French Foliage CASE

Happy Saturday to you all! I’m off to the Manhattan today to drop off some orders, my daughter is going to take a ride in with me. It will be cold but I love Manhattan. For today’s card I CASED my friend Sandy’s card. I loved the card so much that I got the French Foliage Stamp Set just so I could make it. The card is uses every stamp in the set at least once. I stamped the images in Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Cajun Craze and Always Artichoke on Very Vanilla Card Stock. The square image on the card is actually Clear Block C stamped on the ink pad and then onto the card. I added some 3/16″ Metallic Brads and 1/4″ Early Espresso Grosgrain Ribbon for embellishment. The greeting is from a great go to set Teeny Tiny Wishes and is stamped in Early Espresso and punched out with the Word Window Punch then mounted on a halved Stampin’ Dimensional. Very Vanilla is mounted on Crumb Cake and then mounted on the card base of Early Espresso. This card would work for so many different occasions, thank you, miss you and especially a masculine birthday. I really like the card, it’s one of my favorites of all time. I hope that you have a great day and thanks so much for stopping by. 🙂

So Sweet Watermelon Mini

Happy Sunday peeps! How is everyone’s weekend so far? Mine is good, I’m off to Manhattan today for a Workshop. For today’s card I was inspired by Mary Fish over at Stampin’ Pretty. She had another one of her great One Minute to Wow videos using the Mouthwatering Stamp Set and a punch. This card would make a great Valentine for kids to give, a gift tag or just a note card to hand to someone. I used Lucky Limeade Card Stock for the base. The Perfect Polkadots Textured Impressions Embossing Folder is great for so many different cards and it works here too on Whisper White Card Stock. I choose the Watermelon stamp from the Mouthwatering Stamp Set (Occasions Mini) and used my Stampin’ Write Markers in Lucky Limeade and Cherry Cobbler to color in the stamp and the stamped it on Whisper White. The 2 1/2″ Circle Punch perfectly punches out the Watermelon! I just used my Paper Trimmer to cut off the other half of the circle. When you use the Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer Punch you get these little “seeds” left over and they work perfectly for the watermelon seeds. The sentiment is form the Sweet Cake Stamp Set (Occasions Mini) and is stamped in Cherry Cobbler. I used the Modern Label Punch to punch it out and punched out a second one in Cherry Cobbler and cut it in half and placed it sticking out on the sides behind it. Some Stampin’ Dimensionals to mount it and it’s all done. Who wouldn’t love to get this card?! Thanks so much for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Mojo 227

A very good morning to you all. It’s Wednesday people… we are halfway there! Today, I give you this weeks Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge…

I love playing along each week, the sketch gets the creative juices flowing! I used Soft Suede, Poppy Parade, Crumb Cake, Pool Party and Very Vanilla Card Stock. I decided to go with a simple design. For the background I used the Perfect Polkadots Textured Impressions Embossing Folder with Soft Suede and, what is my favorite one of late, the Vintage Wallpaper Textured Impressions Embossing Folder with Poppy Parade. A piece of Crumb Cake punched with the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch conceals the seam. The Happy Birthday, from the Elementary Elegance Stamp Set (Sale-A-Bration), is stamped in Lucky Limeade and then sponged with Crumb Cake. The awesome Labels Collection Framelits Die was embossed with the Designer Frames Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (idea courtesy of Mary Fish) and also sponged in Crumb Cake. A piece of Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper (Sale-A-Bration) and a piece of Pool Party Card Stock is slipped in behind. The bow is Crumb Cake Seam Binding Ribbon and was tied using the fork method (courtesy of Sandy Mathis) and adds the perfect finishing touch. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Birthday Punch Out Card

Good morning everyone. I hope that all is well with you. I’m doing pretty good, loving the mild winter! For today’s card I got inspiration from Becky from Inking Idaho again (http://www.inkingidaho.blogspot.com/). I have seen this type of card elsewhere too so I had to make one. I used Whisper White, Pear Pizzaz and Blushing Bride Card Stock. I ran the Whisper White throughout the Big Shot using the Perfect Polkadots Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. Then I took the Blossom Punch and punched out most of the flower from the left side. I stamped an image in Blushing Bride, from the Mixed Bunch Stamp Set, and punched out another flower in Blushing Bride. Using my Stamp-a-ma-jig for perfect positioning, I stamped another flower in Blushing Bride on the card base through the punch out. The leaves are made using the 1 3/8″ Circle Punch and then punching out two leaves from each circle. The greeting is form one of the FREE sets that you can get during Sale-A-Bration, Elementary Elegance. I used the 1 3/8″ Circle Punch to punch it out and the mounted it on some Pear Pizzaz punched out with the 1 3/4″ Scallop Circle Punch. The flower and the greeting are popped up on some Stampin’ Dimensionals. Two Bitty Buttons tied with thread and adhered with Mini Glue Dots finish the card. I hope that you enjoyed pink card number 2! Thanks so much for visiting!

Coffee Cup Valentine Slide Up

Good morning peeps! I hope that everyone is enjoying the weekend. It’s nice and sunny here on Long Island today. I have little Abbygail’s 1st birthday party later on. I made the invitations for the party and you can see them here: http://jkcards.wordpress.com/2012/01/04/abbys-first-birthday/. I love looking at all of the other Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator blogs and the great ideas that they have. Today’s card was inspired by Becky over at Inking Idaho (http://www.inkingidaho.blogspot.com/). I used some Whisper White, Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake and Real Red Card Stock. The base of the card is made by cutting a piece of card stock to 4″ x 10″ and scoring it at 5″. You then put it in your paper cutter and measure in on the closed end 1/2″ and cut up to the open end on a diagonal on both sides. I adhered the two sides together with some Sticky Strip and then took some Crumb Cake cut to 4″ x 2″ and ran it through the Paper Crimper. It was then adhered to the front of the card about 1 1/2″ from the bottom and the excess was trimmed off. The lid is made using a piece of card stock that is 4 1/4″ x 1 1/4″ the 1/4″  at the top is trimmed off the long way and the corners are rounded with the 3/16″ Corner Rounder. The 1/4″ strip is adhered to the middle to give it the coffee cup lid look. A piece of Early Espresso Card Stock cut to 3″ x 5″ and angled the same way as the “cup” was adhered to the back of the lid and slid inside. The heart from the P.S. I Love You Stamp Set was stamped in Real Red Ink and then I used the Hearts Collection Framelits to cut it out. Pairing it with the Fashionable Hearts Embosslit from the Occasions Mini with Real Red Card Stock and some Real Red 5/8″ Grosgrain Ribbon from the Clearance Rack (no longer available) to embellish the front. I am a big Starbucks fan so I love this card. You could adhere some Whisper White to the Early Espresso so you could write on the inside or leave it as is and just adhere a gift card to it! Thank so much for stopping by and have a great day!

Grammy’s 94th Birthday

Good morning all. The weekend is here! I hope you are all doing some fun stuff. I’m going to a Chinese New Year party later on tonight, that should be fun! This year marks my Grandmother’s 94th Birthday! She lives in Pennsylvania and I have fond memories of all of the time I spent there as a child. She loves flowers and had some of the nicest ones in her gardens that I have ever seen. There used to be poppies all along the fence. That’s what inspired the color combination for her card. I’m loving the new Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper in the Sale-A-Bration Catalog along with the Elementary Elegance Stamp Set where the sentiment and bird come from. You can get these items and many more for FREE with every $50 you spend form the Occasions Mini or Idea Book & Catalog. The beautiful flower is from the Mixed Bunch Stamp Set and is punched out with the Blossom Punch, both items can be found in the 2012 Occasions Mini. I stamped it in Poppy Parade and backed it with some Poppy Parade Card Stock punched out with the same punch. I have wanted to get the Family Reunion Stamp Set from the Idea Book & Catalog for a while and I’m glad that I did. It’s nice to be able to put Grandma on the card along with Happy Birthday. I punched it out with the Oval Punch and mounted it on Poppy Parade Card Stock punched out with the Scalloped Oval Punch. The frame around the sentiment was a great tip from Mary Fish (www.stampinpretty.com). I cut out the label with the Framelits Label Collection Dies and then used the Designer Frames Textured Impressions Embossing Folder that fits perfectly inside the label. It gives it great detail and was super easy. A little bit of 1/2″ Stitched Poly Ribbon in Poppy Parade (thanks Nina Dee!) across the top of the Very Vanilla Card Stock that was embossed with the Vintage Wallpaper Textured Impressions Embossing Folder give a nice separation from the Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper. I love the way the card came out and hope you enjoyed it too. Thank you for stopping by and have a wonderful day.

Tea Shoppe Stay

Morning peeps! I hope that you all had a nice weekend. Mine was good, although it goes way too fast. For today’s card I was inspired by Mary Fish (www.stampinpretty.com). She always has such clean modern designs. The card stock is Very Vanilla and Island Indigo. I stamped the three tea cups and sentiment from the Tea Shoppe Set in the Occasions Mini catalog and cut them out with my paper trimmer. I purposely made the slightly different sizes for a little added interest. The corners were then rounded with the 3/16″ Corner Rounder and mounted the on Island Indigo and I adhered them to the Vintage Wallpaper Textured Impressions Embossing Folder background with some Stampin’ Dimensionals. A piece of Very Vanilla 1/4″ Grosgrain Ribbon adds a nice touch across the card with the little bow. The shapes give it the modern feel but the texture in the background keeps it a little vintage. I hope you like the card and thanks for stopping by! Have a great day!

Valentine’s Mini Card Box

Happy Sunday everyone! I hope that everyone had a great weekend and is enjoying today. I’m listening to Winston, my dog snore sleeping on the bed. 🙂 For today’s project I was inspired by my good friend Sandy’s Valentine’s box post earlier in the week (www.stampwithsandy.com). She is so talented and clever and the set that she designed is beautiful. Mine is a little less complicated and would work great for some Valentine’s for the kids. I used some Cherry Cobbler, Chocolate Chip and Very Vanilla Card Stock, sounds like such a yummy combination! The box was made using Sandy’s tutorial with the Simply Scored. The top has a piece of Very Vanilla that I ran through the Big Shot using the Texturz Plates Backgrounds 1. I’m really liking these for the subtle effect that they produce. The stamped heart is from the Take It To Heart Set in the Occasions Mini and was cut out using the Hearts Collection Framelits Dies and mounted on a Chocolate Chip heart cut out the same way. The sentiment was punched out with the Word Window Punch and backed by another stamp from the P.S. I Love You set and then punched out with the Modern Label Punch. For the cards inside use stamps also from the P.S. I Love You set and were punched out with the 1 3/8″ and 1″ Circle Punches and popped up on a Stampin’ Dimensional. I ran some Cherry Cobbler through the Big Shot with the hearts from the Adorning Accents Textured Impressions Embossing Folders. The Chocolate Chip heart was punched out with the Heart To Heart Punch. Some Mini Square Envelopes complete the project. Thanks for coming by and enjoy the rest of your day!

The Paper Players Challenge #78

Hello everyone! I hope that you all are having a good week so far. It was a little rainy here yesterday but as long as it’s not snow I’m happy! This week I decided to give another challenge a try. The Paper Players has some really great talent. I was excited to sit down and make my card using the colors for this week: Calypso Coral, Blushing Bride and Pear Pizzaz. I immediately thought of the new Designer Series Paper Everyday Enchantment from the 2012 Sale-A-Bration Catalog (starts January 24th). I love the colors in the paper and it actually prompted me to get all of the In-Colors for 2010-2012 and 2011-2013. The greeting is from Outlined Occasions also in the Sale-A-Bration Catalog. I stamped it in Pear Pizzaz and then used a Blender Pen to color in the confetti around the word Celebrate. The flowers are from the Mixed Bunch Stamp Set available in the 2012 Occasions Mini. They coordinate with the Blossom Punch and the 1″ Circle Punch. I also punched out some Pear Pizzaz Card Stock to back the flowers. The brad in the middle is from the Everyday Enchantment Ribbon and Brad Pack from Sale-A-Bration too. There are so many great items in the catalog I can’t wait for you to get your hands on them too! I popped the flowers up on some Stampin’ Dimensionals and framed the greeting with some more Pear Pizzaz Card Stock. I really like the color combination and hope you like the card. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Easy Sending Love x 2

Morning everyone! I hope that everyone has had a good week. It’s Friday!! Today’s card was inspired by a very good friend of mine, Chantal. She got an early peek at the new Sale-A-Bration Catalog and saw this card. I told her what was used to make it and she placed her order. I took it over to her the other night and we sat down and made one. I didn’t really like the card when I saw it in the catalog. After we made it though I decided that I really do like it. It’s a very simple but really nice card. I liked it so much that a made a mini 3 x 3 version of it too. The card uses the Easy Events Stamp Set. It’s a great set to have as it comes with eight stamps for various occasions. I stamped it on to Very Vanilla Card Stock in Chocolate Chip Ink. I then stamped the image again on another piece of card stock. I used a Q-tip and some Lucky Limeade Ink to color in the top of the tree and the grass. Stampin’ Up!’s Paper Snips work great for detailed cutting and after I cut out the top of the tree it was place on the main image with some Stampin’ Dimensionals. The hearts were markered on the stamp and stamped randomly on the card. They were then colored in and the marker was also used to draw over the word love. A small strip of Real Red Card Stock was adhered to the bottom for a finishing touch. Chantal is going to make them to send out for her Valentine’s Cards. She has become quite the little crafter! Thanks for stopping by and have a great Friday!
