Freshly Made Sketches 294

The weather was pleasant again here yesterday and so was the ride into the city on the train! I had a very nice visit with Jon and Mary, Jon had a little bit of a cold so he was nice enough to keep his distance! Before I got on the train to come home I did a little shopping. I have a wedding to go to tonight and needed something to wear! My friend Jen is getting married. I used to change her diapers when she was a baby! Boy I’m old! LOL! Should be a fun way to spend a Thursday evening! 😀

The card that I have to share with you today is the one that I made for the wedding! It’s also for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge…

To start the card I stamped some images from the Simon Says Stamp Handwritten Floral Greetings Photopolymer Stamp Set. The flower is stamped onto a piece of Solar White 80lb and the leaves onto some Desert Storm, both in Black. I cut the flower out with my Scissors and adhered it to the Desert Storm panel with 3M Foam Tape. My greeting is from the Simon Says Stamp Hello Beautiful Photopolymer Stamp Set and is also stamped in Black. My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and to that I added a panel of Black 110lb and a strip of Black Glitter Tape. The Desert Storm panel is adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. Just a few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins to give it some shine and the card is done! I really like the flower and leaves in the stamp set and I did try and coordinate the card a little with the invitation! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge! Thank you for coming by today! Have a fun Thursday! 🙂

Paper Craft Crew 250

Hey there! Another morning that started off with some rain but then finished nice and sunny! I got a few things completed that I wanted to finish in the morning. I also got a little cleaning done! Last night I went with Heather and Stephanie to see George play softball. They lost the first game but were winning the second when we left! This morning I’m off to Manhattan again, this time to see Mary! Should be another fun day in the city! 😀

Well, let’s see… it’s Wednesday so time for this week’s Paper Craft Crew challenge…

Today’s card starts off with a card base of Ivory 110lb Card Stock. I stamped the Concord & 9th Barnwood Background Photopolymer Stamp in Soft Vanilla right onto the front. My ice pops are from the Concord & 9th Sweet & Cool Photopolymer Stamp Set, they are stamped in Aquatic, Crimson and Green Apple Hybrid Ink and then heat embossed with Hero Arts Clear Embossing Powder. I used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out. My sticks are cut from some leftover Kraft that I heat embossed with clear using the Hero Arts Designer Woodgrain Background. I adhered the sticks to the popsicles and then them to the card. I stamped my greeting, also from the Sweet & Cool Set, in Cup O Joe. A few Pretty Pink Posh Clear Droplets on the ice pops and the card is done! I love the effect that you get when you clear emboss over the Hybrid ink! They really do look good enough to eat! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see the other cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thank you for coming by to see me! Have a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂

SIP Challenge 105 – Summer Fun!

I had a lovely first half of the day in Manhattan yesterday with Isabella! I missed her! We got all caught up and I got to see her new office too! So nice! I took the 3:07 train home and Taylor picked me up at the train station and we spent the rest of the day together. We ran a few errands and had some sushi for dinner. Today I need to get crafty and make some cards for the week! I also need to get all caught up on my blog comments! I’m way behind!! 😀

Its Tuesday and time for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper challenge…

My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and I used my Mini Ink Blending Tool to add some Lake Shores Ink to give it some subtle color. Next up is a piece of Solar White 80lb that I added Sunkist to and then cut out with the Hero Arts Infinity Circles Dies. That is adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. My boat and greeting are from the Simon Says Stamp Sail Away Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped both with my Mini MISTI and then cut out the sailboat with the Coordinating Dies and adhered it to the card with 3M Foam Tape. The greeting is adhered to a piece of 65lb Vellum that I used the Simon Says Stamp Border Waves to cut the top of. A piece 3M Foam Tape is hidden behind it to adhere it to the card. Just a few Pretty Pink Posh Sea Breeze and Sparkling Clear Sequins complete the card! I love using my inks to make card stock the exact color that I want, so much fun! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! Don’t forget to check out the rest of the Team’s cards over on the BLOG! We hope to see your card in the gallery! Thank you for visiting! Have a terrific Tuesday! 🙂

Paper Craft Crew 249

Wow! It’s Wednesday already?! We did have a very nice day here yesterday with lots of sun! I spent most of the day with Sue working on Etsy stuff. We went to Panera for lunch and I had my grilled cheese and tomato soup! In the evening Jim came by and I made us some nice big salads with grilled chicken, olives, avocado, tomatoes, cucumber, croutons and blue cheese dressing. Taylor came by and chatted with us for a bit and we finished the evening off with a few YouTube videos. Today I have a lot of stuff to get done! I found out that I will be away for the weekend! WEE! 😀

It’s Wednesday and that means it’s time for this week’s Paper Craft Crew challenge…

I was going through my stamps and came across this old but goodie! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the Hero Arts Wave Stencil and my Stencil Brush to apply some Tide Pool Ink to the lower left. Across the lower part is a piece of Copper Tape. My circle is cut from a piece of Blueprint Curious Metallic with the Hero Arts Circle Infinity Dies and adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. The images and greeting are from the Hero Arts July 2016 My Monthly Hero Kit. I stamped the coral and jellyfish in Tide Pool and did the second layer of the jellyfish in Copper Embossing Powder. They are cut out with the Coordinating Frame Cuts and adhered to the circle. My greeting is heat embossed onto a piece of 48lb Vellum with White Hero Arts Embossing Powder and adhered to the card with Kool-Tak Clear Foam Tape. Just a few Pretty Pink Posh Rose Gold Sequins and done! I still love that jellyfish, makes for a nice different image on a card! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a wondrous Wednesday! 🙂

SIP Challenge 104 – Colors!

It started out as a beautiful sunny day but around 5:00 the heavens opened and we had rain for the rest of the evening. I did get a little crafting done in the morning and then ran a few errands in the convertible! I also helped Jim with some computer stuff remotely in the evening and Taylor came by to spend some time with me. Later on we ran to BJ’s with Heather so she could use her coupons before they expired! She is too funny! I’m going to have breakfast with Heather this morning and then over to Sue’s for a little bit to work on some Etsy stuff! 😀

Now it’s time for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge

A nice bright cheery group of colors, wouldn’t you say?! I’m still keeping it simple! To start my card is used my MISTI to stamp the solid part of the “feathers” from the Simon Says Stamp One With Nature Photopolymer Stamp Set in High Dive, Goldenlocks and Hot Mama ink. After they had dried I stamped the outlines in Versa-Mark and heat embossed them with Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder. They are cut out with the Coordinating Dies and adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My greeting is from the same set and is stamped in Hot Mama in the lower right corner. A few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear and Gold Sequins finish the card! I know that the “feathers” are trees but I think they work pretty well! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink. Paper Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and lets see yours in the gallery! Paper Craft Crew 248

It was another hot one here yesterday but I’m not complaining! It’s supposed to be cooler today, but hopefully it won’t stay that way! I puttered around in the morning and in the afternoon I went over to Stephanie’s to dangle my legs in the pool for a while! After that I came back home and Jim stopped by around 5:00. We went next door to see my Parent’s for a bit and then ran to Lowes to look at pond stuff. A little TV before bed and that was my day! 😀

Let’s see… Wednesday and we have a new Paper Craft Crew challenge for you…

As soon as I saw this I knew exactly what I wanted to do! To create my background I stamped the images from the Concord & 9th Many Mandalas Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts Aquatic and Green Apple Hybrid Ink using my MISTI onto a piece of Solar White 80lb. That is then adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. For the greeting I stamped the wishing you onto the card base in Black and then the rest is heat embossed in Hero Arts White onto a piece of Black 110lb. I cut the end on an angle and adhered it to the card with 3M Foam Tape. I hoarded some of the Pretty Pink Posh Share Handmade Kindness Sequins Mix and the colors worked perfectly with the ink so I added a few to complete the card! I love the green and blue together and the mandalas make a nice background! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Inspiration Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! I thank you for stopping by today! Have yourself a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂

Mandala Love

Well, that was a very nice day I had yesterday! Jim and I went to New Hope, PA. The ride down in the convertible was bliss! We did some walking around the Flea Market for a while. It was a gorgeous day, in the 90’s there. We also walked around the town and had lunch at an Irish Restaurant. Jim had his first shandy and the food was really good. We took our time coming back, stopped at a few places along the way. I rested up for the rest of the evening. It’s an early morning today, 4:30 early, I’ll be in Long Beach helping out a friend with some work stuff! 😀

I have another simple Sunday card for you today! It’s looks a lot more complicated than it is. Onto a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock I stamped the images from the Concord & 9th Many Mandalas Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts Wet Cement, Pool and Cup O Joe Ink using my MISTI. The love is die cut using the Concord & 9th Love Always Frame Dies from a piece of American Crafts Silver Glitter Card and two pieces of Solar White 110lb. A piece of 48lb Vellum is cut using the hearts die from the same set. I cut it once and then lined it up and ran it through again to make it longer. The two pieces of Solar White 110lb and Silver Glitter Card are adhered to the card with Multi-Purpose Spray and I sandwiched the hearts in-between the two. A few Silver Pretty Pink Posh Sequins finish the card! It really isn’t complicated but that love die cut and the hearts really steps it up! I hope that you like today’s card! Thank you so much for visiting! Have a simply wonderful Sunday! 🙂

Freshly Made Sketches 291

Ahh the weekend! What a lovely day we had here yesterday! It was in the 80’s and Sunny! I went for a ride with Stephanie in the convertible in the afternoon and hung out with her and Sophie for a while. We played Kid’s Monopoly, that’s a fun little game! I ran a few errands and then Andrew stopped by and so did Jim. We had a nice evening and today Jim and I are headed to New Hope, PA for the day! Just to do something different and get out of New York! Should be a really fun day! I’ll try to remember to take some pictures! 😀

My post for today is for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge…

I dug out and oldie but goodie! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. To create my background I used the Hero Arts Waves Stencil and my Stencil Brush to apply Some Tide Pool Ink to a piece of Solar White 80lb. I trimmed it to match the sketch and adhered it to the card. My goldfish, from the Hero Arts Color Layering Goldfish Photopolymer Stamp Set, is stamped in Light Ruby to Royal Red Ombre Ink for the second layer and the first layer is then stamped in Versa-Mark and heat embossed in Hero Arts Clear Embossing Powder. After I cut him out with the Coordinating Frame Cuts I adhered him to the card with 3M Foam Tape. The greeting is from the Hero Arts Hello Gorgeous Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Black right under my fish. All that was left to do was to add a few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins! I still love that goldfish and the stencil brush makes inking the background easy! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches Challenge! Thank you for stopping by! Have a sensational Saturday! 🙂

Fab Friday 114

Happy Friday my peeps! My Thursday was good! I cleaned my apartment and ran a few errands. Jim came by around 5:00 and we went to grab a quick bite and then saw Wonder Woman. Pretty good flick! We got back to my house around 9:30 and Jim headed home and I went over for the last half of Thirsty Thursday. We had to run to the Vape Shop so that Steph could get some refills and we saw Taylor and her friends there. They were going to a local bar so we met them there for a bit and then called it a night. Who knows what today will bring, but it’s supposed to be nice weather, that’s always good! 😀

It’s a Fab Friday week and this time around we have some colors for you to work with…

I don’t have any of the new Stampin’ Up! colors so I improvised! All of my images and greeting are from the Simon Says Stamp Lovely Spring Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped them in Black, Teal, Catkin, Rosie Cheeks and Hot Mama onto a piece of Solar White 80lb Card Stock. The panel is then adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Lemon Drop and Orchid Sequins to the flower centers and the card is finished! Super simple and I do really just like to stamp some images, that way you get to use all of that colored ink that you have! I hope that you like my Design Team card for the Fab Friday Color Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and we hope to see yours in the gallery! Thank you for stopping by this morning, I’ll be back at 11:00am with my post for this month’s Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th post! Hope you’ll come back! Until then enjoy your morning! 🙂

Paper Craft Crew 246

Happy mid-week already! It was another overcast day here. It didn’t rain until much later in the day but it was cloudy all day. I did a little crafting in the morning and then ran over to Sue’s to drop off some things. I went out to lunch with her and Michael, we had Panera, it’s been forever since I’ve had that! After I got home I watched a little TV and then ran a few errands. This morning I’m going to get crafty again and get some more projects out of the way! 😀

Just as an FYI I’m taking part in the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life this Saturday. I’m part of Meg’s team. My Brother lost his first wife to cancer, she was 29, and I lost one of my best friends, he was 25. We have all had cancer touch our lives in some way. Let’s help put an end to this terrible disease. If you can please click HERE to donate. Thank you!
