Paper Craft Crew 181

It turned out to be a really nice day here yesterday! The sun was shining and I went over to Sue’s to do some more Etsy stuff. We had Panera for lunch and got loads of stuff done! I love a nice productive day! When I got home Daniel was at my parent’s and he was in a bad mood so I came home and Taylor and Keira stopped by. They took Winston to Michaels, he got lots of attention! Here he is sitting in the cart…

They even put a blanket in there. They also decided that they would take him for the night to Keira’s house, Taylor got him a new baby so I couldn’t say no. I have to admit, I miss him being the door monitor! I did stop back over at the ‘rents for some chili and Daniel was in a much better mood, I even got a big hug and a kiss along with an I love you so much Uncle Justin, doesn’t get better than that! The rest of the evening I had quality time with Chip and Joanna on Fixer Upper.

Wednesday and it’s time for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch…

I needed a card that had nothing to do with Valentine’s day! LOL! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used some Heidi Swapp Citron Color Shine to splatter on the card front. Across the bottom is a piece of Black 110lb with a piece of Washi Tape across the bottom and on top of that is a piece of Craft Smith Holiday Glitter Paper. My panel is a piece of Tim Holtz Watercolor Card, I heat embossed the phrase from the Simon Says Stamp One with Nature Photopolymer Stamp Set in Simon Says Stamp Clear Fine Detail Embossing Powder. It’s stamped repeatedly and offset a bit. Then it was time for some Mermaid Lagoon Distress Ink that I applied with a Mini Ink Blending Tool. The leaves and tree are from the same set and are also heat embossed on Watercolor Card in Clear. I used Twisted Citron Distress Ink to watercolor the images and then used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out. Some SNAIL adheres all of the greenery to the card. My greeting is cut from Black 110lb three times with the Simon Says Stamp Sunshine Wafer Die and adhered together with Elmer’s Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive, some Multi-Matte Medium adheres it to the card. To give it a little sparkle I adhered some Pretty Pink Posh Ocean Spray and Green from the Christmas Mix Sequins to the panel. I always love a little spatter and the Distress Ink is so great to work with, you can do so much with it! Mojo Monday 434

I thoroughly enjoyed my Sunday! Breakfast was delicious, Heather makes one superb omelette! We ran to Target and BJ’s, not the best idea on Super Bowl Sunday! LOL! Long lines but what can you do?! I came home around 2:00 and worked on my card for today. I had to go and retrieve Brian and Kim from the airport at 6:00 so I left my house around 5:20. They took a while to get through immigration but jetBlue has some really comfy seats where you wait for them to come out so I took a little nap! I was back home by 8:00, had some dinner and watched the Super Bowl Half-Time Show, pretty good! Today I’m off to see my friend Sue!

It’s Monday and that means time for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch…

My card today starts off with a base of Ivory 110lb Card Stock. I used the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangles to cut out a piece of Pink Pirouette for the background and adhered it with SNAIL. The piece of paper is from the Heidi Swapp Hello Today 4 1/2 x 6 1/2 Paper Pad and I used the Lawn Fawn 4 Bar Stitched Rectangles to cut it out, running it through twice to get the narrower rectangle. It’s adhered to the card with Fun Foam and SNAIL. Next I used the Petal Cut Peonies Dies from The Ton to cut out two pieces of Night of Navy. Some Elmer’s Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive holds them to the card. My thanks is from the Simon Says Stamp Thanks Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Simon Says Stamp Teeny Bikini Ink on some more Ivory 110lb. I flagged the left side and adhered it to the card with Foam Tape. My butterfly is from Recollections, I pushed it into my Simon Says Stamp Lake Shores Ink Pad to color it then into Versa-Mark. I added Simon Says Stamp Clear Fine Detail Embossing Powder and heated it with my Heat Tool, dipping it and reheating it a few times before adhering it to the banner with Multi-Matte Medium. Some Studio Calico Wood Stars and Pretty Pink Posh Marshmallow, Sand, Aquamarine and Pink Blush Sequins are adhered to the panel with Multi-Matte Medium and complete the card! I do love those flower dies form The Ton and the Wood Stars are still a favorite too! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge! Freshly Made Sketches 222

And Saturday! It was an interesting day here yesterday, we got another foot of snow. This time it was that heavy wet snow, the kind that makes the tree branches hang down. I went over to my parent’s in the morning to wait for Daniel to be dropped off, they had an appointment. When Erika dropped him off we spent some time looking out the window and discussing the fact that I hate snow and Daniel loves it! LOL! Once they got back we had some lunch and then I ventured out to the Deli and brought Heather some lunch. I spent the afternoon over there researching some stuff while she worked. The snow stopped around 1:30 and the sun came out. Thankfully the roads were mostly clear. After dinner I got ready to go to Adelphi University in Garden City for the Sing Strong Aca-Idol Competition. Andrew’s group Satellite Lane performed along with nine other groups. They were all fantastic! This morning I’m off to The Ink Pad to spend the day with Barbara! What’s on for you today?

My card that I have for today is for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge…

I have had this journaling card sitting on my desk for a few weeks and decided that I would finally get to use it! My card starts off with a base of Ivory 110lb Card Stock. I used the We R Memory Keepers Corner Chomper to round all four corners on the card base. Across the bottom is a strip of Blushing Bride. The journaling card is from the My Mind’s Eye Fancy That Collection and is adhered to the card with Fun Foam and SNAIL. I cut the congratulations out of some Gold Foil Sheet and another piece of Ivory 110lb. They are adhered to each other with Elmer’s Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive and to the card with Multi-Matte Medium. I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Gold and Ballerina Pink Sequins to finish the card. I love the gold foil accents in the journaling card and the congratulations looks really cool cut out of the Gold Foil Sheet! Fab Friday 80

Happy Friday! I got some of my organizing done yesterday and then got sucked into Ellen videos on YouTube! I finally pulled myself away to go and have some dinner with Daniel and my parents. After that it was more Ellen on YouTube and then off to Heather’s for thirsty Thursday. Kim and Brian FaceTimed me from St. Lucia. Boy does it look really nice there! That has to go on my to visit list for sure! We watched Lip Sync Battle, always funny! It’s snowing here again this morning but is supposed to clear up by later on this afternoon and we may even see some sun!

After our little break over the Holidays it’s time once again for Fab Friday! This time we have some colors just in time for Valentine’s Day…

I always forget about Watermelon Wonder! LOL! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the Lawn Fawn 4 Bar Stitched Rectangles to cut out a piece of paper from the “Vintage” Stacked with Love Designer Series Paper Stack and adhered it to the card with Fun Foam and SNAIL. I also used the 4 Bar Stitched Rectangles to cut out some Real Red and adhered that to the Designer Series Paper with Multi-Matte Medium. My three hearts are cut out with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Heart Stackables Lawn Cuts from Watermelon Wonder and Blushing Bride and adhered to the card with Foam Tape. For a little more “Vintage” I cut out more Watermelon Wonder and Blushing Bride with the Chevrons form the Circle Card Thinlits and adhered them to the card with more Foam Tape. The greeting is a piece of Black 110lb cut out with the Lawn Fawn I Love You Border Lawn Cut and adhered across the hearts with Multi-Matte Medium. Finally I added some Pretty Pink Posh Onyx, Raspberry and Marshmallow Sequins. I love the clean collage look of the card and that I Love You is really cool! Yesterday was a long day! The airport in the morning, Scrap-A-Latte for a bit, over to see my friend Sue and then take Heather to the train. I’m not gonna lie, I’m a little tired! It also rained here most of the day but it was warm so no complaints. Today I need to get some organizing done and then tonight is thirsty Thursday!

For my card today I have used this week’s Paper Players Tic-Tac-Toe board for inspiration…

I want to thank Hannelle for choosing me as her Cut Above for last week’s challenge! You can see the winner’s post HERE and my original post HERE!

The card base for today is Neenah Solar White 110lb cut to 3 1/2″ wide. I cut a piece of Tim Holtz Watercolor Card to 3 1/4″ wide and used my Mini Ink Blending Tool and some Tumbled Glass, Wild Honey and Worn Lipstick Distress Ink to create the somewhat evening sky looking background. It’s spritzed with some water and then adhered to the card with SNAIL. My bird and branch are form the Hero Arts Color Layering Dimensional Bird Photopolymer Stamp Set. The outline is stamped in Onyx Black Ink and I used Simon Says Stamp Rosie Cheeks, Teeny Bikini, Schoolhouse Red, Duckling, Slate and Khaki Ink to fill in the colors. For the eye I used a Sakura Black Gel Pen and Uni White Gel Pen. He is cut out with the coordinating Dies and adhered to the card with Multi-Matte Medium And Foam Tape. The greeting is from the Hero Arts Thanks Stamp & Cut Set and is also stamped in Onyx Black. A little shower of Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins from the top right completes the card. So, I went down the middle row! I love that bird and the easy way that you can add different colors to him! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Players Tic-Tac-Toe challenge! Paper Craft Crew 180

Well, I was up nice and early this morning, 4:00am to be exact! I went and picked up Brian and Kim and took them to JFK. An hour round trip, not bad at all! Yesterday after I took Sandy to the airport with Andrew we came back to my house and did a little research on some things that I’m looking to get rid of for a friend. For lunch we went to Monty’s for pizza and then came back to the house and watched Lucifer, I really do love that show! After dinner Heather stopped by and picked me up, we ran to Target and Petco to pick up some things. We stopped back at my house so I could get my car and I went to her house to chill for a bit. Louis stopped by later and by the time I got home it was 12:30am! I think I see a nap in my future! LOL! I have to go and open the store for Renee this morning and then I’m going over to see Sue for a bit. Another fun filled Wednesday!

Today I’m over on the Paper Craft Crew blog for this week’s sketch challenge…

I needed some bright colors and the inspiration for the card is the Patterned Paper! My card base is Ivory 110lb Card Stock. I used the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Squares to cut out a piece of Night of Navy, ran through the Big Shot twice to get the rectangle, and a piece of paper from the Crate Paper Flea Market 6×6 Paper Pad. The patterned paper is adhered to the card with Fun Foam and SNAIL. All of the stamped images are from the Simon Says Stamp Lovely Spring Photopolymer Stamp Set. They are stamped on Ivory 110lb and cut out with the Coordinating Lovely Day Craft Dies. I used Simon Says Stamp Catkin Ink for the wreath and leaves, Rosie Cheeks for the heart and flower at the top, Teeny Bikini for the flower at the bottom and Mint Candy for the greeting banner. They are adhered with Foam Tape and SNAIL. I added a few Pearls to the flowers and some Pretty Pink Posh Blue Lagoon, Ballerina Pink and Sparkling Clear Sequins complete the card! Yesterday was nice and sunny which helped melt some more of the snow! I went to the Dr. in the morning with Brian so Heather could get her shot. After that we went to the Deli and got some lunch and from there Brian dropped us back at Heather’s. She was waiting for the mattress to be delivered and when it came it was way too high with the boxspring so that has to go back. She had missed Lucifer on Monday so we watched that. I ran home to pick something up around 4:00 and then headed over to Scrap-A-Latte to see Renee for a bit. From there it was back home for some dinner and a little craftiness.

My card that I have to share with you today is for this week’s Paper Players sketch challenge…

The card base is Ivory 110lb Card Stock. The strip of paper down the left is a piece from the Pebbles Yours Truly 6×6 Paper Pad. I used the Simon Says Stamp XOXO Border Craft Die to cut out some Black 110lb and that’s adhered along the lower half with Multi-Matte Medium. Another piece of Ivory 110lb is cut out with the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Circles Dies and adhered to the card with Foam Tape. Some more Black 100lb is cut out with the Simon Says Stamp Scribble Heart and Arrow Craft Dies and also adhered to the card with Multi-Matte Medium. My greeting is from the Simon Says Stamp Paper Hug Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Onyx Black on a piece of Primrose Petals with the right side flagged. It’s adhered to the card with Foam Tape along with a black heart on the left. I added some Glossy Accents to the heart to make it pop. A few Pretty Pink Posh Onyx Sequins and “Vintage” 2013-2014 In-Color Sequins complete the card. I love that patterned paper and the nice pops of the black against the ivory! And some of the snow melted! Not a lot but some of it and that’s a good thing! I had another pretty laid back day. I FaceTimed with Andrea in the morning for a bit and then watched some TV. Just before I headed over to my parent’s to see Daniel and to have dinner I got the urge to watercolor. I sat down and did a freehand watercolor card front. I don’t know if you will get to see it, it’s not that great! LOL! After dinner I took a ride over to A. C. Moore and then Heather called and said that she had made some Pad Thai and asked if I wanted to taste it, of course! I went over to her house and the food was excellent! We had a glass of wine and she has to go for another one of the epidural shots so Brian is taking her and I said that I would tag along too. That’s where I will be this morning!

My post for today is for this week’s Paper Craft Crew challenge…

Ahh… love! I have been really into Valentine’s this year too! My card base for today is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the Lawn Fawn Stitched Journaling Card Lawn Cuts to cut out two pieces of paper from the Teresa Collins Something Wonderful 6×6 Paper Pad. The top one has a heart cut out of it using the Lawn Fawn Stitched Hearts Stackables Lawn Cuts. I also cut one out of Real Red and used the same heart that I used on the patterned paper to cut out the middle of that one too. I haphazardly adhered the patterned paper to the card and then used some Foam Tape to adhere the heart over the cut out. Some more Real Red is cut out with the Lawn Fawn Scripty Love Lawn Cut and adhered to the panel with Multi-Matte Medium. Up in the top right corner I used a Mini Clothespin to attach a length of the Real Red Pom-Pom Trim. A few Pretty Pink Posh Marshmallow and Red Sequins complete the card! I love the cut outs in the paper and the heart and the Pom-Pom Trim is a fun little addition too! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Theme Challenge! SIP Challenge 32 – Tic-Tac-Toe!

There is still snow everywhere around here! The LIRR Had major issues this morning and I’m thankful that I wasn’t one of the commuters that had to wait upwards of three hours for a train! I re-dug my car out with the help of dad and his snowblower, let’s hope that it stays like that! The rest of my day was spent looking for the title to my old car, which I never found but I did go onto the DMV site and ordered a new one. I choose express delivery and it should be here Wednesday morning! I’ll believe that when I see it! LOL! I also watched the second of the X-Files last night, just as good as the first one! After that there was a new show called Lucifer on and I liked that one too! Today I’m going venture out of the house and get in the car, the first time since Friday, so unlike me! I’ll let you know how that goes tomorrow!

It’s Tuesday and that means that it’s time for another Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! This week we have a fun Love Tic-Tac-Toe from Sandy…

I went down the middle but hit a few others along the way! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. For the background I spattered a piece of Black 110lb with some Heidi Swapp Gold and White Color Shine and then adhered it to the card base. My heart is a piece of Tim Holtz Watercolor Card Stock that I cut out using the Lawn Fawn Hearts Stackables Lawn Cuts. The greeting is from the Simon Says Stamp Paper Hug Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder. Some Ranger Candied Apple Distress Ink is applied with a Mini Ink Blending Tool and then I flicked some water onto the heart. After waiting about 20 seconds I used a dry paper towel to pick it up. The arrow is a piece of Gold Foil Sheet that I cut out with the Reverse Confetti Arrow Confetti Cuts Die, I snipped it in two and adhered it to the card with Multi-Matte Medium. The heart is adhered to the card with Fun Foam and SNAIL along with a few Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins. I love the look that the water gives to the heart and the nice way that red pops against the black! Mojo Monday 432

Day two of Snowmageddon 2016. Got my car all dug out and then last night the plows finally came through and put it all back, thanks town workers! Our final total here was 30 inches, that’s a little too much I think! I believe that the snow should be only in the mountains! People that like it can go there to experience it! LOL! The rest of my day was spent crafting and watching a little TV. The X-Files returned last night and was just as amazing as I had hoped that it would be! The second part is on tonight! All of the original cast is there, it was so good to see Scully and Mulder back together! I watched all nine season when it aired years ago and the new episode didn’t disappoint. It’s a six part series, hopefully they will bring it back with a full season! This morning I will go and dig out my car… again. If the plows come back I will not be held responsible for my actions!

The start of the week and we have another new Mojo Monday sketch…

I guess that my card was influenced by the weather! The base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and the background is a piece of paper from the Silent Night 6×6 Paper Pad that I got whilst in London! My three banners are cut from Smoky Slate, Soft Sky and Basic Gray. For the panel I used the Simon Says Stamp Snowflake Block Craft Die to cut out another piece of Solar White 110lb. I sprayed the back with Elmer’s Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive and adhered it to a piece of Vellum and that is adhered to the card with Multi-Matte Medium. The Basic Gray Circle is punched out with the 1″ Circle Punch along with a piece of Smoky Slate. I heat embossed the snowflake from the Simon Says Stamp Circle Saying Holidays Photopolymer Stamp Set in Ranger Silver Pearl Embossing Powder. The Birthday Wishes is from the Simon Says Stamp Birthday Balloons Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts White. The are both adhered to the card with Foam Tape. A little sprinkling of Essentials by Ellen Iridescent Gray and Pretty Pink Posh Sparking Clear Sequins competes the card.
