Fabulous Friend

A very happy Monday to you! I had another super productive day yesterday with Jim. We finished all of our projects and I have a few pictures to share with you! First is a little storage made with unfinished wood crates from Michaels. We stained them and used screws to hold the two larger ones together…

Next up is the new table set up. I love the “chandelier” over the table…

Such a nice little set up to welcome you to the house! We added the flower boxes too! It really was a lot of fun to get everything done and then see the finished product! Can’t wait to see what’s next! He made a delicious dinner as always and we sat on the porch and enjoyed it for a while before I headed home. Today I hope to get all caught up on some of my projects! ๐Ÿ˜€

I got home late again last night so I needed another quick card! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I stamped the greeting and images from the Concord & 9th Aloha Friend Photopolymer Stamp Set. The greeting is stamped in Hippo and the flowers in Freshly Cut Grass and Peachy Keen using my Mini MISTI so that I could double stamp everything. I added Pretty Pink Posh Lemon Drop Sequins and Pearls to the centers of the flowers and the card is done! I love the flowers in that set and the fun greetings! I hope that you like today’s card! I thank you so much for starting another week off with me! Have an absolutely amazing Monday! ๐Ÿ™‚

Moonstone Hydrangea

Well that was a very busy but productive Saturday at Jim’s! We refinished a coffee table, painted some furniture and lamps and painted the front patio floor! A few trips to Ace Hardware and Michaels and a nice dinner! What a fun way to spend a Saturday! I’ll be back over there today to finish up! ๐Ÿ˜€

When I got home last night I had to make a quick card and since it’s Simple Sunday it fits! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I stamped the images from the Concord & 9th Petals & Palettes Photopolymer Stamp Set in Moonstone for the hydrangeas and Jalapeรฑo for the leaves and stems. I stamped an additional hydrangea and used the Coordinating Dies to cut it out. It’s adhered to the card with 3M Foam Tape. The greeting is from the same set and is stamped in Black Licorice. That’s it! A nice floral thank you card! I love the Moonstone ink for the hydrangeas, it’s perfect! I hope that you like my card for today! Thank you so much for coming by! Have a simply perfect Sunday! ๐Ÿ™‚

Well, the rainy day did turn out to be a productive one! I got most of what I had to do finished! I also got a haircut and ran some errands and had some lunch with Heather. Dinner with my Parents and then finished the evening off with some TV. Today I think I’m supposed to go over to Jim’s to help with some projects! I never fins out until the last minute! LOL! Should be a fun day! ๐Ÿ˜€

I have a simple fun card for you today! I used the Concord & 9th Orange You Sweet Photopolymer Stamp Set to stamp some images and a greeting onto a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. It needed something more so I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Onyx and American Crafts Orange Sequins! Like I said super simple card but I love the orange slices and fun greeting! Paper Craft Crew 251

Yup, I had a nice productive day with my friend Sue yesterday! We got a lot of things done! I had a really quick dinner with my Parent’s when I got home and then headed over to see Heather. She had to go for an eye exam so I took the ride and then we hung out at her house for a bit. A little trip to Target before calling it a night and that was my day! I’ll be spending some time in front of the computer today playing catchup today! Fun! ๐Ÿ˜€

So, it’s Wednesday and time for this week’s Paper Craft Crew challenge…

I have to be honest, it took me a while to find something new! When you make a card a day like I do you tend to use all of your goodies as soon as you get them! I found a Pinkfresh Studio Set that I hadn’t inked up so I used it to make a super simple card! To start I stamped my greeting From the Pinkfresh Studio So Sweet Photopolymer Stamp Set in Merman onto a card base of Neenah Solar White 100lb Card Stock. The squares are stamped next in Jet Black and the outlined ones are colored in with my Copic R27 Marker. The ink spots are also stamped in Jet Black and for a little interest I adhered a few Pretty Pink Posh Clear Droplets over some of them with Multi-Matte Medium. That’s it! Super simple with some pops of color! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Theme Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thank you for stopping by! Have a wonderful Wednesday! ๐Ÿ™‚

Golden Hugs – Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th

Hi all! I hope that you had a happy and safe Independence Day! I started my day yesterday by picking up my friend Chantal and heading over to Long Beach. Her Granddaughter takes surfing lessons so we went to watch. While we were there we saw a whole bunch of Dolphins in the water just off the beach. Who knew that we had Dolphins in the waters here?! You can see the kids in the water…

Before heading back Chantal and I had a nice brunch at a local restaurant. It was great to get to spend some time with her! I dropped her off and then stopped by my house before heading over to Stephanie’s for a BBQ. There were a bunch of my peeps there and we had a really nice time! Today I have some crafting to do and a lot of cleaning. ๐Ÿ˜€

It’s time for my Solo Post over on the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Blog! You can also see this post over on the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Blog at 11:00AM today. On the Lobster I heat embossed the hugs from the Concord & 9th Cuddles & Hugs Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder. The two layers are adhered to the card with E-Z Runner Ultra Strong. A few Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins and the card is done! I love the edge dies and the nice simple hugs greeting! SIP Challenge 106 – Christmas in July!

Well, that was a nice long day in the city! I got in around 9:00 and headed up to the Apple Store to pick up an iMac for a friend of mine. Unfortunately it wasn’t ready, so after about four phone calls and lots of waiting I finally was able to get it at 4:00! Let me tell you, they are pretty heavy when you have to carry them for a few blocks! I made it back to the apartment seconds before the heavens opened! After I got the new one set up I had to pack up the old one and send it off to Maine. Again, heavy taking it to the UPS Store and $100 to ship it! Yikes! By the time I got home it was 8:15 so I came in and made my card for today and then I was done! LOL! This morning I’m going to pick up my friend Chantal and go and watch her granddaughter surf in over in Long Beach! Later on a BBQ at Steph’s! Happy Independence Day peeps! Fun times! ๐Ÿ˜€

It’s Tuesday so time for a new Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge

Ahh, it has been ages since I have made a Christmas card! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the Simon Says Stamp Falling Snow Stencil and Lake Shores Ink with my Mini Ink Blending Tool to add some color to the card. The fun frame is the Simon Says Stamp Holiday Frames Die cut from a piece of Merman. I added Acetate to the back and some 3M Foam Tape and filled it with Little Things by Lucy Brushed Gold Sequins. The snowflake is cut from Gold Mirror Card using the Simon Says Stamp Eliza Snowflake Die and is adhered to the frame with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. It’s been forever since I have made a shaker card and that frame die is perfect for them! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Christmas in July Challenge! We hope to see your cards in the Gallery so go over and check out the BLOG for some more inspiration! Thank you for visiting! Have a funtabulous 4th! ๐Ÿ™‚

Paper Players 351

It was a nice day here yesterday, in the high 80’s with lots of sun. I decided that it was important for me to be outside and enjoy it so I didn’t get as much done as I had wanted to but I still did manage to accomplish some things. I crafted for a bit and got a few things done on the computer. This morning I’m off to Manhattan again for the better part of the day. A nice way to start off my week! ๐Ÿ˜€

Monday and I have my card for this week’s Paper Players challenge to share with you…

I began by stamping the Concord & 9th Barnwood Background Photopolymer Stamp onto my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with some Lawn Fawn Merman Ink. My two hearts are die cut from Merman and Bluejay Card Stock using the Concord & 9th Heartstrings Dies. On the Merman one I used the Concord & 9th All About You Dies to cut out the word YOU. The celebrate is cut from another piece of Bluejay and adhered to the heart with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. I adhered the Bluejay heart to the card front with E-Z Runner and then used 3M Foam Tape to adhered to the Merman one adding the YOU back into the center. A few Pretty Pink Posh Cobalt Sequins complete the card! It’s a nice simple layout and I love the die cut YOU from the heart! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Players challenge! Thanks so much for starting your week off here with me! Have a magnificent Monday! ๐Ÿ™‚

CAS Birthday Pocket

Another lovely day at the lake! The weather has been really nice and sunny, it has been the perfect weekend to be up here! Yesterday we hung around the house for a while and then sat down by the lake for a long time. Jim made dinner and a bunch of people came by. Unfortunately all good things must come to an end and we will be leaving to go back home later on today. All in all it has been a wonderful weekend! ๐Ÿ˜€

While I was sitting thinking of what card I wanted to make the other day and what stamp set to use I remembered this oldie but goodie that I have! I stamped the images and greeting from the W Plus 9 A Pocketful Photopolymer Stamp Set in Black Licorice onto Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The images have solid dies so I did my die cutting first. The pocket is adhered to my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with 3M Foam Tape and the Birthday is stamped next to it. I slid a gift card into the pocket and done! I kept the card really white so that whatever you put in the pocket would pop! I hope that you like today’s Simple Sunday card! Thanks for visiting and enjoy your day! ๐Ÿ™‚

Another quick weekend done! I hope that you all enjoyed your Father’s Day! I had a nice quiet day, did some laundry in the morning and spent some time with Dad. Taylor came by in the afternoon and we had dinner and watched a little TV. I think it’s supposed to rain again today, guess I will try and get some card making in! ๐Ÿ˜€

Let’s start the week off with my card for this week’s Paper Players challenge…

I really have been enjoying making clean and simple cards lately! Today is another simple one layer one! To my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock I stamped some images and a greeting from the Concord & 9th Birdie Banners Photopolymer Stamp Set in Black Licorice and Moonstone Ink. I added some Black Gel pen to the eyes and some gold to their beaks. The background needed a little something so I took my Uni-ball Gold Gel Pen and added some dots. That’s it! A super simple card using minimal supplies! It would be a great one to make into a set to give to someone too! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Paper Players Challenge! Thank you so much for starting another week off her with me! Have a magnificent Monday! ๐Ÿ™‚

Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th – Layers!

Hello again! I’m back for my second post for today! We have a new challenge over on theย Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Blogย for the month of June! This time we ask you to create a a card with some layers!

I started my card by stamping the flower from the Pretty Petals Photopolymer Stamp Set in Lobster Ink. I then placed a piece of 29lb Vellum over the top and stamped the second layer of the flower in Versa-Mark and heat embossed it with Hero Arts White Satin Pearl. The Coordinating Dies cut out both layers, including a little Black 110lb for the flower center, and I adhered them to each other with E-Z Runner, hiding it behind the embossing. To make the background I cut a piece of Black 110lb with the Select-A-Size Edge Dies and adhered that to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My greeting is from the Happy Words Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Black Licorice right onto the card base. All that was left to do was to adhere the flower to the card with 3M Foam Tape! I love how the vellum softens the bold red of the flower and the funky edge offset is pretty neat too! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this month’s Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Layers Challenge! We hope that you will take some time to share your card with us in the gallery. Be sure to stop by the BLOG for some inspiration from the rest of the Team! Thanks so much for coming by again! Enjoy the rest of your Friday! ๐Ÿ™‚
