Freshly Made Sketches 315

A good morning to you all! I managed to get a lot of the things on my list done yesterday, always a good feeling. Cali has been adjusting really well and has been good. I took her over to Heather’s last night and she played with Boris chasing him around the house. I pretty sure that Boris thinks he’s a dog and it was even funnier because he’s bigger than Cali! Here is what most of Cali’s day looks like, she likes to mess up the couch and then take long naps!

Today I’m starting the big card organization project, that is going to take a looooong time! LOL! But will be worth it to have everything in places that make it easier for me to find! 😀

I managed to squeeze in a card yesterday and it’s for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge…

What a nice simple sketch! To start my card I used a new tool that I recently acquired, the We R Memory Keepers Fram Punch Board. I created my frame out of a piece of Black 110lb Card Stock. All of the images and greeting are from the Concord & 9th Beautiful Branches Photopolymer Stamp Set. I cut a piece of Solar White 80lb to fit behind the frame and stamped the branch in Doe and the leaves in Freshly Cut Grass and Jalapeño. The greeting is stamped in Black Licorice. I added the frame to a piece of Acetate and then put 3M Foam Tape to create my well for the Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins. The stamped piece is adhered to the framed piece to create my shaker. Next I positioned the shaker on a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and stamped a few more leaves. The shaker is then adhered to the card. I really do love that Beautiful Branches Set, it’s definitely becoming a favorite! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches Challenge! Thank you for coming by! Have an amazing Thursday! 🙂

SIP Challenge 127 – All Wrapped Up!

Hello friends! I had a nice day with my little Cali yesterday. She has been so good, almost too good to be true. I took her over to Andrew’s Parent’s house to see his Mum and Dad. Then Andrew came over by me for a bit, he loves Cali! LOL! She is such a mush and goes to anyone. Taylor stopped by with her friend Jess and she was quite fond of the little miss too! I’m going to go into Manhattan today and Taylor is going to watch her for a little bit for me. I feel so bad that she will be home alone for a few hours but what can you do?! I think I’ll get a little carrier for her so that I can take her on city trips with me! 😀

It Tuesday and time for new challenge over on the Stamp, Ink, Paper blog…

I went with some tags, surprise! LOL! To create them I used the Concord & 9th Sprinkles Tag Dies to cut out three tags from Desert Storm 80lb. For my images I used the Concord & 9th Beautiful Branches Photopolymer Stamp Set. The branches are stamped in Doe and the leaves in Yeti Pigment Ink. Because I’m impatient I used my Heat Tool to speed up the white ink drying. Next I stamped the sentiment from the Concord & 9th O Christmas Tree Photopolymer Stamp Set in Noble Fir over the images on the tags. In the top of the tags I punched a hole and tied some Natural Twine through. Just a few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins and they are complete! I do love to make tags, these will go nicely with a prezzie wrapped in kraft paper! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp , Ink, Paper All Wrapped Up Challenge! We hope that you will stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of Team’s projects and that you will share yours with us in the gallery! Thanks for coming by today! Have a terrific Tuesday! 🙂

Happy Thanksgiving! I hope that you are all ready for your company today and that your day will be filled with family and friends! I had a very busy day yesterday jam packed with errands, I went to Lowe’s, Home Depot, IKEA, Target and the Dollar Store! Taylor was along for some company which was nice! I added three Pretty Pink Posh Silver Sequins and then hid some Kool-Tak Clear Foam Tape behind them and adhered it to the card. Pretty simple but still a fun card! Paper Craft Crew 269

Happy pre-turkey day! I had a nice time in Manhattan yesterday visiting with Anna and Jane at The Ink Pad! I love that store!! So much fun stuff and I was really good and didn’t get anything, although that was really hard! LOL! Last night I went over to Jim’s and we worked on a few projects in the garage and then went out to grab some dinner at the diner. This morning I had a few phone calls to make before I get started on a whole bunch of errands. It’s going to be a busy day! 😀

Today’s card is for this week’s Paper Craft Crew challenge…

I do love a vintage looking card but I’m not really great at making them, anyhow, this is what I came up with. The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. For the background I used a piece of paper from the DCWV Maps, Text & Ledgers 8×8 Paper Pad and adhered that to a piece of Desert Storm 80lb. My pine branches and berries are from the Essential by Ellen Poinsettia & Pine Die Set and are cut from Classic Cherry and Noble Fir. I adhered them to card with E-Z Runner. The joy is from the Essentials by Ellen Holiday Words Die Set and is cut from Silver Glitter Card. To add that to the card I used 3M Foam Tape. It needed just a little more sparkle so I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Rose Gold Sequins. Not super vintage but that paper definitely helps! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and share your with us by entering it in the gallery! Thanks for stoping by! Have a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂

SIP Challenge 126 – Grateful, Thankful, Blessed!

A quiet Monday! Who could ask for anything more?! I did get a few things done around the house and had dinner with the ‘rents. This morning I’m off to Manhattan to visit my friend Anna at The Ink Pad! It has been way too long since I have seen her and the shop! Should be a fun day!! 😀

It’s Tuesday and time for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper challenge…

I have been seeing a lot of cards with colored pencil on dark cardstock lately so I needed to give it a go! To create my background I stamped the leaf from the Simon Says Stamp One with Nature Photopolymer Stamp Set in Versa-Mark and heat embossed them with Hero Arts Platinum Embossing Powder onto Battleship Gray. I used my Prismacolor Pencils to color the leaves in using two shades of a color for each one. My greeting is cut three times from more Battleship Gray using a die from the Simon Says Stamp with Hero Arts StampTember Thanksgiving Photopolymer Stamp Set. I heat embossed the top one with more Platinum Embossing Powder and then adhered it to the two others and a strip of Vellum with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. The Vellum is then adhered around the back of the background and then to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I added some Pretty Pink Posh Platinum Sequins for extra bling and the card is finished! Now I know why I have seen so many cards like this, love the look of the pencil on the dark card! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! There is more inspiration over on the BLOG so stop by and don’t forget to share your card in the gallery with us! Thank you for stopping by! Have an amazing Tuesday! 🙂

North Pole Fishing

Happy Friday! I had a very productive day yesterday while waiting for the new door to be installed at Jim’s house. I caught up on all of my Blog comments, all 100 of them! And yes, that took all day! LOL! When Jim came home we ran to the grocery store and then I helped him make stuffing for his lunch at work today. We also made some Shoo-Fly Pies using my Grandmother’s recipe and they came out really good! On my way home I stopped by Heather’s for a little Thirsty Thursday! Always good to see my ladies! Today I want to get some things done but as you can see by late post the morning isn’t going as planned! 😀

I did squeeze in a quick card this morning using the October My Monthly Hero Kit. To start the card I cut out a piece of Soft Sky with the Hero Arts Infinity Circles Dies. The images are all from the Hero Arts October My Monthly Hero Kit and are stamped in Black. I used Prismacolor Pencils to color in the eskimo and the ice. Onto my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock I adhered a piece of Pacific Point that I embossed with the We R Memory Keepers Wave 3D Embossing Folder. A strip of Galvanized Curious Metallic goes down the left side and then the circle is adhered with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. A few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins finish the card! I love the images in the Kit, they are much easier to color in with pencils too! I hope that you like today’s card! I thank you for coming by for a visit and hope that you have a fabulous weekend! 🙂

Freshly Made Sketches 313

Another busy day, I need them! I had a bunch of stuff to get through in the morning. Picked up Dad from dropping off his car at Ford yet again. Stephanie came by for a little bit, always nice to get a little visit in the middle of the day! I ran to the supermarket to pick up some stuff for dinner. Jim came by after work and we ran to Old Navy so he could get a little Christmas shopping done. We came back to my house and I made dinner and then we finished the evening with a little TV. I”l be over at Jim’s today so that they can come and install the new door on the side of the house. I’m going to get all caught up on my blog comments while I’m there!! 😀

I actually did a little FaceTime crafting with Andrea and made my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge…

The first thing that I did was to stamp the ornaments from the Sunny Studio Holiday Style Photopolymer Stamp Set in Sugarplum using my Mini MISTI. The second layer is stamped in Versa-Mark and heat embossed with Hero Arts Clear Embossing Powder. My ornament tops are heat embossed in Hero Arts Silver Embossing Powder. I used the Coordinating Dies to cut the ornaments and tops out and set them aside. Onto my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock I stamped the pine branches from the same set in Noble Fir and Jalapeño in the upper left and lower right corners. Back into the MISTI to stamp the greeting in Sugarplum. Next the ornaments are adhered with 3M Foam Tape and a few Pretty Pink Posh Amethyst and Silver Sequins complete the card! I’m loving the Holiday Style Set! Definitely will get a lot of use this year! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches Challenge! Thank you for stopping by! Have a great Thursday! 🙂

Paper Players 368

Hi there my friends and a happy Monday to you from rainy Long Island! I had a very nice weekend starting on Friday by picking up Jim’s new couch and setting it up in his den. Saturday he came by and we worked on the kitchen cabinets. It’s a lot more work than I originally anticipated but he was a huge help and we got a lot done! Still a lot more to go but we’ll get there! Yesterday was rainy and windy, one of those sit on the couch and watch TV kind of days. This morning I’ll be heading over to see Heather for a bit, can’t wait to get out of the house! LOL! 😀

I got up this morning and made my card for this week’s Paper Players challenge…

I went down the first column! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The background is a piece of Tropical Sea cut to 4″ wide. I stamped the dots from the Concord & 9th Trim the Tree Photopolymer Stamp Set In Yeti Ink. The tree is cut from Silver Glitter Card using the Concord & 9th Trim the Tree Dies. My greeting is from the Concord & 9th Ornamental Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto a strip of 65lb Vellum. I adhered the tree to the background and then the Vellum around the back before adding it to my card base. A few Pretty Pink Posh Silver Sequins finish the card! Teal and Silver make a pretty nice holiday combo and I love that big sparkly tree! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Players Challenge! SIP Challenge 121 – Tic-Tac-Toe

A crisp good morning to you! We got a taste of Fall last night with temps in 40’s! I’ll take Summer back now thanks! I had a pretty productive morning yesterday which is always a good way to start the day! In the afternoon I got a text from Heather that one of her cats got out so me, Kim, Stephanie and George spent a few hours combing the neighborhood. They eventually found the cat and are going to get a GPS collar for her, she gets out a lot! I went back over to Heather’s later and we ran a few errands. My evening was finished off with a little TV. This morning I have a bunch of things to get to and some cleaning to do around the house. 😀

It’s Tuesday and that means it time for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper challenge…

I went diagonal from top left to bottom right on the Tic-Tac-Toe board. My card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card stock has the front covered in a piece of paper from the My Mind’s Eye Essentials – Wood 6×6 Paper Pad. I heat embossed a flower and two leaves from the Essentials by Ellen Bold Blooms Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts White and Copper Embossing Powder onto some 65lb Vellum. The Coordinating Dies are used to cut them out. My greeting is from the same set and is heat embossed in White Embossing Powder onto the woodgrain paper. The leaves are adhered with E-Z Runner and the flower with Kool-Tak Clear Foam Tape. A sprinkling of Pretty Pink Posh Copper Sequins completes the card. I love the nice pop of white against the dark woodgrain! The card would work well for a wedding, don’t you think?!
