SIP Challenge 121 – Tic-Tac-Toe

A crisp good morning to you! We got a taste of Fall last night with temps in 40’s! I’ll take Summer back now thanks! I had a pretty productive morning yesterday which is always a good way to start the day! In the afternoon I got a text from Heather that one of her cats got out so me, Kim, Stephanie and George spent a few hours combing the neighborhood. They eventually found the cat and are going to get a GPS collar for her, she gets out a lot! I went back over to Heather’s later and we ran a few errands. My evening was finished off with a little TV. This morning I have a bunch of things to get to and some cleaning to do around the house. 😀

It’s Tuesday and that means it time for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper challenge…

I went diagonal from top left to bottom right on the Tic-Tac-Toe board. My card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card stock has the front covered in a piece of paper from the My Mind’s Eye Essentials – Wood 6×6 Paper Pad. I heat embossed a flower and two leaves from the Essentials by Ellen Bold Blooms Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts White and Copper Embossing Powder onto some 65lb Vellum. The Coordinating Dies are used to cut them out. My greeting is from the same set and is heat embossed in White Embossing Powder onto the woodgrain paper. The leaves are adhered with E-Z Runner and the flower with Kool-Tak Clear Foam Tape. A sprinkling of Pretty Pink Posh Copper Sequins completes the card. I love the nice pop of white against the dark woodgrain! The card would work well for a wedding, don’t you think?! Paper Players 366

A good Monday to you my friends! I had a very nice weekend! I was over Jim’s on Saturday working on some more projects that I’m happy to say we got them finished! Saturday night we went over and had dinner with Kim. So nice to get to see her, it’s been way too long. Yesterday I had a lazy day, it was rainy so I watched some more of the Arrow on Netflix. This morning I’m going to get stuff done! Have to make up for yesterday! How was your weekend?! 😀

I’m starting the week off with my card for the Paper Players challenge…

I used the Hero Arts Halloween Trimmings Stamp & Cut Photopolymer Stamp Set and heat embossed the greeting in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder and the bats in Hero Arts Black Sparkle Embossing Powder onto a piece of Pluto Stardream Curious Metallic Card Stock. That is then adhered to a piece of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. They wanted clean and simple, I think that fits the bill! Love the nice sparkly bats on the shiny dark card stock! Fab Friday 123

Happy Friday! I had a quiet day yesterday, got some thing done and ran a few errands. This morning I’m off to Manhattan to see my friend Isabella. We always have a nice visit! I’m going to make dinner tonight for Jim and I, I haven’t cooked in a long time so wish me luck! LOL! 😀

My card that I have to share with you today is for the Fab Friday challenge…

I used some new goodies from Concord & 9th! My background is the Concord & 9th Christmas Cheer Turnabout Photopolymer Stamp. I stamped the images in Black Licorice using my MISTI and then used the fill in’s and Moonstone, Lobster, Doe, Sunflower, Noble Fir, Carrot, Sugarplum and Jalapeño Ink. It’s trimmed and adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The greeting is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto piece of Black 110lb that I cut out with the Concord & 9th Ribbon Banner Die. It’s adhered to the card with 3D Foam Squares. A strip of Black 110lb and Chili Pepper are adhered to the lower right to stay true to the sketch and the card is done! I love the Turnabout Stamps and it was so much fun using the fill in images to just stamp! I hope that you like my Design Team card for the Fab Friday Sketch Challenge! Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th – Shades of Concord & 9th!

Happy Columbus Day! I hope that you are lucky enough to have the day off from work today! I’m happy to report that my Dad is home from the hospital, he came home yesterday. He is feeling much better thanks in part to all of your well wishes. I really can’t thank you all enough for keeping him in your thoughts. you guys are the best peeps ever! I even got to do some fun stuff yesterday! In the morning I took a ride into Manhattan with Heather to drop her brother off at Comic-Con. After that I went with her to look at some used cars, she is trying to find one for her brother. Boy is there a lot of garbage out there! LOL! After that I spent some time with my Dad and then watched a little TV and made my card for today. Felt so good to sit down in the Stampin’ Galley! Today I have some cleaning and other chores to do. What are you up to?

It’s time for a new challenge over on the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th blog…

Shades of Concord & 9th means use any shade of blue or green! For my card is used the Aloha Friend Photopolymer Stamp Set and my MISITI to stamp the dashed strip onto a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with Peacock and Jalapeño to create a background. The fabulous is from the same set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto a piece of 65lb Vellum. I used Multi-Matte Medium to adhere it to the card and added a scattering of Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins to complete the card! Simple and fun, and who doesn’t like to be told that they are fabulous?! Grateful Amethyst Leaf – Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th!

Happy Thursday peeps! I had a nice day yesterday with Sue. We got a lot accomplished and went out and had a nice lunch. There is always more to do so I’ll be heading back over again some time next week, I do love a productive day! Taylor stopped by in the evening and we had dinner with my Parents and after that some TV, binge watching Arrow at the moment and really liking it! Today I’ll catch up on This is Us and maybe I’ll get to some of the cabinet doors! 😀

It’s time for my Solo Post over on the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Blog! We featured and Ink Only Challenge for last month so I did a little ink blending on today’s card! One of my all time favorite images is the leaf from the Concord & 9th Lace Leaf Photopolymer Stamp Set. I heat embossed it in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder onto a piece of Bristol Smooth Card Stock. I used the Coordinating Die to cut out the negative from a piece of Masking Paper and used my Mini Ink Blending Tools and some Wilted Violet, Blueprint Sketch and Dusty Concord Distress Ink to color it in. After I removed the Mask I added the panel to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. Some Heidi Swapp Gold Color Shine is spattered over the card and while that dried I cut out the grateful from a piece of Gold Glitter Card and adhered it to the card with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. I love the purple and blue hues in the gold leaf and never underestimate the effect of a little ink spatter!

Paper Craft Crew 262

Hey there! I had a very quiet day yesterday. Not my favorite kind of day but I guess they are necessary every once in a while. Other than some TV and a little work on the computer not much else happened. This morning I’m off to see Sue again for some Etsy work, that is always productive and fun! 😀

It’s mid-week and time for another Paper Craft Crew challenge…

I choose the row across the middle for my card and decided to use some of the leftovers on my desk to make it! I always stamp some extra when I make something in the hopes that I will use it and today I got to! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock cut to 3 3/4″ wide. My background is a piece of Desert Storm 80lb that I heat embossed the Hero Arts Designer Woodgrain Background onto with Hero Arts Clear Embossing Powder. The pumpkin is from the Hero Arts September My Monthly Hero Kit and is stamped in Orange Soda, Tangerine, Pumpkin Pie, Cup O Joe, Green Fields and Forever Green. I used the Coordinating Dies to cut it out and adhered it to a tag that is cut out with the Hero Arts Nested Tags Infinity Dies from another piece of Desert Storm 80lb. There is a little strip of Washi Tape across the bottom of the tag a piece of Natural Twine is tied through the top. My greeting is stamped in Pumpkin Pie with a few My Mind’s Eye Wicked Enamel Dots added. I adhered the tag to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner and added a little Multi-Matte Medium to hold the twine in place. Love the bright pop of the orange pumpkin against the kraft! Freshly Made Sketches 306

Happy Friday! It’s a very happy one for me, I’m off to PA through Monday with Jim! We are going to do some repairs on the house and just relax and enjoy the fresh country air! The weather is supposed to be great, let’s hope that it stays that way! Yesterday I ran a few errands in the morning and then went to BJ’s with Heather. We had some pizza for lunch and then I came back home to see Daniel and Tristan. Jason and Erika came over and we all went out to dinner to celebrate my Parent’s 49th anniversary. I’ll be heading into Manhattan this morning to see my friends Jon and Mary. I’ll meet up with Kim for lunch and then head home. Since I will be away I won’t have any posts over the weekend or on Monday but I’ll be back on Tuesday morning with my Stamp, Ink, Paper Design Team card! 😀

Today I have my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge to share with you…

I started my card by trimming a piece of paper from the Concord & 9th Aloha Fill-In Patterned Paper Pack and adhering it to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My pineapple is from the Concord & 9th Pineapple Perfection Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Black Licorice. I filled in the flowers and leaves with Lobster, Bubblegum, Grape Soda, Sunflower and Noble Fir and then used the Coordinating Die to cut it out. It’s adhered to the card with 3M Foam Tape. The greeting is from the same set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto a piece of Black 110lb and cut out with the banner die from the same set. I used more 3M Foam Tape to adhered it to the pineapple. That’s it! I do love that fun nice big pineapple, especially with the fill-in images! Paper Craft Crew 260

What started out as a what am I going to do day yesterday got quite busy! I ended up driving into Manhattan with Heather yesterday to drop off a computer that I had worked on for my friend Isabella. We made it in in about an hour and a half even though it’s UN Week. It did take us 45 minutes to go the last two miles! We had a nice visit with Isabella, no where near long enough and we made it back home in about and hour. Before I dropped Heather off we had some Subway for lunch and then I came back home. The rest of the day was spent dealing with phone upgrades with AT&T which I can assure you is never fun! I’ll be getting some cleaning done today, good stuff! 😀

It’s Paper Craft Crew time and this week we have a sketch for you…

Another simple one! I started by stamping the leaf from the Concord & 9th Lace Leaf Photopolymer Stamp Set in Just Rust onto a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. Next I heat embossed one of the greetings from the set in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder onto a piece of 65lb Vellum and flagged the left side. To hold it to the card I adhered a strip of Desert Storm down the right side and tucked the vellum under it. A little strip of Gold Glitter Card is adhered near the top right of the greeting and some Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins to finish the card! I think that leaf is definitely my all time favorite and the greeting is a really nice one too! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Happy Birthday Pumpkin

Happy Sunday peeps! I’m a little late this morning because I was out a little later than planned last night and actually got up this morning and made my card! I went over to Jim’s yesterday and we worked on getting his garage organized. We had a little lunch and then went over to the new Costco by him. He got a new TV for his bedroom so we installed that and then ran over to IKEA and Target. A lot was accomplished and that is always a good thing! 😀

That card that I made this morning uses some of the add-ons from the September My Monthly Hero Kit. I started by die cutting the pumpkin from Gold Glitter Card and the leaf from Green Glitter Paper using the Hero Arts Autumn Icons Fancy Dies. I laid the pumpkin onto my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock to get and idea as to where I wanted to do my ink blending. I used Just Rust behind the pumpkin and Pool around it. The pumpkin and leaf are then adhered to the card with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. For the greeting I ink blended some more Just Rust onto card stock and dried it with my Heat Tool. I then stamped the Happy Birthday from the Hero Arts Ribbon Messages Stamp & Cut Photopolymer Stamp Set in Versa-Mark and heat embossed it in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder. It’s cut out with one of the banner dies and adhered to the card with 3M Foam Tape. Just a few Pretty Pink Posh Metallic Green and Pumpkin Sequins finish the card! Pearlescent Pineapple – Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th!

Hello again! I’m back with post number two for today! It’s time for my Solo Post over on the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Blog! You can also see this post over on the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Blog. Be sure and stop by there too!

The card that I created uses the Concord & 9th Pineapple Perfection Photopolymer Stamp Set. I heat embossed it onto a piece of Canson 140lb Watercolor Card with Hero Arts Clear Embossing Powder. To color in the image I used my FineTec Pearl Watercolors and an Aquawash Brush. After it dried I used the Coordinating Dies to cut it out along with the greeting that is heat embossed onto a piece of White Gold Curious Metallic with Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder. The pineapple and greeting are adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with another piece of White Gold Metallic that I embossed with the We R Memory Keepers 3D Woven Embossing Folder. I do love the Pearl Watercolors, so nice and subtle. The pictures doesn’t do them justice, they look so much better in real life!
