Dreaming Sheep

Happy Friday!! It’s a little on the crisp side here this morning but that’s ok, wakes you up! I started work on the cabinets yesterday after spending the morning with Heather. I found that using the heat gun to remove the paint worked pretty well. I also found that getting the doors off was harder than stripping the paint! The screws are painted over, not fun! I finished off the evening with a nice Thirsty Thursday and helped George with some computer stuff before coming home. And just so you know after a year my friend Sam Smith has released a new single! Go and have a listen, it’s great! 😀

My card for today is really simple! I was looking at the August 2017 My Monthly Hero Kit and spotted a sheep in the set that I hadn’t seen before! I stamped the sheep three times in Hero Arts Black Ink onto some Solar White 110lb and cut them out with the Coordinating Die. Onto a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb I stamped my greeting and then added the sheep around it with 3D Foam Squares. A sprinkling of Pretty Pink Posh Sequins and the card is done! Like I said super simple but a nice way to let someone that you love know that you are thinking of them! I hope that you like today’s card! Thanks for stopping by and have yourselves a fun filled Friday! 🙂

Paper Craft Crew 258… Again! & Etsy!

Hello my friends! I finished taking down the wallpaper border in the kitchen yesterday. Stephanie stopped by and dropped off some heavy duty remover for the stubborn glue that wouldn’t come off and she hung out for a bit. I would like it if someone would be kind enough to send some paint stripping gnomes to help get the paint off of the cabinets! There are probably about 5 layers on there, not going to be a fun process at all! It’s supposed to rain today so I probably won’t get to start it until tomorrow, gives me time to mentally prepare myself! LOL! 😀

I promised a few weeks ago that I would let you know when all of my purge goodies were up on my friend’s Etsy Store and today is the day! There are over 150 new sets, some brand new and some gently used all up to 50% off retail! Head on over by clicking HERE and check everything out!

So last week I inadvertently posted my card for the Paper Craft Crew challenge and it wasn’t really supposed to go up until this week. I made a new card so you get a twofer! Here is the sketch once again…

I used the May 2017 My Monthly Hero Kit to create today’s card! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My background is a piece of Pool Party, on the bottom portion I used the Stencil from the Kit and some Tide Pool Ink with a Mini Ink Blending Tool. Across the panel is a piece of Calypso Coral that is flagged on the right along with some coral cut out using a Die from the Kit. The images are stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and I colored them in with my Copics and then used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out. They are adhered wth 3D Foam Squares to a piece of 65lb Vellum that is cut out with the Hero Arts Infinity Circles Dies and that is then adhered to the background. I stamped the greeting from the Kit and then adhered to the panel to the card with E-Z Runner and Fun Foam. A few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins complete the card! I do think that the mermaid and the stencil are quite fun, don’t you?! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for the Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thanks for visiting today! Have a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂

Grateful Pinecone Wreath

Good morning my peeps! Hope everyone had an amazing day yesterday along with me! My apartment is finally the way I wanted when I set out on this mission, beautiful and spacious! LOL! Who knew a little purging could make such a big difference?! I spent a little time outside yesterday too, having some coffee and reading the news in the beautiful weather! No more rain here today! I went out and got some shelves to finish up a few last minute organization projects, and I think they’re going to work perfectly! I just have to find a little more time to stain them! I also want to let you guys know that this weekend I will be out of town. I’m taking a little last minute trip up to Pennsylvania to spend some time with Jim at his cabin and enjoy the lake! There will be no post on Saturday or Sunday, but I will return to my regular posting on Monday! 😀

Lets jump into the card! For my base I used my trusty Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. To create the background, I stamped the Hero Arts Designer Woodgrain Background Stamp onto a piece of Desert Storm and attached it with the E-Z Runner to the card base. I then ink blended the die cuts from the Hero Arts September 2016 My Monthly Hero Kit and clustered them together. They are attached the with a little Multi-Matte Medium and some 3D Foam Squares to give the smaller pieces a little dimension on the wreath that is die cut from some Chocolate Chip twice. Then, I took my Just Rust ink and stamped my “grateful” from the September My Monthly Hero Kit right onto the background paper. I hope you all enjoy my attempt to embrace the forthcoming cooler weather with this fall themed card! I hope that you enjoyed today’s card! I’ll be back tomorrow with a post for Concord & 9th! Enjoy your Thursday! 🙂

Stars Love Galaxy

I had an actual lazy Sunday! I stayed in bed late, didn’t really do much of anything but watch TV. Taylor came by for a little while after she got off of work. I did make a card for today and that was my day. Today I will be spending lots of time in front of the computer, my to-do list just keeps getting longer! 😀

I felt like doing a little ink blending yesterday and thats where this card started. I did that ink blending on a piece of Bristol Smooth Card Stock with Hero Arts Navy, Grape Juice and Charcoal Ink using my Mini Ink Blending Tool. It’s spattered with Heidi Swapp White and Tinsel Color Shine and dried with my Heat Tool. I used the Hero Arts Milky Way Fancy Die to cut out a piece of Shadow Curious Metallic Card Stock and as I was taking out the middle I thought that it would actually look pretty cool on the card instead of the outside. My sentiment is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto the die cut and adhered to the card with 3M Foam Tape. For some sparkly stars I added Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins and that finished the card. I actually do love the inside of the die cut galaxy. It looks like a swirly space oddity! I hope that you like today’s card! Thanks for starting another week off with me! Have an absolutely awesome Monday! 🙂

Fab Friday 119

It’s Friday already?! That was another quick week! I had a fun day with my friend Sue. We worked on Etsy stuff and went out to have some lunch. There was a little stop at Marshall’s before we headed back to her house to finish up a little more stuff before I headed home. Last night we had Thirsty Thursday at Heather’s. Stephanie was there and Taylor stopped by for a few. This morning, more things to cross off my to-do list! 😀

It’s a Fab Friday week and we have a fun sketch for you…

I got my August My Monthly Hero Kit and had to have a little play! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the front covered in a piece of Galvanized Curious Metallic. I used the large die from the Hero Arts My Monthly Hero Kit to cut out a piece of Black 110lb. The little boy on the moon is heat embossed in Hero Arts Sparkle Embossing Powder onto another piece of Black 110lb and cut out with the Coordinating Die. I adhered the large Black die cut to the card with Black 3D Foam Squares and the boy on the moon with E-Z Runner. My greeting is also from the set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts Black Sparkle Embossing Powder onto another piece of Galvanized Curious Metallic. I flagged the right side and used a few more Black 3D Foam Squares to adhere it to the card. For some more sparkle I added Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins! I love the August Hero Kit, so much fun! I hope that you like my Design Team card for the Fab Friday Sketch Challenge! Check out the rest of the Team’s cards over on the BLOG and let’s see your take on the sketch in the gallery! Thanks for stopping by this morning! I’ll be back on a little while with another post for you! Until then have a fabulous Friday morning! 🙂

SIP Challenge 112 – Travel!

Another fun filled Monday! LOL! I did get some things done and helped out a few friends in the morning too! We had an extra early Thirsty Thursday last night over at Heather’s! Stephanie was there and George joined us too! We always have such a good time laughing and catching up! This morning I have to get working on my to-do list for the week! I have been putting off way too much stuff! 😀

So it’s Tuesday and what does that mean?! Well, it’s time for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge

I’m always looking for a reason to use that Eiffel Tower Die from Hero and this seemed like the perfect opportunity! To start my card I die cut the Hero Arts PaperLayering Eiffel Tower from a piece of Gold Mirror Card. I used a die from the June 2016 My Monthly Hero Kit to cut out a plane from a piece of Silver Glitter Card Stock. They are positioned onto a piece of Black 110lb so that I knew where to heat emboss my sentiment, also from the Hero Arts June My Monthly Hero Kit, in Hero Arts Platinum Embossing Powder. The black panel is adhered to a piece of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and then the Eiffel Tower and plane are adhered with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. It needed a little more sparkle so I added Pretty Pink Posh Silver Sequins! I do really love that Eiffel Tower and the plane too! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thank you for stopping by today! Have an excellent Tuesday! 🙂

Quick Thank You X 2!

I’m still on lake time! What a nice weekend! Yesterday we went for a nice long walk in the morning and visited the falls. I’m having issues getting pictures uploaded so I’ll share more of them on Monday with you. We also wandered around a few antique stores and went for ice cream after dinner! I have to tell you that it’s very nice to type my post with that lovely view of the lake! 😀

Today I have two really simple thank you cards to share with you! The greetings and hearts are from the May 2016 My Monthly Hero Kit. I stamped them in Lime Green and Tide Pool, alternating the colors so that they had a bit more interest. To step them up a little bit I added some Pretty Pink Posh Sequins from the Share Kindness Mix, that’s it! Really simple cards but who wouldn’t want to get one in the mail?! I hope that you like today’s cards! Thanks for stopping by! Have an amazing Saturday! 🙂

Fab Friday 115

I’m a little late this morning because I’m on country time! After my fun morning in the city yesterday I took the train out to Rockville Center and Jim picked me up at the station. We stopped back at his house, picked up the bags and headed for Waymart, PA. It took us about 3 1/2 hours to get here but was well worth the ride! This is my current view this morning…

It so peaceful and relaxing here, I can see why Jim likes is so much. We went down by the lake for a bit and just sat there…

Last night we sat by the fire pit and just looked up at the stars, you forget how many there are because out here you can see them all! Today, who knows but I’m sure it will be fun! 😀

Now I have a little bit of craftiness to share with you in the way of my card for the Fab Friday sketch challenge…

I used the June My Monthly Hero Kit again! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the Hero Arts Nesting Postage Stamp Dies to cut out a piece of Hello Honey for my background. On top of that is a strip of Mossy Meadow with the ends flagged and then a really thin strip of Black. My images and greeting are from the June My Monthly Hero Kit and are stamped in Black onto a piece of Tangelo Twist and that is adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner Ultra. That’s it! A nice simple card and I love those solid images! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for the Fab Friday Sketch Challenge! Take a minute to visit the Team BLOG and see the rest of the cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thanks for sharing in some of my day! Have a fabulous Friday! 🙂

Paper Craft Crew 249

Wow! It’s Wednesday already?! We did have a very nice day here yesterday with lots of sun! I spent most of the day with Sue working on Etsy stuff. We went to Panera for lunch and I had my grilled cheese and tomato soup! In the evening Jim came by and I made us some nice big salads with grilled chicken, olives, avocado, tomatoes, cucumber, croutons and blue cheese dressing. Taylor came by and chatted with us for a bit and we finished the evening off with a few YouTube videos. Today I have a lot of stuff to get done! I found out that I will be away for the weekend! WEE! 😀

It’s Wednesday and that means it’s time for this week’s Paper Craft Crew challenge…

I was going through my stamps and came across this old but goodie! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the Hero Arts Wave Stencil and my Stencil Brush to apply some Tide Pool Ink to the lower left. Across the lower part is a piece of Copper Tape. My circle is cut from a piece of Blueprint Curious Metallic with the Hero Arts Circle Infinity Dies and adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. The images and greeting are from the Hero Arts July 2016 My Monthly Hero Kit. I stamped the coral and jellyfish in Tide Pool and did the second layer of the jellyfish in Copper Embossing Powder. They are cut out with the Coordinating Frame Cuts and adhered to the circle. My greeting is heat embossed onto a piece of 48lb Vellum with White Hero Arts Embossing Powder and adhered to the card with Kool-Tak Clear Foam Tape. Just a few Pretty Pink Posh Rose Gold Sequins and done! I still love that jellyfish, makes for a nice different image on a card! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a wondrous Wednesday! 🙂

Huge Thanks

Hey there! Happy Saturday to you! We had a rainy drizzly day here yesterday. I spent most of it in the house watching TV, it was just one of those kinds of days. I did go over and have dinner with my Parents and later on in the evening Taylor came by and we watched Dr. Strange. Today I’m off to Manhattan again this time to see my friend Kim! Should be a good day! 😀

My card that I have to share with you today uses the June My Monthly Hero Kit! I used my MISTI to repeatedly stamp some of the elephants in Wet Cement onto a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock along with a larger one onto a piece of Solar White 80lb. The single elephant is cut out with the Coordinating Die. I stamped the grass along the bottom to even out the card. The sunset die is used to cut out a piece of Orange Vellum and I heat embossed my greeting in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder in the upper left. The large elephant is adhered to the Vellum with 3M Foam Tape and then the vellum to the card with Vellum Adhesive. I love the outlines of all of the elephants, especially the big one in front of the sunset! I hope that you enjoyed today’s card! Thank you for visiting! Have a super Saturday! 🙂
