Paper Players 323

The rain continued and so did the leaks in the ceiling at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store! Since a lot of the ceiling tiles have come down it was only pouring water in two places! LOL! I guess that’s better, right?! Other than the rain it was a nice day at the Store. My Parents came by for a visit and Renee had her Home Decor make up day so some ladies came in and painted their Santa pieces. I worked on some projects and made my card for today. On the way home I had stop at the DSW across the street from the Store to pick up some boots for Heather. Mum made stew for dinner, perfect for the weather that we have been having! After dinner I went over to Heather’s and gave her the boots, we ran to BJ’s and then went back to her house where she made me lunch for tomorrow! She really is very good to me! Today I want to package up my SIP Tags Kit and get a class together for a few weeks from now. Always something to do! 😀

The card that I have to share with you today is for this week’s Paper Players sketch challenge from my friend Sandy…

paper-players-323

I kept my card very simple! The base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the front covered in a piece of Kraft. I stamped the script stamp from the Hero Arts Vintage Post Photopolymer Stamp Set using my Mini MISTI (makes the repeat stamping so easy) in Versa-Mark and heat embossed it with Hero Arts White Satin Embossing Powder. The panel is adhered to the card with E-Z Runner and Fun Foam. Across the lower half is a piece of Chinese Red that I flagged on the left. My mistletoe is from the Hero Arts Holly Days Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Hero Arts Intense Black Ink, again using the MISTI so I could stamp it a few times, onto Kraft. I used my Prismacolor Pencils to color it in. It’s cut out with the Coordinating Die and adhered to red strip with more E-Z Runner. My greeting is from the same set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts Gold onto a piece of 48lb Vellum with the left side flagged. I used Kool-Tak Clear Foam Tape to adhered it over the mistletoe. A little sprinkling of Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins and the card is finished! I love that Hero Arts White Satin Embossing Powder and I was inspired by the incredibly talented Stephanie Klauck to use my colored pencils on Kraft Card Stock! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Players sketch challenge! Thanks for coming by today! Have an awesome Thursday! 🙂

Fab Friday 101

So, did any of you venture out for some Black Friday deals?! I got a few things from Amazon but other than that I was good! I had a super relaxing day yesterday! I didn’t get out of bed until 10:00AM! I never do that! And I watched two movies! I’m still stuffed from yesterday! Taylor and I had pizza and port wine cheddar and crackers! LOL! I never use my stove because it’s gas and scares me! But we made it! LOL! Today I have my Black Friday sales at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store! Hoping to be really busy! 😀

If you did got out and shop or eat too much sit back and relax and enjoy the new Fab Friday sketch…

fab-fri-101-11-25-2016

One of the new things that I got on Wednesday was an awesome paper pad and I used it on today’s card! The base is Ivory 100lb Card Stock with the front covered in a piece of Kraft. I used three pieces of paper from the TrimCraft Wild at Heart 6×6 Paper Pad. One for the top part of the background, one for the strip and another for the circle which is cut out with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Circles Stackables Lawn Cuts. I also used the Lawn Fawn Stitched Circles Frames Lawn Cuts to cut out a piece of Pluto Stardream Metallic for a frame around the circle. That circle is adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. My deer head is cut from a piece of Ionized Metallic and two pieces of Ivory 110lb Card Stock. I adhered them to each other with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. To the back of it I adhered some branches that I cut out from more Kraft with the Lea-bilities Holly Leaves & Pine Branches Dies. To hold all of that to the circle I used a 3D Foam Square. My greeting is from the Hero Arts Many Everyday Messages Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Onyx Black onto more Kraft and adhered with more 3D Foam Squares. So what do you think, can it get more masculine than that?! I hope that you like my Design Team card for the Fab Friday Sketch Challenge! Go on over and see the rest of the Team’s cards on the BLOG and let’s see your card in the gallery! Thank you for coming but today! Have a fabulous Friday! 🙂

Mojo Monday 460

It’s Monday, another weekend for the books! Day two of the crop was fun! Everyone gets along and helps each other out. It’s a very nice atmosphere to be creative in! I made a duplicate of the scrapbook page that I made for my Sister-in-law for my Mum, I changed the flowers to purple because that’s her favorite color. When I got home, a little early and after a very nice ride home, I had some dinner and then tried to figure out why the AC in my car isn’t working. I hardly ever use it but I do need it for the defogger. After some tinkering around my Dad and I think that it’s the Climate Control Relay. I’ll have to see where I can get one of those from and change it. Fun! Today I need to work on my Newsletter for the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store and the new release from Concord & 9th will be arriving at the store. I need to get that entered and then have a little play before it’s released tomorrow!

Starting another week of the best way! With this week’s Mojo Monday sketch…

Mojo460

I got a few new goodies from Hero Arts that I needed to play with and this sketch was just perfect! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used two pieces of Patterned Paper from the Jen Hadfield DIY Home 6×6 Paper Pad. One is the strip on the left and the other I cut out with the Sizzix Circles Framelits. My two cool notebook page like things are a piece of Smoky Slate and a piece of Basic Gray that I cut out with the Hero Arts Kelly’s To Do List Stamp & Cuts. They are adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. My heart is a piece of Blushing Bride that I cut out with the Hero Arts Kelly’s Clips Stamp & Cut. For my greeting I used the Hero Arts Love Stamp & Cut. The Love is cut from a piece of The Paper Cut Galvanized Curious Metallic and and the rest of the greeting is stamped in Onyx Black on the Smoky Slate piece. I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear and Onyx Sequins, Essential By Ellen Iridescent Gray Sequins and a few My Mind’s Eye Lost & Found Christmas Enamel Dots to finish the card. I really like that Paper Pad, great colors and fun patterns and the Kelly’s Stamp & Cuts are great for more than just planners! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge! Don’t forget to head on over the the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s take on the sketch and enter your card in the gallery! Thank you for starting your week off here, I really appreciate your visits! Have a monumental Monday! 🙂

Paper Players 300!

I am one tired guy! LOL! Super busy day at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store! Three orders arrived and Renee had some computer issues. My friend Sue came up for a little bit to help, she’s so good to me! It’s her Birthday today!! Happy Birthday Sue!! She said that she may stop by the store later on today! I hope that she does! I have a very special card that I made just for her! We had a couple new customers, that’s my favorite part! Getting to help the customers and share my love of creating! Sounds corny but it’s true! When I got home I had some dinner at my parent’s and then tried to get some things accomplished around the house but instead I retreated to the Stampin’ Galley and crafted for a few hours while chatting with my friend Eva! Felt good to sit in my little room and create! Tonight I have the Intro to Altenew Class, can’t wait to make some cards with my peeps!

Today I’m playing along with the Paper Players for their 300th Challenge! The theme is Celebration, how appropriate…

Paper Players #300

I dusted off an oldie but a goodie to make today’s card! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I took a piece of Basic Gray and heat embossed my fireworks from The Ton’s Pyrotechnics Photopolymer Stamp Set in Ranger Silver Pearl and Gold Tinsel and WOW! Spring Breeze Glitter Embossing Powders. My frame is cut from a piece of Gold Mirror Card using the Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangle Frames. I used the Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangles to cut out a piece of Acetate and adhered that to the back of the frame with Scor-Tape. A layer of Foam Tape is added and some Gold Chunky Glitter and Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Flat Mix is sprinkled in the card. I adhered the window part to the card and then used the Essentials by Ellen Zipper Panel Dies to cut out the word Celebrate from some more Gold Mirror Card. That is adhered to the window with Elmer’s Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive and the card is done! I wish you could see the card in person because the pictures don’t do it justice! The way the fireworks sparkle when you move it back and forth in the light is amazing! I hope that you enjoyed my card for the Paper Players 300th Challenge! Thank you, as always, for stopping by. You guys make my days amazing! Have a tantalizing Thursday! 🙂

OSAT Blog Hop – Toc-Tac-Toe!

OSAT Blog Hop Banner

It was definitely a little nicer here yesterday! Warmer and sunny all day! We are supposed to get up into the 70’s over the weekend finally! My little trip to the Dr. with Brian yesterday morning was a lengthy one! We got there at 8:15 and by the time that he was finished it was 11:15! I had a nice little nap in the car so it was all good! We stopped by the deli on the way home and I had lunch with him and Kim. Once I got back to my house I managed to get a little crafting done. Heather came and got me at 4:30 so we could make a quick run to BJ’s. I had dinner with my parent’s and then headed over to Heather’s. We had a nice evening and watched some YouTube videos and a few movie trailers. Today I need to get my laundry done! It’s been three weeks! I don’t know what’s worse, the fact that I have enough clothes for three weeks to wear or to wash! LOL!

For my projects today I’m participating in a blog hop with a bunch of my friends from one of the Facebook groups that I belong to. It’s called One Stamp at a Time Cards and More. This month we have a Tic-Tac-Toe board! Love Tic-Tac-Toe, you get a really nice variation in the projects that way!

OSAT Tic-Tac-Toe

If you have arrived here from my friend Dena’s blog welcome! I love her projects!! I have a card and a little tag for you today so let’s get to it!

First up is my card. I used Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock for the base and covered that in a piece of Desert Storm 80lb. My frame is a piece of Woodgrain Card Stock from Ellen Hutson that I cut out with the Mama Elephant Framed Tags – Madison Avenue Creative Cuts. A generous coating of Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush Pen is added to it and then it’s adhered to the card with E-Z Runner. My flowers are Solar White 80lb and Cucumber Crush that I cut out with The Ton Petal Cut Peonies Dies. They are all coated with Elmer’s Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive and then adhered to the card. The greeting is from the Hero Arts Many Everyday Messages Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed on Vellum with Hero Arts White Embossing Powder and adhered to the card with Tombo Vellum Adhesive. The card needed a little more sparkle so I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins! I love that Woodgrain Card Stock, I have had it for a long time but just recently “found” it!

OSAT March 2016 Blog Hop - Card-WM

No on to the coordinating tag! The front is cut from the same Woodgrain Card Stock using the Mama Elephant Framed Tags – Madison Avenue Creative Cuts along with a piece of Fun Foam. The set also comes with a solid tag without the circle cutout and that’s what I used to cut out the Acetate and the backing from another piece of Desert Storm 80lb. I assembled the layers adhering them together with Scor-Tape filling in the shaker with Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins. My greeting is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder on a piece of Cucumber Crush that is cut out with another die form the same set. I adhered it to the card with Foam Tape and tied a piece of Lawn Fawn Green Sparkle Lawn Trimmings String though the top.

SIP Challenge 37 – Wood, Cork, Felt!

Hello! It turned out to be a very nice day here yesterday after a brief shower in the morning. I headed over to Scrap-A-Latte to go and see Renee and finish my cards for the March Lawn Fawn class. We chatted and then had some dinner before I headed home. When I got back to the house I let Winston out and I was standing there reading something on my iPhone when I was startled to see a raccoon the size of a small bear cub walk by me not four feet away! Thankfully I had already let Winston in! YIKES! I guess as long as neither one of us bothers the other one all is good! LOL! This morning I’m off to spend the day at Scrap-A-Latte so Renee can have a little time off. Come by and say hi if you are in the area!

Tuesday… yup it’s Tuesday! Time for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! We are also welcoming Marisa Gunn as a Guest Designer for the month of March! Thanks for joining us Marisa! This week I came up with a fun Wood, Cork, Felt Challenge…

SIP Challenge 37 Wood, Cork, Felt 800

All you have to do is use one of these on your project! I of course had to use all three! LOL! The card base for today is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with a piece of Pink Pirouette covering the front. I adhered a panel of Adhesive Cork Sheet on top of that. My tag is a wooden one that I picked up at Michaels along with the butterfly. The flowers and leaves are cut out from some pink and light green felt, also from Michaels, with the Essential by Ellen Bold Blooms Stand Alone Dies. I adhered them to the wooden tag with Multi-Matte Medium along with the butterfly. A length of Papertrey Ink Natural Twine is tied thought the top and then the tag is adhered to the card with E-Z- Runner. My greeting is from the Mama Elephant Labeled Messages Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Simon Says Stamp Jellybean Ink on a piece of Ivory 100lb and also adhered with E-Z Runner. I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Clear Droplets with more Multi-Matte Medium to give the card just a little more texture! I really do enjoy using some natural elements on a card, makes for a nice change from paper alone! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! Go on over to the BLOG and see what our fabulous Design Team has come up with to inspire you! We hope to see one your creations in the gallery this week! Thanks so much for stopping but today! Mojo Monday 432

Day two of Snowmageddon 2016. Got my car all dug out and then last night the plows finally came through and put it all back, thanks town workers! Our final total here was 30 inches, that’s a little too much I think! I believe that the snow should be only in the mountains! People that like it can go there to experience it! LOL! The rest of my day was spent crafting and watching a little TV. The X-Files returned last night and was just as amazing as I had hoped that it would be! The second part is on tonight! All of the original cast is there, it was so good to see Scully and Mulder back together! I watched all nine season when it aired years ago and the new episode didn’t disappoint. It’s a six part series, hopefully they will bring it back with a full season! This morning I will go and dig out my car… again. If the plows come back I will not be held responsible for my actions!

The start of the week and we have another new Mojo Monday sketch…

Mojo432

I guess that my card was influenced by the weather! The base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and the background is a piece of paper from the Silent Night 6×6 Paper Pad that I got whilst in London! My three banners are cut from Smoky Slate, Soft Sky and Basic Gray. For the panel I used the Simon Says Stamp Snowflake Block Craft Die to cut out another piece of Solar White 110lb. I sprayed the back with Elmer’s Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive and adhered it to a piece of Vellum and that is adhered to the card with Multi-Matte Medium. The Basic Gray Circle is punched out with the 1″ Circle Punch along with a piece of Smoky Slate. I heat embossed the snowflake from the Simon Says Stamp Circle Saying Holidays Photopolymer Stamp Set in Ranger Silver Pearl Embossing Powder. The Birthday Wishes is from the Simon Says Stamp Birthday Balloons Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts White. The are both adhered to the card with Foam Tape. A little sprinkling of Essentials by Ellen Iridescent Gray and Pretty Pink Posh Sparking Clear Sequins competes the card. I love the colors and think that it would make the perfect winter birthday card! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge! Make sure and head on over to the blog and check out the rest of the teams cards! Thank you so much for staring another week off with me! Have an awesome Monday peeps! 🙂

Paper Players 271

The sun came out for a little while yesterday and today it’s supposed to be rainy. Brian stopped by yesterday to work on a little project that he is making and I worked on my card for today. After he left I ran over to Scrap-A-Latte to cut for class. From there it was back home and then over to my parent’s for dinner. It really is convenient living right next door! When I got back home I watched the Zedd True Colors concert from San Francisco on YouTube and then watched a few crafty videos. I also continued the purge for a little bit. This morning I’m back over to Scrap-A-Latte for two classes today, I’ll run home in between and get a little crafty on! What’s on for you today?

The card that I made yesterday is for this week’s Paper Players challenge…

Paper Players #271

As soon as I saw this I knew exactly what I wanted to use! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with a piece of Night of Navy covering the entire front. The stamp is from Hero Arts and is called Snowy Scene. I inked it with Hero Arts Pool to Navy Ombre Ink and stamped it on a piece of Solar White 80lb. My greeting is two parts, the die cut is from the Ellen Hutson Essential by Ellen Zipper Panel Set and is cut from another piece of Night of Navy and adhered to the card with Multi-Matte Medium. The stamped part is from the Hero Arts Color Layering Dimensional Bird Photopolymer Stamp Set and is inked with the middle of the Ombre Pad. The panel is then adhered to the card with Fun Foam and SNAIL. To give it a little sparkle I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins to the stamped image. I LOVE that Snowy Scene Stamp, as soon as I saw it I knew I had to have it and it looks so cool stamped in the Pool to Navy Ombre Ink! I hope that you enjoy my card for this week’s Paper Players challenge!! Thank you so much for visiting today and I wish you all a thrilling Thursday! 🙂

SIP Challenge 22 – Free for Fall!

I had another fun filled day at The Ink Pad yesterday with Anna and Jane. I made some samples and helped out with a custom stamp. I really do enjoy spending time there, such great store and such nice people! When I got home I had a ham sandwich for dinner and then puttered around in the Stampin’ Galley for a bit. Its supposed to rain today so I’m going to go over and see Renee for a bit. The products for this month’s card class have come in so I need to start making samples and getting ready for that! I also have some errands to run and lots of organizing to do. Should be another busy day!

The winners were announced for last week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge yesterday. What an amazing collection of cards we had in the gallery last week! I want to personally thank all that participated, your cards were awesome! With that said it’s time for this week’s challenge…

SIP Challenge 22 Theme Fall 800

This week we ask you to make a fall themed project! It can be a card, a tag, gift box, place card… anything that you want! I decided on a pack of cards. The bases are Ivory 110lb Card Stock. I embossed a piece of Early Espresso with the We R Memory Keepers Woodgrain Embossing Folders, there are two in the pack, one that is woodgrain and another has trees. Next up is a piece of Vellum that I cut out with the Simon Says Stamp Thanks Card Die. My leaves are cut from some My Colors Bronze and The Paper Cut White Gold Curious Metallic using the Lawn Fawn Small Stitched Leaves. I adhered them to the Vellum with Foam Tape and then used Score Tape hidden behind the leaves to adhere the Vellum to the card. For a little sparkle I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Bronze and Ellen Hutson Iridescent Ivory Sequins. I think that four cards and envelopes given to someone that you are going to see for Thanksgiving would make a nice little gift, don’t you? I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! Pay a visit to the blog and check out what the rest of my Team has come up with to inspire you! We can’t wait to see your projects in the gallery! Thank you for stopping by today! Have a terrific Tuesday! 🙂

Paper Players 265

It was another beautiful day here yesterday and looks to be the same today. I stayed in for a good part of the day and worked on some projects and FaceTimed with Andrea for a while. Last night I ran over to see Heather and FaceTimed with Jules for a bit with she was on break. She works at Heathrow for their version of the TSA and was having a latte in Costa! I’ll be heading into Manhattan in a bit to work at The Ink Pad again today, so if you are in the area stop by and say hi!

Before I get to this week’s card for the Paper Players card I wanted to thank Lisa for choosing my card for her Cut Above from last week’s challenge! You can see the winners post here and my original post here!

I was inspired by Michael’s bright colors in his work to make my card for this week’s Paper Players challenge…

Paper Players #265

Today’s card begins with a base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the front covered in a piece of Black. I took a piece of Solar White 80lb and used my Mini Ink Blending Tool with some Twisted Citron, Hickory Smoke and Picked Raspberry Distress Ink to create the background. My greeting is from an old Paper Pumpkin Kit and is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder. The background is then adhered to the card with Fun Foam and SNAIL. The cool skull is from the Simon Says Stamp Sugar Skulls Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and cut out with the Coordinating Die. I used my Copics to color him in and then added some Stardust Stickles on some areas for a little sparkle. He’s adhered to the card with Foam Tape. Finally, a few Pretty Pink Posh Charcoal and Essentials By Ellen Iridescent Grey Sequins are scattered around and complete the card. A really bright card for me but I do love that Sugar Skull! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Paper Players challenge! Thanks very much for your visit today and I wish you all a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂
