Paper Craft Crew 200!

Ahh… Wednesday! Always seems to be the busiest day of the week for me lately! My Tuesday was a pretty busy one too! The Stamp, Ink, Paper Store was very busy! Renee has been having issues with her Dell Computer running Windows… need I say more?! After about an hour on the phone with Microsoft they finally determined that it was the last update that messed up the computer so we had to roll it back to fix it. I concentrated on getting some more orders in and working with my Rep on a  few things. The weather was just lovely again, the convertible makes me such a happy boy! When I got home from the store Daniel was still at my Parent’s and it was National Selfie Day so he and I haven’t had a selfie in a long time! Here is our contribution…

Daniel & Me NSD

Oh how I love that little boy! After I had some dinner I headed over to see my friend Sue! She was having some computer issues too so I got that straightened out and we sat and chatted for a bit on the front steps. When I got home I had to finish my card for today, last minute as usual! I need to work on my planning a little more! Today will be super busy at the store! I have Concord & 9th, Altenew and Notions arriving! Just in time for my class tomorrow! YAY!

Today is a special Wednesday post for the Paper Craft Crew Challenge! It’s our 200th one!! I am happy to say that I have been playing along since challenge 7!! Here is this week’s sketch…

PCCCS200 DT Sketch 6-22-2016

I wanted to play with my Hero Arts Seahorse again but I hadn’t used purple in a while so I Googled just to make sure that there are purple Seahorses and there are! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My background is a piece of paper from the Bo Bunny Believe 12×12 Paper Line, it’s the Devotion sheet. Next up I used the Lawn Fawn Cross Stitched Rectangles Stackables to cut out a piece of Ballerina Pink and Cyber Grape. The pink is adhered to the card with E-Z Runner. On my purple piece I used the seaweed from the Hero Arts Color Layering Goldfish Photopolymer Stamp Set and heat embossed them in Ranger Silver Pearl Embossing Powder. That panel is then adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. I then adhered some purple and silver glitter tape to some Solar White 80lb and adhered that to the card on diagonals crossing each other. A piece of Pale Aqua is cut out with the Lawn Fawn Cross Stitched Circles Stackables and adhered to the card with more E-Z Runner. My images are all from the Hero Arts Color Layering Seahorse Photopolymer Stamp Set. The Seahorse is stamped in Passion Flower, Grape Juice and Intense Black, the Starfish in Wet Cement and Cup O Joe and the Shell in Soft Pink and Wet Cement. They are all cut out with the Coordinating Dies and adhered to the circle. My greeting is from the Hero Arts Many Everyday Messages Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts Silver Embossing Powder on more Ballerina Pink and tucked under the circle. Of course I added some Pretty Pink Posh Silver, Pink Peony and Amethyst Sequins for a little sparkle! I love that patterned paper and the super cool Seahorse! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for the 200th Challenge over on the Paper Craft Crew blog! There is some blog candy and all sorts of other goodness going on over on the BLOG so go and check it out! While you’re there make a card and enter it in the gallery to help us celebrate! Another busy day at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store! The weather was just lovely yesterday and it made it a little harder to concentrate! I stopped by my old work to drop a card off for my friend Valerie! It was so good to see her! I was bummed that no one from my old department was there but Nancy was getting an award for something, no surprise there! She is very dedicated to her work! Despite the fact that I kept going outside all day I still managed to get a lot done. I snuck out a little early so I could get to my Parent’s in time to see my little buddy Daniel! We played outside for a bit and then I had dinner, dropped my stuff off at my house and headed over to Heather’s for an early Thirsty Thursday! A good time as always! Today I have a bunch of orders arriving and my friend Sue is going to come by the store and help! That will be fun!

It’s Wednesday so I’m over on the Paper Craft Crew blog for this week’s sketch…

PCCCS199 DT Sketch 6-15-2016

I’m getting in the habit of taking supplies with me to the store so I can work on my cards while I’m there. I look like a bag person when I leave the house in the morning! LOL! Today’s card base is Neenah Solar White 80lb cut to 5″ x 10″ and folded in half. I covered the front with a piece of Battleship Gray. Across the top is a piece of Bo Bunny Toy Box Paper, the Cheerful piece to be exact. In the lower left is a piece of Gold Mirror Card that I cut out with the Spellbinders Orchard Harvest Tags & Accessories Die. I used my Artisan X-Plorer to cut and emboss it and adhered it to the card with E-Z Runner. The flowers and leaves are from the Altenew Vintage Roses Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the flowers in Blush, Rouge, Crimson and Velvet Crisp Ink. The leaves are stamped in Hero Arts Lemon and Butter Bar and they are all cut out with the Coordinating Dies. I used Foam Tape to adhere them to the card. A small flag is cut from a piece of Pink and adhered slightly under the flower at the top. My greeting, from the Hero Arts Many Everyday Messages Photopolymer Stamp Set, is heat embossed on another piece of Pink and cut out with the Taylored Expressions ? Die. I adhered it to the card with Foam Tape. I decided that it needed a little bling so I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Clear Droplets and Gold Sequins. I love the colors, especially the leaves stamped in the bright yellow! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards, including the latest addition… my friend Andrea! Add your card to the gallery so we can see your take! Thank you very much for coming by today! Have a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂

Yes, we had another nice day here! Top down in the car on the way to the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store! I was very productive at work and even got my card made for today which was a good thing! Heather surprised me and stopped by the store with Starbucks and she stayed and did some school work. We had Blaze Pizza for lunch. She text me after she left to say that a rock had hit her windshield. That was an understatement! It almost went through the windshield. She had the car towed back to her house. Around 6:30 she called and told me that her dad was taken to the hospital so I left the store and took her over to see him. We stayed until around 8:00 and then I dropped her off at her house. She is leaving this morning for New Orleans with George for a little get away and I think that she needs it bad! Hopefully she has a good flight and a relaxing time while she’s away! Today I’ll make the final preparations for my Stamping 101 class and get some more samples made!

Midweek and the means that I’m over on the Paper Craft Crew blog for this week’s color challenge…

PCCCS198 DT Colors 6-08-2016

Toady’s card base is Ivory 110lb Card Stock. I used all Waffle Flower goodies for the card! The funky background is a piece of Mint Macaroon cut out with the Waffle Flower Tribal Pattern Die. My flowers are cut from So Saffron for the mats and Calypso Coral for the flowers using the Waffle Flower Lacy Flowers and Lacy Flower Mats Dies. I used Elmer’s Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive to adhere the background to the card and the flower pieces together. The large flower is adhered to the card with Foam Tape and the others with Dot Runner Adhesive. I used the Waffle Flower Tiny Butterfly Die to cut out a piece of Black 110lb and adhered that to the card with more Foam Tape. My sentiment is from the Waffle Flower Doily Circle Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Onyx Black. Renee had some Dew Drops so I adhered a few yellow ones in the middles of the flowers and the card is finished! I really do love the intricate and unusual dies that Waffle Flower has, makes for a nice change! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Color Challenge! Check out the rest of the Design Team’s cards over on the BLOG and enter your one in the gallery! Thank you so much for coming by today! I wish you all a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂

Hmm… my week is a little off! I thought that today was Tuesday because we had off Monday?! I guess my excitement that Friday will be here before I know it will make up for all of that confusion!! LOL! So happy Wednesday! Before I headed over to the store this morning I stopped by Heather’s and fixed her mouse on her work computer. I was thanked with a nice breakfast of eggs, sausages, hash browns and toast! SO much for that diet! But, I was good for the rest of the day! On the way to work there was traffic on the parkway and there usually isn’t. Well, low and behold some truck driver decided that he would use a bridge as a can opener! As I drove by the scene the roof of the truck was still laying in the road. I know I saw a sign about clearance, guess he didn’t! The store was busy and Renee and I both worked on different projects. We also had salad for lunch, we are starting a new healthy eating kick! After I got home, top down in the car again, I had a sandwich for dinner and then ran to BJ’s the get some things before settling in for the evening. Today I have some more product coming into the store and a lot of paperwork related stuff to do! I’m going to try and get some crafty time in too!

Since it is Wednesday that means that I’m over on the Paper Craft Crew blog for this week’s sketch…

PCCCS197 DT Sketch 6-01-2016

My card is way out of my comfort zone today! I used some really bright colors! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I masked off the square with Post-it Tape and used my Mini Ink Blending Tool to apply some Twisted Citron Distress Ink. I used the same method to apply Mermaid Lagoon and Wilted Violet to two pieces of Canson 140lb Watercolor Card. They are adhered to the card at angles to match the sketch. My cityscape is a piece of Black 110lb cut out with the Impression Obsession City Landscape Layers Dies and is adhered on top of the inked panels. The little taxi and greeting are from the Hero Arts City Adventure Photopolymer Stamp Set and are both heat embossed in Black Embossing Powder, the taxi on Hello Honey and the greeting on Desert Storm 80lb. I flagged the left side of the greeting and used Foam Tape to adhere them both to the card. A sprinkling of Pretty Pink Posh Amethyst, Marigold, Lime Sorbet and Onyx Sequins complete the card! I have to say that I really do love the bright colors against the subdued colors of the taxi and greeting and that City Die is so cool!! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see what the rest of the Designer’s have done and enter your card in the gallery! Thank you for stopping by today! Have a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂

Another fun day at Stamp, Ink, Paper! Renee got a new line of paper in that moved like hotcakes! My second half of my Lawn Fawn order arrived, I entered it in the system, priced it and put it out. I got in touch with the customers that wanted it and they came in throughout the day to pick it up. Renee and I bounce ideas off of each other all day and she called me after she left with a really good one!! Can’t wait to share it with you! When I got home I had dinner, mum made chili! One of my favorites! My friend Sue stopped by and we chatted for a while and I subjected her to my latest YouTube obsessions! After she left I sat down and made my card, it was going to be a quick card… ummm… not really! Does that happen to you? You set out to make a simple card and end up using half of the supplies that you have?! LOL!

Today I’m over on the Paper Craft Crew blog for this week’s sketch challenge…

PCCCS196 DT Sketch 5-25-2016

When I saw the sketch I remembered that I had a butterfly die that I had picked up a while ago on one of my trips with Sue and Michael to a craft show. About time I used it! The card base today is Ivory 110lb Card Stock. I splattered some Heidi Swapp Tinsel Color Shine on the front and worked on the rest of the card while that dried. A piece of Gold Mirror Card (yes, again! LOL!) is cut out with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Squares Lawn Cuts and adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. My butterfly is a two piece die from Paper Artist. I cut the back out from a piece of 36lb Vellum and the top from a piece of Basic Gray. A tiny piece of Scor-Tape holds the two together and also adhered it to the Mirror Card. Another piece of Mirror Card is cut out with the Simon Says Stamp Loopy Circles Craft Die and adhered to the butterfly with Multi-Matte Medium. The greeting is from the Hero Arts Many Everyday Messages Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Ranger Liquid Platinum Embossing Powder onto a piece of 48lb Vellum. I used the Lawn Fawn Everyday Sentiment Banners to cut it out and used a piece of Kool-Tac Clear Foam Tape to adhere it to the card. Yes, I’m obsessed with that Mirror Card, but you have to admit it does look pretty cool! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge! Stop by the blog and tale a peek at the rest of the Team’s projects and enter yours in the gallery! Thank you for taking a little time out of your day to visit with me! Have a happy Wednesday! 🙂

Another odd weather day here yesterday! I know we had little tastes of Spring but I’m ready for it to come and stay please! Brian came by and picked me up in the morning so we could go and get some things for my project and drop them off. We stopped by Scrap-A-Latte to see Renee and Brian Had his little girl Savannah with us. She has the most infections little laugh! You just can’t help but smile when you hear it! Renee had fun playing with her for a little bit. On the way home we stopped and got her a Happy Meal from McDonald’s, one of the only things that she will eat! Brian dropped me back off at the house and Heather called. She asked if I wanted to get lunch and go over by her so I stopped at Subway and picked up two sandwiches. Always a good time with Heather! When I got back home Taylor was here doing her usual binge watching bad TV on Hulu! I FaceTimed with Andrea and made my card for today. She got some spiffy new glasses and they look really nice on her! After dinner Taylor and I ran out to Bed Bath and Walmart so I could pick up a few things. Today, yup you guessed it, lots more to get done!

If it’s Wednesday then that means that I’m over on the Paper Craft Crew blog for this week’s sketch challenge…

PCCCS195 DT Sketch 5-18-2016

I like it when I can use just one stamp set to make a card and that’s what just what I did! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. All of my images and greeting are from the Lawn Fawn Blue Skies Photopolymer Stamp Set. For the strip across the bottom I heat embossed the clouds in Hero Arts Silver Embossing Powder onto a piece of Vellum and put adhesive on the part that would be hidden behind the square. That square is a piece of Marina Mist that I cut out with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Squares Lawn Cuts. I heat embossed the greeting in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder and adhered it to the card with E-Z Runner and Fun Foam. The clouds, hot air balloon and banner are stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored in with Copics. I used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out and adhered them to the card with E-Z Runner and Foam Tape. Some Silver Sequins are added with two Basic Jewels Rhinestones in the middles of the larger ones. I do love that set, the sketched look gives the images a nice soft feel to them. I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the cards created by the Team and enter yours in the gallery! Happy Hump Day peeps! I trust that your week is going well! Mine is not too bad. I went to meet Bill at BJ’s this morning to help with something and then came home and stopped by my Parent’s to have lunch. After that I came back to my house and crafted for a bit. I spoke to Sue and her and I are going to go on a little adventure today! Taylor stopped by, she has to have her tonsils out in July, nothing like making someone wait! I also spoke to Michael for a bit and we got caught up! Sandy came by around 6:30 and we went out to dinner to the Noodle Shop. I have been wanting to try it for a while and I must say that we both enjoyed it! I also got a ride in her gorgeous new car, there are so many electronic goodies in there I could spend hours exploring it all! I hope that I can get my morning errands done in time to get back and watch the store for Renee at 2:00! Wish me luck!

Today I’m over on the Paper Craft Crew blog for this week’s challenge…

PCCCS194 DT Theme 5-11-2016

I have been using flowers a lot lately and thought that I didn’t have any new ones, I was wrong! My card starts off with a base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I heat embossed the sentiment from the Concord & 9th By Your Side Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts Copper Embossing Powder onto a piece of Desert Storm 80lb and then adhered it to the card with Tombo Extreme Adhesive. To create my flower panel I traced around the inside of one of the Lawn Fawn Stitched Ovals with a pencil and then heat embossed the flowers and stems from the Concord & 9th Shine Brighter Photopolymer Stamp Set with more Copper Embossing Powder onto a piece of Tim Holtz Watercolor Card. I stamped an extra stem and flower on a another piece of Watercolor Card and then used my Gansai Tambi Watercolors to color them in. Once they dried I cut out the pair with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Ovals Lawn Cuts and the single flower with the Coordinating Shine Brighter Dies. The extra stem is cut out with my Scissors and adhered to the oval with Multi-Matte Medium. I used some Foam Tape to adhere the flower and then some more Tombo Extreme to adhere the oval to the card. A generous sprinkling of Copper Sequins and the card is done! I really do love the Copper Embossing Powder and the Gansai Tambi Watercolors are definitely my favorite! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s projects and enter yours in the gallery! Oh boy! The week is moving right along isn’t it?! I woke up later than I wanted to today and for some reason that throws off my whole day. I did manage to make a card this morning with Andrea via FaceTime and we chatted about some Design Team things. Before I headed over to see Renee at Scrap-A-Latte I stopped by my parent’s to see Daniel and Erika was there. It was another rainy day so perfect to sit and discuss lots of things with Renee. We got a lot accomplished and that made me feel better! When I got back home it was time for dinner and mum made beef stew, perfect for a rainy day. After dinner I came home and watched some YouTube videos and did some research on my little project. Soon I will be able to share with you what I have been working on! I hope that when you find out what it is that you are as excited as I am!

No on to today’s post! It’s for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge…

PCCCS193 DT Sketch 5-04-2016

As soon as I saw the sketch I knew just what I wanted to do! The card base is Ivory 110lb Card Stock. I adhered a strip of paper from the Timeless Elegance Designer Series Paper Pack across the upper half of the card. My circles are cut out with the Simon Says Stamp Circle Loops Craft Dies from, you guessed it, Gold Mirror Card Stock! Sick of it yet?! LOL! I adhered them to the card with Elmer’s Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. The greeting is from the Hero Arts Hello Gorgeous Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed onto a strip of Black 110lb with Ranger Gold Embossing Powder. I flagged the left side and adhered it to the card with Foam Tape. I didn’t have a gold button so I took one from the giant bin-o-buttons and coated it in Versa-Mark and dipped it in the Gold Embossing Powder. Some Tweezers helped to hold it while I heat set the powder and I had a matching gold button! Some Hemptique Black Hemp Twine is tied in a bow and the button is adhered to the greeting strip with a Glue Dot. I just had to use that greeting! I think that it’s so different! This would make a fun wedding card, you could write congratulations on the inside and it would go perfectly with the Sinceriously! I hope that you like my Design Team Card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge! Don’t forget to stop by the BLOG and take a look at the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thank you so very much for coming by today! Have a wildly wonderful Wednesday! 🙂

Is it Friday yet?! It seems like it should be! LOL! Yesterday was a long day! I did have a nice time at The Ink Pad with Barbara and I got to have my Chop’t salad again! YUM! Class was nice with Caitlyn, if she does another Hand Lettering class I’m definitely going to take it! I got home around 11:00 last night and was done! I could’t wait to crawl into bed! Today I have a lot of my stuff to catch up on. Lot’s of stuff actually! Hope I can get through it all!

Today I’m over on the Paper Craft Crew blog for this week’s sketch challenge…

Yup, there is that Goldfish again! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and I stamped some of the images from the Hero Arts Color Layering Goldfish Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts Tide Pool Ink. More of the bubbles are then heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto a piece of Vellum that I flagged on the right. My goldfish is from the same set and is stamped in Simon Says Stamp Slate and Black Ink and then stamped again with the first layer of the stamp in Versa-Mark and heat embossed in Simon Says Stamp Clear Fine Detail Embossing Powder. My scissors cut him out, although I did finally get the dies! The greeting is from the Hero Arts Many Everyday Messages Photopolymer Stamp Set and heat embossed in more White Embossing Powder onto a piece of Black 110lb. I used E-Z Runner and Foam Tape to adhere everything together and then to attach it to the card. To enhance the bubbles I added some Pretty Pink Posh Ocean Spray and Sparkling Clear Sequins. And I’m still enamored with that goldfish, I do think that I like him in the back the best! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! No matter how long the day is as long as it’s in Manhattan it’s a good day! The Ink Pad was great as always! Anna and I had a nice productive day, we got lots of stuff entered and put away. I stayed late because there was a class, Handlettering taught a very talented young lady named Caitlyn. She has an Etsy shop if you want to take a look at some of her work you can find it HERE. Kim came by the store and we had Noodles for dinner, she is off to Missouri this morning, I’ll really miss her this week seeing as I’m going to be in the city a lot! By the time I got home it was 10:45. Taylor was there with Kiera keeping Winston company. I sat down and made a card and relaxed a for bit. Ready to do it all over again tomorrow! 🙂

So it’s Wednesday right?! LOL! That means that it’s time for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge…

PCCCS191 DT Sketch 4-20-2016

I have really been enjoying the look of White Pigment Ink on Kraft Card Stock especially with another ink color stamped over it! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I adhered a piece of Mossy Meadow onto the base for my background. The circle is a piece of Blackberry Bliss that I cut out with the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Circles Dies. My greeting is stamped onto a piece of Desert Storm 80lb that I cut out with the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangles Dies. The greeting is stamped in Hero Arts Grape Juice Ink using the A Bit of Kindness Wood Mount Stamp. My flower and leaves are stamped in Hero Arts Unicorn Pigment Ink and they are from the Hero Arts For you Flowers Color Layering Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the second layer of the leaves in Forever Green Ink and the second layer of the flower in Grape Juice. The flower is cut out with my Scissors and both the flower and greeting are adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins to give the card a little shine. That Hero Arts For you Flowers is definitely becoming one of my favorite Color Layering Sets! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the blog and see what the rest of the Team has come ups with to inspire you and enter your card in the gallery! Thank you for coming by and partaking in my busy week! Have a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂
