    Freshly Made Sketches 247

Oh, and a very happy Friday to you! What a nice day I had yesterday! Peeps stopped by the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store to get their orders and Renee had her wood home decor project class. They made a beach ball to replace the “o” in home. It’s a really cute project! Angie was at the store today too which is always fun! She is a bad influence as we had Wendy’s for lunch! After work I headed straight over to Heather’s for Thirsty Thursday. She made me dinner, a nice salad, and we chatted about the day. After a while she decided that she needed to go to Walmart. I got an aromatherapy diffuser that was 19.88 but rang up $158.98! WHAT?! Someone keyed in that price wrong! After a discussion with the manager I got it for $19.88 (which really was the correct price) she was convinced that it was more! This morning I have a haircut with my Jessica and then it’s off to the store to work on the rest of my cards for this month’s card class. I finished one today and I love the way it came out! Oh, while I was at the store yesterday I decided to give freehand watercoloring a try and this is what I came up with…

    Watercolor Feather

I’m pretty pleased with it! Can’t wait to do some more!

I made my card at the store again yesterday! This one is for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge…

    Freshly Made Sketches 247

My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock cut to 3 1/2″ wide. I took a piece of Tim Holtz Watercolor Card and used Evergreen Bough and Pine Needles Distress Ink and a Waterbrush to add color. After it was dry I heat embossed the leaves from the Hero Arts You’re So Lovely Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts Copper Embossing Powder and then used the Lawn Fawn Heart Stackables Lawn Cuts to cut it out. It’s adhered to the card with Dot Runner Adhesive. My flowers are from the same set and are stamped in Dark Quartz and Butter Bar, they are cut out with the Coordinating Frame Cuts and adhered to the heart with Dot Runner and Foam Tape. The greeting is from the Love Stamp & Cut Photopolymer Stamp Set, I die cut the love from a piece of Black 80lb and then coated it in Versa-Mark and heat embossed it in more Copper Embossing Powder. Some more Dot Runner and Foam Tape adheres it to the card. It needed a little something so I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Tangerine and Marigold and SIP Copper Sequins. I love the usual mix of colors and the Copper Embossing makes a nice change from Gold, wouldn’t you say?! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge! Thank you for coming by to see what I have been up to! Have a fun-tastic Friday! 🙂

    Paper Craft Crew 204

Hey, hey it’s Wednesday! LOL! I try to think up new ways to start off my posts! It was another very warm day here, still loving it! I got a lot accomplished at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store including making my card for today! Yay for being productive! When I got home I had some dinner and then had a conference call with my friend Greg! After that Louis stopped by for a bit to pick up a Birthday card for his sister. We watched some YouTube and then I ran out to get gas in the car. I like to do it late at night, there are less people and then I don’t have to stop on my way in the morning! All about the planning… right?!

The card that I conjured up at the store is for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch…

    PCCCS204 DT Sketch 7-27-2016

I wanted bright and fun, you’ll have to let me know know if I was successful! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I took a piece of Cyber Grape Card Stock and flicked some Copic Opaque White onto it. Once it was dry I adhered it to the card base with E-Z Runner. Down the right side is a piece of Bo Bunny Believe 12×12 Devotion Paper and a strip if Gold Mirror Card. My oval is a piece of Tropical Sea Card Stock that I cut out with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Ovals Stackables. Some Fun Foam and E-Z Runner adheres it to the card. The stamped images are form the Altenew Lotus Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the flowers in Soft Lilac, Lavender Fields and Deep Iris and the leaves in Frayed Leaf and Forest Glades. They are cut out with the Coordinating Dies and adhered to the oval with E-Z Runner and Foam Tape. The hexagon is another piece of Gold Mirror Card that I cut out with a die from the Spellbinders Hipster 1 Die D-Lites. My greeting is from the Altenew Sentiments & Quotes Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Onyx Black, I flagged the ends and adhered it over the hexagon with Foam Tape. You knew it was coming! LOL! I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Gold, Amethyst and Lime Sorbet Sequins for a little more sparkle and the card is done! I love that Lotus Stamp Set and the nice bold colors on the card! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours into the gallery! SIP Challenge 58 – A Sketch from Lisa!

Well that was an interesting Monday! When I arrived at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store there was no electricity! Renee had a class at 11:00 and the troopers that they all are they came and scrapbooked! Thankfully there was just enough light to let them sit at the first table although it did get a little warm in there! The power finally came back on around 1:00, that is a long time for me to be without a computer! LOL! I did manage to get some stuff done but not as much as I had wanted to. Guess I’ll have to kick it into high gear today!

It’s Tuesday and time for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge

    SIP Challenge 58

My card starts off with a base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. Across the lower half is a piece of paper from the Lawn Fawn Perfectly Plaid 6×6 Paper Pack. My ice cream is a piece of Canson 140lb Watercolor Card, I created a mask with a piece of Post-it Tape and used my Mini Ink Blending Tool to apply some Ground Espresso Distress Ink to the top part. It’s cut out with the Concord & 9th Sweet & Cool Dies. I used my Heat Tool to dry the ink and then applied a thick coat of Versa-Mark to the entire piece and dipped it in some Hero Arts Clear Embossing Powder and heat set that. The stick is a piece of EK Success Wood Sheet and is cut out with the same dies. I adhered it to the bottom of the ice cream and then adhered the whole thing to the card with E-Z Runner and Fun Foam. My greeting is from the Concord & 9th Sweet & Cool Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped it in Hero Arts Tangerine Hybrid and Tide Pool Ink. What was missing… oh yes! Sequins! LOL! I added a scattering of Pretty Pink Posh Blue Lagoon, Pumpkin, Watermelon, Lime Sorbet and Sparkling Clear around the ice pop and the card is finished! I love the clear embossing over the ice cream! It makes the chocolate look good enough to eat! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! Head on over to the BLOG and see what the rest of the Team has done to inspire you and add your card to the gallery! Thank you so much for visiting with me today! Have a tantalizing Tuesday! 🙂

    Freshly Made Sketches 246

It’s the weekend peeps! What’s on for you?! I will be at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store, as always! LOL! Today there is a private crop so I will only be staying until around 2:00 and then I’m going to attempt to get some stuff done around the house. Although, I have been longing to go to Long Beach for a nice walk along the boardwalk. We’ll see which wins out! Nick was at the store yesterday and we switched the storage room and the kitchen. We need more space to keep stuff and get a little more organized and the kitchen was a little bigger than the storage room, problem solved! Sue came up to the store yesterday too and hung out with me. We rearranged some stuff and straighten up. I saw Angie for a bit before I left, she had her art journaling class last night. Always something fun going on at the store!

Today I have my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge to share with you…

    Freshly Made Sketches 246

Oh, a tag! LOL! The card base for today is Ivory 110lb Card Stock. I used the Lawn Fawn Cross Stitched Rectangles Stackables Lawn Cuts to cut out another piece and adhered it to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner for my background. The tag is a piece of Kraft Card Stock that is cut out with the Tim Holtz Tags Collection Framelits. The reinforcement is cut from Gold Mirror Card. I adhered the tag to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner with a piece of May Arts Hemp Twine tied though the top. Another piece of Ivory 110lb is die cut with one of the dies from the Spellbinders Die of the Month 7 Kit with my Platinum Machine. I also embossed it and adhered it to the tag with a Glue Dot. The leaves and berries are from the same set, cut from red and green, and the feathers are from the Spellbinders Feathers Shapeabilities Dies, they are cut from Gold Mirror Card. I also used a Glue Dot to adhere them. My greeting is from the Altenew Sentiments & Quotes Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder onto a piece of Black 110lb. That is adhered to the card with Foam Tape. I added a dot of Multi-Matte Medium under the twine to keep it in place and that finished the card! Yes, I think that my obsession with feathers is back, especially the Spellbinders ones! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge! Thanks for stopping by today! I wish you all a spectacular Saturday! 🙂

    SIP Challenge 57 – Black & White!

Hello my blog people! How was your Monday?! Mine was crazy busy! LOL! No surprise there! The Stamp, Ink, Paper Store was fun. I got my Notions order in and had one more person for Card Class today. My friend Lori also stopped by to get her dies that she ordered. Around 5:30 the heavens opened up and it poured for about 1/2 hour then the sun came back out. I had a quick dinner with my Parent’s and then came home and started working on some of the 100’s of projects that I need to finish! Today I have a conference call in the morning and Renee has Kids Camp at the store. It’s all a go all the time and I wouldn’t have it any other way!

Today is Tuesday and that means that we have a new Stamp, Ink, Paper challenge to share with you…

Ahh… Black & White! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the Lawn Fawn Cross Stitched Rectangles Stackables Lawn Cuts to cut out a piece of Black 110lb and heat embossed the greeting from the Altenew Painted Greetings Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder. It’s adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. The flowers are from the Altenew Dahlia Blossom Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the outlines in Jet Black and the highlights in Evening Gray and then used the Coordinating Dies to cut them all out. They are adhered to the card with a mix of Foam Tape and E-Z Runner. I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins around the greeting to help balance the card out and it’s done! I do love those Dahlias, especially in just the gray and black! Well, that was a busy Sunday! The Stamp, Ink, Paper Store was very busy for a Sunday! We had some visitors from up-state New York and Melissa and her Mum came by to do the cards for this month’s class. My Mum and Dad stopped by too! I had a raging headache in the morning but thankfully two Excedrin did the trick to get rid of that. Well, that and the 8 cups of coffee that I had over the course of the day! It was another hot one too! Nice warm days make me appreciate my car even more! Dad changed the oil in the morning so she’s good for another 3,000 miles! I had dinner with my Parent’s and then I came home and worked on my card for today and took a nap! I was so tired all day! Today Renee has some people for a kid’s class and I have a Notions order arriving , I also need to place some more orders too! Oh how I thoroughly enjoy my job!

How do we love to start off the week? Why with a new Mojo Monday sketch challenge…

    Mojo457

My card starts of with the usual base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I covered the front in a piece of Desert Storm 80lb and added a strip of Watermelon Wonder across the lower half. The large stitched panel is a piece of Tim Holtz Woodgrain Card. I used my Mini Ink Blending Tool and some Gathered Twigs Distress Ink to color it and then die cut it using the Lawn Fawn Stitched Journaling Card Lawn Cuts. It’s adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. The smaller square is another piece of Desert Storm 80lb that I stamped with the Hero Arts Designer Woodgrain Background in Cup O Joe Ink. I rounded the corners with my Corner Chomper. The pineapple, flowers and greeting are from the Hero Arts Color Layering Pineapple Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the pineapple in Butter Bar and Caramel Hybrid Ink for the bottom and Lime Green, Field Green and Forever Green for the leaves. The flowers are stamped in Passion Flower and Grape Soda with a little Memento Tuxedo Black for the centers. I used the Coordinating Frame Cuts to cut them out. My greeting is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto a piece of Perfect Plum and adhered to the card with Foam Tape. I know, you were waiting for the sequins! LOL! Well I added some Pretty Pink Posh Amethyst, Shamrock and Lemon Drop ones! I think that pineapple and the flowers are so neat and the greeting is just great! SIP Challenge 56 – Christmas in July!

Another crazy Monday! The morning started off with a visit from Taylor and Kiera at 8:00AM! That’s a little too early for company! I do like to have my mornings to myself. I hurried to get ready and left the house around 9:00 to head over to the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store. Once there I settled in to get my Newsletter finished and out! It was done by 11:00! Yay! The rest of the day I spent making parts for upcoming projects. I need to get into the habit of doing that! Renee left a little early, she’s still not 100%. Once 7:00 rolled around it was time for me to go. It was in the 70’s which makes for a very nice top down ride home in the car! When I got to my Parent’s my little buddy Daniel was there along with my Brother and Erika. She thinks that today is the day! Fingers crossed that all goes well. After my little visit with them Heather came by and her and I ran to Target. She is going to have a procedure done on her back this morning. Fingers crossed for her too! I have a bunch of orders to get in for the store and some more projects to finish! Always a busy but great day!

Let’s see… Tuesday… ahh yes, that means that it’s time for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge

    SIP Theme 56 800

Christmas in July! I still think that it’s a bit too early for Holiday cards but I guess better early than when I usually start to make them, around November! The base for today’s card is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I cut a piece of Soft Sky to 5 1/4″ x 4″ and then used the Lawn Fawn Stitched Ovals to cut out a window from it. Some Foam Tape is adhered to the back and then it’s adhered to the card. My Poinsettias are from one of last year’s My Monthly Hero Kits. I stamped them in Crimson Hybrid, Raspberry Jam, Red Royal, Butter Bar and Orange Soda for the flowers and Green Hills and Forever Green for the leaves. Some Glossy Accents is added over the flower centers and once they were dry I adhered them to the card with Foam Tape and Dot Runner. My greeting is form the same set and is stamped in Red Royal right in the center of the oval! It needed something else so, yup, you guessed it, I added some Pretty Pink Posh Raspberry Sequins! I do love the blue background for the nice red flowers and sentiment, really makes is soft but bold! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Christmas in July Challenge! Make sure and stop by the BLOG and check out my fellow Designers cards and enter your in the gallery! Thank you so much for visiting with me! Have a great Tuesday! 🙂

Oh yes, day two of the crop was just as much fun as the first day! I love sitting there and chatting with everyone! We do have a good time and lots of laughs! Today for lunch was yummy salad pizza and then a little treat… some ice cream with lots of toppings! When I left the store at 5:00 I headed over to see my friend Chantal! I haven’t seen her in almost a year! It was her granddaughter Chloe’s Birthday so I went over for dinner. There were some more peeps there and we had a very nice time! By the time I got home it was 9:00, I retrieved Winston from my Parent’s and finished up my card for today. I had started the card at the store just stamping the background. Sometime you just need to stamp and a background is a fun way to do just that! Today I have some more ordering to do for the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store, I’m running out of room! LOL!

It’s the start of another week and that means a new Mojo Monday sketch challenge…

    Mojo456

The base of today’s card is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. For my background I stamped the flowers and leaves from the Hero Arts You’re So Lovely Photopolymer Stamp Set in Pale Tomato, Dark Quartz, Soft Pink and Tide Pool onto a piece of Solar White 80lb. The background is adhered to the card with E-Z Runner. I then die cut a piece of Strawberry Slush with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Squares and Stitched Circles Lawn Cuts. A piece of Crisp Cantaloupe is cut out with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Circle Frames Lawn Cuts and is adhered to the square with Multi-Matte Medium. The square is then adhered to the card with Foam Tape. My greeting is from the same set and is stamped in Tide Pool onto a piece of Solar White 110lb. I flagged the right side and adhered it to the card with more Foam Tape. Finally, some Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins are adhered in the upper left and lower right corners, keeping with the sketch! I love the different combination of colors for the background and the way that the sold card stock slightly mutes it! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge! Freshly Made Sketches 244

Hello and a very happy Saturday to you all! I guess that going to bed around 2:00AM isn’t such a good idea! My alarm went off at 6:30AM and I was awake… well… briefly, but I did one of those five more minutes things and ended up sleeping until 8:45! Oops! I still managed to get to work by 9:40 and I enjoyed my day at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store! I got caught up on a bunch of stuff in the morning and then my friend Sue came by around 2:00. We chatted with Renee for a bit and then went out and had lunch, some Panera! I got my favorite, tomato soup and grilled cheese! When we got back to the store we rearranged some things and placed some orders. Renee wasn’t feeling well so she left around 6:00 and Sue and I headed out around 6:50. When I got home I had spaghetti for dinner and then ran a few errands before relaxing for a bit watching some craft videos on YouTube. Today there is a crop at the store so I’m going to try and be crafty!

The card that I have to share with you today is for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge…

    Freshly Made Sketches 244

This card is actually the first card that I made when I got home on Thursday night! When I sat down to type my post I remembered about Fab Friday and then made that card! Hence the 2:00AM bed time! LOL! The card base for today is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I cut out an oval from a piece of The Paper Cut Amethyst Stardream Metallic with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Ovals Lawn Cuts. It’s adhere to the card with E-Z Runner. My flowers are from the Altenew Golden Garden Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped them in Jet Black, Soft Lilac, Lavender Fields, Deep Iris and Midnight Violet Crisp Inks. They are all cut out with the Coordinating Dies and adhered to the card with Foam Tape and Multi-Matte Medium in a cluster on the right of the oval. I stamped my greeting from the Altenew Beautiful Lady Photopolymer Stamp Set in Jet Black on a strip of Solar White 110lb, cut a funky banner on the left and adhered it to the card with more Foam Tape. A single flower is adhered on the right and I added some Pretty Pink Posh Amethyst, Pansy Purple, Orchid and Sparkling Clear Sequins along with a few Rhinestones for a little bling! We all know that it wouldn’t be jk card without a few sequins! LOL! I must say that I’m loving the loose sketch look of the flowers in the Golden Garden Set, especially in the purples! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge! Thank you for your continued visits! I wish you all a spectacular Saturday! 🙂

The weather… it’s very warm but I think that it’s just perfect! There is always a nice breeze by the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store due to our close proximity to the water. Some more orders arrived yesterday and they got entered and put out. My friend Robyn from Canada came in a got her very first Big Shot! I told her there is no turning back now! LOL! It was definitely a top down kind of day all day! It always makes any kind of ride in the car better, even the one home from the store! My Parent’s had a burger waiting for me when I got home and it was yummy! After dinner I ran over to see Heather. We just needed a night to ourselves! We did run out to BJ’s to pick up a few things. After a nice long chat I headed home to make my card for today. At the store I have my Heat Embossing 101 Class! You know how I like to heat emboss! They will be pro’s by the time we are finished!

The idea for my card for today popped into my head on the way home from Heather’s. It’s for this week’s Paper Players challenge…

    Paper Players #302

Ahh, it seems like forever since I made a Christmas card! I could almost feel the chill in the air as I crafted last night, or that may have been the air conditioner! LOL! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the Lawn Fawn Snowy Backdrop Die to cut out part of my background from a piece of Black 110lb Card. It cut off the bottom so that’s where I decided that I would heat emboss my sentiment from the Hero Arts Joy to the World Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder. The background is adhered to the card with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive and the greeting with Dot Runner. The skyline is cut from some, yup, you guessed it, Gold Mirror Card using the Impression Obsession City Landscape Layers Die. I adhered that to the card with more Dot Runner, using the lower edge to cover the seam between the greeting and the top part of the background. My tree is from the Hero Arts Color Layering Christmas Tree Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped it in Hero Arts Lime Green, Green Hills and Forever Green with the final layer heat embossed in more White Embossing Powder. I used the Coordinating Frame Cuts to cut it out and some Foam Tape holds it in place! A nice simple card that reminds me of the tree in Rockefeller Center at Christmas time! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Paper Players Christmas in July challenge! Thank you for taking a little time to come by and see me today! I wish you a Merry… wait… too early! LOL! I wish you all a wonderful Thursday! 🙂
