Freshly Made Sketches 301

I guess what they say is true about time flying but I don’t necessarily think that you need to be having fun! I did have a little bit more of a productive day yesterday and today I will be going over to see my friend Sue for some Etsy stuff! Last night Jim came by and we grabbed some pizza for dinner and watched a movie. A nice evening indeed! 😀

The card that I made late last night is for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge…

I started by trimming a piece of Solar White 80lb to 4 3/4″ wide by 4″ tall and placed it in my Mini MISTI. That fun image is from the Concord & 9th Pineapple Perfection Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the outline in Black Licorice and then stamped the fill-in images in Peacock, Jalapeño, Juice Box, Carrot, Sunflower and Noble Fir. My greeting is from the Concord & 9th Aloha Friend Photopolymer Stamp Set and that is stamped in Peacock. I adhered a piece of Peacock Card Stock to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My stamped panel is then trimmed using the Concord & 9th Select-A-SIze Edge Die and adhered to the card base. I added Pretty Pink Posh Ocean Spray, Orchid and Lemon Drop Sequins to finish the card. Love that fun pineapple with all of the flowers and the fill-in images make it nice and easy to make it look great! I hope that you like my card for his week’s Freshly Made Sketches Challenge! Thank your stopping by! Have a exciting Thursday! 🙂

Paper Craft Crew 256

It was a gloomy day here yesterday and despite my best efforts to be productive you know how it goes when it’s gloomy! I binge watched some Netflix and caught up with a few friends. Some stuff did get done but not as much as I had planned. Today is another day and another chance to get caught up! How is your week going?! 😀

Let’s see… it’s Wednesday so time for this week’s Paper Craft Crew challenge…

I started my card with the usual card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The images and greeting are from the Concord & 9th Petals & Palettes Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the hydrangea in Moonstone and the leaves in Noble Fir. They are cut out with the Coordinating Dies. On my card base I added a strip of Silver Glitter Washi Tape and then the leaves and flower with 3M Foam Tape. My greeting is stamped in Noble Fir and just a scattering of Pretty Pink Posh Silver Sequins finishes the card! I do love that hydrangea, especially in the Moonstone Ink! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see what the rest of the Team has made and let’s see your take in the gallery! Thank you for coming by and speccing some time with me today! Have a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂

SIP Challenge 112 – Travel!

Another fun filled Monday! LOL! I did get some things done and helped out a few friends in the morning too! We had an extra early Thirsty Thursday last night over at Heather’s! Stephanie was there and George joined us too! We always have such a good time laughing and catching up! This morning I have to get working on my to-do list for the week! I have been putting off way too much stuff! 😀

So it’s Tuesday and what does that mean?! Well, it’s time for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge

I’m always looking for a reason to use that Eiffel Tower Die from Hero and this seemed like the perfect opportunity! To start my card I die cut the Hero Arts PaperLayering Eiffel Tower from a piece of Gold Mirror Card. I used a die from the June 2016 My Monthly Hero Kit to cut out a plane from a piece of Silver Glitter Card Stock. They are positioned onto a piece of Black 110lb so that I knew where to heat emboss my sentiment, also from the Hero Arts June My Monthly Hero Kit, in Hero Arts Platinum Embossing Powder. The black panel is adhered to a piece of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and then the Eiffel Tower and plane are adhered with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. It needed a little more sparkle so I added Pretty Pink Posh Silver Sequins! I do really love that Eiffel Tower and the plane too! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thank you for stopping by today! Have an excellent Tuesday! 🙂

Celebrate Balloons

Starting off the week with a smile! Is there any other way to do it?! I had a wonderful weekend! I was over at Jim’s again yesterday and we finished the end table and the chairs! We are really happy with the way they came out! I called the chairs Shipwreck Chic because we power washed them to get the four layers of paint off and it really distressed the wood! You can see the before and after…

We also finished watching Stranger Things, I’ll have to find a new series for us to watch now! I have a ton of stuff to get accomplished today! It’s a Monday for sure! 😀

Another simple card for you today! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I added two pieces of paper from the Pinkfresh Studios Indigo Hills 6×6 Paper. The top one is adhered to the card with E-Z Runner and Fun Foam. My balloons are from the Concord & 9th Happy Balloons Photopolymer Stamp Set and are stamped in Fresh Peach. I used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out and adhered them to the card with more E-Z Runner. I do love to use sequins to fill in some of the white space on my cards so I added some Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear ones today! I love that PinkFresh Paper, so nice and thick and the balloons are just fun! I hope that you like today’s card! Thanks for starting another week off here with me! Have a marvelous Monday! 🙂

Hope You Know You’re Great

It couldn’t decided whether or not it was going to rain yesterday. It was cloudy for most of the day will little peeks of sun here and there. I actually ended up spending the day with Jim. We got Apple Music all set up for him, imported some CD’s into his computer and binge watched some Stranger Things episodes. I’ll be back over there today to work on some more furniture projects! A fun Sunday! 😀

I did whip together a quick card when I got home last night at 11:15! The base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I stamped my images and greeting from the Concord & 9th Hope Photopolymer Stamp Set. The flower is stamped in Minty Fresh and Merman and the leaves in Jalapeño. My greeting is stamped in Merman and Jalapeño in the lower right corner. I added some Pretty Pink Posh Aquamarine and Shamrock Sequins and the card is done! I do really love the simple cards, quick and fun! I hope that you like my card for today! Thank you as always for stopping by! I wish you all a simple and fun Sunday! 🙂

Freshly Made Sketches 300

Hi peeps! Another beautiful day here on Long Island! I ran a bunch of errands in the morning and saw the kiddos for a little bit. Around 2:00 I headed out to meet Jim at Home Depot so we could pick up some more supplies and continue on with our furniture projects! We got a lot more done, the end table is almost finished and the chairs are all stripped and one is sanded. We had some Chinese food for dinner and I headed back to my house around 9:00. Steph came by for a little bit and we sat outside and chatted. I made my card for today and called it a night! 😀

That card that I made is for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge…

I kept my card nice and clean and simple! The base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I trimmed two pieces of paper from the Heidi Swapp Hello Today Paper Pad and adhered them to the card to match the sketch. Just a few Wood Veneer Stars and Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins and the card is done! I love that fun balloon with the happy inside, so cool! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches Challenge! Thank you so much for stopping by! Have an awesome Thursday! 🙂

As soon as I saw the set I knew that it would become a favorite! We all make a lot of Thank You cards and this one is great for quick ones! My cards are all note card size with bases of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I stamped the Concord & 9th Barnwood Background onto the fronts with Peacock and Jalapeño Ink. Next I stamped the greetings using the Concord & 9th Serious Thank You Photopolymer Stamp Set in the same colors with my Mini MISTI. SIP Challenge 111

That was a very rainy Monday indeed. It rained all day, not really helping with the Monday’s at all! I did get my computer stuff done that I wanted to in the morning and did a little laundry too. In the evening Jim came by, we had Wendy’s for dinner and then watched TV. I’m having him watch Stranger Things, so far he likes it! This morning I want to get more computer stuff accomplished. Wish me luck! 😀

It’s Tuesday so time for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge

The card base for today is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the Hero Arts Waves Stencil and my Mini Ink Blending Tool along with Soft Pool Ink to create a background. The images and greeting are all from the Hero Arts Seahorse Color Layering Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the large and medium seahorses in Cornflower. The additional layers are added to the large seahorse with Pool and Navy using my Mini MISTI. They are cut out with the Coordinating Dies and adhered to the card with 3D Foam Squares. I stamped three of the small seahorses in Pool onto the background along with the greeting in Navy. Some Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins finish the scene. I do love that seahorse and the subtle look of the stencil behind it! I hope that you enjoy my Design tEam card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! Paper Players 356

Monday already huh?! Another weekend zipped by! I did end up going to the beach with Heather in the morning yesterday, we stayed for a few hours and then ran a some errands. She made me a turkey burger for dinner and then her and George had to go to a wake so I headed back to my house. Later on Taylor came by and we watched TV for a bit. This morning I have a bunch of things to get finished on the computer and it’s supposed to rain so it will be the perfect day for it! 😀

I made a quick card late last night and it’s for this week’s Paper Players challenge…

To begin my card I stamped the Concord & 9th Tree Ring Background Photopolymer Stamp onto a piece of Smoky Slate with Doe Ink and used my Scissors to cut it out. For the greeting I heat embossed one from the Concord & 9th By Your Side Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder. The card base is a piece of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with a piece of Desert Storm 80lb adhered to the front. I used Fun Foam and E-Z Runner to adhered the tree ring to the card. The little tree rings are from the Concord & 9th Cozy Up Photopolymer Stamp Set and are stamped randomly in Yeti Ink onto the background. To finished the card I added Pretty Pink Posh Marshmallow Sequins! As you can see from the picture that Tree Ring is a very well loved stamp! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Players Challenge! Thanks for starting your week off with me! Have a marvelous Monday! 🙂
