Sweet Bitty Butterfly Chevron Box

Good morning! I hope that everyone had a safe and happy Independence Day and that you have all of you digits still! I went with my friend Kim and my daughter Taylor to a party at my friend Carol’s. I got to see all of my peeps there and the food was great. There was a Sabrett hot dog vendor and a raw bar, clam bake and lobsters. After that we went to Kim & Brian’s and I got to see my favorite little girl Izzy and my other peeps who I have missed so much! All in all it was a great day!

Today’s project is a CASE from the 2012-2013 Catalog. I changed up the colors and greeting and a few other things too. The box is made from Baja Breeze and Soft Suede Card Stock using the Simply Scored Scoring Tool. The top of the box decoration starts with a piece of Naturals White Card Stock that I cut on both top and bottom with the Finishing Touches Edgelits Dies. The piece of Baja Breeze on top is embossed using the Chevron Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. I cut another piece of Naturals White with the Apothecary Accents Framelits Dies and adhered that to the box with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The butterflies are punched from Crumb Cake, Baja Breeze and Soft Suede Card Stock with the Elegant Butterfly Punch and also adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I used some Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the Bitty Buttons to the butterflies. The greeting is from the Sweet Essentials Stamp Set and is stamped in Baja Breeze on Crumb Cake and cut out with the Bitty Banners Framelits Dies. What a nice way to give a good friend a stack of Lotto tickets or some handmade cards. I hope that you enjoyed today’s project and thank you for visiting. Have a great day!

Mojo 248

Hello everyone and Happy Independence Day! It’s so nice to have off in the middle of the week! I hope that you have an evening of safe fireworks watching planned for later. Today is my dog Winston’s most unfavorite day of the year. He will spend the evening shaking himself to piece because of the noise. He does it during thunderstorms too but July 4th is much worse. I have some parties to go to today and my friend Kim is out form the city to accompany me.

Today’s post is for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge. This weeks sketch is provided by Carole Burrage…

SInce Stampin’ Up! doesn’t have any oval dies any more I used the Labels Collection Framelits instead. The base of my card is Very Vanilla Card Stock. I embossed a piece of Cajun Craze with the Perfect Polkadots Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. To the top of that I added a piece of Comfort Café Designer Series Paper and I punched a piece of Very Vanilla with the Scallop Trim Border Punch to go along the bottom edge. The piece of ribbon across the middle is Soft Suede 3/8″ Taffeta Ribbon and I tied a knot on the right side and snipped it at an angel with my Paper Snips. The stamped image is from the From My Heart Stamp Set and is stamped in Cajun Craze. I embossed a piece of Soft Suede with the Vintage Wallpaper Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and mounted it to a piece of Very Vanilla Card Stock. I adhered the stamped image and the backing to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. For the a nice finish I used one of the Naturals Designer Series Buttons and a Stampin’ Dimensional to adhere a piece of Cajun Craze that I punched out with the 1/2″ Circle Punch. To the center of it I added a Basic Jewels Large Pearl and used a Mini Glue Dot to adhere it to the card. I love the colors in the Comfort Café DSP and I really like the way the button looks with the paper and the pearl in the middle. I hope that y0u enjoyed this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge card and thank you as always for checking in. Have a safe and happy 4th of July!

Tangerine Razzleberry Floral Occasion Box

A big hello to you all today. How did every fare with their Monday? Mine was good, I had card class and my daughter comes with me so it makes fun! Plus the other people are great, we always have a laugh. 🙂

Today’s project is a little gift box. The dimensions of it are 3″ x 3″ x 1″. I used my Simply Scored Scoring Tool to make the box, the bottom of which is Rich Razzleberry and the top is Tangerine Tango. To decorate the top I started with a piece of Whisper White Card Stock and used the Large Scallop Finishing Touches Edgelit Die on both sides. On top of that is a piece of Floral District Designer Series Paper. Then I took a piece of Rich Razzleberry Card Stock and flagged the ends on both sides with my Paper Snips. The rosette is also made from a piece of Floral District DSP and scored with the Simply Scored. I used two scraps of card stock punched out with the 1″ Circle punch and glue dots to hold it together. For a little extra detail I punched out a piece of Rich Razzleberry with the Curly Label Punch and used the Essentials Paper-Piercing Pack around the outside edge. The stamped images are from the A Fitting Occasion Stamp Set and are stamped in Tangerine Tango and Baja Breeze ink and then punched out with the 1″ Circle Punch. I adhered both of the top pieces with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I love the bright colors and am a big fan of the rosette. What a great little box to give someone a little handmade stack of gift cards. I hope that you enjoyed today’s project and that you will make some boxes of your own. Thanks for stopping by and have an awesome day!

Paper Players #102

Hello everyone and happy Monday! How was everyone’s weekend? Mine was good, I got to see some friends, craft and my brother and his fiancé picked up the Wedding invitations! I’m so happy they are finished and that they were happy with them. Next up… thank you cards! 🙂

Today’s post is for this week’s Paper Players Challenge. This week we have a theme challenge, Christmas in July…

I was very happy to get to use some of my new Christmas stamps. The base of my card is Cherry Cobbler Card Stock. I embossed a piece of Very Vanilla with the Stripes Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and adhered it to the front of the card. The greeting at the top is from the Cheerful Christmas Stampin’ Around Wheel. I used the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack to punch out the letters. Then I used the Ticket Duo Builder Punch with Gumball Green Card Stock and adhered the letters to it with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The middle is a piece of Cherry Cobbler cut out with the Labels Collection Framelits Dies. I stamped the image from the Chock-Full of Cheer Stamp Set in Gumball Green and punched it our with the 1 3/4″ Circle Punch. The ornament loop is stamped in VersaMark and the heat embossed with Pewter Stampin’ Emboss Powder. In the middle is a Vintage Faceted Designer Button with a piece of Cherry Cobbler punched out with the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack and a Basic Jewels Rhinestone adhered in the center. The whole thing is mounted to the label with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The paper bow at the top was also stamped in Cherry Cobbler using the Cheerful Christmas Wheel and cut and assembled with Sticky Strip. Another Rhinestone is adhered in the middle. The bottom image is also from the Chock-Full of Cheer Stamp Set and is stamped in Gumball Green. I used still more Rhinestones in the middle of each image and mounted it to a piece of Gumball Green Card Stock and still more Stampin’ Dimensionals adhere it to the card. I’m loving the brighter Gumball Green for the holiday’s this year. I hope that you enjoyed today’s Paper Players Challenge card and that you are inspired to make some holiday cards too. Thank you so much for visiting and have a great day!

Happy Anniversary Cathy & Paul!

Good morning all! How is everyone’s weekend so far? Mine has been great! I finished the Wedding invites, made a few boxes, saw my friend Carol and then went to the city with my daughter to see my friends that are in town from Missouri. Angie, Katey, Dawn, Mackenzie, Kim, Taylor and I all went to Central Park and then just hung out at the apartment and laughed and talked. It was so good to see everyone and I hope to go and see them soon. 🙂

Today’s project was made for my friend Carol to give to our friends Cathy & Paul for their Anniversary. It consists of a box and card. The box is made with the Simply Scored Scoring Tool. The top is Pool Party and the bottom is Crumb Cake. I adhered a photo of the lovely couple with SNAIL and used my Paper Cutter to cut out the Crumb Cake frame around the photo. The images are from the Happy Hour Stamp Set and are stamped in Pool Party, Calypso Coral and Island Indigo and cut out with my Paper Snips. The top greeting is from the same set and is stamped in Calypso Coral and punched out with the Large Oval Punch. I took a thin strip of Pool Party and flagged the ends and mounted it behind the oval for a little more interest. For the lower greeting I used the Memorable Moments Stamp Set and stamped it in Island Indigo and punched that out with the Extra Large Oval Punch. Three Basic Jewels Rhinestones complete the box and give it a little bling!

The card is made using the Note Cards & Envelopes Pack. The card is 3 1/2″ x 5″. I embossed some Island Indigo with the Fancy Fan Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and adhered it to the card front on top of a piece of Crumb Cake. The two champagne glasses are from the Embellished Events Stamp Set and are stamped in Pool Party and cut out with my Paper Snips. I added some more Basic Jewels Rhinestones to the bubbles and adhered them to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The greeting is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set and is stamped in Calypso Coral. I used the Word WIndow Punch to punch it out and then a piece of Calypso Coral, punched out with the Modern Label Punch, is placed behind it. I really like the project and love that it all coordinates even though it’s different stamp sets. I hope that you enjoyed today’s project and that you are inspired to make some boxes! Thank you so much for stopping by and have an awesome day!

Happy Anniversary Cathy & Paul!

Easy Cupcake Flag Doily B’Day

Good morning and a very happy Friday to you all! I had to work a Golf Outing yesterday and it was hot and buggy, not my favorite two things at all! I hope that you had a better day and that you have some fun things planned for this weekend. Today’s card is another sort of CASE from the new Holiday Catalog. The basic idea for the card is similar but I changed up a lot of stuff too. I started with a base of Naturals Card Stock. I took a piece of Whisper White and made a large flagged end on the bottom. Two strips punched out with the Dotted Scalloped Ribbon Border Punch from Pool Party Card Stock are adhered under the flag. I used the Essentials Paper-Piercing Pack and my Paper-Piercer across the top and bottom. The image is from the Easy Events Stamp Set and I have been looking to use it for a while, it has been neglected. 🙂 I colored it in with Wisteria Wonder and So Saffron Stampin’ Write Markers. The greeting is from the Create A Cupcake Stamp Set and is stamped in Basic Black on Pool Party and is punched out with the Decorative Label Punch. The smallest doily from the Delicate Doilies Large Sizzlits Die is cut out from Wisteria Wonder Card Stock and is adhered on the back. Two SIlver Mini Brads are on either side and it is adhered to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I hope that you enjoyed today’s card and are inspired to change things up a bit too! Have a great day!

Freshly Made Sketches #41

Hello and good morning to you all. How was everyone’s Wednesday? Mine was great! If you ever get the chance to see Wicked go! It was just as good the second time as it was the first! I had a great day in the city with my peeps. Hopefully the weather will cooperate on Saturday because we are all planning a little trip to the beach. 🙂

Today’s card is for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches Challenge. Cindy has given us this sketch to work from…

I started my card with a base of Crumb Cake cut to 8 1/2″ x 4 1/4′ and folded in half. The left side of the background is Rose Red Card Stock embossed with the Fancy Fan Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. The right side is a piece of Floral District Designer Series Paper. The stamped image is from the Tea Shoppe Stamp Set and is stamped in Crumb Cake on Whisper White and backed with a piece of Crumb Cake. The thin strip of Rose Red across the bottom is flagged using the 1″ Square Punch. I used the Essentials Paper-Piercing Pack and the Paper-Piercer to pierce the line down the center. The greeting is also from the Tea Shoppe Stamp Set and is stamped in Rose Red and Crumb Cake and punched out with the Modern Label Punch. All of the stamped items are mounted to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The card is very clean and simple and I love the contrast of the bright Rose Red with the soft Crumb Cake. I hope that you enjoyed this weeks Freshly Made Sketches Challenge card. Thank you very much for visiting and have a great day!

Mojo 247

Hello everyone and how are you all doing today? I’m doing well. It rained here again yesterday and actually was a little chilly out last night, however it’s nice and sunny and cool outside this morning. Today’s card is for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge. Julee Tilman has give us this to work with…

Like I keep saying one day I will give the round card a try but for this week I went with square again. The base of the card is Gumball Green Card Stock. I used my Big Shot to emboss a piece of Primrose Petals Card Stock with the Petals-A-Plenty Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. Then I cut a frame out of Whisper White Card Stock with my Paper Trimmer and the randomly stamped one of the images from the Four Seasons Stamp Set (Host(ess)) in Gumball Green. I placed a piece of Patio Party Designer Series Paper behind it and adhered it to the card with SNAIL. The band underneath the main image is Summer Starfruit and I used a piece of Gumball Green 3/8″ Stitched Satin Ribbon down the middle. The large stamped image is also from the Four Seasons Stamp Set and is stamped in Primrose Petals and punched out using the 2 3/8″ Scallop Circle Punch. I stamped the image a second time and punched the middle out with the 1″ Circle Punch. The whole thing is adhered to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The greeting is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set and is stamped in Summer Starfruit and cut out with the Bitty Banners Framelits Dies. I really like the new In-Colors and the unusual combination on today’s card especially. I hope that you enjoyed today’s post and thank you so much for checking in. Have a great day! 🙂

Paper Players #101

Good morning everyone! How was your weekend? Mine was very nice. My friend Kim was out for the weekend, the party was great on Saturday and yesterday it was beautiful outside. It rained a little here last night and looks like rain today too but all in all it was a great weekend. Today’s post is for this weeks Paper Players Challenge. This week Lesley has given us this sketch…

My card starts with a base of Certainly Celery Card Stock. In the middle is a piece of Subtles Collection Designer Series Paper and on either side I used the Large Scallop Edgelits Die with some Rose Red Card Stock. The stamped images are from the Stippled Blossoms Stamp Set, a 2 Step Stamp Set, and are stamped in Pretty In Pink and Rose Red for the flower and the leaves are stamped in Certainly Celery and Wild Wasabi. I cut both images out with my handy Paper Snips and mounted them on Stampin’ Dimensionals to a cutout from the Delicate Doilies Large Sizzlits Die. The band of Wild Wasabi Card Stock across the middle of the card is embossed with the Delicate Designs Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. Finally the greeting is from the Sweet Essentials Stamp Set, stamped in Rose Red, I punched it out with the Modern Label Punch and then punched a piece of Rose Red Card Stock with the same punch and cut it half and adhered it to the back. The color combination is nice and bright and cheery and the greeting makes the card perfect for a birthday. I hope that you enjoyed this weeks Paper Players Challenge card. Thank you very much for visiting and have a great Monday!

PPA 137

Good morning! Happy Sunday to you all! How is everyone’s weekend so far? Mine is going pretty well. The party yesterday for my friend Tony’s was a lot of fun. My friend Kim Doi, my daughter Taylor and I snuck out last night, put the top down in the car and went for a ride down to Long Beach. We had nice long walk on the boardwalk, about 3 miles. The weather was perfect yesterday and it looks nice out today too.

Today’s post is for this week’s Pals Paper Arts Challenge. This time for the now bi-weekly challenge we have a sketch challenge…

Nice and simple and I thought the perfect sketch for me to use my Floral Frames Framelits Dies. The base of my card is Rose Red Card Stock and to that I added a piece of the Floral District Designer Series Paper. I stamped the image from the Daydream Medallions in Tangerine Tango and Rich Razzleberry and cut them out and a piece of coordinating card stock for each with the Floral Frames Framelits Dies. I used my Bone Folder to slightly curl the edges of the stamped images. The middle of the Tangerine Tango one has a stamped image from the Lacey & Lovely Stamp Set punched out with the 1 3/8″ Circle Punch and the Rich Razzleberry one has an image from the A Fitting Occasion Stamp Set punched out with the 1″ Circle Punch. The Fleur De Lis is cut out with my Paper Snips. All of the elements are mounted to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I took a piece of 1/2″ Baja Breeze Card Stock and used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to stamp the thank you from Teeny Tiny Wishes in Rich Razzleberry and then scored it to make it pop up a little for a raised ribbon look. I love the bold look of the card and hope it inspires you. Thank you for stopping by and enjoy your Sunday!]
