SIP Challenge 127 – All Wrapped Up!

Hello friends! I had a nice day with my little Cali yesterday. She has been so good, almost too good to be true. I took her over to Andrew’s Parent’s house to see his Mum and Dad. Then Andrew came over by me for a bit, he loves Cali! LOL! She is such a mush and goes to anyone. Taylor stopped by with her friend Jess and she was quite fond of the little miss too! I’m going to go into Manhattan today and Taylor is going to watch her for a little bit for me. I feel so bad that she will be home alone for a few hours but what can you do?! I think I’ll get a little carrier for her so that I can take her on city trips with me! 😀

It Tuesday and time for new challenge over on the Stamp, Ink, Paper blog…

I went with some tags, surprise! LOL! To create them I used the Concord & 9th Sprinkles Tag Dies to cut out three tags from Desert Storm 80lb. For my images I used the Concord & 9th Beautiful Branches Photopolymer Stamp Set. The branches are stamped in Doe and the leaves in Yeti Pigment Ink. Because I’m impatient I used my Heat Tool to speed up the white ink drying. Next I stamped the sentiment from the Concord & 9th O Christmas Tree Photopolymer Stamp Set in Noble Fir over the images on the tags. In the top of the tags I punched a hole and tied some Natural Twine through. Just a few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins and they are complete! I do love to make tags, these will go nicely with a prezzie wrapped in kraft paper! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp , Ink, Paper All Wrapped Up Challenge! We hope that you will stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of Team’s projects and that you will share yours with us in the gallery! Thanks for coming by today! Have a terrific Tuesday! 🙂

Paper Players 372

Happy last week of November?! Where on earth did this year go?!?! I hope that you all had a nice weekend and that if you shopped on Black Friday that you came out of it unscathed and with some great bargains! My weekend was not what I expected at all! Friday I was over Jim’s all day. We decorated his house for Christmas. He put up four trees!! Three full size ones and a small one. The house looks amazing, it’s just enough and so festive! On Saturday we decided that we would go over to an animal shelter in Freeport. I met him there and we looked at two dogs. The second one, a little Yorkie, was so cute. She was very friendly and we liked her a lot. Before I knew it we were bringing the owner back to my house for a home visit. In the car on the way back she called and told them to get the paperwork together. When we got back to the shelter Jim paid the fee for her and said Merry Christmas! So I’m happy to share a picture of the newest addition to my family, Cali…

Isn’t she just the cutest?! She is really good in the car and seems to have adjusted well to my house. I have taken her all over with me and she has been good as gold. I’m going to take her over to Jim’s to meet his dogs this week. I miss my Winston so much but I think he would have liked her a lot and would be happy that I get to share my time with her now! 😀

Let’s start the week off with a card for this week’s Paper Players challenge…

I finally received my November release from Concord & 9th after the Post Office had lost it for a week! I always end up using the set that I thought I wouldn’t first too! LOL! I stamped the bear from the Concord & 9th Hi There Bear Photopolymer Stamp Set in Black Licorice using my Mini MISTI. I added the piece that makes him a panda and put a little Black Glaze Pen on his eyes. The background is stamped in Jalapeño and cut it out with my Scissors. I stamped the balloon in Black Licorice and Sugarplum and the string is stamped on the background. The bear and ballon are cut out with the Coordinating Dies. On a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock I stamped the distressed line from the Concord & 9th Bits & Pieces Photopolymer Stamp Set in Black Licorice. The background is adhered with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner and the bear and balloon with 3M Foam Tape. My greeting is from the Hi There Bear Set and is stamped in Black Licorice. I trimmed it out and added it to the card with more 3M Foam Tape. A few dots of Sugarplum added with my Stylus finishes the card! Isn’t that bear just too cute?! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Players Challenge! Thanks for sharing your Monday with me! Enjoy the rest of your day! 🙂

Paper Craft Crew 269

Happy pre-turkey day! I had a nice time in Manhattan yesterday visiting with Anna and Jane at The Ink Pad! I love that store!! So much fun stuff and I was really good and didn’t get anything, although that was really hard! LOL! Last night I went over to Jim’s and we worked on a few projects in the garage and then went out to grab some dinner at the diner. This morning I had a few phone calls to make before I get started on a whole bunch of errands. It’s going to be a busy day! 😀

Today’s card is for this week’s Paper Craft Crew challenge…

I do love a vintage looking card but I’m not really great at making them, anyhow, this is what I came up with. The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. For the background I used a piece of paper from the DCWV Maps, Text & Ledgers 8×8 Paper Pad and adhered that to a piece of Desert Storm 80lb. My pine branches and berries are from the Essential by Ellen Poinsettia & Pine Die Set and are cut from Classic Cherry and Noble Fir. I adhered them to card with E-Z Runner. The joy is from the Essentials by Ellen Holiday Words Die Set and is cut from Silver Glitter Card. To add that to the card I used 3M Foam Tape. It needed just a little more sparkle so I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Rose Gold Sequins. Not super vintage but that paper definitely helps! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and share your with us by entering it in the gallery! Thanks for stoping by! Have a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂

Freshly Made Sketches 313

Another busy day, I need them! I had a bunch of stuff to get through in the morning. Picked up Dad from dropping off his car at Ford yet again. Stephanie came by for a little bit, always nice to get a little visit in the middle of the day! I ran to the supermarket to pick up some stuff for dinner. Jim came by after work and we ran to Old Navy so he could get a little Christmas shopping done. We came back to my house and I made dinner and then we finished the evening with a little TV. I”l be over at Jim’s today so that they can come and install the new door on the side of the house. I’m going to get all caught up on my blog comments while I’m there!! 😀

I actually did a little FaceTime crafting with Andrea and made my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge…

The first thing that I did was to stamp the ornaments from the Sunny Studio Holiday Style Photopolymer Stamp Set in Sugarplum using my Mini MISTI. The second layer is stamped in Versa-Mark and heat embossed with Hero Arts Clear Embossing Powder. My ornament tops are heat embossed in Hero Arts Silver Embossing Powder. I used the Coordinating Dies to cut the ornaments and tops out and set them aside. Onto my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock I stamped the pine branches from the same set in Noble Fir and Jalapeño in the upper left and lower right corners. Back into the MISTI to stamp the greeting in Sugarplum. Next the ornaments are adhered with 3M Foam Tape and a few Pretty Pink Posh Amethyst and Silver Sequins complete the card! I’m loving the Holiday Style Set! Definitely will get a lot of use this year! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches Challenge! Thank you for stopping by! Have a great Thursday! 🙂

Paper Craft Crew 268

Wednesday already! This week is on the fast track. What I thought was going to be a nice quiet morning yesterday was anything but. I spoke to Andrea in the morning and found out that one of her horses had passed away. Then my Mum needed me to help her with some things. Next up was a letter that I had to write for the event on Sunday to see if we could get some footage of an interview. Busy, but I like it that way! Taylor came by last night and we had Wendy’s for dinner after she left I got a text from Kim that her cat Haligan was hit by a car. Not a good week for pets at all. With Winston that makes three so we should be good for a while. I’m going to spend a little time in the Stampin’ Galley doing some more purging this morning, I had so much fun last time! 😀

Today I have my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew to share with you…

My card started out with me stamping the Concord & 9th Plaid Background Photopolymer Stamp in Black Licorice onto piece of Classic Cherry using my Mini MISTI. I trimmed it down and then stamped the stripes in Delicata Golden Glitz Pigment Ink. The fun wood heart is from the Concord & 9th Cozy Up Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Black Licorice onto some Desert Storm 80lb. I used the Coordinating Die to cut it out. My greeting is also from the Cozy Up Set and is heat embossed in WOW! Rich Pale Gold Embossing Powder. I adhered the background to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and the heart to complete the card. I love that black and red plaid background with the gold pigment ink stripes! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG for some more inspiration and let’s see your card in the gallery! Thank you for coming by today! Have a wondrous Wednesday! 🙂

Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th – Christmas!

Hi all! Not as dreary here yesterday but still crisp! I had a very nice productive day with Sue! We got stuff done and went out and had a nice lunch! I got home around 3:30 and Jim came by after work. We grabbed some Italian for dinner and watched a little TV. We are all done with Ozark and will be starting season 2 of Stranger Things soon! Hope it’s as good as the first one! This morning I’m off to Manhattan to see my friends Jon and Mary. Oh how I love my little trips into the city! 😀

It’s that time again! A new challenge over on the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th blog starts today…

Another chance to make a simple easily duplicated Holiday card and this one is definitely that! Onto my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock I stamped the trees from the Concord & 9th O Christmas Tree Photopolymer Stamp Set in Noble Fir, Jalapeño and Freshly Cut Grass along the bottom. The greeting is stamped in Noble Fir and I used my Gold Signo Gel Pen to add a little “snow”! I actually did make a few while I had the supplies out, good to make a dent in the stack of Holiday cards! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this month’s Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Christmas Challenge! Paper Players 369

A very good Monday to you all! I hope that you enjoyed the rest of your weekend! I had a nice Sunday despite the gloomy weather which has continued today. Some cleaning was done in the morning and then a few errands. I finished off the day by heading over to Jim’s and finishing up a few projects, we hung the TV on the wall and I set up a new router to make the internet a little better and much faster! This morning I have a lot of stuff to get done for the Fundraiser this Sunday. The weather definitely makes it a good day to sit in front of the computer! 😀

To start off the week I have my card for this week’s Paper Players challenge to share with you…

I have had the Sunny Studios Holiday Style Photopolymer Stamp Set since last year and I never had the chance to use it so I decided that it was high time that it saw some ink! I started by stamping the bells in Hippo and Black Licorice for the first two layers using my Mini MISTI. For the third layer I heat embossed them with Hero Arts Platinum Embossing Powder and then used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out. Onto my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock I stamped the greeting in Black Licorice and the pine branches in Noble Fir, Jalapeño and Freshly Cut Grass. The bells are adhered to the card and the hooks are stamped in Black Licorice and that completes the card! I do love a layering set and this one is definitely going to be a favorite! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Players Challenge! Thanks so much for staring another week off with me! Enjoy your Monday! 🙂

Simple Pine Merry & Bright – Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th!

Surprise! I haven’t done a weekend post in a few weeks! But it’s time for my Solo Post over on the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Blog! We featured a Shades of Concord & 9th Challenge for last month so I made a super simple Holiday card using teals and green!

The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I stamped the Merry & Bright from the Concord & 9th Ornamental Photopolymer Stamp Set in Peacock and then stamped the pine branches in Jalapeño around it. To add my little dots I used a stylus with Peacock and Merman Ink. I felt it needed a little something more so I added some more dots with my Silver Signo Gel Pen. Super simple Holiday card that’s easy to make and you could change up the colors to suit whatever your favorites are!

I hope that you like the card for my November Solo Post for the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Blog! You can also see this post over on the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Blog! Freshly Made Sketches 311

Happy Friday! What a nice day it was yesterday! Sunny and warm! Manhattan was great, I had a nice visit with Diane and then went up to the Isabel O’Neil Studio to help out Beth with a few things. Kim and I went to Schnipper’s for lunch and had some pretty good burgers. I also walked everywhere about 65 blocks! Last night we had another meeting for the fundraiser next week and then Jim and I grabbed a quick dinner and I came home. I got a haircut this morning and now I going to call my friend Greg. Shaping up to be a pretty good Friday! 😀

I did manage to squeeze in a card this morning and it’s for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge…

I grabbed my Concord & 9th Christmas Cheer Turnabout Photopolymer Stamp Set and my MISTI to stamp a panel with Black Licorice. I adhered it to a piece of Black 110lb and then adhered that to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. Another piece of Black 110lb is embossed with the We R Memory Keepers Wave Next Level Embossing Folder and adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. My greeting is stamped in Black Licorice onto a piece of Solar White 110lb that I cut out with the Concord & 9th Ribbon Banner Die. That is adhered to the card with 3D Foam Squares and the card is done! Simple black and white makes for an elegant Christmas card, don’t you agree?! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge! Thanks for coming by! Have a fantastic Friday! 🙂

WOW! It’s cold here this morning! In the 30’s… way too cold for me! I had a pretty productive day yesterday, got to speak to my friend Greg in Indiana for a bit. Always good to catch up with him! I also got a bunch of laundry done and around 9:00 last night I realized that it was Halloween! I guess we didn’t have very many trick-or-treaters. This morning we will figure out where the horrible smell of gasoline is coming from in my apartment. I think something leaked in the garage, not pleasant. I keep having to run outside and it’s too cold for that now! LOL! 😀

Mid-week and time for a new challenge over on the Paper Craft Crew blog…

Today’s card was started by stamping the Concord & 9th Blooms Fill-In Photopolymer Stamp Set, I used Minty Fresh for the background and then filled in the images with Lobster, Cranberry, Sunflower and Noble Fir. The Coordinating Die cuts out one of the flower clusters, I saved what was left to use on a future project. Next up I used the squished hexagon Die from the Concord & 9th Blooms Fill-In Dies to cut out a piece of Desert Storm 80lb. My greeting is from the Concord & 9th Christmas Cheer Turnabout Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Noble Fir. To my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock I added a strip of Chili Pepper across the lower half and then adhered my hexagon and flower cluster with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. I used another one of the Dies to cut out a piece of Noble Fir and tucked the little leaves under my hexagon. For something a little different I added a few Theresa Collins Santa’s List Enamel Dots to finish the card. I do love that Blooms Fill-In Stamp! It’s such a neat idea! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! There is more to see over on the BLOG so be sure and stop by! Thank you for coning by to see me today! Have a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂
