Paper Craft Crew 188

And how is your week going? We are at the halfway point and mine is going well. Yesterday I had a pretty busy day, just the way that I like them! I FaceTimed with Andrea in the morning and then had a little lunch with my parents. Around 1:30 I stopped at A. C. Moore, I had a $10 rewards certificate that I just had to get rid of! I bought another bead storage container for sequins and other embellies, it’s the one with the bigger compartments this time. From there I stopped and got some gas and then headed over to Scrap-A-Latte to visit Renee for a little while. We had a nice chat and she shared some of her home-made peach strudel with me. After that I headed over to Deer Park to pick up Bill. He had to drop off Anthony’s van to be fixed, there is a problem with the wheelchair ramp. I drove Bill back to Anthony’s and visited with them for a bit before heading over to Heather’s. We went and had dinner at Applebee’s and then stopped at Lowes so I could get some hardware to hang her new chandelier. After that was finished we watched a little TV and had a laughing fit that lasted about 20 minutes! They are the best aren’t they?! I got home around 12:30 and that was my day!

Today I have my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge…

PCCCS188 DT Sketch 3-30-3016

My card starts with a base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. Across the lower half is a piece of Copper Glitter Tape. The two panels are pieces of paper from the Heidi Swapp Dreamy 6×6 Paper Pad. I used the Lawn Fawn 4Bar Stitched Rectangles to cut them out. A piece of Blushing Bride that is cut with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Scalloped Borders Lawn Cuts is adhered to the left side of the smaller panel and they are both adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. My circle is cut from a piece of “Vintage” Summer Starfruit with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Circles Lawn Cuts. I heat embossed my greeting from the Hero Arts Many Everyday Messages Photopolymer Stamp Set in Ranger Copper Embossing Powder onto a piece of Balck 110lb. It’s adhered to the card with Foam Tape. The fun flower is a Wooden Embellishment from Recollections. I coated the front in Versa-Mark and heat embossed it with more of the Copper Powder, it’s adhered with Multi-Matte Medium along with a few Pretty Pink Posh Bronze and Onyx Sequins. I love the copper with fun muted brights on the paper and the sparkle of the glitter tape is a nice added touch! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Head on over to the BLOG to see what the rest of the Team has come up with to inspire you and enter your card in the gallery! Thank you very much for visiting me today! Have a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂

Mojo Monday 441

I had a very low key relaxing Easter. My parent’s went to my Sister-In-Law’s parent’s house and I stayed home. I crafted, boy did I craft! I made four cards! I would have made more but I kept taking TV breaks! LOL! I also managed to get my laundry done! I was a pretty productive day despite the laid back feel! I hope that you all enjoyed your Easter and that you either had a nice quiet relaxing day like me or got to spend lots of time with family and friends!

It’s Monday and that means that it’s time for this week’s Mojo Monday sketch…

Mojo441

Yup, I played with some new goodies! My card starts off with a base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the entire front covered in a piece of Black 110lb. I used the Simon Says Stamp Diagonal Strip Background with some Simon Says Stamp Thistle Ink on a piece of Solar White 80lb for the left side of my background. It’s adhered to another piece of Solar White 80lb and that is adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. The main panel is another piece of Solar White 80lb. I stamped the flowers form the Hero Arts Color Layering For You Flowers Photopolymer Stamp Set in Simon Says Stamp Thistle and Hot Mama and Hero Arts Grape Juice Ink. The leaves are stamped in Simon Says Stamp Lucky and Green Leaf. I adhered it to a piece of Black 110lb and then that is adhered to the card with more Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. My circle is cut out with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Circles Lawn Cuts and the butterfly is from the Hero Arts Butterfly Pair Stamp and Cut Photopolymer Stamp Set in Mot Mama. The die is cool because it cuts out the wings but leaves the body attached. I fluffed up the wings and adhered it to the card with E-Z Runner and Foam Tape. My greeting is from the For You Flowers Set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder on Black 110lb. I adhered it to the card with more E-Z Runner and Foam Tape tucking some of it under the butterfly wing. Some Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear, Amethyst and Shamrock Sequins are adhered with Multi-Matte Medium and complete the card! I absolutely love the flowers especially in the purples, I haven’t used purple in a long time! I hope that you enjoy my Design Team card for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see what the rest of the Team has to inspire you! Don’t forget to enter your card in the gallery! Thank you so much for starting your week off here with me! I wish you all a very very happy Monday! 🙂

Flutter Beautiful Bouquet

Hey there! I hope that your weekend is off to a great start! I enjoyed my time at Scrap-A-Latte yesterday! Renee usually does some kind of special when I’m there minding the shop and yesterday she posted on FaceBook that if you mentioned the post you got 20% off your purchase! Pretty cool! My parents brought Daniel by to see me and a little while later Brian stopped by with Izzy! Nice to have some visitors along with the customers! I FaceTimed with Andrea and updated my old MacBook Pro that I haven’t turned on in over a year! Still runs pretty well considering it’s over seven years old! On my way home I stopped by Heather’s so we could run up to IKEA once again! LOL! She had to get some greenery and a chandelier! Once I got back to my house I had dinner and watched a little TV before bed. Today I’ll be spending the day at The Ink Pad with the lovely Barbara! Come on by and say hi!

So I got some new goodies from Concord & 9th, love that company! I needed to play with them so that’s what yielded today’s card! The base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I covered the entire front with a piece of Black 110lb. Next I took a piece of Tim Holtz Watercolor Card and used my Spellbinders Artisan Explorer Machine to emboss the Concord & 9th Bouquet Die into the paper. I used Tumbled Glass, Mowed Lawn, Worn Lipstick, Wilted Violet and Picked Raspberry Distress Markers colored onto an acrylic block along with my paintbrush and some water to loosely trace over the die lines. It’s trimmed down a little and adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. My butterfly is cut from a piece of Vellum with the Concord & 9th Floral and Flutter Dies. I cut it again from some more Black 110lb and then trimmed off the wings and adhered the body to the Vellum with Multi-Matte Medium. It’s then adhered to the card with a thin sliver of Foam Tape. The greeting is cut from still more Black 110lb using the Concord & 9th Beautiful You Dies and that is also adhered to the card with Multi-Matte Medium. Finally what card would be complete without a few Aquamarine and Sparkling Clear Pretty Pink Posh Sequins?! I do love the Concords & 9th Dies, especially that butterfly, so nice and different! I hope that you enjoyed my card that I created for you today! Thank you so much for coming by! Have a stupendous Saturday! 🙂

Global Design Project 28

Happy Friday my friends! It was a little chilly here yesterday and today we are supposed to get rain. I’ll be at Scrap-A-Latte for the day so Renee can have a little time to herself. Yesterday I crafted in the morning with Andrea via FaceTime and then went over and had lunch with Brian, Kim and the kiddies. When I got back home I saw Daniel for a little bit and then continued crafting. Around 7:00 Heather called and asked if I wanted to take a ride to IKEA to get a new desk with her so I gladly went. I put the desk together when we got back to her place and then updated her Mac for her. I also installed the software so that she can scan wirelessly. That made her a happy girl! I really do enjoy spending time with my peeps more than anything else!

For today’s card I thought that I would try out a new challenge, the Global Design Project

GDP028 Jess Williams CASE

I took some of the layout from the card and made a fun little peeps wreath! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I took a piece of Solar White 80lb and used my Mini Ink Blending Tool to add a little Simon Says Stamp Audrey Blue to serve as a backdrop for my wreath. The panel is mounted to a piece of Black 110lb and that is then adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. The wreath is cut from some Tim Holtz Watercolor Card using the Simon Says Stamp Chisholm Wreath. I added some Gathered Twigs with an Ink Blending tool and adhered it to the card with Elmer’s Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. My peeps are from the Simon Says Stamp My Kind of Peep Photopolymer Stamp Set. They are heat embossed in Simon Says Stamp Clear Fine Detail Embossing Powder on more Watercolor Card and cut out with the Coordinating Dies. To color them in I used Abandoned Coral, Mermaid Lagoon and Twisted Citron Distress Markers scribbled onto a clear acrylic block and picked up with a wet paintbrush. I adhered them to the wreath with Foam Tape and added the eyes and noses with a Black Glaze Gel Pen. A few Pretty Pink Posh Aquamarine, Lime Sorbet and Sparkling Clear Sequins are added to the wreath in between the peeps. Finally my greeting, also from the same stamp set, is stamped in Onyx Black in the lower right corner. I still am loving those peeps and they look pretty neat watercolored! I hope that you enjoyed my first card for the Global Design Team Project challenge! Thanks for stopping by and have a fun filled Friday! 🙂

Paper Players 287

What an amazingly gorgeous day here yesterday! I had the top down in the car and it was glorious! It’s funny how just driving in my convertible makes everything right with the world again! I FaceTimed with Andrea a bit in the morning and then went over to see Heather for lunch. She grilled up some chicken and we had delicious salads! When I got back to the house I went next door to see Daniel for a little bit, he was going with my parents to Carvel to get ice cream, his favorite! Around 4:30 Heather came by and we ran to BJ’s and Target to pick up a few things, she dropped me back home and Danielle was supposed to stop by but she got stuck at work so I headed back over to Heather’s. She surprised me with an amazing dinner! We all like a little food porn from time to time, almost as much as some people love regular porn from sources including https://www.nu-bay.com/categories/56/ass, so here it is…

Heather Dinner 3-23-2016

Chicken Français with baby potatoes and a nice salad! It really was delicious! After dinner we ran to Big Lots and then came back and I had a walnut brownie with a nice cup of coffee. Such a lovely day!

Today I have my card for this week’s Paper Players challenge to share with you…

Paper Players #287

I went super clean and simple! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My flower and leaves are from the Hero Arts Color Layering Hibiscus Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the flower in Hero Arts Butter Bar, Ultra Pink and Raspberry Jam with the center stamped in Butter Bar. The leaves are stamped in Simon Says Stamp Green Leaf and Olive and then all of them are cut out with my Scissors. I adhered the leaves to the card with E-Z Runner, positioned my flower and then stamped my greeting from the Hero Arts Share Handmade Kindness Photopolymer Stamp Set in Onyx Black. The flower and stamen are then adhered to the card with Foam Tape. You know that I had to add a few Pretty Pink Posh Marigold, Pumpkin and Shamrock Sequins for a little something extra! I say it all the time but I love the Hero Arts Color Layering Sets, I wanted my flower to have a bit of a graphic appearance and I’m quite happy with the results! I really hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Paper Players challenge! Thanks so much for stopping by to see me today! Have a fantastic Thursday! 🙂

Paper Craft Crew 187

What a day yesterday was. I have been trying to sell an iPhone 5S on eBay. The first time to sold over two weeks ago the guy never paid for it and then it turned out to be a fraudulent account. That took way too long to resolve! I re-listed it and someone hit the Buy it Now button and they didn’t pay either. I emailed them 6 times and finally they sent an email back saying that they changed their mind. Umm… that’s not how eBay works! So I give up! I had Subway with Heather for lunch, she made me laugh, always does! I did manage to get in some crafty time and Taylor and Kiera stopped by for a bit. Andrew came over around 5:45 and we headed up to the mall. Some Chipotle for dinner and then off to see Allegiant which was very good by the way! So after a somewhat annoying morning I did manage to end the day on a nice note!

The craftiness that I have to share with you today is for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch…

PCCCS187 DT Sketch 3-24-2016

Yup, I have been plying with my Lawn Fawn a lot again, I really do just love the images and sentiments! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb cut to 4 1/4″ wide. I used the Lawn Fawn Stitched Squares to cut out a piece of Pacific Point and Solar White 80lb. I then used the Lawn Fawn Forest Border Lawn Cuts to cut out my trees on the White. The green is Mowed Lawn Distress Ink applied with a Mini Ink Blending Tool. I added a little bit of Pine Needles Distress Ink to the trees and then adhered the green to the blue and then adhered the whole panel to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. The Lawn Fawn Stitched Ovals are used to cut out a piece of Tempting Turquoise and Chocolate Chip. The Chocolate Chip is cut again across the middle using the Simple Stitched Hillside Borders and adhered to the Tempting Turquoise. All of the images and greetings are from the Lawn Fawn Lovable Legends Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the Yeti in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored him in with Copics flicking in some of the darker gray to give the appearance of fur. The trees are stamped in Simon Says Stamp Green Leaf and the footprints in Simon Says Stamp Khaki. They are all cut out with the Coordinating Lawn Cuts. I then heat embossed the greeting onto the Chocolate Chip and another piece with Hero Arts White Embossing Powder. The unbelievable is cutout with the Lawn Fawn Just for You Labels Lawn Cuts. My trees are adhered with E-Z Runner and the Yeti, footprints and unbelievable are adhered with Foam Tape. A few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins make for some nice stars in the dusky sky! I really do love that Lovable Legends Set, isn’t the Yeti just too cute?! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge! SIP Challenge 40 – Tic-Tac-Toe from Lisa!

Well, the snow is all gone! It was a nice day yesterday, not warm but sunny. I spent most of the day deciding what to do, don’t you just hate that?! I FaceTimed with Andrea, wished her a Happy Birthday and we crafted for a bit. Taylor and Kiera stopped by, they watched a little TV and I went over to my parent’s to eat dinner. When I got back home I watched some TV and crafted a bit more. I said that it was going to be a relaxing day. Tonight I’m going to the movies with Andrew to see Allegiant. That should be fun!

Today I’m over on the Stamp, Ink, Paper blog for this week’s challenge… a Tic-Tac-Toe from Lisa…

SIP 40 Tic-Tac-Toe Lisa 800

I went directly across the middle! Sequins and gold and I was sold! LOL! My card base is a piece of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the Lawn Fawn Large Stitched Rectangles to cut out a piece of paper from the Recollections Midnight Magic 6×6 Pad and a also a piece of Acetate. The heart is cut out from the gold paper with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Heart Stackables. I adhered the Acetate to the back of the gold paper with E-Z Runner and then added Foam Tape to the back of that. Some Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear, Gold and Ballerina Pink Sequins are placed inside and a piece of Black 110lb is adhered to the back of that. The panel is then attached to the card base with more E-Z Runner. All of the images and greeting are from the Lawn Fawn Happy Wedding Photopolymer Stamp Set and are stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black. I used my Copics to color them in and the coordinating Lawn Cuts to cut them out. The greeting is stamped in Onyx Black along with the music notes, the hearts in Simon Says Stamp Rosie Cheeks Ink, it’s then cut out with the Lawn Fawn Everyday Sentiment Banners Lawn Cuts. I adhered all of the pieces to the card with Foam Tape. Some Uni-ball Gold Gel Pen colors in the hearts on the cake and a little Glossy Accents added to the champagne glasses gives them a little shine! I love that little wedding set and the new banners dies are perfect for so many of the Lawn Sentiments! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! Head on over to the BLOG and see what the rest of the talented Design Team has come up with to inspire you and add your card to the gallery! Mojo Monday 440

Yes, it was the first day of Spring yesterday and yes, it snowed here last night! I think that Mother Nature is a little confused! Most of the day was nice and sunny, a little chilly but not bad. Then last night… snow! I’m over it, totally! LOL! I did enjoy my day at The Ink Pad with Jane yesterday. We had Dirty Bird for lunch… YUM! There was a steady flow of customers and I played a little with the Distress Crayons, I think that I really like them! The train ride home was nice too, not that many people on it. I had a little nap and then ate dinner at my Parent’s before coming home and crafting for a bit. Today is a little bit of a relaxed day! I want to wish my friend Andrea a very Happy Birthday!! Can’t wait to craft with you today!

I wanted to mention that The Ink Pad is chartering a bus to go to the Allentown Rubber Stamp Show on April 2nd. You can find out more info by clicking HERE to visit The Ink Pad’s web site! Be sure to tell them that Justin sent you! 🙂

Starting another week means a new Mojo Monday sketch…

Mojo440

The other day I sat down and stamped a few of the Goldfish from Hero and one of them made it on to today’s card! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. For the background I used the We R Memory Keepers Next Level Wave Embossing Folder on a piece of Mint Macaroon and two pieces of Pool Party. I adhered the Mint Macaroon panel to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner with a strip of Coastal Cabana across the middle. The two panels of Pool Party are adhered the same way and were embossed so that the pattern would line up. My Goldfish, well Black Moor really, is from the Hero Arts Color Layering Goldfish Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped it in Simon Says Stamp Smoke and Black Ink and then used the first layer to stamp it in Versa-Mark and heat embossed it with Simon Says Stamp Clear Fine Detail Embossing Powder. I’m still waiting for the dies so I used my Scissors to cut him out. A circle is cut from a piece of Vellum Card Stock using the Sizzix Circles Framelits. The Molly is then adhered to the Vellum with Foam Tape, some more Foam Tape is added behind the Molly and then the circle is adhered to the card. I heat embossed the greeting from the Simon Says Stamp Sending Happy Thoughts Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder on another piece of Vellum and punched it out with a 1″ Circle Punch. It’s adhered above the fish with more Foam Tape. Finally a few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins are added and the card is done! I’m loving that Goldfish Stamp Set, especially in the grey and black and the embossing folder… well, I can’t say enough about them! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge! Fab Friday 83

Let’s see… what is today?! Why I think that it’s FRIDAY!! Yesterday was a pretty nice day here. There were a few brief showers but in between I managed to get the top down in the car! I ran some errands with Heather and then spent a little time with Daniel before heading over to Scrap-A Latte for card class. Andrew and Kayleigh picked up some Blaze Pizza and we had dinner before class started. It was a fun time, Thursday’s are a little more laid back than Friday’s. After class I caught up with Danielle and on the way home I stopped at Heather’s for Thirsty Thursday. I have some crafty things to get done this morning before heading back over to Scrap-A-Latte for the second night of class. I’ll post the cards that we made on Sunday and also have a little surprise too!

Today I’m over on the Fab Friday blog for our sketch challenge…

Fab Fri 83 3-18-2016

The card base for today is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I adhered two strips, one of Silver Glimmer Paper and one Bermuda Bay to a piece of Black 110lb, stapled them with my Tiny Attacher and then adhered the panel to the card base. Next up is a piece of Cucumber Crush that I embossed with the We R Memory Keepers Next Level Waves 3D Embossing Folder. That is adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. My main panel is a piece of Bermuda Bay, I stamped the greeting and the map from the Concord & 9th Map Love Photopolymer Stamp Set. The map is stamped in Mama Elephant Mojito Pigment Ink and heat embossed with Simon Says Stamp Clear Fine Detail Embossing Powder. For the greeting I used Onyx Black and then adhered the panel to the card with more Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. To give it a little sparkle I adhered a few Pretty Pink Posh Peacock Feather Iridescent, Shamrock and Sparkling Clear Sequins with Multi-Matte Medium. I love bold look of the Mojito Ink on the Bermuda Bay card stock and of course that 3D Embossing Folder is so cool! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for the Fab Friday Sketch Challenge! Stop by the blog and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thanks for visiting with me today! Have a fabulous Friday! 🙂

Paper Craft Crew 186

Ahh… midweek! The weather was much nicer here today. Sunny, well the sun tried to come out as much as it could! I spent some time with Daniel, we had pizza for lunch. I also did some cleaning and crafting just like I said that I would. Got some more cards listed on my Etsy store and even got to chat with Michael for a while. I also went up to Michaels and met Taylor and Keira, Taylor called to tell me that they have gotten lots of new goodies in and I had to go and see what they were! If you haven’t been to a Michaels in a while you are in for a pleasant surprise! All in all a pretty good day. Later on today I’m going to run over to Scrap-A-Latte and get ready for tomorrow’s Lawn Fawn class and catch up with Renee! Hopefully the weather will cooperate and I can ride over there with the top down!

Wednesday and that means that it’s time for another Paper Craft Crew challenge! This week we have a Tic-Tac-Toe board…

PCCCS186 DT Tic-Tac-Toe 3-16-2016

I used one of my favorite new sets from Hero Arts! My card base for today is Ivory 110lb Card Stock. Down the left side is a piece of Blushing Bride Glimmer Paper. My orchid and greeting are from the Hero Arts Color Layering Orchid in a Pot Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped all of the images with my MISTI on Crumb Cake. The first layer of the Orchid is stamped in Simon Says Stamp White Pigment Ink, Next is some Teeny Bikini and then I used a Prismacolor Yellow Pencil to color in the centers. The stem is stamped in Simon Says Stamp Green Apple ink along with the first layer of the leaves. The second leaf layer is stamped in Green Leaf and the the third in Olive. My pot is stamped in Schoolhouse Red and the dirt in Khaki. I used the Coordinating Dies to cut them all out and adhered them to the card with Multi-Matte Medium. My greeting is stamped in Teeny Bikini and I added some Pretty Pink Posh Ballerina Pink, Lime Sorbet, Sand and Lemon Drop Sequins around the plant for a little sparkle! I do love my sequins! LOL! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Tic-Tac-Toe challenge! Stop by the blog and see what the other Designers have come up with and lets see your take, enter you card into the gallery! Thank you for coming by to spend some time with me today!
