Paper Craft Crew 235

Well, guess what?! The weather men were thankfully wrong and we only got about 4 inches of snow and then it rained. The snow was really heavy to shovel as you can imagine, still better than the 18 inches that they said we were going to get! I’m sure that the ride to the Store will be fun, it certainly all froze overnight. I spent the day in the house yesterday watching TV and relaxing. I did make my card for today but that was about it. I’ll be glad to get out of the house today! 😀

The card that I made in the Stampin’ Galley is for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch…

I used the March My Monthly Hero Kit to make my card! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with a strip of Carta Bella Copper Dots Vellum 12×12 down the left side. I stamped my images from the March My Monthly Hero Kit in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored them in with Copics. The Coordinating Dies cut them out. I used a Craft Knife to be able to slide my carrots into the basket. The circle is a piece of Lawn Fawn Noble Fir cut out with the Hero Arts Infinity Circles Dies. I heat embossed the greeting in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder. A strip of Tip Top Taupe and a strip of Tangelo Twist are adhered across the card and then the circle is adhered with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. All that was left to do was to adhere my bunny and basket with some 3M Foam Tape and the card is done! Love that little rabbit and his basket of carrots, so cute! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thank you for coming by to visit today! Have a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂

Halfway though, almost there! I had an interesting day yesterday. My checking account got screwed up by citibank, they cashed someone else check in my account and were very unhelpful, in fact it may be the worst customer service experience I have ever had! But with a little help from Heather we got it straightened out. Glad that we had to do all of the work to figure out what went wrong. Thanks citibank, I’ll definitely recommend you to my friends… NOT! So that ended up consuming most of my day. I did manage to get a few cards made while I was at the Store. When I got home I had dinner and then went out for a while with Taylor. To end the evening I watched a movie and soaked my feet. Today will be a much better day!! 😀

Since it’s Wednesday that means we have a new Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge…

I actually managed to keep my card nice and simple! The base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the Lawn Fawn Starry Skies Lawn Cuts to cut out the starts from a piece of Black. My piece of paper across the top as well as the two flagged pieces are from the Lawn Fawn Watercolor Wishes Petite Paper Pad. I adhered the purple and light blue, tied a piece of Hemptique Black Hemp Cord in a blow and then adhered the other blue piece over that with 3D Foam Squares. After it was all together I adhered the piece to the card base. Next I heat embossed the one of the banners from the Lawn Fawn Bannertastic Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto a piece of Black and then added the greeting from the Lawn Fawn Out of This World Photopolymer Stamp Set, slightly bending the stamp to follow the curve of the banner. A little E-Z Runner holds that in place. I also stamped the rocket from the Out of This World Set in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored it in with my Copics. The Coordinating Dies are used to cut it out and a 3D Foam Squares holds it in place. A few Pretty Pink Posh Sea Breeze and Onyx Sequins and the card is done! I love the simplicity of the card and the colors! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thank you for coming by to see what I’ve been up to! Have a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂

Just another day at the Store, Renee had her All Occasion Card Class and I got to see some customers and chatted with lots of peeps! After work i went to see Heather. We split a chicken cutlet parmesan hero for dinner and watched Joy, well, the end of Joy. After that I came home and got Winston and settled in for a nice evening of TV. Sometimes I just need to be mindless and TV is the best escape! I need to mix it up a little, I think that I need a trip into the city soon! 😀

Today it’s Paper Craft Crew Challenge day! This week we have a Tic-Tac-Toe for you…

I started my card by stamping the images from the Hero Arts Color Layering Seahorse Photopolymer Stamp Set in Orange Soda, Soft Apricot, Butter Bar, Soft Vanilla, Wet Cement and Tide Pool and cut them out with the Coordinating Frame Cuts. To make my background I stamped the Hero Arts Designer Woodgrain Background Stamp in Soft Brown directly onto my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My file folder is created with the Pretty Pink Posh Stitched Tabs Die and a piece of Putty, I added a piece of Seam Binding Ribbon along the bottom and it’s adhered to the card with E-Z Runner. Next I die cut the Pretty Pink Posh Stitched Filmstrip Die from a piece of Tropical Sea and adhered it to the card with more E-Z Runner. The stamped images are then added with E-Z Runner and 3D Foam Squares. My greeting is from the Hero Arts Many Everyday Messages Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Soft Brown along the top edge of the filmstrip. Just a few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear and Marigold Sequins finish the card! Love the sea images against the woodgrain, you know me, I think that woodgrain goes with everything! LOL! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Tic-Tac-Toe challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and let’s see yours in the gallery! Thanks very much for your visit today! Have a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂

Happy Wednesday! The warm temps have subsided for a while, it’s not cold, just crisp! I managed to have another productive day at the Store. I made a few cards and caught up on some paperwork. My Parent’s bought Daniel up to see me for a bit. I was eating lunch when they got there so he helped me finish my Wendy’s Chicken Nuggets, his favorite! He wanted to take some selfies but he said that we had make funny faces…

Such a silly little boy, but I’m right there with him! LOL! After work I got to see him again and we played hide and seek which he thought was great fun! Today I think that Renee might be taking the day off so I’ll be getting ready for the Lawn Fawn order to arrive tomorrow! Can’t wait to get all of those goodies shipped out to you! 😀

If it’s Wednesday then it’s time for a new Paper Craft Crew challenge…

I played with the February My Monthly Hero Kit again to make my card for today! The base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I stamped the clouds in Memento Tuxedo Black and the rain in Soft Pool to make my background panel and that is adhered over a piece of Canvas Texture Sky with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. The single cloud, sun, star and rainbow are stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored in with Copics. I used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out and added some Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush Pen to them. My greeting is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto a piece of 48lb Vellum that I cut out with the Hero Arts Cloud Infinity Dies. I added the star, sun and rainbow to the Vellum cloud with 3D Foam Squares and then added more to the back to attach it to the card. I then added the single cloud with some more 3D Foam Squares and a few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins to finish it off! I love that MMH Set, so many neat and different images in it! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and let’s see yours in the gallery! Paper Craft Crew 231

Wow, Wednesday already?! I enjoyed my solo day at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store! I had a few people stop in and I made my card for today. I also FaceTimed with my Aunt and my cousin Tracey in England, oh and Andrea too! Today I have to get ready for Card Class and work on some things with Renee! After work I had dinner and then came home and watched Valentine’s Day, an appropriate movie! LOL! I hope that you all enjoyed your day with your special someone! 😀

The card that I made yesterday is for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Challenge

I started off my card by using my Mini MISTI to stamp the Hero Arts Color Layering Goldfish Photopolymer Stamp Set in Lemon Yellow and Orange Soda with the eye stamped in Black. To cut him out I used the Coordinating Frame Cuts. I then set about creating my background. To start I used my Mini Ink Blending Tool and some Mint Julep to add just a little color to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. Next I stamped the seaweed from the same set in Emerald Green. My strip of paper down the right side is a piece of Kraft that I heat embossed with the Hero Arts Designer Woodgrain Background Stamp in Hero Arts Clear Embossing Powder. The sentiment is from the Hero Arts Many Everyday Messages Photopolymer Stamp Set and I heat embossed it in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto a strip of Hunter Green that I cut out with the banner die from the Hero Arts Little Messages Stamp & Cut Set. The strip is adhered to the card with 3D Foam Squares along with the goldfish. To complete the card I stamped some of the bubbles in Mint Julep and added a few Pretty Pink Posh Clear Droplets. That Goldfish is still one of my favorites and who doesn’t love the Clear Droplets, they make excellent bubbles! I hope that you like my Design Team Card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and take a peek at the rest of the Team’s cards and enter your in the gallery! We are to have some wacky weather here for the next two days! Today it’s going to be in the 60’s and tomorrow we are to get up to 10 inches of snow! Mother Nature needs to get it together! LOL! I did had a very productive day at the Store yesterday! My friend Sue came by and we got so much accomplished! We moved things around and cataloged a bunch of stuff. We also got to FaceTime with Michael and met his newest dog, she’s so cute. After work I had dinner and then came home and did a little more organizing and some relaxing! Today, maybe I will get to drive to work with the top down and tomorrow I probably won’t be able to get to work! Crazy! 😀

Midweek and time for a new Paper Craft Crew challenge…

It’s that Love time of year! Hope you aren’t sick of all of the love on the blog! LOL! I wanted to use the die cut that I had left over from the card that I made the other day, you can see it HERE. My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I stamped the Hero Arts Alphabet Soup Bold Prints Background in Soft Pink onto a piece of Solar white 80lb. Next I took some more Soft Pink Ink and added it to the back of a piece of 48lb Vellum, using my Heat Tool to dry it in between layers and then cut it out with the Hero Arts Nesting Infinity Hearts Dies. I adhered the love die cut with Multi-Matte Medium to the Vellum heart and then added some more behind the letters to adhere it to the stamped background panel. The left side is trimmed off. A piece of American Crafts Gold Glitter Tape is adhered down the left side of the card base and then the panel is adhered to card with E-Z Runner and Fun Foam. For a little extra sparkle I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins and the card is done! I really like the love die cut stamped with the flowers and the soft pink heart is neat! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Theme Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Happy Hump Day! We had the snow promised yesterday but thankfully it didn’t amount to much, at least not on the roads. It snowed on and off most of the day. Renee and I were nice and snug inside the Store. People stopped by to for Renee’s All Occasions Class and we had three new ladies! One of them is a stamper! Yay! Jean came by and hung out with us for a while too, she is one funny lady! I worked on some cards and actually got three made. After work I headed over to have dinner with Sue and drop of some My Favorite Things goodies. From there I came back home and spent some time with my friend Jim. It’s so nice to just sit and chat sometimes! Tonight Danielle is supposed to come by! I haven’t seen her is way too long, can’t wait! 😀

One of the cards that I made yesterday is for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge

For the card base I used some Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock, my background is a piece of Kraft. I stamped the heart and mugs from the Concord & 9th Cozy Up Photopolymer Stamp Set in Lawn Fawn Black Licorice Ink and then cut them out with the Coordinating Dies. I also stamped some of the single wood rings on the card front in Lawn Fawn Lobster Ink. The heart is adhered to the card with Tombo Dot Runner Adhesive. My greeting is cut from a piece of American Crafts Black Glitter Card Stock. I adhered the mugs to a strip of Vellum with 3D Foam Squares and then added a strip of Chinese Red behind it and cut the right side at an angle. Some more 3D Foam Squares adhere the vellum to the card and a little Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive holds the greeting to the Vellum. Just a few Pretty Pink Posh Raspberry Sequins and the card is done! I love stretching my stamps and think that this would make a great masculine Valentine’s Card! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team Card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Oh, the rain decided to stick around for another day, and I’ll say it agin, better than snow! Renee and I had a productive day at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store. She cut out lovely titles on the Cricut and I made some cards and did a lot of paperwork! I had text Andrew in the morning to tell him that I missed him and he came over last night with Pizza! We got all caught up! Isn’t it great when you have friends that you can just pick up where you left off with?! I also fished catching up with This is Us so I can watch yesterday’s episode tonight when I get home! Today, I’m off to Manhattan! Going to see my friend Ella in the morning and then head down to The Ink Pad to visit my friend Anna! I need a city day! 😀

Wednesday and time for this week’s Paper Craft Crew challenge…

I went nice and simple with lots of stamping! I cut a piece of Solar White 80lb to 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 and heat embossed the circles from the Concord & 9th Love you, Mean It Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder twice. Using my ruler and a pencil I drew two lines down the card to serve as a guide for where I wanted my stamping. All of the images are from the same set and are stamped in Soft Pink, Soft Lilac, Red Royal and Lime Green. I erased the lines and then used the Concord & 9th Wonderful Words Dies to cut out a piece of Gold Mirror Card. A little Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive adheres it to the card. All that was left to do was to adhere the panel to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock! I love the simplicity and the cascade of flowers, they were so much fun to stamp! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Color Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s card and enter yours in the gallery! Thank you for coming by and visiting with me! Have a lovely Wednesday! 🙂

A lovely, dreary, rainy day is what we had here yesterday. At least it wasn’t cold! Another fun day at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store despite the weather. I got my card made for today and ran to the Post Office to mail out a few orders. Speaking of orders, thank you so much for them! It means a lot to me that you choose to get some of your crafty goodness from me! As a thank you to all of my faithful blog readers you can use discount code JKCARDSBLOG17 to take 10% off every order from the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store! The discount can’t be combined with other discounts. And remember that all orders over $50 ship for FREE! Don’t forget about the two sales that are going on now as well! You can read more about that on yesterday’s blog post! I spent the rest of the day working on things and I also had the pleasure of speaking to my friend Anna from The Ink Pad! Oh how I miss her! The rest of my evening was the usual dinner and then TV. Not the most exciting person at night lately, I know. I’ll have to work on that! 😀

Let’s see… Wednesday, oh, I’m over on the Paper Craft Crew blog for this week’s sketch challenge…

I wanted to keep my card clean and use only one stamp set so I pulled out one of my favorites! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. Across the lower half I added a piece of American Crafts Peacock Glitter Tape. My images and greeting are from the Hero Arts You’re So Lovely Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the flowers in Tide Pool and Mint Julep and the leaves in Lime Green. They are all cut out with the Coordinating Frame Cuts and adhered to the card with Dot Runner and 3D Foam Squares. For the greeting I heat embossed the hello in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto a piece of Tropical Sea, flagged the right side and used some more 3D Foam Squares to adhered it to the card. It needed a little bling and I wanted something different so I added a few gems from the Hero Arts Pool Mixed Accents and that did the trick! I love the colors together and the fun sparkle of the Peacock Glitter Tape! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG to see the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thank you for coming by and for your support! Have a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂

Hello my friends! Still not feeling great but this too shall pass. It is making it hard to get my projects finished but they will still be there waiting. I had another quick day at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store. I got my card made and a few other things done but I left around 3:30 and came straight home and took a nap. I’m good for a few hours and then I get really tired. The rest of my evening after dinner was pretty boring. I can’t wait for this cold to be done! 😀

We are at the mid-way point in the week so it’s time for this week’s Paper Craft Crew challenge…

I needed a nice Spring like card to brighten my mood so I took the Hero Arts Color Layering Large Orchid Photopolymer Stamp Set and stamped the orchids in Soft Vanilla, Passion Flower, Grape Juice and Butter Bar using my Mini MISTI. The buds are stamped in Passion Flower and Grape Juice and the stem in Forever Green. I used the Coordinating Frame Cuts to cut them out and then adhered them to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock cut to 3 3/4″ wide, letting them hang off the left side. My greeting is from the Hero Arts Color Layering Flamingo Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Grape Juice. I added a bunch of Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear, Amethyst, Orchid, and Mossy Green Sequins. Love the Orchids in the purple with the vanilla base! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Theme Challenge! Don’t forget to stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thank you for coming by to see me and thank you for all of your well wishes! Have a magical Wednesday! 🙂
