Vintage Vogue Concord Bride

Happy Friday everyone! The weekend is just a few hours away! My good friend Angie from Blue Springs Missouri had her fist Workshop tonight and I attended it via FaceTime! You gotta love Apple and modern technology! 🙂 For today’s card I wanted to make a very feminine pretty birthday card. I used some Concord Crush for the base of the card. I took a piece of Very Vanilla and used the Vintage Vogue Stamp Set to make a background randomly stamped in Blushing Bride. I stamped some more images from the set in Concord Crush and cut out the flower image with my Paper Snips and used the Ticket Corner Punch on the F image. I stamped the Happiest Birthday from the Loving Thoughts Stamp Set (Occasions Mini) in Concord Crush and used the Ticket Corner Punch on that too. They are both mounted on Concord Crush Card Stock and all of the elements are adhered to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. For the perfect finishing touch I used a Twitterpated Designer Button in Blushing Bride on the cut out flower image. A-maze-ing Baja Birthday

Happy Wednesday morning to all of you! Its mid-week which means we are halfway there! For today’s card I finally used some items that I purchased from the Occasions Mini Catalog a while ago. The base of the card is Chocolate Chip. I took a piece of Baja Breeze Card Stock and stamped it with the Woodgrain Background Wood Mount Stamp in Chocolate Chip. The cool little Maze Game is backed with a stamp from the Totally Amazing Stamp Set also stamped in Chocolate Chip and is punched out with the 2 1/2″ Circle Punch. For a little more detail there is a piece of cheese in the middle that was stamped in More Mustard. I used some Glue Dots and Tombo to adhere it to the card. I stamped the mouse image in Chocolate Chip and punched it out with the 3/4″ Circle Punch and backed it with a piece of Chocolate Chip punched out with the 1″ Circle Punch. The top greeting is from Happiest Birthday Wishes (Host(ess)) and the lower greeting is also from the Totally Amazing Stamp Set. I think the idea of a maze game on the front of a card is fun. Enchanted Label Fancy Fold

Good morning and happy Saturday! It’s the weekend so that means I get to spend some quality time with my stamps today! I have a bunch of cards to make and I’m looking forward to a nice creative afternoon. For today’s card I was looking around on Stampin’ Connection, one of the perks of being a Demonstrator, and I came across this tutorial for using the Framelits Labels Dies (Occasions Mini) in a new way. A Demonstrator by the name of Cristy Butzen posted the card. I changed the mechanics of the card a little to make it open a little differently. The base of the card is an 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ piece of Lucky Limeade Card Stock. I scored it at 2 1/8″ and 4 1/4″ with my Simply Scored. Using my Big Shot I put the card stock on the cutting plate and lined the Labels Collection Framelit on the center 2 1/8″ score line. Then I slid the other cutting plate into the Big Shot and lined the edge of it up with the 2 1/8″ score line and ran it through. Doing this only cuts out the piece that is under the cutting plate. It is then folded along the score lines and ready to embellish. I used Pool Party cut out with the same size label die and a piece of Very Vanilla cut out with one size smaller. I stamped the tea cup in Calypso Coral and markered the pansy in Calypso Coral and Lucky Limeade from the Tea Shoppe Stamp Set (Occasions Mini). The greeting is from the Curly Cute Stamp Set and is also stamped in Calypso Coral. I used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to line everything up. A piece of Calypso Coral Card Stock was punched along one side with the Scallop Edge Border Punch. To that I added two lengths of Calypso Coral 1/8″ Organdy Ribbon from the Everyday Enchantment Ribbon and Brad Pack (Sale-A-Bration). The stamped piece was adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Inside I used some of the Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper (Sale-A-Bration) and another Label cut out in Very Vanilla. I love the mechanics of the card and it makes for a nice change from the traditional. Thank you so much for taking some time out of your day to stop and have a look. Have a great Saturday!

Creative Mixed Parlor

Happy FRIDAY everyone! We are almost to the weekend! My friend Kim and I are taking my daughter to see Rent this Sunday. It’s my daughter’s favorite movie and I have never seen the play so it should be a good time! For today’s card I used my Parlor Prints Background Stamp again. The base of the card is Very Vanilla. I stamped a piece of Pool Party with Soft Suede Ink for my own Designer Series Paper. For the greeting I stamped an image from the Creative Elements Stamp Set in Soft Suede and cut it out with my Paper Snips. I punched a piece of Peach Parfait with the 1 3/4″ Scalloped Circle Punch. I then stamped a piece of Very Vanilla with another image from Creative Elements in Peach Parfait and then stamped the greeting in Soft Suede from the Elementary Elegance (Sale-A-Bration) Stamp Set and punched it out with the Curly Label Punch. The flower is from the Mixed Bunch Stamp Set (Occasions Mini) and is Soft Suede stamped on Peach Parfait then punched out with the Blossom Punch. I punched out some Very Vanilla with the 2 3/8″ Scalloped Circle Punch to put behind it and attached them together with a brad form the Everyday Enchantment Ribbon and Brad Pack (Sale-A-Bration). The greeting and the Flower are adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I like the vintage feel but slightly modern edge to the card. Thank you so much for stopping by today and have a great FRIDAY!

Paper Players #87

Good morning and welcome to Monday, brought to you today by the Paper Players Challenge #87…

This week featuring… buttons! I have quite a few buttons but I always for get to use them, thankfully this weeks challenge reminded me! I used three different stamp sets that all coordinate quite well together. The base of the card is Baja Breeze and to that I added a background of Soft Suede that I ran through the Big Shot with the Square Lattice Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. I used the Young Vermillion Wood Mount Stamp for the focal image of the card stamped in Soft Suede. The detail in the image is amazing, it’s definitely a favorite of mine. The strip along the bottom, also stamped in Soft Suede, is from the Fresh Vintage Stamp Set (Sale-A-Bration) and it also coordinates with the Tea Shoppe Set (Occasions Mini). I choose the greeting from the Happiest Birthday Wishes (Host(ess)) Stamp Set and they are backed with Baja Breeze. All of the stamped images are adhered to the card with Stampin Dimensionals. For the perfect finishing touch I added three buttons in Baja Blue from the Twitterpated Designer Buttons (Occasions Mini) and adhered them with Mini Glue Dots. Bright Blossoms Sneak Peek

Good morning and happy Saturday to you all. I’m going to take it easy today and relax a little. I feel like there aren’t enough hours in the day anymore! For today’s card I’m giving you a sneak peek at the Stamp Set, Bright Blossoms, from the Summer Smooches Collection that will be available as pare-order to customers April 1st to April 30th. It’s also one of the sets that will be in the new Idea Book & Catalog that will make it’s debut a month early on June 1st. This also means that the current catalog will finish a month early too. If there is anything that you want from the current catalog now is the time to get it. Sale-A-Bration also ends at the end of March. Now on to the card! I used a base of Lucky Limeade. I stamped the image in Lucky Limeade and Rich Razzleberry on Whisper White and mounted it on some Rich Razzleberry Card Stock. The strip of Rich Razzleberry is wrapped with Lucky Limeade Bakers Twine (Occasions Mini). A little trick is to use Stampin’ Dimensionals to keep the bakers twine from moving while you tie your bow. The image was also adhered to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. It a sweet little 3 x 3 card perfect for a gift or note. I hope you like the new set and I’ll have some more peeks tomorrow. Happy Birthday Leigh

Good morning everyone. It’s Thursday, only one more day to go! Today’s card is for my daughter’s mom Leigh. We have been friends for a very long time. She has since gotten married and has another beautiful little girl who’s Birthday is today. I’ll post her card tomorrow. I’m continuing with my Sale-A-Bration themed cards. I used some more of my favorite Designer Series Paper Everyday Enchantment (Sale-A-Bration). I used it as a background adhered to some Pool Party Card Stock for the card base. The flower is Poppy Parade punched out with the Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer Punch. The small circle of Peach Parfait in the middle is an eye from the Owl Builder Punch. I used the stamp from Fresh Vintage (Sale-A-Bration) for the image that matches with the DSP perfectly and cut it out with the Labels Collection Framelits Dies (Occasions Mini). The greeting is from Elementary Elegance (Sale-A-Bration) and is also cut out with the Labels Collection Framelits Dies (Occasions Mini). I sponged the edges of both labels with my sponge daubers in matching ink. Leigh loved the card and I hope you enjoyed it too. Mojo 231

Good morning and happy Wednesday! I like Wednesday’s because it means that we are half way through and that much closer to Friday! For this weeks Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge they provided us with this lovely sketch…

I wanted to use as much Sale-A-Bration as I could for this card. I love all of the products in the Sale-A-Bration Catalog but these three are my favorites! I started with a card base of Poppy Parade and to that I choose a background of Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper (sale-A-Bration). The Paper Doily Large Sizzlits Die (Occasions Mini) is a great product once you get the shims for your Big Shot correct. I use two of the plastic ones and then use my Paper Piercer to push the pieces through. I cut it in half and then punched out a piece of Very Vanilla with the 2 1/2″ Circle punch and cut that in half and placed it behind before adhering it to the DSP. I think it gives it a little more separation. The strip of Peach Parfait was flagged with the 1 3/8″ Square punch. It makes it so easy to add a flag to anything. Some Everyday Enchantment Brads from the Ribbon and Brad Pack (Sale-A-Bration) are placed along the bottom edge. I stamped an image from the Fresh Vintage Stamp Set (Sale-A-Bration) in Poppy Parade and backed it with some Calypso Coral and rounded the corners with the 3/16″ Corner Rounder. It’s mounted on some Stampin’ Dimensionals and the flower at the top I punched out with the Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer Punch and placed another brad in the middle and the adhered it with a glue dot. The piece of Pool Party 3/8″ Ruffled Ribbon is adhered with some Sticky Strip for extra staying power. To finish off the card I stamped the greeting from Teeny Tiny Wishes and punched it out with the Word Window Punch. I love playing along with Mojo each week and hope that you enjoyed today’s card. Enchanted Bitty Box & Envelopes

Good morning all. It was really cold here on Long Island last night. I was thankful for my electric blanket! Thursday is supposed to be 60 degrees, I can almost taste spring! For today’s post I made a tiny box filled with 4 cards and 4 envelopes. The Bitty Box and Envelope Bigz XL Die is one of my Stampin’ Up! favorites. The envelopes fit 2 x 2 note cards perfectly. If you enjoy making envelopes use this envelope size guide. This project would make a great gift, you could use the cards and envelopes for gift tags or just to hand to someone. The box is Peach Parfait Card Stock. The envelopes are Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper (Sale-A-Bration). A quick run through the Big Shot using the extended crease pad, a shim and the extended cutting plate and you have all of the main components cut out in no time. The cards were made using the 1 1/4″ Square punch. I stamped the images and sentiment from the Tea Shoppe Stamp Set (Occasions Mini) in Peach Parfait. They are adhered to Soft Suede Card Stock cut to 1 1/2″ square and mounted on a 2 x 2 card. I used the Word Window Punch and some leftover edge from the Stampin’ Dimensionals page to mount the greetings. On the top of the box I stamped another greeting from the Tea Shoppe set and punched that out with the 1 3/8″ Square Punch and backed that with Soft Suede and another piece of Everyday Enchantment DSP (Sale-A-Bration). The set could made with a variety of colors and stamp sets, just use your imagination! I hope that enjoyed today’s project and thanks so much for stopping by. Have a great Tuesday!

Melon Blossom Simple Birthday

A very good morning to you all and happy Wednesday! Only three more days people! Wee! For today’s card I made a simple colorful birthday card. This card would actually make a nice set in different coordinating colors given in a box, I think I might just do that. Anyway, I used some Melon Mambo, Lucky Limeade, Pretty In Pink and Whisper White Card Stock. The base of the card is Melon Mambo and on top of that I added a piece of Whisper White that I ran through the Big Shot using the Stripes Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. I punched out a piece of Melon Mambo with the Blossom Punch (Occasions Mini) and then a piece of Pretty In Pink with the Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer Punch. I threaded some White Bakers Twine through a Bitty Button and adhered it to the flower with a Mini Glue Dot. The 5 Petal Flower Punch works great for making leaves so I punched out some Lucky Limeade and then cut it into five sections and adhered two to the back of the flower. I used the Decorative Label Punch on some more Lucky Limeade for a back to the greeting from the Perfect Punches Stamp Set which I stamped in Melon Mambo. The pieces were then adhered to the card with Mini Glue Dots. The colors have a nice spring feel to them and I’m sure that someone would love to get this for their birthday!
