  • Apothecary Label For You

Good morning peeps. I hope that everyone had a nice weekend! Mine was great! Thanks to all of you that stopped by from Sandy’s blog (www.stampwithsandy.com) yesterday! For today’s card I wanted to use the leftover from the cutouts I have from using the new Framelits Dies, being careful to make sure that they are in the middle of the cardstock when I cut them. I have been on a blue and brown kick lately so bear with me! The base of the card is Crumb Cake. I used the Texturz Plates Backgrounds 1 and ran some Very Vanilla throughout the big shot after I used the Adorning Accents Edgelits Die to crop off the end of the paper and the sponged the edges. I stamped one of the beautiful images from the Apothecary Art Set in Not Quite Navy and cut that out using the Labels Collection Edgelits. That was mounted on some Crumb cake that was sponged on the edges with Not Quite Navy. A strip of Not Quite Navy along the edge ties it together. For the finishing touches I mounted the greeting and frame on some Stampin’ Dimensionals and used some Neutrals Brads in Crumb Cake on the corners. Thanks so much for stopping by and have an awesome day!

  • Apothecary Dream and Sneak Peek

Good morning everyone! I hope that everyone is having a nice weekend. Mine has been good. A wonderful and talented friend of mine, Sandy, has been kind enough to feature a card/box that I made for her on her blog today. Make sure that you stop by and take a look: www.stampwithsandy.com. For today’s card I used one of my favorite color combinations, blue and brown. The card Stock is Island Indigo, Soft Suede, Crumb Cake and Very Vanilla. The Adorning Accents Edgelits Dies are a great way to add an intesting edge to any card and when paired with the Adorning Accents Textured Impressions Embossing Folders the look is quite stunning. I stamped a stamp from the Apothecary Art Stamp Set in Island Indigo and cut it out with the new Labels Collection Framelits. They let you see exactly where you are cutting and give great results every time. The strip of Crumb Cake was embossing with one of  Texturz Plates Backgrounds 1 for a subtle look. For the finishing touch I used one of the printed brads from the Everyday Enchantment Ribbon and Brad Pack from the new Sale-A-Bration Catalog (starts January 24th!). I can’t wait for you to see all of the great items that you can get for free with every $50 that you spend. I hope that you like the card and as always, thanks so much for stopping by!

  • Butterfly Prints & Sneak Peek

Happy Saturday morning to you all! I hope that you all enjoy your three day weekend. For today’s card I decided to mix a little old with the new. For the old I used the Butterfly Prints Stamp Set with the Butterfly Punch. The butterflies are stamped in Concord Crush and Pretty In Pink. The greeting is from the set Outlined Occasions in the new Sale-A-Bration Catalog (available January 24, 2012). I like the fact that it’s outlined so that you could color it in if you want but it looks great just by itself. I used the Petals-A-Plenty Textured Impressions Embossing Folder for the background on Concord Crush Card Stock. For a nice finishing touch I used the Floral Fusion Sizzlits die held together with a small Silver Brad and mounted it to the card with a Glue Dot. It’s a nice fun clean card that looks like it’s celebrating all on it’s own! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

  • Mojo 223

Good morning everyone! I hope that everyone is having a good week. For this week’s Mojo Monday sketch I went with a Valentine’s card. This week’s sketch is also one of my favorites so far.

I used some of the Love Letters Designer Series Paper from the Clearance Rack. I think it goes quite nicely with one the flowers from the Mixed Bunch Stamp Set in the new Occasions Mini Catalog. The flower is stamped in Riding Hood Red and punched out with the Blossom Punch. I also punched one out in Chocolate Chip to put behind it. I love the P.S. I Love You Stamp Set, there are so many great sayings and images. I especially love the stamp that goes with the Modern Label Punch. I used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to line up the greeting for perfect placement. The 1 3/4″ Scallop Circle Punch makes a perfect backdrop for the cute circle of hearts punched out with the 1 3/8″ Circle Punch. The 1″ Circle punch works great with the Hand Crafted Stamp and I used some dimensionals for a little pop. I am also liking the Vintage Wallpaper Textured Impressions Embossing Folder that I used some Crumb Cake Card Stock with it to break up the color a little. The decorative Label Punch is the perfect little addition to the the bottom of the polkadot paper. For the lower background I coordinated with the Perfect Polkadots Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. The perfect finishing touch, some 1/4″ Very Vanilla Grosgrain Ribbon. I hope that you like this weeks Mojo card and as always, thanks for stopping by. Have a great day!

  • Flower Fest In-Color Birthday

Good morning everyone. I hope that everyone had a nice Monday. For today’s card I used the Flower Fest Stamp Set and the 2010-2012 In-Colors. The base of the card is Very Vanilla. The images are also stamped on Very Vanilla using Concord Crush, Peach Parfait and Poppy Parade Ink. I like the way that the stamped images look a little like they were drawn using crayon. The Flower Fest Set coordinates with five different punches. I used three, the 2 3/8″ Scalloped Circle, Fancy Flower, and 5 Petal Flower Punches. For the background I used Pear Pizzaz Card Stock and the Stripes Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. The greeting is from the Happiest Birthday Wishes Set and Is stamped in Concord Crush and put on some Peach Parfait Card Stock. I needed a little color boost and this card provided the perfect outlet! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

  • PPA 126

Morning peeps! I hope that everyone is having a good weekend. Mine got off to a nice start with a friend’s birthday party last night. We had lots of fun! Now off to the business at hand! This weeks Pals Paper Arts Challenge is a color challenge. I love the color combination of Baja Breeze, Not Quite Navy and Very Vanilla. I has a nice calming effect.

For my card I used the very cool new Adorning Accents Edgelits dies and the Adorning Accents Textured Impressions Embossing Folders. I love the way they look together, almost like a piping with the nice clean cut. I also used the Labels Collection Framelits Dies. I love how they come in a nice selection of sizes making it easy to layer them for a polished look. The stamp set is a favorite of mine, Nature Walk. I thought that the greeting from the new Loving Thoughts Set of Happiness was appropriate since it appears that the bird has left the cage and is free! A quick punch with the Pinking Hearts Border Punch on each side and some sponging on the edges of the image and the Lattice Squares embossed paper and it’s done. Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great day!

  • Garden Blossom Elegance

Good morning peeps! It’s Friday! Saying that always makes me happy! So, yesterday morning I was looking at all of my blogs that I read and that clever Mary Fish (www.stampinpretty.com) had a great tip. Save the leftover rubber from your stamp sets because the pieces can be used for other things. Her video yesterday showed you how to use a piece from the Elementary Elegance Clear Mount Set (Sale-A-Bration 2012) for color blocking. I had to try it and I just so happen to have the same set. It worked like a charm! I used some Not Quite Navy Card Stock with some Very Vanilla. Mary’s technique is used on the greeting with Pool Party Ink for the color blocking. It is then punched out with the Curly Label Punch. The background is embossed using the Flower Garden Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. I used the Language of Friendship Set for the blossoms and punched them out with the Boho Blossoms Punch. The cute little border across the bottom uses the Scallop Edge Border Punch and another stamp from Elementary Elegance. My trusty Stamp-A-Ma-Jig helped me line up the butterflies perfectly. Check out Mary’s video to see how quick and easy this technique is. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

  • Gnome Valentine

Good morning everyone! I hope that everyone is having a nice New Year so far. Mine has been good, no complaints. For today’s card I used the new Gnome Sweet Gnome Stamp Set from the Occasions Mini Catalog which you can now order from. I didn’t think I was going to like it at first but it really is cute when it’s all colored in. I stamped the Gnomes in Black Staz-On Ink on Very Vanilla Card Stock. I used the Stampin’ Write Markers in Marina Mist, Pool Party, Soft Suede, Sahara Sand, Cherry Cobbler, Daffodil Delight and Pretty In Pink to color them in. It’s a lot of colors but I wanted it to have a colorful playful look. I used the Petals-A-Plenty Textured Impressions Embossing Folder for the background in Certainly Celery, it gives it a nice garden feel! The greeting is from the Delightful Dozen Set, a great set for anyone to have in their arsenal. I used the Heart To Heart Punch for the three hearts and they are punched out in Cherry Cobbler. I’m looking forward to making lots more Valentine’s cards and the Occasions Mini has tons of great sets. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

  • Abby’s First Birthday

I love making invitations. When my friends Adam and Erin asked me if I would make the invitations for their little girl Abbygail’s first birthday I was thrilled to. They picked out the colors and told me it was a Bubble Guppies theme. The Card Stock colors I used are Pretty In Pink, Pacific Point and Whisper White. I used My Digital Studio to create the printed part of the invite and printed it in Pacific Point on HP Everyday Photo Paper. I have tried printing things out on Whisper White Card Stock and it comes out a little lighter than it should but the HP Paper seems to work a little better. The goldfish are from the Something Sweet Set and they are stamped in Pumpkin Pie. The “bubbles” are actually the sprinkles from the Create A Cupcake set, but they look pretty good as bubbles. The Perfect Polkadots Textured Impressions Embossing Folder give it a nice simple background. I mounted all of the framed pieces with Stampin’ Dimensionals for a little extra pop. I hope you like them as much as they did and thanks for stopping by!

  • Mojo 222

Good morning! For this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge I decided to use some more of the Designer Series Paper from the Sale-A-Bration Catalog (available January 24, 2012). I really like this paper, it coordinates with some great colors and has a little bit of a vintage feel to it. The Card Stock is Very Vanilla and Soft Suede. I cut out a circle with the 1 3/4″ Circle Punch and ran it through the Flower Garden Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. It was then sponged with Crumb Cake Ink. The greeting is from the Word Play Clear Mount Set and is stamped in Pool Party, I sponged the edges of it also with Crumb Cake. Some gold 3/16″ Metallic Brads complete the card and give it some shine. I hope that enjoyed today’s card and as always thanks for stopping by!
