Freshly Made Sketches 244

Hello and a very happy Saturday to you all! I guess that going to bed around 2:00AM isn’t such a good idea! My alarm went off at 6:30AM and I was awake… well… briefly, but I did one of those five more minutes things and ended up sleeping until 8:45! Oops! I still managed to get to work by 9:40 and I enjoyed my day at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store! I got caught up on a bunch of stuff in the morning and then my friend Sue came by around 2:00. We chatted with Renee for a bit and then went out and had lunch, some Panera! I got my favorite, tomato soup and grilled cheese! When we got back to the store we rearranged some things and placed some orders. Renee wasn’t feeling well so she left around 6:00 and Sue and I headed out around 6:50. When I got home I had spaghetti for dinner and then ran a few errands before relaxing for a bit watching some craft videos on YouTube. Today there is a crop at the store so I’m going to try and be crafty!

The card that I have to share with you today is for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge…

Freshly Made Sketches 244

This card is actually the first card that I made when I got home on Thursday night! When I sat down to type my post I remembered about Fab Friday and then made that card! Hence the 2:00AM bed time! LOL! The card base for today is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I cut out an oval from a piece of The Paper Cut Amethyst Stardream Metallic with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Ovals Lawn Cuts. It’s adhere to the card with E-Z Runner. My flowers are from the Altenew Golden Garden Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped them in Jet Black, Soft Lilac, Lavender Fields, Deep Iris and Midnight Violet Crisp Inks. They are all cut out with the Coordinating Dies and adhered to the card with Foam Tape and Multi-Matte Medium in a cluster on the right of the oval. I stamped my greeting from the Altenew Beautiful Lady Photopolymer Stamp Set in Jet Black on a strip of Solar White 110lb, cut a funky banner on the left and adhered it to the card with more Foam Tape. A single flower is adhered on the right and I added some Pretty Pink Posh Amethyst, Pansy Purple, Orchid and Sparkling Clear Sequins along with a few Rhinestones for a little bling! We all know that it wouldn’t be jk card without a few sequins! LOL! I must say that I’m loving the loose sketch look of the flowers in the Golden Garden Set, especially in the purples! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge! Thank you for your continued visits! I wish you all a spectacular Saturday! 🙂

Freshly Made Sketches 243 & MMH Sneak Peek 2!

MMH_Logo_TB

Oh we are gearing up for a nice long weekend here! It was an overcast day on Long Island but that didn’t dampen any of the fun at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store! Renee and Angie were there and we crafted the day away! Around 4:30 the heavens opened up and it bucketed down! My trusty Dark Sky App let me know that I would have a window around 6:00 to make a break for the car and head home so that’s just what I did! Around 7:30 Anthony and Bill came by to get me so that we could go and have some Friday’s! I had a nice New York bacon cheeseburger and it was delicious! The fries were well done, just how I like them too! Once back home I crafted for a bit before watching a little TV. Today I have a bunch of things to get finished before the store is closed for two days! Not that I will not be doing any work! LOL!

Today I have my second sneak peek of the July My Monthly Hero Kit to share with you! It’s also for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge…

Freshly Made Sketches 243

Today’s card all started with another Ink Blended Background! I used my Mini Ink Blending Tool to add Hero Arts Cornflower Ink to a piece of Neenah Solar White 80lb Card Stock. The two images are from the Main Stamp Set from the Kit. They are Color Layering Jellyfish and are stamped in Soft Pink for the first layer and a new just too cool for words Ombre Ink Pad for the second layer. I adhered a piece of Fun Foam to the back of the panel to get it ready to add to the base. That base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and along the bottom I stamped some of the Coral from The Main Stamp Set in more of that super cool Ombre Ink! My main panel is then adhered to the card base. The greeting is again from the Main Stamp Set and is heat embossed onto a piece of Vellum with Hero Arts White Embossing Powder. A little Kool-Tak Clear Foam Tape holds it to the card. Finally I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear, Ballerina Pink and Pansy Purple Sequins to complete the card! I must be in a tropical frame of mind with all of my Ink Blended Backgrounds in the gorgeous soft blues, pinks and purples! I hope that you enjoyed your second sneak peek at the July My Monthly Hero Kit and my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge! You can purchase the Kit staring on July 5th at 1:00PM EST directly from Hero Arts! Thanks for coming by and I’ll have another look at the goodies in the Kit tomorrow! Have a simply marvelous Saturday! 🙂

Paper Players 301 & Special Sneak Peek!!

MMH_Logo_TB

A very happy Friday to you all! The weather here has been just amazing this week! I keep sneaking out of the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store to enjoy some sunshine! Renee was off yesterday enjoying a day with her children so I was manning the fort alone! I did have quite a few visitors! My friend Dianne stopped by and another friend that I haven’t seen in a long came by too and we had a nice long chat and g0t all caught up! Customers were in and out all day picking up special orders and discovering new goodies! Oh how I love my job!! When I got home my Parent’s were still out at my Brother’s spending time with Daniel so I had a sandwich for dinner and then headed over to see Heather for a the evening. We ran out and did a few errands and then just sat outside and enjoyed the evening! And here we are at the end of the week before a nice long Holiday weekend! I have off on Sunday and Monday! YAY! I can catch up on some things around the house! LOL! 😛

Today I have a very special treat for you! I have a sneak peek of the My Monthly Hero Kit for July and it is just awesome! You are going to love it! I can’t stop playing with it! So many cool goodies! As soon as the kit goes on sale July 5th at 1:00pm EST you are going to have to move fast because it’s going to go QUICK! The first card that I made with the kit also happens to be for this week’s Paper Players sketch challenge…

Paper Players #301

To create my card today I took a piece of Neenah Solar White 80lb Card Stock cut to 6″ x 4 3/4″. To it, I added some Hero Arts Cornflower, Soft Lilac and Soft Pink Ink with a Ranger Mini Ink Blending tool creating a nice Ombre background (I was inspired by one of the items in the kit!). On background I stamped a few of the images from the cool Stamp Set in Hero Arts Charcoal Ink. The panel is then trimmed to 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ and  adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My turtle is also from the stamp set and is stamped in Hero Arts Wet Cement Ink, there are coordinating dies for the stamps but I used my trusty Scissors for this guy! A piece of Vellum has one of the greetings from the set heat embossed in Hero Arts Platinum Embossing Powder. I put a little Foam Tape on the back of the turtle to adhered him to the Vellum and then another layer behind the Vellum to adhere my panel to the card. A piece of twine is tied in a bow around the lower half of the Vellum and some Kool-Tak Clear Foam Tape is placed behind the greeting to keep everything in place! Just for a little sparkle I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins around the turtle and the card is done! I love that turtle, isn’t he neat?! The shadow images of the fish and turtles against that cool background are so much fun too! See, didn’t I tell you that it was awesome! I hope that you enjoyed your little sneak peek of the July My Monthly Hero Kit and my card for this week’s Paper Players Challenge! I’ll have more sneak peeks of the Kit through Tuesday, July 5th when it officially launches on the Hero Arts Store! You can see even more sneak peeks over at the Hero Arts Blog so be sure and check that out too! Thank you for coming by today to share in some of my excitement and I wish you all a fantastic Friday! 🙂

Sue’s Birthday Card!

Hello my friends! How is your week going? Mine is pretty busy but we all know that I like it like that! LOL! Yesterday Sue came by the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store to help me out for a while. We unpacked and got orders put out and ordered more stuff! Renee had her Christmas Card Club and her peeps stopped by to make their cards and pick up some goodies from me! After work I stopped by Heather’s and picked up something that I had left there this morning when I stopped by for breakfast! Then I came home and had a little dinner with my Parents. After dinner I spent some time working on a few projects in the Stampin’ Galley, yes, I can never get enough craftiness in my day! LOL! Starting tomorrow I have some VERY exciting things to share with you! You won’t want to miss it some make sure that you come by! I’m a little giddy about it so you know it has to be good!

In honor of Sue’s visit to the store I have her Birthday card from last week to share with you today! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My flowers are from the Altenew Botanical Garden Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the main flower in Hero Arts Intense Black Ink onto a piece of Canson 140lb Watercolor Card using my Mini MISTI. I did a few times to make sure that I got a nice dark clean image. To color it in I used my Gansai Tambi Watercolors and a Waterbrush. In between layers I used my Heat Tool to dry the layers and when I was finished I used the Coordinating Dies to cut it out. On the card front I stamped another image from the set twice to serve as a subtle background. My frame is a piece of Gold Mirror Card that I cut out using the Spellbinders Triple Tear Nestabilities Die. A little Multi-Matte Medium Holds the frame in place and some Foam Tape adheres the die cut flower to the card. My greeting is from the Altenew Painted Greetings Photopolymer Stamp Set and is also stamped in Intense Black. Finally some Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear, Gold and Raspberry Sequins are added around the flower for some more shine! I do love the simple feel to the card and the way the watercolor flower just leaps off the front! I hope that you enjoyed Sue’s Birthday as much as she did! Don’t forget to come back tomorrow for my little surprise! Thanks so much for visiting today! Have a tantalizing Thursday! 🙂

Fab Friday 90

A very happy Friday to all of my peeps! What a nice day I had yesterday! I spent the morning getting the rest of Renee’s computer issues straightened out, 2 hours of my life I won’t get back! Thanks Microsoft! LOL! Sue stopped by the store so I got to wish her a Happy Birthday in person and give her her card! Renee got her a little chocolate cupcake too! Sandy stopped by to say hi and we played with some Altenew stamps. After they left I set out to make my card for last night’s Intro to Altenew class at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store! Nothing like cutting it close! There were 10 people scheduled and 14 showed up! YAY! We had so much fun and everyone left with a beautiful card and bunches of Altenew goodies so they can recreate their art at home! Bill stopped by on his way to say hello, love a visit from him! On my way home I stopped by Heather’s for a low key Thirsty Thursday. Brian was there and we sat and chatted and laughed as always! I got home around 11:30 and then set out to make my card for today! I don’t think that I have been to bed before 1:00AM in over a month but it’s all good!

The card that I made is for the Fab Friday Challenge! This time we have some colors…

Fab Fri 90 6-24-2016

A little patriotic, just in time for the 4th! My card is nice and simple! I have been really enjoying playing with die cuts lately! It’s all the My Monthly Hero Kit from this months fault! 😀 The base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I adhered a piece of postage themed Washi Tape down the left side. The die cuts are from the Spellbinders Feather Shapeablilities, Hipster 1 and Hipster 2 Die D-Lites. I cut them from Real Red, Tempting Turquoise, Pacific Point and Night of Navy. My greeting is form the Hero Arts Many Everyday Messages Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder. I adhered the phone and feather to the card with Dot Runner and the greeting banner and coffee cup with Foam Tape. It needed a little something else so I added Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins and a few Studio Calico Wood Veneer Stars. I love the phone and coffee cup die cuts and I need to get some more of the Wood Veneer Stars! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for the Fab Friday Color Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thank you for taking the time to stop by and check out my latest! Have a fabulous Friday! 🙂

Paper Craft Crew 200!

Ahh… Wednesday! Always seems to be the busiest day of the week for me lately! My Tuesday was a pretty busy one too! The Stamp, Ink, Paper Store was very busy! Renee has been having issues with her Dell Computer running Windows… need I say more?! After about an hour on the phone with Microsoft they finally determined that it was the last update that messed up the computer so we had to roll it back to fix it. I concentrated on getting some more orders in and working with my Rep on a  few things. The weather was just lovely again, the convertible makes me such a happy boy! When I got home from the store Daniel was still at my Parent’s and it was National Selfie Day so he and I haven’t had a selfie in a long time! Here is our contribution…

Daniel & Me NSD

Oh how I love that little boy! After I had some dinner I headed over to see my friend Sue! She was having some computer issues too so I got that straightened out and we sat and chatted for a bit on the front steps. When I got home I had to finish my card for today, last minute as usual! I need to work on my planning a little more! Today will be super busy at the store! I have Concord & 9th, Altenew and Notions arriving! Just in time for my class tomorrow! YAY!

Today is a special Wednesday post for the Paper Craft Crew Challenge! It’s our 200th one!! I am happy to say that I have been playing along since challenge 7!! Here is this week’s sketch…

PCCCS200 DT Sketch 6-22-2016

I wanted to play with my Hero Arts Seahorse again but I hadn’t used purple in a while so I Googled just to make sure that there are purple Seahorses and there are! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My background is a piece of paper from the Bo Bunny Believe 12×12 Paper Line, it’s the Devotion sheet. Next up I used the Lawn Fawn Cross Stitched Rectangles Stackables to cut out a piece of Ballerina Pink and Cyber Grape. The pink is adhered to the card with E-Z Runner. On my purple piece I used the seaweed from the Hero Arts Color Layering Goldfish Photopolymer Stamp Set and heat embossed them in Ranger Silver Pearl Embossing Powder. That panel is then adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. I then adhered some purple and silver glitter tape to some Solar White 80lb and adhered that to the card on diagonals crossing each other. A piece of Pale Aqua is cut out with the Lawn Fawn Cross Stitched Circles Stackables and adhered to the card with more E-Z Runner. My images are all from the Hero Arts Color Layering Seahorse Photopolymer Stamp Set. The Seahorse is stamped in Passion Flower, Grape Juice and Intense Black, the Starfish in Wet Cement and Cup O Joe and the Shell in Soft Pink and Wet Cement. They are all cut out with the Coordinating Dies and adhered to the circle. My greeting is from the Hero Arts Many Everyday Messages Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts Silver Embossing Powder on more Ballerina Pink and tucked under the circle. Of course I added some Pretty Pink Posh Silver, Pink Peony and Amethyst Sequins for a little sparkle! I love that patterned paper and the super cool Seahorse! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for the 200th Challenge over on the Paper Craft Crew blog! There is some blog candy and all sorts of other goodness going on over on the BLOG so go and check it out! While you’re there make a card and enter it in the gallery to help us celebrate! SIP Challenge 53 – CASE the Designer!

We have had a great run of weather lately! Sunny and mild here again yesterday and my car is loving it! It was another good day at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store! I got a lot of administrative things done and also found out that putting orders together at 12:45AM is not such a good idea! Thankfully I have a great Rep and she corrected my mistakes! It’s always good to have a second pair of eyes! I left the store around 6:30 and headed over to Heather’s. She had an amazing dinner waiting for me and a much needed glass of wine! We chatted and I worked on some store stuff while she did her school paper. It’s funny how you can sometimes get so much more accomplished when you have some company! Today I have lots of stuff to work on at the store! I have to decide what I’m doing for next month’s Card Class and get some samples made and I also have to get ready for Thursday’s Intro to Altenew Class. Such fun work I have to do! 😀

It’s Tuesday and that means that I’m over on the Stamp, Ink, Paper Blog for this week’s challenge…

SIP Case Challenge 53 800

Now there is a fun and different challenge! While I was at the store yesterday I was digging around in the drawers in the back and came across some dies. I decided that I would put them together to make my card! The card base is Solar White 80lb Card Stock cut to 3 1/2″ wide. The filmstrip is cut from some Battleship Gray with one of the dies from the My Mind’s Eye Hello World Dies Set. I adhered it to the card with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. My three feathers are cut from Pale Aqua, Tropical Sea and Gold Mirror Card using the feather die from the My Mind’s Eye On Trend Die Set. I adhered the feathers to each other and to the card with Dot Runner Adhesive. The banner is a piece of Slate with the right side flagged and that is adhered to the card with Foam Tape. My greeting is cut from some more Gold Mirror Card using a word die from the Paper Smooches Christmas Words 2 Die Set and that is adhered to the banner with more Spray Adhesive. I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear and Gold and some Hazel and Ruby The Makery Green with Envy Sequins to finish the card. Sometimes it’s fun to use some random die cuts to make a fun card, don’t you think?! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper CASE the Designer Challenge! Head on over to the BLOG and see the rest of the Design Team’s cards, including our newest resident Crystal! Don’t forget to play along by entering your card in the gallery! Mojo Monday 453

Hello my people and welcome to the beginning of another week! I hope that you all enjoyed your weekend and that you got to spend some time with family! I woke up super late yesterday! I think that the previous three days finally caught up with me! I had to help out my neighbor with his new printer before I headed over to the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store. It was another lovely day here on Long Island so it was a top down day all day! Angie, Renee and I got some things done and I left the store around 1:00 to head out to my brother’s to spend Father’s day with him, and the rest of the family! Here is a picture of Taylor, Me, my Dad, my Brother Jason and little Daniel!

Father's Day 2016

Three generations of Krieger’s! Jason made a really good dinner and Erika made my favorite, Couscous! Around 5:15 I headed back home to let Winston out and I ran a few errands before coming back to make my card for today and then work on some orders for the store! I have my Intro to Altenew this Thursday so I have to get ready for that!

Starting off another week my favorite way… playing along wth the rest of the Design Team for this week’s Mojo Monday sketch…

Mojo453

My obsession with ink blending and stamp layering sets continues! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I masked off where the two diagonal pieces of paper would go and used my Mini Ink Blending Tool and applied some Mermaid Lagoon to the bottom and Mustard Seed to the top. After I removed the mask I adhered a piece of Hello Honey and Tangerine Tango for my diagonal pieces. A few clusters of grass are stamped in Hero Arts Green Apple Hybrid Ink. The center panel is a piece of Tim Holtz Watercolor Card that I added some Mustard Seed and Spiced Marmalade to after I cut it out with the Lawn Fawn Cross Stitched Rectangles Stackables Lawn Cuts. It’s then adhered to the card with E-Z Runner and Fun Foam. That gorgeous Flamingo is from the Hero Arts Color Layering Flamingo Photopolymer Stamp Set. I used my Mini MISTI to stamp it in Pale Tomato, Unicorn White and heat set that, White Dye Ink and heat set that and then stamped the final layer in Ultra Pink. The beak, eye and legs are stamped in Intense Black and then he’s die cut with the Coordinating Frame Cut and adhered to the card with Multi-Matte Medium and Foam Tape. My greeting is from the same set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto a piece of 46lb Vellum. I flagged the right side and adhered it to the card with Kool-Tak Clear Foam Tape. Yup, I just had to add some Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear, Pumpkin and Marigold Sequins! I do love the mix of bright colors and the awesome Flamingo! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Design Team’s fabulous cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thank you for starting your week off here with me! I wish you all a magnificent Monday! 🙂

Elegant Feather Thanks

Happy Father’s Day!! To celebrate I’ll be heading out to my Brother’s house in the afternoon with Taylor and the rest of the family! We had a fun day yesterday at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store! Jen Starr came by to teach a few classes for Scrap-A-Latte using Viva Decor products! The attendees all had a great time and made some amazing projects! I love Jen, she’s such nice and funny person! Angie and I did some rearranging in the store and cleaned up a bit too. All in all a very productive day! I needed some down time when I got home so I watched some clips of Graham Norton on YouTube, he’s a funny guy! What are all of you up to for Father’s Day?!

I made a quick card late last night to share with you today! The card base is the usual Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I heat embossed one of the large feathers from the Hero Arts Feathers Photopolymer Stamp Set with Hero Arts Clear Ultra Fine Embossing Powder onto a piece of Tim Holtz Watercolor Card. To give it a nice pop of color I applied some Twisted Citron and Mermaid Lagoon Distress Ink with my Mini Ink Blending Tool and then used the Coordinating Dies to cut it out. The thanks and greeting are from the Hero Arts Thanks Stamp & Cut Photopolymer Stamp Set. I die cut the thanks from the same Watercolor Card along with a piece of Fun Foam and adhered them to each other and the card with Elmer’s Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. The feather is adhered to the card with E-Z Runner in the middle. I added some Pretty Pink Posh Peacock Feathers and Sparkling Clear Sequins with a few Clear Drops to add some sparkle! I had forgotten about my love of feathers but when I saw this set I just had to have it and I love it in the Distress colors! I hope that you enjoyed my card for today! Thanks for stopping by and Happy Father’s Day once again! 🙂

Freshly Made Sketches 241

What day is today?! LOL! It was another late night at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store with the second night of the June Lawn Fawn Card Class! Night two was just as much fun! We all had a great time and my friend Maggie came all the way out from Manhattan to take the class! I picked her up at the train station and then dropped her off before heading home for the evening. I do so love to get see all of the talented card makers and newbies making the cards and letting me know which ones are their favorites! I think that it was a tie between the shaker and the slider this month! We also tried a new format for getting the cards done, I think it worked better than previous months but I’ll have to see what the feedback is from the classes. After all, it’s all about making it a great experience for the people that take the class! Today we have Jen Starr coming to teach a few classes for Scrap-A-Latte, I’m looking forward to seeing her! She’s a great teacher and a really funny person!

The card that I have for you today is my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge…

Freshly Made Sketches 241

I stamped and die cit my images at the store and then put the card together when I got home last night! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I embossed a piece of Soft Sky with the We R Memory Keepers Waves Next Level 3D Embossing Folder and adhered that to the card with E-Z Runner. Across the bottom is a piece of Pacific Point with the sentiment from the Hero Arts Color Layering Seahorse Photopolymer Stamp Set heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder. That too is adhered to the card with E-Z Runner. The images are from the same stamp set, I stamped the seahorse in Soft Pool, Pool and Deep Ocean, the large shell in Soft Brown and Cup O Joe and the small one in Wet Cement and Butter Bar. They are all cut out with the Coordinating Frame Cuts and adhered to the card with Foam Tape. It needed just a little sparkle so I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Sand, Aquamarine and Sparkling Clear Sequins. I love the Hero Arts Color Layering sets and the new 4 packs of ink that coordinate perfectly with them are great too! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge! Thank you for coming by today! I wish you all the best Saturday ever! 🙂
