Paper Players 356

Monday already huh?! Another weekend zipped by! I did end up going to the beach with Heather in the morning yesterday, we stayed for a few hours and then ran a some errands. She made me a turkey burger for dinner and then her and George had to go to a wake so I headed back to my house. Later on Taylor came by and we watched TV for a bit. This morning I have a bunch of things to get finished on the computer and it’s supposed to rain so it will be the perfect day for it! 😀

I made a quick card late last night and it’s for this week’s Paper Players challenge…

To begin my card I stamped the Concord & 9th Tree Ring Background Photopolymer Stamp onto a piece of Smoky Slate with Doe Ink and used my Scissors to cut it out. For the greeting I heat embossed one from the Concord & 9th By Your Side Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder. The card base is a piece of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with a piece of Desert Storm 80lb adhered to the front. I used Fun Foam and E-Z Runner to adhered the tree ring to the card. The little tree rings are from the Concord & 9th Cozy Up Photopolymer Stamp Set and are stamped randomly in Yeti Ink onto the background. To finished the card I added Pretty Pink Posh Marshmallow Sequins! As you can see from the picture that Tree Ring is a very well loved stamp! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Players Challenge! Thanks for starting your week off with me! Have a marvelous Monday! 🙂

Freshly Made Sketches 299

That was a very quiet Wednesday. I guess they are good to have every so often. Taylor did come by in the evening and we watched a movie. This morning I do have a bunch of things to do and some errands to run. What are you up to today?! 😀

Another thing that I did do yesterday was make my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge…

To start my card I adhered a piece of Desert Storm 80lb to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. On the left is a piece of paper from the Crate Paper Story Teller 6×6 Paper Pad cut into strips to match the sketch. The large you is cut from a piece of Black 110lb using the Simon Says Stamp Big You Die, it’s adhered to the card with Multi-Matte Medium. Onto another piece of Black I heat embossed the hello from the Simon Says Stamp I See You Photopolymer Stamp Set and adhered that to the card with 3D Foam Squares. A simple card with one of my favorite types of pattern paper, a map! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge! Thank you for coming by! Have an amazing Thursday! 🙂

Sweet Blackberry Birthday Wishes

What a nice Saturday I had! It rained for a little while in the morning but stopped by 10:00. I took a ride over to Jim’s to drop off some things and we ended up working on another project. This time we took two old wooden crates that he had in the garage and sanded the paint splatters off of them. We did a wash of a grey paint and then he had the genius idea of going over it with some black shoe polish to darken it up a bit! Here is what they looked like before we started…

And here is the finished product…

We just need to put legs on it and then it will be an end table for his den! I love the way the piece turned out! Who knew that refinishing furniture could be so much fun?! 😀

I was inspired by the color of the wood from yesterday’s project for today’s card! The background is a piece of Smoky Slate that I stamped the Hero Arts Designer Woodgrain Background on in Black. It’s adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My images and greeting are from the Hero Arts Color Layering Ice Cream Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the cone in Soft Brown and Cup O joe and the ice cream in Passion Flower and Grape Juice. They are cut out with the Coordinating Frame Cuts. My greeting is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto a strip of 65lb Vellum and adhered behind the background. I added the cone and ice cream with 3D Foam Squares and a few Pretty Pink Posh Amethyst and Sand Sequins to finish the card! I love the fun gray woodgrain with the neat ice cream cone! I hope that you like today’s card and the end table! Thanks for stopping by to see what I have been up to! Have a simple Sunday! 🙂

Paper Craft Crew 253

What a productive day I had yesterday!! I got so much done in the Craft Room, so much stuff gone though and piles of things ready to go! Feels good but there is so much more to go! Hopefully today will be a repeat! Andrew was over and helped, we went out and had lunch, so good to see him! Later on Taylor came by and so did Heather. She had a nice time in Florida but was glad to be home. Today I think I have my friend Sue, she’s good at getting me motivated! 😀

My card that I have to share with you is for this week’s Paper Craft Crew challenge…

I do so love a stamped background they are so much fun to make! I used the Hero Arts For You Flowers Photopolymer Stamp Set and Soft Pool, Tide Pool, Mint Julep and Lime Green Ink stamped on a piece of Solar White 80lb. It’s adhered to a base of Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My greeting is from the same set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto a strip of Black 110lb. Some 3M Foam Tape adheres it to the card. For a little sparkle I added some Hazel and Ruby The Makery Green With Envy and Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins! I love the colors together but then again I’m sucker for blues and greens! I hope that you like my Design Team card fort this week’s Paper Craft Crew Color Challenge! SIP Challenge 109 – A Sketch!

It was a rainy Monday morning here but it did stop right at 1:00PM just like they said it would! That never happens! LOL! I got all caught up on my comments and went through more of the Stampin’ Galley overabundance in the morning and then went over to see Daniel at my Parent’s house. He is still just the cutest little boy! After dinner we watched PJ Masks together and then I came home and spent a little time with Taylor. Jim stopped by a little later and we watched TV and planned out next DIY project. Can’t wait to get started on that! I’ll be sure an post pictures when we are done! I think that Andrew is going to come by for a while today, will be good to see him! 😀

It’s Tuesday and time for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge

Today’s card starts off with a base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the Concord & 9th Flower Turnabout Photopolymer Stamp with Pool Party Card Stock and Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder to create a panel. It’s backed with a piece of Desert Storm 80lb and adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. My greeting is from the Concord & 9th Wonderful Words Dies and is cut from a piece of American Crafts Gold Glitter Card. To adhere it to the card I used Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. A few Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins fill in some of the space on the embossed panel and the card is done! I think that this would make a nice elegant wedding card, especially with the Tiffany colors! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Sketch Challenge! Go on over to the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thanks for coming by today! Have a terrific Tuesday! 🙂

Paper Players 354

Another weekend whizzed by as they always do. I spent a little more time organizing the Stampin’ Galley again yesterday. It has become very apparent that it’s going to take a long time to get it done, I have wayyyyyy too much stuff! It didn’t rain again so I sat outside for a while, it was cooler so it was very nice. Today, more crafty purging, can’t wait to get it finished! 😀

I made a fun little card yesterday for this week’s Paper Players challenge…

I love when I can get a lot of use out of a stamp set and the Concord & 9th Orange You Sweet Set is a great one, so many different options! To start the card I used a few of the images from the set to stamp a watermelon background on a piece of Solar White 80lb using Lobster, Noble Fir and Black Licorice Ink. Next I trimmed a piece of 65lb Vellum to the same size as the stamped panel and lined up one of the Orange You Sweet Dies over the watermelon on the right and used the die to cut it out from only the Vellum. Then I heat embossed my greeting in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder in the upper left of the Vellum. It’s placed back over the stamped piece so I could decided where I wanted my Pretty Pink Posh Raspberry and Marshmallow Sequins. They are adhered with Multi-Matte Medium, after they dried I added dots of Multi-Matte Medium behind the sequins and adhered it to the stamped panel. A piece of Noble Fir is adhered to the back of that and then the whole thing is adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I do love the way the vellum softens the rest of the background and the cutout gives that one a nice pop! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Player sketch challenge! Thanks for starting your week off with me! Have a marvelous Monday! 🙂

Sunshine Bulb

Yesterday I finally got into the Stampin’ Galley and started to go through the overabundance of things that I have! There is a lot of stuff! It needs to be organized and thinned out! It was pleasant outstanding again so I spent some time enjoying the weather. Taylor came by last night and hung out, I do so enjoy spending time with the child! We are supposed to have some rain today. Maybe I’ll get through some more stuff! 😀

I have a relatively simple card to share with you today! I used the Concord & 9th Sunshine Turnabout Photopolymer Stamp with my MISTI and some Sunflower Ink to create my background. It’s adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My greeting is from the same set and is stamped in Black Licorice. The fun light bulb is from the Concord & 9th Shine Brighter Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the base on Ionized Curious Metallic and heat embossed it with Hero Arts Platinum Embossing Powder. The bulb is heat embossed in Hero Arts White on a piece of 65lb Vellum and they are both cut out with the Coordinating Dies. A piece of 3M Foam Tape behind the base adheres the bulb to the card. Three Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins complete the card. Yes, that light bulb is a favorite and I love it with the Sunshine Turnabout behind it! I hope that you enjoyed today’s card! Thank you for stopping by! Have a super Sunday! 🙂

Fab Friday 117

And it’s Friday! Did the week move a little on the slow side or is it just me?! I did complete my trifecta of productive days! I also ran a few errands and mailed out some packages. Jim came by around 5:00 and we watched a little TV and then went to Friday’s for dinner. I have a lot of rewards points so it was a cheap dinner to boot! LOL! I also stopped by Heather’s and saw her and Stephanie for a bit before coming home and calling it a night. I think we are supposed to get some rain today, the end of the perfect weather. But it will be just one day! 😀

It’s a Fab Friday week and we have a sketch for you this time…

My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the Concord & 9th Barnwood Background Stamp stamped in Khaki on the front. I used the Simon Says Stamp Nesting Circles Dies to cut out a piece of Solar White 80lb and stamped the images from the Concord & 9th Orange You Sweet Photopolymer Stamp Set in Catkin and Khaki Ink. I stamped a singe one and cut that out with the Coordinating Orange You Sweet Dies. My greeting is from the same set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto a strip of Black 110lb. I adhered the large circle to the card with E-Z Runner Ultra Strong and the single kiwi and greeting with 3D Foam Squares. A nice simple card with my favorite background and a fun greeting! Paper Players 352 & Freshly Made Sketches 296

Well, I did get some of the stuff done that I wanted to finish yesterday. I also had to take a ride over to Heather’s job to drop something off to her. When I got back home I went next door to do some laundry and locked myself out of the house! Don’t know how that happened! Around 5:30 I headed over to Heather’s, she made me dinner and we ran some errands. A good way to end the evening! This morning more stuff that needs to get done will get done! 😀

I have a double challenge card for you today! That almost never happens but I wanted to get my Paper Players card in before it was too late and I had an idea for the Freshly Made Sketches challenge so I combined them! Here are the two challenges…

My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I stamped the My Favorite Things Romantic Script Background in Smoke Ink onto another piece of Solar White 110lb and adhered it to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. The bird is from the Hero Arts Color Layering Bird and Branch Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped him in Thistle, Hot Mama and Grape Juice, his feet in Khaki, and then used the Coordinating Frame Cuts to cut him out. His feet are adhered with E-Z Runner and the body with 3D Foam Squares. My greeting is from the Hero Arts Many Everyday Messages Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto a piece of Black 110lb. It’s adhered in the lower right corner and the card is done! I love that scripty background and the fun bird! I hope that you enjoyed my card for the Paper Players and Freshly Made Sketches Challenges! Thank you for coming by! Have a fantastic Friday! 🙂

OSAT July Blog Hop – Very Vintage!

Another nice sunny day and I managed to be productive again! I got a few things done in the morning and watched a little TV. Jim came by after work and we had Chinese for dinner and watched Maleficent, still love that movie! I also ran over to Heather’s for a bit before calling it a night. Today I have lots more computer related stuff to get done. No TV until it is! LOL! 😀

For my projects today I’m participating in a blog hop with a bunch of my friends from one of the Facebook groups that I belong to. It’s called One Stamp at a Time Cards and More. If you have arrived here from the clever Jeanna Bohanon’s blog, welcome! This month we have a Vintage Theme! I’m not very good at vintage but I did have a lot of fun making my card!!

I started the card by choosing a piece of paper from the Prima Jodie Lee Butterfly A4 Paper Pad and I used the Tim Holtz Mixed Media #2 Dies to cut out the upper left corner. It is adhered to a piece of Early Espresso with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. The butterfly is cut from another piece of paper from the same pad and a piece of Solar White 110lb. I coated the white with Versa-Mark and dipped it into my Hero Arts Copper Embossing Power and heat embossed it. Some more Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive adheres the two butterfly pieces together. My greeting is from the Papertrey Ink Think Big Favorites Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in more Copper onto a piece of 65lb Vellum. I folded the edges around the back of the background and adhered it to a card base Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The butterfly is adhered to the card with 3M Foam Tape and just a few Pretty Pink Posh Rose Gold Sequins complete the card. I do love that paper and the Mixed Media Die along with the butterfly! Makes for a fun card!

I hope that you enjoyed my Father’s Day cards for the OSAT Vintage Blog Hop! You can click on the next button below to go back to the start and see clever Andrea Tracy-Tucker has come up with!! Thank you so much for stopping by to see me today. Have a thoroughly awesome Thursday! 🙂
