    Paper Craft Crew 308

Hello there! Two days in a row! LOL! Woo hoo! It was a gloomy rainy day here, had to take Daniel to the bus stop in the car. Tristan and I had a nice day playing in the house. We both took a little nap on the couch! Last night I went into the Stampin’ Galley to make today’s card and had a little accident, I cut my middle finger with the tip of a pair of scissors and it bled like crazy all over the card! After I got it to stop bleeding and the fainting feeling passed I went back in and remade the card. I will refrain from sharing a pic of the Merry and Bloody card with you! LOL! 😀

That card is for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge…

I used an impressive amount of goodies for such a simple card! I started by die cutting my tag using the Concord & 9th Holiday Cheer Tags Dies, the banner using the Concord & 9th Holly Jolly Banner Dies and the tree using the Concord & 9th Cozy Christmas Dies all from different shades of Grey 110lb. The tree is from the Concord & 9th Cozy Christmas Photopolymer Stamp Set and the greeting from the Concord & 9th Merry & Bright Photopolymer Stamp Set, top part stamped on the tag and the bottom on the banner, all heat embossed in Simon Says Stamp Antique Gold Embossing Powder. I also stamped the pine leaves from the Concord & 9th Merry & Bright Photopolymer Stamp Set in Smoke onto the tag. My snowflake is from the Concord & 9th Snow Flurry Dies and is cut from a piece of Silver Glitter Paper from the Concord & 9th Neutrals Glitter Paper Pack. The snowflake and banner are adhered to the card with Glue Tube and the tag and tree with 3M Foam Tape. A little sprinkle of Pretty Pink Posh Pewter, Gold and Silver Sequins complete the card! I do love all of the different shades of grey with the gold embossing! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! I’m sure that I’ll remember making this one for a while! LOL! Stop by the BLOG to see the rest of the Team’s cards and share your with us in the gallery! Thanks for visiting with me today! Enjoy the rest of your Wednesday! 🙂

  • SIP Challenge 168 – Tic-Tac-Toe

    SIP Challenge 168 – Tic-Tac-Toe

Hi there! Did you all have a nice weekend?! I did! Saturday night I had dinner with Jim and Sunday I went into Manhattan to see my friends Jon and Mary and then met up with Kim. We had a quick lunch and then she took me to see the final performance of the play Carousel on Broadway for my Birthday! It was a beautiful day too so we wandered around a bit. I ended up walking seven miles! A good weekend indeed! 😀

It’s Tuesday and time for a new challenge over on the Stamp, Ink, Paper blog…

I went diagonally from the bottom left to the top right! I started my card by stamping the background using the Concord & 9th Happy Plaids Photopolymer Stamp Set in Merman and Freshly Cut Grass using my MISTI onto Solar White 80lb. Next I die cut the tag and pocket from Kraft and Vellum. Onto both I heat embossed my greeting from the Concord & with Holiday Cheer Tags Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder. A piece of Fun Foam is adhered to the back of the Vellum pocket. I added Gold Thread and some pine that I die cut from Noble Fir using a die from the Concord & 9th Happy Holidays Label Dies. For my card base I added a piece of Kraft to Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The background is adhered and then the tag. A simple and fun card using my favorite colors for the Holidays! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! You can stop by the BLOG for more inspiration and we hope to see your card in the gallery! Thank you for visiting with me today, enjoy the rest of your Tuesday! 🙂

  • Thankful Leaf – Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th!

Thankful Leaf – Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th!

Happy September! Hopefully the warm weather stays around for a while longer even though technically the Summer is over. I had a great week up at the lake last week, a nice way to end the Summer for sure. I started watching my Niece and Nephew again, Daniel goes to full day kindergarten so it’s just me and Tristan for most of the day. I’m not looking forward to the cooler weather at all! How bout you?! 😀

It’s time for my August Solo Post over on the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Challenge Blog! The Thankful Leaves Dies are definitely my favorite from last month’s release! I love that leaf die so I used it again on today’s card. I was watching one of Jennifer McGuire’s videos and decided that I wanted to try one of her shadowbox cards! I did all of the steps to make the box for the card using Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. For the die cut inside I used just the outline of the Leaf Die. For my background I stamped the Thankful Leaves Turnabout Photopolymer Stamp in Freshly Cut Grass and a Sunflower, twice with each color, onto Solar White 80lb. The panel is trimmed to fit inside the card. On the front of the card I used the Leaf Die again with the inside piece to cut out some Lime Glitter Paper from the Summer Glitter Paper Pack. It’s adhered to the card front with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. Along the bottom I stamped the THANKFUL, also from the Thankful Leaves Turnabout in Freshly Cut Grass. To go inside my die cut leaf on the inside of the card I used a piece of Heat Resistant Acetate and heat embossed another greeting in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder. It’s adhered to the back of the die cut panel with Scor-Tape. All that was left to do was assemble the card. I’ll definitely be making more shadowbox cards, love the way they look!

I hope that you like the card for my September Solo Post for the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Blog! Don’t forget that you can follow us on Instagram and Facebook! We are getting ready to start our next challenge on September 9th, be sure to come back to see what the rest of my talented teammates have to inspire you! Thanks for stopping by! Enjoy the rest of your Wednesday!!

  • Feature Friday for Concord & 9th – Thankful Leaves!

Feature Friday for Concord & 9th – Thankful Leaves!

Happy Friday! I have been watching Brian and Kim’s girls Izzy and Savannah all week. They went on a well deserved and much needed cruise to the Bahamas with two of their friends. The girls have been so good and we have had a lot of fun! I’m sure that will be happy to see Mom and Dad when they get home on Sunday! 😀

It’s time for another Feature Friday post for Concord & 9th! This week we are featuring the Thankful Leaves Stamps and Dies! I also used a sentiment from the Shiplap Sentiments Stamp Set!

I really do love that leaf die and today I used it to make a shaker card! I began by cutting out the solid leaf from a piece of Grey 110lb Card Stock. On the bottom I heat embossed the Hello from The Shiplap Sentiments Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder. I then used the Leaf Die with the insert to cut out a piece of Copper Glitter Paper from the Summer Glitter Paper Pack. On the back of the Grey panel I adhered a piece of Acetate and then used Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive to adhere to the copper glitter leaf to the Acetate. Some 3M Foam Tape is added to the back of the panel. I used a darker piece of Grey 110lb Card Stock for the card base and added Pretty Pink Posh Rose Gold, Pewter and Marshmallow Sequins before adhering the front. I love all of the sparkle and that Glitter Paper from Concord & 9th is awesome!

I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Feature Friday post for Concord & 9th! Thank you for spending a little time with me today! Have a fantastic Weekend! ?

    Wedding Congrats – Concord & 9th!

Happy Monday! How was the weekend?! Mine was good. I drove upstate to see my friends Ella and Tom on Saturday. The rain was terrible on the way up there but the sun did peek out later in the afternoon. Yesterday I got some things done around the house and then went over to see Brian and Kim for a bit. Today I have some cleaning and laundry to do, fun right?! LOL! I’m going to try and get into the Stampin’ Galley too, let’s see if that happens! 😀

I forgot to share my card with you last week featuring the NEW Concord & 9th Top it Off Stamps! So that’s what I have for you today! I started by heat embossing some of the images from the set in Hero Arts White and Copper Embossing Powder onto a piece of Grey 110lb Card Stock. I used my Mini MISTI to make sure that everything was lined up! Once all of my heat embossing was done I adhered the panel to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. For a little sparkle I added Pretty Pink Posh Rose Gold Sequins and the card is done! The card was pretty simple to make and I think would work great for a wedding! I hope that you enjoyed my card for today! Thank you for visiting with me and have a marvelous Monday! 🙂

  • Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th – Anything Goes!

Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th – Anything Goes!

    Hello!

It’s release day over at Concord & 9th! It’s also their third Birthday! We will be celebrating with them all month long with Feature Friday posts! Each Friday we will be sharing ideas for one of this month’s new products! It’s also time for a new challenge over on the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th blog…

You all know that Concord & 9th is one of my favorite companies and I do love to get goodies early! LOL! I used the NEW Thankful Leaves Dies to make a masculine Birthday card! To start I choose a piece of glitter paper from the Concord & 9th Neutrals Glitter Pack and a piece of Copper Foil Sheet. For the glitter paper I used the Thankful Leaves Die and poked out all of the pieces. When I cut out the one from the Copper Foil Sheet the pieces stayed and I liked the look! I used the Die again without the middle piece to cut out a piece of Desert Storm 80lb to back the Copper leaf and adhered it with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. For the card I used the Barnwood Background Photopolymer Stamp and some Hero Arts Soft Brown Ink and stamped it onto another piece of Desert Storm 80lb. That is adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. For my greeting I heat embossed the Let’s Celebrate from the Triple Step Hooray Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts Copper Embossing Powder onto more Desert Storm 80lb and trimmed it out with my scissors. The leaves are then adhered to the card with more Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive and the greeting with 3m Foam Tape. A simple fun Birthday card with a masculine twist!

I hope that you like my Design Team card for this month’s Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Anything Goes Challenge! We hope that you will take some time to share your creation with us! Head over to the BLOG for more inspiration! Don’t forget that you can follow us on Instagram and Facebook! Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope that you enjoy the rest of your Thursday! It’s time for my August Solo Post over on the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Challenge Blog! I love the new Dip Dyed Cards and Envelopes that Concord released last month so I used one to make my card for today! I started by heat embossing the thank you from the Triple-Step Thank You Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto a piece of Iridescent Vellum using my Mini MISTI and then cut it out with the Coordinating Dies. The peach is from the same set and is stamped in Carrot and Cranberry for the peach and Noble Fir for the leaf. The Coordinating Dies cut that out too. I stamped the you’re a peach in Peacock and then used 3M Foam Tape to adhered the thank you and the peach to the card base. Don’t those Dip Dyed cards make cool backgrounds?!

  • SIP Challenge 158 – Christmas in July!

SIP Challenge 158 – Christmas in July!

Hello peeps! Just popping in with a quick post for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge. The actual Stamp, Ink, Paper site is having major issues this morning so the post won’t be up for a little while. But the Design Team has all of their posts up and I’ll link to them below! Now for this week’s challenge badge…

I used some old and new sets from Concord & 9th for my card. To start I heat embossed the lightbulb from the Concord & 9th Shine On Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts Silver Embossing Powder onto a piece of Gold Metallic 27lb Vellum. The top of the bulb is also heat embossed in Silver onto a piece of Ionized Curious Metallic. I used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out. Onto a piece of Solar White 80lb I heat embossed my greeting from the Concord & 9th Ornamental Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder using my Mini MISTI so that I could do it twice to make it a little brighter. The background with the greeting is then adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 100lb Card Stock. I added the bulb with 3M Foam Tape and then a few Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins complete the card. I do love the simplicity and metallic elements on the card! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! Once the BLOG is up I hope that you will check out the rest of the Team’s cards and share yours with us in the gallery! Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your Tuesday! 🙂

  • Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th – Mixed Media!

Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th – Mixed Media!

Happy Monday! I trust that you all had a nice weekend! I did! Yesterday I went out East with a friend, we had lunch by a stream and then stopped in Port Jefferson on the way back. It was the perfect day for a road trip in the convertible! I also picked up a Rhubarb Pie, my Great Grandmother used to grow Rhubarb and makes pies when I was little! The pie wasn’t as good as hers but it definitely brought back memories! 😀

It’s release day over at Concord & 9th so that means that it’s time for a new challenge over on the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th blog…

I got use one of the NEW Stamp and Die Sets from this month’s release to make my card! I also dug out some Glitter Paste and used a lot of pink and a little ribbon, now there are a few things I don’t often use! My background is a piece of Iridescent Pink 65lb Card. I used my Palette Knife to add Bo Bunny Sugar Glitter Paste through the Concord & 9th Retro Petals Turnabout Stencil and set it aside to dry. From the Concord & 9th Laurel Frame Photopolymer Stamp Set I stamped the wreath in Jalapeño and Noble Fir and the flowers in Ballet Slippers, Peachy Keen and Bubblegum using my Mini MISTI. They are cut out with the Coordinating Dies. Once the background was dry I added a piece of Stampin’ Up! 1 1/4″ Pink Pirouette Ribbon and adhered it around the back. The background is then added to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. To adhere the wreath and flowers I used 3M Foam Tape. Finally, I cut out the hello, also from the Laurel Frames Dies, from more 110lb and used Multi-Matte Medium to add it to the ribbon. The pictures don’t do the Sugar Paste justice, it’s subtle but nice and sparkly!

I hope that you like my Design Team card for this month’s Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Mixed Media Challenge! We hope that you will take some time to share your creation with us! Head over to the BLOG for more inspiration! Don’t forget that you can follow us on Instagram and Facebook! Thanks for starting your week off here with me! Have a marvelous Monday! 🙂

City Welcome – Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th!

Hello peeps! I hope that you all had a safe and happy 4th of July! I went out to my friend Carol’s and got to see a bunch of friends that I haven’t seen in a while which is always a good time!

It’s time for my July Solo Post over on the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Challenge Blog! You know that I love a little cityscape and the new City Stacks Stamps and Dies are perfect for making a little scene!

I started by heat embossing the buildings from the Concord & 9th City Stacks Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts Silver Embossing Powder onto some different shades of Grey 110lb Card Stock. I used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out. For my card base I blended Hero Arts Soft Pool Ink onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock to create a subtle sky. I wanted to make the card easy to mail so I added the different building to the card front with E-Z Runner. The welcome is cut from Silver Glitter Card and adhered to the bottom with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. Pretty simple but I do love the different “streets” of buildings!

I hope that you like the card for my July Solo Post for the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Blog! Don’t forget that you can follow us on Instagram and Facebook! We are getting ready to start our next challenge on July 9th, be sure to come back to see what the rest of my talented teammates have to inspire you! Thanks for stopping by!
