Pals Paper Arts 226

Happy Saturday peeps! I had a nice day yesterday. Danielle and I had an errand to run for work and were out for about three hours. We also had to stop at Panera to get some gift cards so we had lunch there. I had the Autumn Squash soup and it was delicious! I also had a nice road trip last night to New Jersey. Michael had a class to teach at Paper Anthology and had taken the train so I offered to go out and get him. The traffic was pretty heavy on the way there but it wasn’t a bad ride. The store was really neat, it was in an old house and had a great selection of all different kinds of goodies. If you ever find yourself in Kenvil New Jersey definitely stop by. You can check out their web site HERE and visit Michael’s blog HERE. This morning I’m off to Connecticut with Michael and Sue for a little visit to two stamp stores. And yes, I’m typing this on the car! LOL!

My card that I have for you today is for this week’s Pals Paper Arts color challenge…

PPA 226

Very fall appropriate colors, so I went with Christmas! LOL! The card base is Cajun Craze and the background is a piece of Very Vanilla that I embossed with the Woodgrain Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. Yes, I can’t get enough of woodgrain anything! I used the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch and the Project Life Corner Rounder to create my tag from a piece of Soft Suede. A piece of Color Me Autumn Designer Washi Tape is wrapped around the bottom of the tag and a piece of Mossy Meadow, Striped Satin Ribbon tied with some Linen Thread goes through the top. My tree is from the Festival of Tress Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Mossy Meadow on Very Vanilla and punched out with the Tree Punch. The greeting is from the Project Life December Wonder Photopolymer Stamp Set and is also stamped in Mossy Meadow and punched out with the 1″ Circle Punch. My tree and the greeting are adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals and so is the tag to the card. A nice clean somewhat traditional Holiday card that would be pretty easy to duplicate. I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Pals Paper Arts color challenge. Thanks for coming along on my road trip this morning too and have a wonderful Saturday! 🙂

Freshly Made Sketches 159 & Pals Paper Arts 225

I had a lovely day in Manhattan yesterday. The weather was perfect, nice a sunny and in the low 70’s! I went to see my friends Jim & Diane in the morning and then headed down to see Michael at the Ink Pad. I hung out there chatting with him and Barbara. We had some Chinese food for lunch and Andrew Garfield who plays Spider-Man stopped in to pick up some paint! Only in Manhattan! I left to come home around 5:30, made a few cards and then relaxed for bit. I have to tell you that I was a new kind of tired yesterday! One that I don’t think I have felt before! LOL! I did manage to get a little selfie of Michael and I, look at all of those stamps on the wall!

Michael and I Ink Pad

All in all a fun day and I feel much better today after getting some much needed sleep! Before I get to today’s cards I wanted to let you know that if you follow me on Blog Lovin’ I have good news! I was able to contact them and they kindly moved all of my subscribers to the new address! So there is nothing that you have to on your end! Yay!

Even though I was deliriously tired, believe it or not I managed to make two cards when I came home last night! My first one is for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge…

Freshly Made Sketches #159

As soon as I saw the sketch I knew exactly what I was going to do! I really needed that yesterday too! My card starts off with a base of Cherry Cobbler Card Stock. The background is a piece of paper from the Trim the Tree Designer Series Paper Stack. All of the stamped images are from the Cheerful Christmas Stamp Set. My greeting is heat embossed with Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Emboss Powder on a piece of Pistachio Pudding that I backed with some Cherry Cobbler before adhering it to the card. The three ornaments are heat embossed with Silver Stampin’ Emboss Powder on Cherry Cobbler and cut out with my Paper Snips. Some Stampin’ Dimensionals adhere them to the card. For some sparkle I adhered Basic Jewels Rhinestones on top of the dot in the greeting. A simple fun traditional Christmas card! I love the Cherry Cobbler on the Pistachio Pudding, gives the card a nice brightness don’t you think?!

The second card for today is for this week’s Pals Paper Arts sketch challenge…

PPA 225

Again, another nice simple sketch! This card begins with a base of Garden Green Card Stock and the background is a piece of paper from the Gold Soiree Specialty Designer Series Paper Pack. I used another piece for the first angled layer. The top angled layer is Calypso Coral and I heat embossed the greeting from the Hello Darling Stamp Set with Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder. After I adhered all of the layers together with SNAIL I adhered a few of the 2013-2015 In-Color Sequins and a few gold ones that I had randomly across the Calypso layer. I really do like the colors in the Gold Soiree DSP, definitely not ones that I would have thought to combine myself!

And there are my two card for today, one for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches and the other for Pals Paper Arts sketch challenge. I hope that you enjoyed them both and as always, thank you so much for coming by to see what I have been up to! I wish you all a very happy Sunday! 🙂

Pals Paper Arts 224

Oh yes my friends, it’s once again my favorite day of the week! This week actually went kind of fast! I didn’t get to run an errand yesterday but three days in a row wasn’t bad. I did spend a little time today at work keeping up with the Apple Event. They launched new iPads, iPad mini’s, a refreshed Mac mini and a new iMac with a screen resolution higher than the highest HDTV’s! I’m in the market for a new iMac and now that they have updated them I can go and get me one, maybe I’ll do that this weekend. Last night was pretty quiet. I had a package from Mr. Brown and come home and played with some new goodies. Watched a tiny bit of TV and spoke to my friend Danielle for an hour on the phone. Oh, I’m glad that you enjoyed my friend Michael’s blog yesterday, thanks for going over and having a look! 🙂

My time in the Stampin’ Galley last night yielded today’s card which is for this week’s Pals Paper Arts sketch challenge…

PPA 224

When I saw this set a week or so ago I couldn’t wait to get it. I so wanted to color it in and the sketch worked out to be perfect for it! My card base is Basic Black Card Stock and the background is a piece of Whisper White. I stamped the greeting from the Gentle Peace Photopolymer Stamp Set in Memento Tuxedo Black in the lower right corner. A piece of Crumb Cake, Baked Brown Sugar and Soft Suede are embossed with the Woodgrain Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and adhered on top of the White with SNAIL. My main image is also from the Gentle Peace Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Black Stampin’ Emboss Powder on Vellum Card Stock. I used my Coastal Cabana, Daffodil Delight, Real Red, Pacific Point, Lost Lagoon, Pool Party, Chocolate Chip, Soft Suede and “Vintage” Blush Blossom Stampin’ Write Markers to color in the image. I adhered the vellum to a piece of Whisper White and cut it out with my paper Snips. Some Stampin’ Dimensionals adhere it to the card. I love the way the white behind the image makes the colors pop and the tricolor woodgrain keeps the card simple and doesn’t take away from the stained glass window! I really love the image, and heat embossed on the velum and colored in with markers, it really does look like stained glass! I hope that you enjoyed my Pals Paper Arts card for this week’s sketch challenge. I love to get new toys and share the projects with you! I hope that you all have a fabulous Friday! Thanks for checking in! 🙂

Double Post – Pals Paper Arts & Paper Players

Another weekend over and done with. No complaints  from me, I had a nice weekend. Yesterday I kind of just hung around the house in the morning and made a card or two, or three. I should have cleaned a bit but I just wasn’t feeling it. I did end up going out with Heather for a while. We stopped by to see our Friends Neal and Steph’s and then headed out to Sonic for lunch. I have had a craving for a while! I got a bacon and cheese hot dog on a pretzel bun, everything should come on a pretzel bun! It was delicious. We stopped at Target on the way home and picked up some lunch for the week. I decided that I wanted to watch a movie last night so I sat down and put on Unknown with Liam Neeson. It was pretty good and I almost made it thorough the entire thing without being interrupted! LOL! Now we are back to the start of another week, one that will hopefully be a good one!

It’s Monday and that means that it’s time for the Paper Players challenge. I also have my card for the Pals Paper Arts challenge too since I used last week’s colors when I made my card on Saturday! Duh! First we’ll do the Pals Paper Arts card which is based on this week’s colors…

PPA 223

I did a tall skinny card just for fun! The card base is Tangelo Twist and my background is a piece of Basic Black. I used the Confetti Stars Border Punch on the right side and adhered it to the base with Stampin’ Dimensionals. My tag is a piece of Very Vanilla, the top is punched with the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch and the bottom corners are rounded with the Project Life Corner Rounder. I stamped the pumpkins and leaves from the Fall Fest Photopolymer Stamp Set in Tangelo Twist and Old Olive. The Fun Fall Framelits cut them out and Stampin’ Dimensionals adhere the leaves to the pumpkins and the pumpkins to the tag. The greeting is form the “Vinatge” Delighful Dozen Stamp Set and is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black. I threaded a piece of black hemp twine through the top and adhered the tag to the card with some more Stampin’ Dimensionals. A nice clean bright Halloween card and my little ceramic berry basket matches perfectly!

PPA 223-WM

My card for this week’s Paper Players is based on these colors from the challenge…

Paper Players #217

I didin’t want to do another Halloween card so I went the complete opposite direction. This card starts with a base of Hello Honey Card Stock. I used the Circles Collection Framelits to cut out a window from a piece of Very Vanilla. My greeting is from the Really Good Greetings Stamp Set and is stamped in Mossy Meadow. I adhered the cut out panel to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The flowers are from the Stippled Blossoms Stamp Set and are stamped in Tangelo Twist for the base and Tangerine Tango for the shadows. A little time with my Paper Snips and they are ready to be adhered on top of the Mossy Meadow leaves that I cut out with the Flower Frenzy Bigz L Die. To finish off the card I stamped a butterfly from the Papillon Potpourri Stamp Set in Tangelo Twist, punched him out with the Elegant Butterfly Punch and adhered him to the card with a Glue Dot. I love that even darker fall colors can make a pretty flowery card!

There is your double dose of cards from me for the Pals Paper Arts and Paper Players challenges. I hope that you enjoyed them both, thanks s much for stopping by and enjoy your Monday! 🙂

Pals Paper Arts 222

Ahh… the stress of the week just seems to melt away on a Friday! I’m looking forward tot his weekend too, I’ll be in Manhattan on both Saturday and Sunday! Yesterday was pretty uneventful, which is definitely not a bad thing. I came home and crafted for a bit and then ran to Target with Taylor. It seems that I’m in Target a lot, probably much more than I should be but it’s very close and they pretty much have anything that you could ever need. It was a very overcast morning here yesterday but the sun did peek out for a bit in the afternoon. Today is supposed to be sunny and in the 70’s, perfect weather of you ask me!

Today I have my card for this week’s Pals Paper Arts color challenge…

PPA 222

Now, you know how I love a Holiday card that has absolutely no red and green in it, well, when I looked at the colors I saw a Christmas card! I know, I’m a little odd but that’s me! LOL! My card starts off with a base of Early Espresso Card Stock. For my background I used a piece of So Saffron and embossed it with the Woodgrain Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. The four ornaments are from the Cheerful Christmas Stamp Set and are heat embossed in Calypso Coral Stampin’ Emboss Powder on Vellum Card Stock and cut out with my Paper Snips. I love to fussy cut but fussy cutting Vellum is not a lot of fun! LOL! I used some Early Espresso Baker’s Twine behind the ornaments that are adhered to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals and taped it behind the background with some Washi Tape. The panel is then adhered to the card with Fast Fuse Adhesive. I used the Note Tag Punch to punch out a piece of Calypso Coral that I heat embossed my Greeting from the Merry Everything Stamp Set in Early Espresso Stampin’ Emboss Powder. The hole in the top is punched out with the 1/8″ Circle Punch and another piece of Early Espresso Baker’s Twine is tied through it. Some Crystal Effects keeps the twine in place on the card. Yes, Christmas is a red and green but the ornaments can be any color and so can your tags! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Pals Paper Arts color challenge and that I have inspired you to make a non-traditional Holiday card!! Thanks so much for indulging me and coming by! You are the best blog peeps in the world! Have a super fantastic Friday! 🙂

Freshly Made Sketches 155 & Pals Paper Arts 211

WOW! Sunday already! Where did Saturday go?! At least I managed to get up at a decent hour today! LOL! I had a nice day yesterday, I crafted, ran some errands and had breakfast with Kim and the munchkins! I always seem to have more to get accomplished in a weekend than I have time for but isn’t that the case for most of us? We learn to prioritize that way right?! I’m playing a bit of catch up today so you get not one but two cards! Lets get to them, shall we?!

The first one up is for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge from Karren…

Freshly Made Sketches #155

Do you see it?! A tag!! LOL! I did another traditional Christmas card, red and green. My base is a piece of Garden Green Card Stock and the strip of paper down the left side is a piece of paper from the Trim the Tree Designer Series Paper Stack. The tag is a piece of Crumb Cake and I used the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch and the Project Life Corner Rounder to create it. My image and greeting are from the Making Spirits Bright Stamp Set. The cocktail is heat embossed in Black Stampin’ Emboss Powder and colored in with some colored pencils. The greeting is heat embossed in Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder on Cherry Cobbler and cut out with the Bitty Banners Framelits. Some Stampin’ Dimensionals hold it in place. A few sequins from the Gold Sequin Trim are adhered to the tag and a piece of Gold 5/8″ Satin Ribbon is threaded though the hole and some Linen Thread is tied in a knot to secure it in place. The tag is then adhered to the card with more Stampin’ Dimensionals. I love the way the colored pencils look with the Black heat embossing on the Crumb Cake and the plaid pattern in the Designer Series Paper is just perfect!

Up next is my card for this week’s Pals Paper Arts sketch challenge…

PPA 221

I have wanted to play with a new stamp set that I recently acquired and this seemed like the perfect sketch! My card starts with a base of Whisper White Card Stock. The background is a piece of Lost Lagoon that is stamped in Lost Lagoon with one of the flowers from the Forever Florals Stamp Set randomly. I adhered a piece of Lost Lagoon 3/8″ Stitched Ribbon around the back of the card with Sticky Strip and then adhered the background to the base. The panel is a piece of Silver Glimmer Paper and my squares are the same flower stamped on Watercolor Paper and heat embossed in White Stampin’ Emboss Powder. I used my Aqua Painter and some Lost Lagoon Ink to color in the flowers and surrounding area. My Stampin’ Trimmer cuts it apart and some Multi-Purpose Glue adheres it to the panel (I put the largest clear block on top of the squares to hold them in place while they dried). I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the panel to the background. The greeting is from the same stamp set and is stamped in Lost Lagoon, the ends flagged and more Stampin’ Dimensionals to hold it to the ribbon. My friend Eva sent me a cool little punch tool that lets you punch out a piece of paper and adhere a clear epoxy dome to it in one step. I used a piece of the All Abloom Designer Series Paper Stack backed with a piece of Silver Glimmer Paper that I punched out with the 7/8″ Scallop Circle Punch to complete the card. I love the flowers from the Forever Florals heat embossed and colored in loosely with my Aqua Painter and the background is pretty neat too!

PPA 221-WM

And there are my two cards for you for today. One for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge and the other for this week’s Pals Paper Arts sketch challenge. I hope that you enjoyed them both and I thank you, as always, for spending a little time with me today! Have a simply incredible Sunday! 🙂

Paper Players 214 & Pals Paper Arts 220

I know that I say it every Monday but that weekend just flew by! I had another pretty productive day yesterday. I spent a lot of time in the Stampin’ Galley, pretty much the whole weekend. I was in there yesterday morning and then my friend Sandy came by and we played with embossing paste for a bit. After she left I did some more crafting and then had some dinner. I wanted to get finished a little early so I could have some down time and that’s just what I did! It was a very busy weekend, the Control Freaks Tour on Saturday and the Creation Station Tour on Sunday. Lots of crafting but that is always fun for me. I think I need to switch the Stampin’ Galley with the bedroom, I spend much more time in there!

Today is a double header, I have my card for this week’s Pals Paper Arts sketch challenge and my usual Monday standard for this week’s Paper Players CAS Masculine Birthday. First we’ll do the Pals Paper Arts sketch…

PPA 220

We all know how I feel about traditional Christmas cards but every once in a while it’s nice to have a red and green one! The card begins with a base of Very Vanilla Card Stock and I covered the whole front with a piece of Mossy Meadow. In the lower right corner I embossed the greeting from the Bright & Beautiful Stamp Set in Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder. The frame is a piece of Brushed Gold Metallic Card Stock that I cut the center out of with my Stampin’ Trimmer. I adhered the frame to the card with lots ‘o Stampin’ Dimensionals. The large star is also form the Bright & Beautiful Stamp Set and is also heat embossed in Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder on a piece of Cherry Cobbler and cut out with the Stars Framelits. My little stars are from the Pictogram Pinches Stamp Set and again are heat embossed in Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder and punched out with the star from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack. A very traditional red, green and gold Christmas card for all of you purists out there! I will admit that it does have a familiar holiday feel to it!

PPA 220-WM

The second card for today is for this week’s Paper Players CAS Masculine Birthday from Jaydee….

Paper Players #214

I was poking around on YouTube the other day when I came across THIS video from Jennifer MacGuire. She showed you how to create a celestial background using ink. I absolutely loved the look so I had to give it a try! I used some Very Vanilla Card Stock for my base and a piece of Brushed Gold Metallic Card Stock to cover the front. My background is a piece of Watercolor Paper. I used Blackberry Bliss and Night of Navy Ink with a Ranger Mini Round Ink Blending Tool. I’m sure that you could use a Sponge Dauber but I like the ink blending tool, I feel it gives you a little better control. After I was happy with the ink coverage I took a paintbrush and flicked some water onto it. That’s what creates the dots with the halo like look. The other dots are a mixture of water and Perfect Pearls also flicked from a paintbrush. A piece of Vellum Card Stock is cut out with the Starburst Framelits to serve as a background for my… yes… feathers! LOL! I heat embossed the feathers in Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder onto Blackberry Bliss and Night of Navy and cut them out with the Feathers Framelits. They are adhered to the starburst with SNAIL. The greeting is from the And Many More Stamp Set and again is heat embossed in Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder and cut out with the banner from the Snowflake Card Thinlits. I adhered that to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I’m so happy with the way the background turned out! It really does look like a celestial night sky.

I really hope that you enjoyed both of my cards for today, one for the Pals Paper Arts challenge and the other for the Paper Players. Well, I didn’t realize that Andrew had hijacked my post yesterday! That was a nice surprise! He is also a great friend and wonderful person and I’m very happy that I have him in my life. He is always there for me too, but that’s what friends do right?! I always say that friends are the family that you choose and I think I chose wisely! Speaking of Andrew he was over bright and early yesterday morning. I went with him to take some baskets and other goodies to a fundraiser that he was helping with in Smithtown. We grabbed some breakfast and unloaded the cars. I unfortunately couldn’t stay as I had some things to take care of yesterday but he called on his way home and said that they raised $2,700 for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. Every little bit helps with the important work that they do. The rest of my day consisted of finishing up the stuff that I had to do and then I spent a little time in the Stampin’ Galley and created the two cards that I have for you today!

My first card os for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge…

Freshly Made Sketches #153

Super simple and I decided to go with the star image! My card begins with a base of Soft Sky Card Stock. The background is a piece of Crumb Cake that I stamped with the Hardwood Background Stamp inked in Crumb Cake. I adhered a piece of Cherry Cobbler 1″ Sheer Linen Ribbon around the back with Sticky Strip that I received as part of a ribbon share as a surprise birthday gift from the One Stamp at a Time Facebook group! How nice was that! Thank you! I used a combination of Fast Fuse and SNAIL to adhere the background to the base. The star image is from the Bright and Beautiful Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Emboss Powder on a piece of Soft Sky. I used the Star Framelits to cut it out and adhered it to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I cut the word joy out of a piece of Gold Foil Sheet using the Snowflake Card Thinlits for my greeting. Teeny tiny pieces of Stampin’ Dimensionals hold that in place. Finally I cut out two sequins from some more Gold Foil Sheet and adhered them on top of the ribbon. I really like the color combination and that new ribbon is really nice!

My second card for today is for this week’s Pals Paper Arts color challenge…

I immediately thought of a fall themed card and then I thought no, this is perfect for a nontraditional holiday card! This card starts off with a base of Always Artichoke Card Stock and a piece of Cajun Craze is used for the background. I cut out a piece of Crushed Curry with the Labels Collection Framelits and adhered it to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. My snowflake is from the Snowflake Card Thinlits and is cut out from a piece of Brushed Silver and adhered just in the middle with Multi-Purpose Glue. I stamped the tree from the Festival of Trees Stamp Set in Always Artichoke and then heat embossed the garland on the tree with Silver Stampin’ Emboss Powder. For the greeting I choose one from the Christmas Bliss Photopolymer Stamp Set and stamped it in Always Artichoke. A few of the Frosted Sequins scattered around complete the card. I know not everyone is a fan of non-tradiotnal holiday colors but I love to use them, they make for some interesting and fun Holiday cards!

Happy Friday my friends! TGIF for sure! It was another extremely busy day at work yesterday but I did manage to get all the things done that I wanted to. After work I had some dinner with my parents and then came home and sat outside and went though my comments and email just enjoying the nice evening. Around 7:30 I got a text from my friend Chantal asking if I was up for a rescue mission. I said sure why not. Apparently the trains were all delayed and some cancelled so she got on a train the let her off at the station by my house. I went over and picked her up and she asked if she could see my apartment and I said of course! We came back to my house and I gave her the “grand tour”, LOL! I haven’t see Chantal in a while so we spent some much needed time catching up. I showed her some pictures of Daniel and she some of her granddaughter Chloe. I drove her home around 10:00 and played some Sam Smith for her, she hadn’t heard him! When we got to her house she said that she would be going inside and downloading his album immediately. She also said that she hasn’t had any new music in a while and that was because she hadn’t seen me! It was such a nice surprise to get to rescue her and spend some time together. Love when things like that happen!

Speaking of Daniel, my brother took this super cute picture of him the other day, I just love the cap and his amazing little smile!

After I got back from dropping off Chantal I decided that I needed to make my Pals Paper Arts card for this week’s color challenge…

PPA 218

I had an idea in my head as to what I wanted to do so I set out to see if I could make it happen! My card today is a bit longer than usual, it measures 6″ by 4 1/4″. The base is Crumb Caked Card Stock and so is the background that I embossed with the Woodgrain Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. I decide that I wanted to make a dreamcatcher. I used my Circles Collection Framelits to cut out a piece of Coaster Board and a piece of Hello Honey. Some Linen Thread is looped around the Coaster Board randomly, I wanted it have a simple handmade look, I used the piece of Hello Honey to cover the top. My feathers are from the Four Feathers Stamp Set and are heat embossed with Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder on Blackberry Bliss. I also cut some out of Brushed Gold and adhered them off to the side behind the Blackberry Bliss ones. Some more Linen Thread ties them to the hoop. The greeting is from the “Vintage” Loving Thoughts Stamp Set and is also heat embossed in Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder and cut out with the Bitty Banners Framelits. Stampin’ Dimensional pieces adhere it to the hoop. A few sequins from the Gold Sequin Trim are adhered to the Linen Thread in the hoop and a piece of Post-It Tape holds the string around the back of the card just in case the recipient wants to take it off and hang it. I just can’t stop heat embossing lately can I?! I’m loving the texture that it gives to images and greetings! So there is my late night card for this week’s Pals Paper Arts color challenge. I had fun making the card and I hope that you enjoy it! Thank you for sharing my day with me and I hope you enjoy your Friday! 🙂

Pals Paper Arts 216

That was a nice Friday. Work was manageable and after I came home and crafted for a bit and then watched a little TV. I needed to unwind a bit. The week was a busy one but always worth it. This morning I’m off to see my friend Kim in Manhattan, hopefully the weather with hold out. It was supposed to rain here yesterday but it was just really cloudy. They say that it should clear up around mid-day if it does rain so that’s not too bad. Kim is puppy sitting at a friends on the west side so I’m hoping that I will be able to walk across Central Park. The last time I did that was with Andrew and it was dark and a little on the creepy side! What kinds of things do you all have going on this weekend?!

I decided that today would be Pals Paper Arts day. This week they have cooked up a fun sketch…

PPA 216

Pretty simple but I had some fun with it! The card base for today’s card is Whisper White Card Stock and the background is a piece of Kraft Card Stock that I covered the entire card front with. The two panels are Whisper White on top and a piece of paper from the All Abloom Designer Series Paper Stack on the bottom. I ran a piece of Hello Honey through the Big Shot with the Hexagon Hive Thinlit and used my Paper Snips to trim away some of it to make the strip. The flower is from the Beautiful Bunch Stamp Set and is stamped in Blushing Bride on Blushing Bride, I stamped it one last time in Hello Honey on Hello Honey for the center that I cut out with my Paper Snips. I punched both of the flowers out with the Fun Flower Punch and stacked them on top of one another with Stampin’ Dimensionals.Behind the flower is a piece of Mossy Meadow that I cut out with the Flower Frenzy Bigz L Die. Finally, my greeting is from the Honeycomb Hello Stamp Set and is stamped in Mossy Meadow on a piece of Whisper White that was left over from a previous Hexagon Hive. I love that just making the center of the flower a different color makes it look much more realistic and the way that Kraft somewhat grounds everything. I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Pals Paper Arts sketch challenge! I love having you stop by and I hope that you have a Sumptuous Saturday! (Thanks Grace, LOL!) 🙂
