Scrap-A-Latte March Lawn Fawn Card Class Cards!

Welcome to day two of the weekend! My Saturday was busy and fun! Heather stopped by and picked me up at 10:45 and we went and got manicures! After that we stopped at Target and then headed back to her house for a little lunch. She had to get ready for the Fire Department Installation Dinner so I helped! I guess all of that crafting can also translate to makeup application and hair! LOL! She wanted smoky eyes so I gave her some smoky eyes! She dropped me off around 4:30 and went over to meet George so they could get their evening under way. I headed over to Scarp-A-Latte to meet Jen Starr. She was teaching some classes there today and we have been friends on FaceBook for a while so it was great to get to meet her in person! She’s super nice and really talented! When I got back home I sat down and crafted for a bit and finished off the evening with a little TV. Today I’m heading into Manhattan to hang out at The Ink Pad with Jane for the day! We are supposed to get snow tonight into tomorrow morning for the first day of Spring, now that just shouldn’t be allowed! LOL!

As promised today I have the cards that were made in Card Class at Scrap-A-Latte this month. We used a bunch of new goodies from the latest Lawn Fawn release! I hope that you enjoy seeing the cards as much as the class did making them. I also have four sets of supplies to make the cards from class available. If you would like them send me an email for further information! Thanks so much for visiting with me today! Have a super Sunday my friends! 🙂

OSAT Blog Hop – Spring has Sprung!

OSAT Blog Hop Banner

I had a lovely two days in Manhattan! My time at The Ink Pad was fun as it always is, I of course picked up some more goodies! LOL! It’s rough sitting there looking at all of the awesome things that they have without leaving with something! I want to thank my amazing friend Kim for her hospitality as always and I look forward to seeing her again on Friday! She’ll be at Card Class and then I’ll be squatting at her place yet again! She really is just the best! Today I’m off to see my friend Sue for Etsy fun and then it’s IKEA and Thirsty Thursday with Heather and the gang later on!

For my projects today I’m participating in a blog hop with a bunch of my friends from one of the Facebook groups that I belong to. It’s called One Stamp at a Time Cards and More. This month we have a Spring is Sprung theme! It’s quite timely for here in NY, it was 76 degrees yesterday!! If you have arrived here from Megan’s blog welcome! Isn’t she clever?! I have a card and a little terrarium for you today so let’s get to it!

First up is my card and that starts off with a base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I covered the front in a piece of Lawn Fawn Mermaid Card Stock that I cut out with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangles Lawn Cuts. I used the same size Stitched Rectangles to cut out a piece of Noble Fir and Solar White 80lb. On the Noble Fir I used the Lawn Fawn Grassy Border Lawn Cut and on the Solar White I used the Puffy Clouds Border Lawn Cuts. I also cut out a piece of Solar White with the Picket Fence Border Lawn Cut.. The fence and grass are adhered with Multi-Matte Medium and the clouds with E-Z Runner. I stamped some images from the Lawn Fawn Fairy Friends and Gleeful Gardens Photopolymer Stamp Sets in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored them in with my Copics. They are cut out with the Coordinating Lawn Cuts and all are adhered to the card with E-Z Runner with the exception of the fairy who is adhered with Foam Tape. The greeting is stamped on the clouds with Onyx Black and some Pretty Pink Posh Amethyst and Sparkling Clear Sequins are added to make it look like the fairy is sparkling some happiness on the greenery! I have to say that I’m really liking the Lawn Fawn Card Stock, nice bright and bold colors with a good weight to it and the fun spring scene is just fun!

OSAT March Blog Hop Card-WM

Next I have my little terrarium! I was inspired by the ones that I saw on the Lawn Fawn Blog a few weeks ago! All of the images are from the Fairy Friends and Gleeful Gardens Photopolymer Stamp Sets, again colored in with my Copics and cut out with the Coordinating Lawn Cuts. I took a styrofoam ball and trimmed off a piece and then wrapped it in some Green Felt adhering it with a Hot Glue Gun. I always forget how hot the glue is until I’m reminded by it sticking to my finger and giving me a nice blister! The pain we endure for crafting! LOL! The “grass” is then adhered to the lid with more hot glue. I used Floral Wire adhered to the backs of the images to attach them to my “grass” and then screwed the lid closed. I think it’s a really cute piece of decor and will look neat on my kitchen table!

Fab Friday 82

Hello everyone and a very happy Friday to you! My Thursday was spent over at Sue’s working on Etsy stuff. We stopped by Scrap-A-Latte to see Renee and then we went over to Red Robin for some lunch. They really do have great burgers and their fries are delicious! On the way home we stopped at Aldi so I could get some more coffee. Around 5:30 I started to make my way back to my house. I did go to my parent’s to have dinner with Erika and Daniel. He needed to watch his shows on the iPad like he always does when he eats so I put that on for him! I got a nice big hug and kiss when I was leaving. A quick stop at my house to let Winston out and then it was off to Heather’s for Thirsty Thursday. Just her and I last night, we ran out to Marshall’s and Target and laughed ourselves silly in the car on the way home. There was a lot more laughter, Heather wanted to see what I looked like with curly hair now that it’s quite long on top so she curled it and I actually liked it! As I was pulling into the driveway it started to snow, they say it will be the last of the season, fingers crossed!

Today I’m over on the Fab Friday blog for our color challenge…

Fab Fri 82 3-04-2016

As soon as I saw these colors I thought of peeps! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with a piece of Pool Party covering the entire front. Along the bottom is a piece of Mint Macaroon, I used the Lawn Fawn Grassy Borders Lawn Cut along the top and stamped my greeting in Onyx Black from the Simon Says Stamp My Kind of Peep Photopolymer Stamp Set. The peeps are cut out from Blushing Bride using the Coordinating My Kind of Peep Dies, I used another stamp from the set to stamp the eyes. The sky needed some clouds so I used the Reverse Confetti Sun and Clouds Confetti Cuts with Solar White 80lb. I adhered the grass, two of the peeps and one of the clouds with Foam Tape and the rest of the pieces are adhered with E-Z Runner. For a bit of sparkle I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Ballerina Pink and Sparkling Clear Sequins. I love the soft pastel colors and the fun peeps along with the sentiment is just too cute! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for the Fab Friday Color Challenge! Take a minute to stop by the blog and check out the rest of the Team’s cards! Enter yours in the gallery so we can see what you do with them! Thank you for spending some of your Friday with me! Have a fabulous Friday peeps! 🙂

Paper Craft Crew 184

What’s up peeps? How is your week progressing? Mine… can’t complain! I had a nice day at Scrap-A-Latte yesterday. Yesterday was also my dad’s birthday so I made him a fun and simple card using some patterned paper while I was there! I even used the Envelope Punch Board to make the envelope, the card was 5×7, which I think is a first for me! When I got home I started to craft for a bit and then Heather called so I ran over to see her and then did a little more crafting when I got home before calling it a night! Here is the card that I made for my dad, very simple but it definitely describes him!

Dad B'day 2016

I used a bunch of different papers from the PhotoPlay This Guy 12×12 Paper Collection. Isn’t it great when you can make a card with just patterned paper?!

Now on to today’s post! It’s time for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge

PCCCS184 DT Sketch 3-02-3026

I used some Lawn Fawn… again! I’m really obsessed with their latest release, especially the Lovable Legends set! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. Down the right is a strip of paper from the Lawn Fawn Perfectly Plaid Petite Paper Pad. I used the Lawn Fawn Stitched Circles to cut out a bunch of circles from Solar White 80lb and a piece of Vellum. On some of the circles I used the Lawn Fawn Ocean Waves Borders Lawn Cuts. I then added some Simon Says Stamp Surf Blue and Cloudy Sky ink to them with a Mini Ink Blending Tool. My images and greeting are all from the Lawn Fawn Lovable Legends Photopolymer Stamp Set. The Kraken and ship are stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored in with Copics. I adhered the Kraken in the waves with Foam Tape along with the ship. My greeting is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing powder on Vellum and then mounted to a piece of Basic Gray. Before I adhered all of the pieces to the card with Foam Tape I added two strips, one of Basic Gray and one of Smoky Slate, to lower right. Finally, I scattered some Pretty Pink Posh Charcoal and Marshmallow Sequins across the circles. I really do love that set and it looks so neat all colored in with Copics! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the blog and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thank you for taking some time out of your busy day to come and visit with me! Have a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂

Mojo Monday 437

Here we go again! The start of another week! It was a beautiful day here yesterday! We made it up into the 60’s! I crafted for a bit in the morning and then headed over to Brian and Kim’s to meet up with Heather. We took the kids and two cars and headed over to Roosevelt Field Mall to go dress shopping for the ladies. I think I set a new record, I had them both dressed in 30 minutes! LOL! From there we headed over to the food court, Heather, Brian and I had Japanese, Kim had a healthy wrap and the girls had Wendy’s. Heather and I also got smoothies and they were yummy! Once we were finished we went back to Brian and Kim’s, Brian and I ran out to Shop Rite quick to pick ups some things. We had some snacks and I had a hard root beer that was actually quite tasty. I crafted a bit more and then turned on the Oscars just in time to see Sam perform, and later to see his acceptance speech because he won!! The rest of it looked terrible so I turned it off. Today I’ll be running over to see Renee for a bit and working on some more projects!

The best thing about Monday’s… well, the Mojo Monday Sketch of course…

Mojo437

I have been having fun with the new Lawn Fawn release so I used some more on today’s card! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock cut to 4 1/4″ wide. My background is a piece of paper from the Lawn Fawn Perfectly Plaid Petite Paper Pad. Across the top portion is a piece of Watermelon Wonder. I used the Lawn Fawn Stitched Squares to cut out a piece of Island Indigo and then heat embossed the sentiment from the Lawn Fawn Year Six Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder. It’s adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. For my shaker circle I cut out a piece of Watermelon Wonder with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Circle Frames along with a piece of Fun Foam. The Lawn Fawn Stitched Circles are used to cut out a piece of Acetate and a piece of Solar White 80lb. On the back circle I heat embossed the bubbles from the Lovable Legends Photopolymer Stamp Set and then used a Mini Ink Blending Tool and Simon Says Stamp High Dive Ink to give it some color. I adhered all of the pieces together with Scor-Tape, adding some Sparkling Clear Flat Sequins before adhering the back. My Oyster is from the Year Six Set and is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored in with Copics. A piece of Foam Tape holds him on the shaker and the shaker is adhered to the card with E-Z Runner and Foam Tape. I love that Plaid Paper Pad and the little oyster with that greeting is so cute! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge! Stop by the blog and see what the rest of the Team has come up with to inspire you and add your card to the gallery! Thanks for staring your week off with me for your daily dose of creativity! Magical Fairy Postcard

Another wonderful day in Manhattan! I drove in and there was a lot more traffic on the way in that I thought there would be. I did look for a parking space but they are doing so much construction there are very few left to be had so I parked in the garage and walked the 24 blocks to see Diane and Jim. I love visiting with them, such amazing people! Jim had a new iPad Pro and the Apple Pencil, I want one!! After my little visit I headed downtown to The Ink Pad and hung out with Barbara and Abby. We had burgers and fries from the Corner Bistro Bar for lunch and they were delicious! I got back to the garage around 4:00 and headed out over the RFK Bridge which was really backed up. I hate when that happens because the bridge shakes and you can feel it while you are sitting in the car! It almost bounces! Not a fan at all. When I got home my parents were out so I retrieved Winston and went back over for a sandwich for dinner when they got home. While I was puttering around an idea for a card popped into my head so I sat down and put it together before it disappeared! That’s today’s card!

The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used a Mini Ink Blending Tool and some Simon Says Stamp Audrey Blue Ink to make the sky right on the card front. Across the bottom is a piece of Gumball Green that I cut out with the Lawn Fawn Meadow Borders Lawn Cuts. I cut out some tulips and a butterfly and colored them in with Copics. They are adhered with Foam Tape. The postcard, postage and cancelled stamp are from the Lawn Fawn You’ve Got Mail Photopolymer Stamp Set, I colored them in with Copics and then used the new Coordinating Lawn Cuts to cut them out. My fairies are from the Lawn Fawn Fairy Friends Photopolymer Stamp Set, they too are colored in with Copics and cut out with the Coordinating Lawn Cuts. I adhered the fairies with E-Z Runner and the PostCard with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. A few Pretty Pink Posh Amethyst, Orchid, Pansy Purple, Pink Blush and Marigold Sequins are scattered about and I added some Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush Pen to the fairies wings! I love the way the little scene came out and the greeting is just plain fun! I hope that you like my card for today! Thank you so much for continuing to stop by and visit me! I really appreciate it! Have a magical Sunday! 🙂

Peeps Sugar Shaker

Well, it was a little cold here yesterday but nice and sunny! Today we are supposed to get up into the high 40’s and tomorrow we should make it into the 50’s! I spent most of the day crafting. In the afternoon I had to run to Michaels and pick up some felt for a project and Taylor was working so I waited for her to get off work and her mum came up to meet her too. I stood and talked to Leigh for a while, we haven’t seen each other since the summer. After that I came back home and FaceTimed with Andrea and finished some projects. Heather stopped by and picked me up around 4:45 and we ran to BJ’s and Target. When she dropped me off I had dinner and then I watched Pink’s The Truth About Love concert on MTV2. I would like to fly around the audience like she does! LOL! This morning I’m off to Manhattan to visit my friends Jim and Diane. After that I’m going to go down to The Ink Pad to drop off my Hero Arts cards and see Barbara for a little bit before I head back home.

I got my Simon Says Stamp Monthly Card kit the other day and a card popped into my head so that’s what I have to share with you today. My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used my MISTI to stamp the background with the Simon Says Stamp Diagonal Stripes Background Stamp in Lake Shores. To make my frame I used the Lawn Fawn Stitched and 4 Bar Stitched Rectangles to cut out another piece of Solar White 110lb, Acetate and a piece of Solar White 80lb. The Acetate is adhered to the frame with Scor-Tape and then I added a layer of Foam Tape to the back of the frame. My Peeps are from the Simon Says Stamp My Kind of Peep Photopolymer Stamp Set and are stamped also with the MISTI in Simon Says Stamp Teeny Bikini, Mint Candy and Duckling. I used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out. I tried a few different ways to add some “sugar” to them and wasn’t happy with any. You can see them here:

Sugared Peeps Fail

The middle one was the best but the clear glitter was still a bit too big. Instead I added the glitter to the shaker. I adhered the Peeps to the backing piece with E-Z Runner, filling in their eyes with a Black Gel Pen, and then added the glitter to the framed piece and adhered the two together. The greeting is from the same set and is stamped in Onyx Black and added to the acetate with Foam Tape. Finally the shaker is adhered to the card with more E-Z Runner and the card is done. I wanted it to look like a box of Peeps and I guess that all of the sugar has fallen off of them?! LOL! I hope that you like my card for today! Thank you, as always, for taking some time to come by and check in! Have a stupendous Saturday! 🙂

SIP Challenge 36 – Card Maker’s Choice!

What a nice day at Scrap-A-Latte! I FaceTimed with Andrea and I got to meet some new people that came in to buy stuff, sold a lot of Lawn Fawn yesterday and I got my sets to start making the cards for next month’s class! Speaking of next month’s class, I’m pondering an idea of how I can bring the class to you! I’ll let you know when I have more info! I also started working on my card for today while I was there. After I locked up the store I stopped by Aldi, it’s a new supermarket that we have here, they also have them in England! I got some K-Cups for $4.29 for 12 and Italian Sweet Cream Coffee Creamer for $2.19! Not too bad! When I got back home I watched a little TV and then sat down to finish putting my card together for today!

The card that I worked on yesterday is for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge

SIP Challenge 36 - Card Maker's Choice 800

I used one of the new Lawn Fawn sets to make today’s card! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. For the background I cut out two pieces of Tim Holtz Watercolor Card with the Lawn Fawn Large Stitched Rectangles. On the one I used Stormy Sky and Hickory Smoke Distress Ink. The other one I used to cut out the waves with the Lawn Fawn Ocean Wave Borders and the clouds with the Lawn Fawn Puffy Cloud Borders. On the waves I used Blueprint Sketch and Chipped Sapphire Distress Ink. I then took the background and the waves and spritzed them with some water, let it sit for about 30 seconds and then blotted it off with a paper towel. Before adhering the waves and clouds to the card with Foam Tape I heat embossed the greeting from the Lawn Fawn Lovable Legends Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder. The Loch Ness Monster is from the same set and is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored in with Copics, some Multi-Matte Medium adheres him to the card. You know that sequins make everything better so I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear ones on the waves! I love the Loch Ness and I think he’s too cute to call a monster in this case! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! Make sure and check out the rest of the Team’s cards over on the BLOG and we hope to see one from you in the gallery! Thank you for coming by today! Have a creative Tuesday! 🙂

SIP Challenge 35 – A Sketch!

Hello peeps! I hope that you had a nice start to your week! It snowed here for most of the day and then rained making a nice slushy mess! It is much warmer so that’s good! I went over to see Heather around 1:30 and we ran to Felico’s so that she could drop off some stuff from a party that she worked on Saturday. From there we stopped at Target and then back to her house for little bit before I headed home for dinner. Around 6:00 Danielle came by and we went to Michaels to get her some of her own crafty supplies for card class. After that we went to 5 Guys so that she could get dinner. They have really good fries! We came back to my house and watched some of the Grammy’s and then spent some time on YouTube. Love seeing Danielle, I miss seeing her every day! Today I have to go over to see Renee, I never made it there yesterday because of the weather.

Tuesday and that means that it’s time for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! This week we have a sketch from Lisa…

SIP Sketch Challenge 35 800

I decided that it was high time that I used a set from Lawn Fawn that I got a while ago! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangles to cut out a piece of Real Red for my background and adhered it to the card with Fun Foam and SNAIL. The frame is cut from some Black 110lb with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Squares along with a piece of Acetate. I adhered the acetate to the back of the frame and then added some Foam Tape. All of the images and greeting are from the Lawn Fawn Milk and Cookies Photopolymer Stamp Set. I colored in the cookies, jar, glass and straw with my Copics. Some Simon Says Stamp Clear Fine Detail Embossing Powder is added to the cookie jar and glass with my Versa-Marker. I heat embossed the greeting on a strip of Black 110lb with Hero Arts White Embossing Powder. The cookies and some Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Flat Sequins are added to the card and then the frame is adhered over the top. The rest of the pieces are adhered with Foam Tape. I really think that the cookies are cute and I love the clear embossing powder added to the jar and glass, it dries much faster than Glossy Accents! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG to see the rest of the Team’s cards and let’s see yours in the gallery! Thank you for coming by today! I wish you a terrific Tuesday! 🙂

Happy Valentine’s Day!

HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY! Well, it was 0 degrees here this morning at 6:00am and that was without the wind chill which took it down to -10! Can we say frozen tundra?! I had to run out last night and my car was like… why! LOL! I did get a lot of crafty time in yesterday which was good, it was nice and warm in the house. Last night my friend Louis stopped by and we chatted for a bit and then he asked if he could make a card! I told him only if I got to share it on the blog today so here it is…

Louis V'day Card

I said that it was pretty good for a first attempt! A shaker no less, he said that I was just a really good teacher! I told him that he needs to come to card class now! We’ll see!

Today I have a fun Valentine’s Day card, the last one for this year. My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The front is a piece of Real Red that I cut out with the Lawn Fawn Large Stitched Rectangles and then used the Simon Says Stamp Tiny Spaced Hearts Stencil and a little Wendy Vecchi Metallic Gold Embossing Paste (I’m liking that lately, aren’t I?!). I masked off the stitched edges and the lower half with Blue Painter’s Tape. Across the bottom is a piece of My Mind’s Eye Gold Vellum from the Christmas on Market Street Collection. I used the Lawn Fawn Stitched Borders on a piece of Black 110lb and adhered that across the top of the Vellum. My heart is cut from some more Black 110lb twice with the Simon Says Stamp Sketch Heart Craft Die and adhered together with Elmer’s Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. To raise it up a bit I used Kool-Tak Clear Foam Adhesive to hold it on the card. Finally I die cut some Gold Foil Sheet and more Black 110lb with the Simon Says Stamp Small Love You Craft Die and used more Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive to adhered them together and to the card. I do love the gold embossing paste and that Sketch Heart is still awesome! I hope that you enjoyed mine and Louis’ cards for today! Thank you so much for visiting and have a love filled Sunday with your Valentine! 🙂
