OSAT July Blog Hop – Very Vintage!

Another nice sunny day and I managed to be productive again! I got a few things done in the morning and watched a little TV. Jim came by after work and we had Chinese for dinner and watched Maleficent, still love that movie! I also ran over to Heather’s for a bit before calling it a night. Today I have lots more computer related stuff to get done. No TV until it is! LOL! 😀

For my projects today I’m participating in a blog hop with a bunch of my friends from one of the Facebook groups that I belong to. It’s called One Stamp at a Time Cards and More. If you have arrived here from the clever Jeanna Bohanon’s blog, welcome! This month we have a Vintage Theme! I’m not very good at vintage but I did have a lot of fun making my card!!

I started the card by choosing a piece of paper from the Prima Jodie Lee Butterfly A4 Paper Pad and I used the Tim Holtz Mixed Media #2 Dies to cut out the upper left corner. It is adhered to a piece of Early Espresso with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. The butterfly is cut from another piece of paper from the same pad and a piece of Solar White 110lb. I coated the white with Versa-Mark and dipped it into my Hero Arts Copper Embossing Power and heat embossed it. Some more Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive adheres the two butterfly pieces together. My greeting is from the Papertrey Ink Think Big Favorites Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in more Copper onto a piece of 65lb Vellum. I folded the edges around the back of the background and adhered it to a card base Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The butterfly is adhered to the card with 3M Foam Tape and just a few Pretty Pink Posh Rose Gold Sequins complete the card. I do love that paper and the Mixed Media Die along with the butterfly! Makes for a fun card!

I hope that you enjoyed my Father’s Day cards for the OSAT Vintage Blog Hop! You can click on the next button below to go back to the start and see clever Andrea Tracy-Tucker has come up with!! Thank you so much for stopping by to see me today. Have a thoroughly awesome Thursday! 🙂

Paper Players 293

Another rainy day here as promised by the lovely weathermen! LOL! I was up early and took Heather to the Dr. for another shot in her spine. She is trying to avoid the surgery at all costs, I can’t say that I blame her. We were there for a while and when she was finished we drove over to Woodbury and had lunch at Chop’t! Yes, I found one out here on the Island! Now Heather understands why I like it so much! From there we stopped at Target, Walgreen’s and the Dry Cleaners before heading back to her house. One of the cats had tried to take apart the chandelier so I fixed that and then came home just in time for dinner with Mum and Dad! When I got back to my house I made my card for today and continued working on my little project. Soon people!

The Paper Players have an interesting challenge this week…

Paper Players #293

Now, I knew that I had a bicycle stamp somewhere I just had to find it which didn’t take quite as long as I had thought it would! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I cut out the Mama Elephant Cityscape Creative Cuts from Black 110lb and adhered it to the card with Tombo Dot Runner Adhesive. Across the bottom for the street I adhered a piece of Basic Gray with some Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. The bicycle and greeting are from the Papertrey Ink Pedal Pusher Photopolymer Stamp Set. I did all of my die cutting first, they are solid dies, and then stamped the Wheels and greeting in Memento Tuxedo Black, the bicycle in Tide Pool, Basket in Khaki and the puppy in Slate. Two brads attach the wheels to the bike frame and it’s adhered to the card with more Tombo Dot Runner and Foam Tape. I never get tired of that cityscape, it works for so many different things! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Paper Players challenge! Thanks for coming by today! Have a simple Thursday! 🙂

Just Because Butterfly

Well, they said that we were going to get snow yesterday but thankfully we didn’t! It was rainy and cold for most of the day. When I got into Manhattan it was still pretty nice so I walked down to The Ink Pad from Penn. It’s nice to get some exercise first thing in the morning! We had a busy day and I got to meet lots of people from all over. Most today were from Mexico, Argentina and Brasil. My friends Kim and Maggie stopped by too! Anna and I got finished up right at 7:00 and I made the 7:12, I was home by 8:10! Dinner last night was a nice big salad with croutons and Buffalo Ranch Dressing! Yum! I even found a Hard Ginger Ale in the fridge! I spent a little time crafting and then watched some TV before calling it a night. Today I’ll be heading back into Manhattan for another day at The Ink Pad, this time with Jane!

Today’s card is one that was stuck in my head all day! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the entire front covered in a piece of Black 110lb. For the background I used one of my all time favorite papers, Typeset Specialty Designer Series Paper. The main panel is a piece of Neenah Desert Storm 80lb. I heat embossed the butterfly in Black Stampin’ Emboss Powder from the Hero Arts Butterfly Stamp & Cut Photopolymer Stamp Set and used my Prismacolor Pencils to color it in. It’s cut with the Coordinating Die, which is neat because it leaves the body attached and only cuts out the wings! I stamped my greeting from the Hero Arts Many Everyday Messages Photopolymer Stamp Set in Onyx Black and then tied a piece of Papertrey Ink Natural Hemp Twine in a bow around the lower half adding a dot of Multi-Matte Medium under the bow to keep it in place. The panel is then adhered to the card with E-Z Runner and some Pretty Pink Posh Amethyst, Pansy Purple, Orchid and Pink Peony Sequins are added to give the card a little movement! I always love the way colored pencils look on kraft card stock! I hope that you like today’s card! Thank you so much for your visit today! Have a simple and fun Sunday! 🙂

Paper Players 289

And we are coming into the home stretch of the week! It was chilly here again most of the day but started to warm up late in the evening. We are to have some rain today but it will be warmer! I’ll take it! Yesterday I tried to have a crafty day but other things kept getting in the way! I “lost” a stamp for a while and then Taylor and Kiera came over and Taylor found it for me within three minutes! She should have been here earlier! LOL! Last night they came back over and we watched a movie. A nice way to end the day! Today I have lots of stuff to get done, wish me luck!

The card that I have for you today is for this week’s Paper Players challenge…

Paper Players #289

It took me a while to come up with this one, I don’t have that much western stuff! The card base is Ivory 110lb Card Stock. I stamped a piece of Tip Top Taupe that I cut out with the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangles Dies with the Hardwood Background Stamp in Simon Says Stamp Khaki Ink. My greeting is a Unity Stamp called Whiskey than Tea that I have had for a while and it’s heat embossed in Cherry Cobbler. I wrapped some Papertrey Ink Natural Twine around the panel and secured a Regals Collection Designer Button to it. The panel is then adhered to the base with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. My stars are Cherry Cobbler and they are cut out with Momenta Starts Cut & Emboss Dies. The right and left ones are adhered with E-Z Runner and the middle one with some Foam Tape. I love the woodgrain background and the stars are pretty neat too! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Players challenge! Thank you for visiting me today! Have an amazing Thursday! 🙂

SIP Challenge 37 – Wood, Cork, Felt!

Hello! It turned out to be a very nice day here yesterday after a brief shower in the morning. I headed over to Scrap-A-Latte to go and see Renee and finish my cards for the March Lawn Fawn class. We chatted and then had some dinner before I headed home. When I got back to the house I let Winston out and I was standing there reading something on my iPhone when I was startled to see a raccoon the size of a small bear cub walk by me not four feet away! Thankfully I had already let Winston in! YIKES! I guess as long as neither one of us bothers the other one all is good! LOL! This morning I’m off to spend the day at Scrap-A-Latte so Renee can have a little time off. Come by and say hi if you are in the area!

Tuesday… yup it’s Tuesday! Time for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! We are also welcoming Marisa Gunn as a Guest Designer for the month of March! Thanks for joining us Marisa! This week I came up with a fun Wood, Cork, Felt Challenge…

SIP Challenge 37 Wood, Cork, Felt 800

All you have to do is use one of these on your project! I of course had to use all three! LOL! The card base for today is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with a piece of Pink Pirouette covering the front. I adhered a panel of Adhesive Cork Sheet on top of that. My tag is a wooden one that I picked up at Michaels along with the butterfly. The flowers and leaves are cut out from some pink and light green felt, also from Michaels, with the Essential by Ellen Bold Blooms Stand Alone Dies. I adhered them to the wooden tag with Multi-Matte Medium along with the butterfly. A length of Papertrey Ink Natural Twine is tied thought the top and then the tag is adhered to the card with E-Z- Runner. My greeting is from the Mama Elephant Labeled Messages Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Simon Says Stamp Jellybean Ink on a piece of Ivory 100lb and also adhered with E-Z Runner. I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Clear Droplets with more Multi-Matte Medium to give the card just a little more texture! I really do enjoy using some natural elements on a card, makes for a nice change from paper alone! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! Go on over to the BLOG and see what our fabulous Design Team has come up with to inspire you! We hope to see one your creations in the gallery this week! Thanks so much for stopping but today! Paper Craft Crew 183

I don’t know about you but this week is just flying by, I can’t believe that it’s Wednesday already! It was a little rainy and overcast here all day yesterday and think that we are to have more of the same today. Good days to stay in and craft which is exactly what I did yesterday. I had Daniel for a little bit in the morning while my mum went for an appointment, he is so good! After that I FaceTimed with Andrea while I worked on cards for my next class at The Ink Pad and also made my card for today! Love it when I get on a crafty roll! Taylor and Keira stopped by for a bit and after they left I crafted some m0re and finished the night off with a little TV! Today I’m thinking that it will be another crafty day, I have loads more projects to get finished!

It’s Wednesday so that means that I’m over on the Paper Craft Crew blog for this week’s challenge…

PCCCS183 DT Colors 2-24-2016

Some colors instead of a sketch this week! My card base for today is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The background is a piece of Smoky Slate that I embossed with the Brick Wall Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, it covers the entire card front. My tag is a piece of Lost Lagoon and I used the Simon Says Stamp Diagonal Stripes Stamp and some Lost Lagoon Ink to stamp it after I cut it out with the Simon Says Stamp Large Tags Craft Dies. The butterfly and the greeting are both cut from Blackberry Bliss using the Simon Says Stamp Leanna Butterfly and Small Hello Craft Dies. Before I adhered the butterfly I cut out a piece of Vellum with the Simon Says Stamp Calliope Flourish Craft Die. That and the hello are adhered to the tag with Multi-Matte Medium and then the tag is adhered over some leaves that are cut from Old Olive with the Simon Says Stamp Clustered Leaves Craft Die. A piece of Papertrey Ink Natural Hemp Twine is tied through the top of the tag and some Pretty Pink Posh Clear Droplets are added for a little shine! I first tried the tag without the stripes and it needed something, I love how a simple stripe can change the whole look of a card! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Color Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s inspiration cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thanks very much for spending some time with me today! I wish you all a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂

Paper Players 276

Sorry about the random post that got sent out last night from 2012! I can’t explain how that happened! I guess like Grace said the blog wanted to take a walk down memory lane! Hopefully that won’t happen again! I had a nice day yesterday with my friend Sue. We chatted and got some more stuff ready for Etsy. For lunch we went to the deli in East Meadow and had sandwiches and then we stopped in Marshall’s. I got a Chelsea Football Gym Sac, some new slippers and some Jelly Belly Jellybeans! When I got home I had dinner with my parent’s and then came to my house and crafted for a bit before working on the blog update again. Hopefully I will finish that today and have the new look ready to go by tomorrow!

My inspiration for my craftiness last night was this week’s Paper Players challenge. I wanted to thank Amy for making me her Headliner for the last challenge! You can see the winner’s post HERE and my original post HERE! Now on to this week…

Paper Players #276

That’s a nice fun and simple challenge! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and the background is a piece of paper from the Crate Paper Kiss Kiss 6×6 Paper Pad. I used a bunch of different dies to create my greeting. The Happy is from the Simon Says Stamp Happy Winter and Snow Craft Die and the birthday is from the Papertrey Ink Wonderful Words: Birthday Die. They are both cut out from a piece of American Crafts Black Glitter Paper that is adhered to a piece of Black 110lb with some Stick-It. The 21 is cut out from some Adhesive Cork Sheet that I adhered to a piece of Solar White 80lb and cut out with the Papertrey Ink By the Numbers Dies. My th is cut from some more of the cork using the Papertrey Ink Block Alphabet Dies. The panel is a piece of Watermelon Wonder that is cut out with the Papertrey Ink Spiral Notebook Die, it’s adhered to the card with Fun Foam and SNAIL. I used Multi-Matte Medium to adhere all of the greeting. I like the nice pop of black along with the subtleness of the cork against the bright notebook page and fun background! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Paper Players Theme challenge from Joanne! Thank you for taking some time to come by and see me! Have an interesting Thursday! 🙂

After dinner I sat down and watched one of my favorite movies, The Holiday. Today I’ll watch Love Actually, another favorite! And yes, I was at Target last night at 9:00 getting some last minute things! It wasn’t too crowded so I was in and out in no time!

Today’s post is a short one! I have two more ornaments and a card to share with you. I won’t bore you with the details! LOL! Just some pictures and a supply list so you can take a quick peek and get back to your festivities!

Winter Wonderland Ornaments & The Ink Pad Tags Class!

Sunday… the day of… rest?! Nah! I had a restful Saturday instead. I got my laundry done and did some crafty things, snuck in some TV. I love when I watch a movie and it makes you think, and not what you would expect to think about either. Anyway, today I’m off to Manhattan to hang out with Barbara at The Ink Pad. It’s going to be another chilly day, only in the 40’s! Where did those 60’s go?! They say they will back in a few days and I’m looking forward to their return! What’s on for you today?

My project that I have to share with you today is another ornament, this time a shaker! I cut some Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the Papertrey Ink Scene It: Basic Backer Die. The background is a piece of Black 110lb Card Stock cut with the Papertrey Ink Scene It: Skyscapes Dies. I adhered it to the backer with Multi-Matte Medium. Another piece of Solar White 110lb is cut out with the Sizzix Circles Framelits. I cut it in a little less than half and then stamped my greeting from the Hero Arts Winter Scene Photopolymer Stamp Set in Memento Tuxedo Black. My skyline is cut out of some Silver Glimmer Paper with the Mama Elephant Cityscape Creative Cuts and also adhered with Multi-Matte Medium. I added some Martha Stewart Chunky Glitter and then adhered the ornament half to the backer with more Multi-Matte Medium. A piece of Hemptique Black & White Baker’s twine tied through the top give me something to hang it on my tree with! I really do love making these ornaments and the Scene It Dies make is super easy! I hope that you enjoyed my ornament, they are fun to make and I hope that you will try one!

OSAT Blog Hop – Gratitude

OSAT Header

Hello! I hope that you are all enjoying your week! I had a productive day with Sue and listing things on Etsy. I finally set up my store too and you can visit it HERE. I have just a few cards up on it for now but will be adding more in the future! After that I came home and spent a little time with Taylor before getting ready to go out with Sandy for dinner at Friday’s. We had a lovely time and it was great to catch up with her. She brought over her new MacBook for a few lessons and she will be an expert in no time! It’s so nice and thin, she got the space gray one, really beautiful! She left around 10:30 and I watched a little TV before calling it a night.

Today I’m participating in a blog hop with a bunch of my friends from one of the Facebook groups that I belong to. It’s called One Stamp at a Time Cards and More. The focus this month is Gratitude! If you have arrived here from Marisa welcome! She had some great projects, didn’t she?! I have a card and a fun gift card holder for you today so let’s get to it!

First up is the card. I used some Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock for the base. My background is a piece of Kraft Card Stock that I embossed with the We R Memory Keepers Wood Embossing Folder. A partial circle is cut out from the lower right with the Sizzix Circles Framelits and Fun Foam and SNAIL adhere it to the card. The leaves are stamped in Simon Says Stamp Catkin, Green Apple and Green Leaf Ink using the Hero Arts Holiday Pine Branches Photopolymer Stamp Set, they are cut out with the Coordinating Frame Cuts. I adhered them in the circle with SNAIL. For the 25 I used some Gold Glimmer Paper and the Papertrey Ink By the Numbers Dies. I also cut out a piece of Fun Foam and adhered it to the back with Multi-Matte Medium before adhering them to card with the same. The thanks is cut from Solar White 80lb and also adhered with Multi-Matte Medium. I love the Kraft with the pops of Green and Gold, makes for an elegant yet understated thank you card!

OSAT December Blog Hop - Card-WM

Next up is the coordinating Gift Card Holder. I used the Lawn Fawn Pillow Box Die to cut out a piece of Kraft Card Stock. The front is stamped with the “Vintage” Woodgrain Background Stamp. Some Scor-Tape is used to adhere the box together. The stamped images and numbers are the exact same as the ones that I used on the card. I adhered the leaves with SNAIL and the numbers are adhered with Elmer’s Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. I love the pillow box from Lawn Fawn, it’s sized to perfectly hold a gift card!
