grape Soda and Juice Box. I added the spatters in the lighter of the two colors around the rose and the cards are done! Now I have a nice set of cards to give to someone that will work for many different occasions! I hope that you like my Design Team Cards for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Color It Challenge! The is more inspiration over on the BLOG so be sure to check it out and share your card with us in the gallery! It’s so nice to get to share with you again and I really appreciate you stopping by! Have a terrific Tuesday everyone! 🙂

Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th – Spring!

Hello and a very happy Monday to you all! Did you have a nice weekend?! Mine was pretty good. Friday night at Brian and Kim’s was a lot of fun. It was nice to see everyone! Saturday I worked on some projects and then Sunday I sort of took it easy. The weather was pretty nice, although I’m still waiting for Spring! It’s not here yet and I saw this morning that there may be more snow later in the week! Winter just seems to have forgotten that’s it’s overstayed its welcome! 😀

It’s release day over at Concord & 9th so that means that it’s time for a new challenge over on the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th blog…

To me Spring means nice bright colors and lots of flowers. But it also means that wedding season is starting. I decided to make a pretty simple card that would be perfect to give to the new couple! To start I heat embossed the large floral from the Concord & 9th Wonderful Florals Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder onto a piece of Ivory 110lb Card Stock. It’s cut out with the Coordinating Die and added to a card base of Ivory 110lb with 3M Foam Tape. The letters are cut out with one of the other Dies in the set from Silver Glitter Card and adhered to the floral panel with more 3M Foam Tape. Nice and simple but with lots of bling! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this month’s Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Spring Challenge! We hope that you will take some time to share your creation with us! Head over to the BLOG for more inspiration! Don’t forget that you can follow us on Instagram and Facebook! • Rainbow Unicorn Birthday – Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th!

Rainbow Unicorn Birthday – Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th!

Almost to the weekend! Yay! It’s chilly here on Long Island again, where oh where is Spring?! I have been keeping really busy with lots of projects, sometimes a little too busy but it does make the days go by quick! Everyone by me is doing well. Jim and I will be going over to Brian and Kim’s tomorrow evening for a little get together. Their house is finished so there is a nice big space for us all to hang out in! It will be fun to see everyone, just like old times! 😀

Now, It’s time for my April Solo Post over on the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Challenge Blog! I used a new set and an older one that I thought were made for each other!

I started by stamping the rainbow from the Concord & 9th Rainbow Wishes Photopolymer Stamp Set in Sugarplum, Fish Tank, Jalapeno, Sunflower, Carrot and Lobster Ink using my MISIT so I could easily line up the individual stripes. The greeting is then stamped in Jet Black. My unicorn is from the Concord & 9th Unicorn Awesomeness Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Jet Black and colored in with Copics. I added some Nuvo Aqua Shimmer Glitter Gloss Pen to the mane and tail and then used the Coordinating Dies to cut him out. For the clouds I used one of the dies from the Rainbow Wishes Die Set and cut the clouds out from Silver Glitter Card. They are adhered to the card with E-Z Runner and trimmed. All that was left to do was to add the unicorn with 3M Foam Tape and the card is done! Who doesn’t like a card with a  rainbow and a unicorn?!

I hope that you like the card for my April Solo Post for the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Blog! Don’t forget that you can follow us on Instagram and Facebook! • SIP Challenge 144 – Birthday!

    SIP Challenge 144 – Birthday!

Hello! I finally had a little burst of Mojo the other day! It has been elusive as of late! I have also been busy working on a new project that I will get to share with you soon. A little business venture! I have been keeping myself busy helping out with some computer stuff for friends. There really hasn’t been much else going on. I did go into Manhattan to see some friends last weekend but other than that not much else has been happening! We had another three inches of snow yesterday but thankfully it’s all gone! Now I would like it if Spring could finally get it’s act together! LOL! 😀

I have a simple stamped card to share with you today for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge

I started by stamping the banner and sentiment from the Concord & 9th Banners & Blooms Photopolymer Stamp Set in Jet Black onto a piece of Solar White 80lb using my Mini MISTI. The rest of the images are from the same set and are also stamped in Jet Black. To color them in I used my Copics, doing some very simple shading just to give them a little depth. All that was left to do was to adhere the panel to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. Nice and simple and very easy to make quick duplicates of! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Birthday Challenge! Check out the rest of the Team’s cards over on the BLOG and share your creation with us in the gallery! Thank you for visiting with me today! Have a terrific Tuesday! 🙂

    SIP Challenge 142 – Colors!

Hello everyone! I hope that you had a nice weekend and that your week is off to a good start! I had a very quiet weekend, I did go over and see Brian & Kim on Saturday. They had an addition added to their house and it’s so nice and really big now! They needed the space! Last night Jim came by for a bit so that we could work on a couple of projects on the computer. I’m a bit late today, I managed to get some crafty time in and I didn’t want to stop while Mojo was present! LOL! We are to get more snow later on today into tomorrow. Between 1 and 11 inches, I’m hoping for the latter! 😀

I have my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge to share with you today! This week we have some fun colors…

I started by using my Mini MISTI to stamp the Concord & 9th Posie Fill-In background onto a piece of Solar White 80lb with Hippo Ink. The flowers and leaves are stamped using the Fill-In images and Merman, Peacock and Jalapeño Ink. I adhered the background to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. Across the top half is a piece of Grey Sparkle Washi Tape and a thin strip of Peacock on top of that. My greeting is cut from Medium Grey 110lb four times using the Concord & 9th Hooray Die. I used Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive to adhere the hoorays to each other and Multi-Matte Medium to adhere it to the card. It’s coated with Nuvo Glitter Gloss Aqua Shimmer Pen. For a little added bling I scattered Pretty Pink Posh Peacock and Shamrock Sequins around the flowers. I love the grid background on the stamp and the fun hooray! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Color Challenge! Head on over to the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and we hope that you will share your card with us in the gallery! Thank you for stopping by today! Enjoy the rest of your Tuesday! 🙂
