Now for today’s card, it’s a nice simple Valentine’s Day Card. I used Soft Suede, Calypso Coral and Whisper White Card Stock. I stamped the Candy Conversations Wood Mount Stamp in Calypso Coral on Whisper White and used the 3/16″ Corner Rounder. It was then mounted on a piece of Calypso Coral Card Stock. A piece of Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper (Sale-A-Bration – FREE with a $50 purchase) that was ran through the Big Shot using the Adorning Accents Edgelits to create the backdrop. The Soft Suede Card Base was ran through the Big Shot with the Adorning Accents Textured Impressions Embossing Folder that coordinates with the edge from the Edgelit. Some Crystal Effects was used on the stamped hearts in the image for a great shiny 3D effect. The longest part of making this card was waiting for the Crystal Effects to dry, but that gave me time to make more! I hope you liked today’s card and thank you as always for stopping by!

PPA117 – CAS Element of Style – Ribbon

This weeks Pals Paper Arts Challenge is to use some ribbon. I’m not a huge fan of ribbon. I have some but I only usually use it as an accent border. I do however really like 3D projects! I recently came across a new web site, Inking Idaho ( Becky has some great 3D projects and she offers up the Twelve Days of Christmas for you to download for $12.95. It features 12 great projects and instructions on how to make all of them. I made the candy bar gift card holder in Old Olive and used some Letters to Santa Designer Series Paper. I made a few modifications to the top but for the most part it’s exactly as Becky made hers. A piece of Whisper White 5/8 inch Satin Ribbon wrapped around the holder completes the project. Thanks for stopping by and have a great night!

Digital Scrapbooking Day.

Stampin’ Up! is celebrating Digital Scrapbooking Day with Free downloads on November 4th to the 7th. I recently got My Digital Studio and have been playing around with it for a bit and I really like it. I use it mostly for hybrid projects (a combination of digital printouts and traditional paper crafting elements). If you have My Digital Studio be sure to mark you calendars and head on over in November to get your free brand new content. If you don’t have it maybe now is the time to look into it. It’s a great addition to any paper crafters tools!

Frostwood Thanks Hybrid

I have been playing around with Stampin’ Up!s My Digital Studio a lot over the past few day. I like the instant delivery! I’m a big fan of instant gratification! I made this card using a Designer Series Paper from the Frostwood Lodge DSP Digital Download. I like the wood pattern, it definitely gives the card a lodge feel. I also used the Define Your Life Stamp Brush Set. I would rather have the stamps but they were retired a while ago. The butterflies and thanks are from the Kindness Matters Clear Mount Set. The card definitely had a masculine theme to it which seems to be a trend with me lately! Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

Plaid Christmas

I have been playing withStampin’ Up!’s My Digital Studio for a few days now and I am really liking it. I like the idea of having Designer Series Paper ready to print at a moments notice. The colors are very close to the original, not perfect but close. I wanted to do another non-traditional Christmas card using some Marina Mist. I always love to use my Owl Builder Punch so I threw him in there too. I love the colors and can’t wait to play around a little more. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
