Paper Players 342

Yes, it was another sunny but windy day here. I kept myself busy at the Store, got a card made and did a few other things. Some dinner with my Parent’s when I got home and then a few errands. My friend has been telling me that I need to watch Blindspot so I finally caved last night. I’m glad that I did! It’s a very good show! I don’t even want to admit to how many episodes I binge watched! LOL! Let’s just say that I’m well into season one! 😀

The card that I have to share with you today is for this week’s Paper Players challenge…

It’s a very simple card that uses a set that I have had for ages and never used! I’m sure that has never happened to you! LOL! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the front covered in a piece of Ballerina Pink. I heat embossed the pretty filagree from the Mama Elephant Filagree Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder onto a piece of Kraft and adhered that to the card. My greeting is from the same set and is also heat embossed in gold. I used the Hero Arts Infinity Circles Dies to cut it out and adhered it to the card with a 3D Foam Square. To finish the card I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins. I’m sort of confused as to why it took me so long to use the set, I love the the stamp! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Players Challenge! Thanks for stopping by! Have an interesting Thursday! 🙂

Paper Craft Crew 242

Wednesday already! It was a quiet day at the Store. Renee did have a few people in to do some make up projects. I made a few cards and spoke to Sue. After work I came home, my Parent’s were out at my Brother’s watching the kids. Jim came by and we went for a nice long walk on the bike train again. On the way back we stopped and got Zorn’s for dinner. We worked on the crafty project, we are almost finished, and watched a little TV. Today Renee is off taking care of last minute baby shower things so I’ll be alone. I’m going to try and focus on getting things done! 😀

Since it is Wednesday that means that it’s time for this week’s Paper Craft Crew challenge…

I did a card with a nice ink blended background! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used my Mini Ink Blending Tool to apply some Pale Tomato, Dark Quartz and Soft Vanilla Ink to a piece of Solar White 80lb and set is aside for a little while to dry. Of course after about 10 minutes I got impatient and sped up the drying with my Heat Tool. After it was completely dry I used my Powder Tool and then stamped the images from the Hero Arts Dreams are Made Photopolymer Stamp Set In Versa-Mark and heat embossed them in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder. Next I used the Hero Arts Floral Border Fancy Die to cut out a piece of Deep Blue. The greeting is heat embossed in Hero Arts Copper Embossing Powder onto a strip of Vellum that is adhered around the back of the blue die cut. I added some 3M Foam Tape to the back of the blue die cut and adhered it to the card. Just a few Pretty Pink Posh Rose Gold Sequins and the card is done. I do love that Dreams are Made Set, there are some fun images and great greetings in there! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Color Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see what the rest of the Team has done and enter your card in the gallery! Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a wicked Wednesday! 🙂

Mojo Monday 495

I had a quiet Sunday. I had a little work to do for a friend on the computer, cleaned a bit and watched far too much TV. It was sort of overcast most of the day and a little chilly too. I had thought about going into Manhattan but then decided that I didn’t feel like taking the train or driving in so that took care of that. I guess it was a relaxing day, although I did find it a bit boring. Today back to the Store and I will fill the day with some craftiness, that always makes the day better! 😀

It’s Monday people and time for a new Mojo Monday sketch…

This card came out of nowhere! My base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and the background is a piece of Kraft. I used the Hero Arts Skylines Fancy Dies to cut out a piece of Gold Glitter Card Stock for the buildings and some Gold Mirror Card for the Bridge. The buildings are adhered to the card with a strip of Battleship Gray underneath. I adhered the bridge to a piece of Chinese Red, trimmed of the excess and adhered the square to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. Next I die cut the happy from the Hero Arts Happy Stamp & Cut Photopolymer Stamp Set from a piece of Solar White 110lb, heat embossed the birthday in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto a strip of Black and adhered the happy to the top and then the black to the card. Just a few Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins and the card is done! I will admit that I wasn’t really sure as I was putting the card together but I really do like the finished product, especially the colors! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge! There are more cards to see over on the BLOG so stop by and take a look and let’s see your take on the sketch too! Thank you for starting your week off with me! Have a marvelous Monday! 🙂

Freshly Made Sketches 285

Happy weekend! I had a nice day in Manhattan yesterday! I spend some time with my friend Mary in he morning and then went to meet Kim for lunch. She’s working in our old building at 345 Park Avenue. We stopped at Chop’t and got lunch and went to eat in this little park with a waterfall…

It was a beautiful day as you can see from the picture! I got back out on the Island around 3:00 and came home for a bit. Jim came over around 7:00 and we went for a nice long walk on the Bethpage Bike Trail before heading to the diner for dinner. A little TV when we got back to my house before saying good night. Today I’ll be at the Store and there is a Crop, fun! 😀

My card that I have to share with you today is for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge…

I went with a nice simple card. The background is a piece of Kraft that I stamped with the Concord & 9th Tree Ring Background Photopolymer Stamp in Hero Arts Unicorn White Pigment Ink. I added some Hero Arts White Satin Pearl Embossing Powder and heat set it. The background is then adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My butterfly is cut from Black with the Concord & 9th Floral & Flutter Dies. The greeting is cut from more Black three times using the Concord & 9th Beautiful You Dies. They are adhered to each other and to the card with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. A little scattering of Pewter Pretty Pink Posh Sequins and the card is done! I love that butterfly and the subtle Tree Ring on the Kraft! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches Challenge! Thanks for stopping by today! Have a super Saturday! 🙂

Floral Happy On!

Another rainy overcast day but that didn’t matter because of the crop inside the Store! I had fun as I always do! Got to spend some time with my friend Evelyn, we chatted about her upcoming trip to London and Europe. After work I came home and had some dinner. Then I decided that it was time to do some cleaning so I tackled the closet in the dining room and threw out a nice big black garbage bag of crap! Feels good to purge! Today I’m off and I don’t have a lot planned so we’ll see where the day takes me! 😀

I have yet another stamped background card to share with you today! I used the Concord & 9th Fill-In Phrases Photopolymer Stamp Set to stamp my background in Moonstone and Minty Fresh Ink onto a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My sentiment is heat embossed in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder onto a piece of 48lb Vellum. To adhered it to the card I used Kool-Tak Clear Foam Tape and hid teeny tiny pieces behind the embossing. Just a few Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins and the card is finished! As you can see I’m really enjoying the stamped backgrounds! I hope that you like today’s card! Thanks for stopping by and have a simple Sunday! 🙂

Freshly Made Sketches 284

Happy Friday peeps! Thankfully it only rained in the morning and the sun came out for the rest of the afternoon! The first day of Card Class went well and I’m looking forward to day two! I was on my own for dinner again last night, the Parent’s were watching Daniel and Tristan. I can see where I fall on the importance list! LOL! My evening was spent watching TV again to distract my little brain! Good times! 😀

Today’s card is for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge…

I haven’t watercolored in a while and I have these new to me Pearl Watercolors from FineTec, I needed to give them a try! The flowers are from the Altenew Botanical Garden Photopolymer Stamp Set, I heat embossed them in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder onto some Arches 140lb Watercolor Card. They are then colored in with the FineTec Pearl Watercolors and my Aquawash Brush. I used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out. Next I used the Altenew Happy Die to cut out a piece of Kraft and two pieces of thin chipboard (left over packaging!), some Multi-Matte Medium adheres them to each other. While I waited for them to dry I created my card base with a piece of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I covered the front with another piece of Kraft and adhered a piece of Gold Glitter Card Stock down the center. The happy is then smooshed into my Versa-Mark Pad and heat embossed with Hero Arts Clear Fine Detail Embossing Powder, I did it twice to give it a really nice shine. To finish the card I adhered the flowers and happy to the card with 3M Foam Tape and added a few Pretty Pink Posh Rose Gold Sequins. I really like the FineTec Pearl Watercolors, they have a nice sparkle to them, it looks so much better in person! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches Challenge! Thank you for spending a little of your Friday with me! Enjoy the rest of the day! 🙂

SIP Challenge 95 – A Sketch!

Another Monday behind us! It was overcast but warm here yesterday, I’ll take that! The Store was busy, it was Home Decor day and everyone came in to paint their wood pieces. I worked on some cards for upcoming classes and got some more of my tax stuff together which is also what I did last night! Nothing like waiting until the last minute! I had dinner when I got home and was going to do a little cleaning but the taxes had to come first. I also had to run over to my friend Sue’s house for a bit to pick up some things and stopped at Target on the way back to get Winston some food. I like Tuesday’s because this evening I get to work on the crafty project with my friend! 😀

Today it’s time for a new challenge from Stamp, Ink, Paper

I started my card by using the Concord & 9th Floral Fill-In Patterned Paper and the Coordinating Stencils to add Merman Ink to the paper with a Mini Ink Blending Tool. I then used the second stencil to add Versa-Mark and heat embossed it with Hero Arts White Embossing Powder. The panel is then adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. I stamped the flower from the Concord & 9th Fill-In Phrases Photopolymer Stamp Set in Merman heat embossed the second layer in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder to match the paper. It’s cut out with my Scissors and adhered to the card with 3D Foam Squares. The greeting is from the Concord & 9th Happy Day Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black onto a strip of Solar White 80lb. Some more 3D Foam Squares adhered it to the card right under the stamped flower and the card is done! I do love that Fill-In Paper, such a very clever idea!! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Sketch Challenge! Mojo Monday 492

I know I say it all the time but the weekend goes too fast! It was a gorgeous day here. I had a nice time in Manhattan in the morning and ran to get the train, literally! Boy am I out of shape! LOL! Jim picked me up at the station and we came back to my house, saw my Parents for a bit and then jumped in my car, put the top down and went for a nice long ride along the north shore. It’s so pretty up there and the houses are so nice. We stopped at IKEA on the way back and had some Swedish meatballs for dinner and did a little shopping. When we got back to my house I helped him with some iPhone stuff. The rest of the evening was spent catching up with some other friends! So nice to speak to my peeps! 😀

Ahh.. Monday, it’s not such a bad day when you have a new Mojo Monday sketch to start your day…

My card starts off with the usual base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The background is a piece of Kraft that I stamped with the Concord & 9th Barnwood Background Photopolymer Stamp and some Doe Ink. Next up is a piece of of Chinese Red with the hearts from the Concord & 9th Love Always Photopolymer Stamp Set heat embossed in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder. I adhered that to the background and then a piece of American Crafts Gold Glitter Tape across it. My greeting is from the Concord & 9th By Your Side Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Cranberry onto a piece of Solar White 80lb. I adhered that to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. Just a few Pretty Pink Posh Gold, Raspberry and Sparkling Clear Sequins finish it off! You know that Barnwood Background Stamp is my fave and I love the falling hearts too! Lucky Because…

Hello and welcome to post number two for today! Once a month I get to do a solo post for the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Blog and share a fun project with you using some goodies from one of my favorite companies! You can also see this post over on the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Blog. While you’re there check out all of the other fabulous cards that the rest of the Team has created as we get ready for our next challenge coming up on April 9th!

I love the big new word dies that they came out with and isn’t it nice to remember that no matter what we have going on in our lives, I’m sure that we all can find something that makes us feel lucky! And how nice to let someone else know that we are lucky to have them!

To start my card I die cut the large lucky from the Concord & 9th Lucky Dies from a piece of Solar White 80lb paper and used some Washi Tape to hold it to a piece of Black Card Stock. I put the outline of the die back inside the negative and then sponged on some Hero Arts Unicorn White Pigment Ink. After that dried I added some Mama Elephant Lemongrass Pigment Ink over the White and used my Heat Tool to speed up the drying. Here is what it looked like while I was working on it…

Next I used the Concord & 9th Lucky Photopolymer Stamp Set to stamp the I’m Super and Because… in Versa-Mark. I added some Hero Arts White Embossing Powder and heat set it. My black panel is then adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I then die cut the thin lucky from two pieces of Lemon Lime along with some of the stars. The two luckies are adhered to each other with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive and then over the sponged lucky with Multi-Matte Medium. The stars are added randomly and the card is done! I love the look of the sponged lucky with the die cut in the middle , it looks a little like neon!

I hope that you enjoyed my card for today’s Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Design Team and that you are inspired to make a card and send it off to someone that needs a little reminder of how lucky you are to have them in your life!! I know exactly who I’m giving this one to! Don’t forget that you can follow us on Instagram and Facebook! We are getting ready to start our next challenge on April 9th, be sure to come back to see what the rest of my talented teammates have to inspire you for that one!

Thank you for stopping by! Enjoy the rest of your day! 🙂

Paper Craft Crew 238

Another rainy day. It was so foggy too in the morning when I headed over to the Store, again, because of our close proximity to the water I guess. Renee and I had a quiet project filled day. I had to get two cards made and work on some other things. I left the Store around 4:00 to come home and meet Jim. We worked on more of the crafty project and had some Chinese for dinner. Always a nice way to end the day with a good friend! Today, I have to get ready for tomorrow’s Wedding card and gift box class. That should be fun! 😀

Without further ado here is this week’s Sketch for the Paper Craft Crew challenge…

I started my card by cutting a piece of the Echo Park Summer Party Blazing Floral 12×12 Paper and adhering it to a piece of Fun Foam and tying a piece of May Arts Natural Twine around the top. Then I used E-Z Runner Ultra Strong to adhered it to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. Next I heat embossed the hello from the Concord & 9th Say Hello Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto a piece of Tropical Sea and adhered it to the patterned paper. My Birthday is heat embossed with more White onto a piece of 48lb Vellum. I flagged the bottom, adhered a strip of Candied Yam to the top and then used a little more Fun Foam and E-Z Runner to adhered it under the twine. A nice simple Birthday card! I love that hello stamp, it has a little bit of a stitched look to it! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! I’ll be back at 11:00AM with a second post for you today! Be sure and come back! In the mean time enjoy your Wednesday morning! 🙂
