Mojo 228

Hello everyone! Happy Valentine’s Day! I hope that your week has gotten off to a good start. This weeks Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge was created by one of my favorites, Mary Fish…

The base of the card is Wisteria Wonder. I ran some Very Vanilla through my Big Shot using the Perfect Details Texturz Plate for a subtle embossed effect. The top note die is great by itself but when you turn a cutout 90 degrees and run it through again you get a great square top note. The Perfect Pennants Bigz L Die is where the scalloped circle, in Elegant Eggplant, came from. I used the P.S. I Love You Stamp set for the cupid, stamped in Pear Pizzaz, and the Sweet Cake Stamp Set for the greeting also stamped in Pear Pizzaz. The greeting is punched out with the Modern Label Punch and the cupid with the 1 3/4″ Circle Punch. I used the Perfect Polkadots Textured Impressions Embossing Folder with a small piece of Very Vanilla and mounted it on some Pear Pizzaz. Some Stampin’ Dimensionals and a Pear Pizzaz Small Heart Punch heart and the card is finished. I hope you like the card and thanks so much for stopping by. Kim’s Enchanted Valentine

Hello everyone! Did everyone have a good weekend? Mine was great! I had a Kids Party in Manhattan yesterday and it was so much fun. Such a talented bunch of kids. Today’s card is a Valentine for an awesome friend and huge supporter of my crafting, Kim. She has been a close friend of mine for along time and I’m so grateful to have her in my life. The base of the card is Very Vanilla. I cut strips of the Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper and spaced them on the base. The hearts are from the P.S. I Love You Stamp Set (Occasions Mini) and are stamped in Poppy Parade and punched out with the Full Heart Punch. I choose the greeting from the Sweet Cake Stamp Set (Occasions Mini), stamped it in Poppy Parade and punched it out with the Decorative Label Punch. It’s a simple but elegant card and the perfect card for Kim! I hope you like the card and thanks for visiting, have a great day!

So Sweet Watermelon Mini

Happy Sunday peeps! How is everyone’s weekend so far? Mine is good, I’m off to Manhattan today for a Workshop. For today’s card I was inspired by Mary Fish over at Stampin’ Pretty. She had another one of her great One Minute to Wow videos using the Mouthwatering Stamp Set and a punch. This card would make a great Valentine for kids to give, a gift tag or just a note card to hand to someone. I used Lucky Limeade Card Stock for the base. The Perfect Polkadots Textured Impressions Embossing Folder is great for so many different cards and it works here too on Whisper White Card Stock. I choose the Watermelon stamp from the Mouthwatering Stamp Set (Occasions Mini) and used my Stampin’ Write Markers in Lucky Limeade and Cherry Cobbler to color in the stamp and the stamped it on Whisper White. The 2 1/2″ Circle Punch perfectly punches out the Watermelon! I just used my Paper Trimmer to cut off the other half of the circle. When you use the Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer Punch you get these little “seeds” left over and they work perfectly for the watermelon seeds. The sentiment is form the Sweet Cake Stamp Set (Occasions Mini) and is stamped in Cherry Cobbler. I used the Modern Label Punch to punch it out and punched out a second one in Cherry Cobbler and cut it in half and placed it sticking out on the sides behind it. Some Stampin’ Dimensionals to mount it and it’s all done. Who wouldn’t love to get this card?! Thanks so much for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Forever Enchanted Hearts

A very good Saturday morning to you all. It’s snowing here on Long Island, as long as it doesn’t stick to anything but the grass it looks pretty! For today’s card I did one that could be a Valentine or for an Anniversary. The base of the card is Pool Party Card Stock. Two strips of Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper are placed at the top and bottom. I stamped an image from the Take It To Heart Stamp Set in Peach Parfait and punched it out with the Full Heart Punch. Then I stamped another image from the same set and used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to line up the greeting from the Loving Thoughts Set. The greeting is stamped in Lucky Limeade. I used my Paper Snips to cut out the greeting and then the three pieces were adhered to the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals. It’s a quick and clean card suitable for all kinds of different occasions. Thanks for stopping by and have a great Saturday!

So Sweet Cone

Happy Friday to everyone! I hope that you have some good plans for this weekend! For today’s card I decided to do a quick note card that could be used either as a Valentine or a Thank You. The UPS man dropped off a box today and inside was the Mouthwatering Clear Mount Set. I used my Stampin’ Write Markers in Pretty In Pink. Crumb Cake and Cherry Cobbler to color in the Ice Cream Cone stamp then I stamped it on Whisper White and mounted it on Crumb Cake. The Ticket Corner Punch is always a great way to add some interest and after I stamped the You’re So Sweet from the Sweet Cake Set I mounted them both with Stampin’ Dimensionals on some Pretty In Pink that I ran through the Big Shot in the Perfect Polkadots Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. It’s a nice simple card that is sure to make someone feel special and maybe even want a strawberry ice cram cone with a cherry on top! Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!

Elementary Birthday

Hello everyone and welcome to Thursday, I can feel the weekend it’s so close! For today’s card I used some of the FREE Sale-A-Bration items that you can get for every $50 you spend until March 31, 2012. I love all of the stuff in the Sale-A-Bration Catalog especially the Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper. It has great colors for spring. The card base is Peach Parfait and I used the 3/16″ Corner Rounder on two adjacent corners. I placed a piece of the Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper in the middle and crossed with a piece of Pool Party Card Stock punched along one edge with the Scallop Trim Border Punch. I stamped the main image from the Elementary Elegance Stamp Set in Peach Parfait on Very Vanilla Card Stock and the stamped the Happy Birthday in Pool Party and punched it out with the Curly Label Punch (which just happens to fit right inside the other image!). I mounted it on some Stampin’ Dimensionals for a little dimension. I stamped two of the butterfly images, also from the same set, in Pool Party and punched them out with the Small Oval Punch. A very good morning to you all. It’s Wednesday people… we are halfway there! Today, I give you this weeks Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge…

I love playing along each week, the sketch gets the creative juices flowing! I used Soft Suede, Poppy Parade, Crumb Cake, Pool Party and Very Vanilla Card Stock. I decided to go with a simple design. For the background I used the Perfect Polkadots Textured Impressions Embossing Folder with Soft Suede and, what is my favorite one of late, the Vintage Wallpaper Textured Impressions Embossing Folder with Poppy Parade. A piece of Crumb Cake punched with the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch conceals the seam. The Happy Birthday, from the Elementary Elegance Stamp Set (Sale-A-Bration), is stamped in Lucky Limeade and then sponged with Crumb Cake. The awesome Labels Collection Framelits Die was embossed with the Designer Frames Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (idea courtesy of Mary Fish) and also sponged in Crumb Cake. A piece of Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper (Sale-A-Bration) and a piece of Pool Party Card Stock is slipped in behind. The bow is Crumb Cake Seam Binding Ribbon and was tied using the fork method (courtesy of Sandy Mathis) and adds the perfect finishing touch. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Paper Players #81

Good Tuesday morning to everyone! Four more days left until the weekend! For this weeks Paper Players Challenge #81 they ask that you include a floral image…

I decided to use the Mixed Bunch Stamp Set from the Occasions Mini. It’s one of my favorite sets and it coordinates with a punch and we all know how much I love a punch! I stamped two flowers, one in Calypso Coral on Very Vanilla Card Stock and one in Pool Party on Pool Party Card Stock. The 1″ Circle Punch works perfectly with the flower middle. I mounted them together with a brad from the Everyday Enchantment Ribbon and Brad pack (Sale-A-Bration – FREE with a $50 purchase). Then I ran some Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper (Sale-A-Bration) through the Big Shot using the Labels Collection Framelits Dies. I stamped another of the images in Soft Suede on Soft Suede Card Stock for the card base and rounded 3 of the four corners. The Memories greeting is from the Loving Thoughts Stamp Set and it was stamped in Calypso Coral on Very Vanilla. I used the 1 1/4″ Square punch to make the flag end. Love & Laughter Anniversary

Good morning all. Did everyone have a good Superbowl? I ate way more than I should have but we had fun! For today’s card I made an Anniversary Card for my friends Brian & Kim. I used Soft Suede, Calypso Coral and Very Vanilla Card Stock. The beautiful bride’s dress image is from Love & Laughter and is stamped in Calypso Coral. I cut out the image and put a piece of Calypso Coral 1/8″ Organdy Ribbon from the Everyday Enchantment Ribbon & Brad Pack around the waist. I stamped one greeting from the Occasions Alphabet Set and mounted the two pieces on Soft Suede that was cut out using the Labels Collection Framelits Dies. Using the Perfect Polkadots Textured Impressions Embossing Folder I ran some Calypso Coral through the Big Shot. I rounded the corners with the 3/16″ Corner Rounder and also did the same on the Soft Suede Card Base. A piece of 5/8″ Very Vanilla Grosgrain Ribbon was place on the Calypso Coral background and I mounted the Soft Suede Label on Stampin Dimensionals. The greeting at the top is from Teeny Tiny Wishes and was also rounded and popped up on Stampin Dimensionals. I hope you like the card as much as they did and thanks so much for stopping by! PPA 128

Happy Superbowl Sunday to everyone! I hope everybody has some plans for the big game. I’m going over a friends house for some food and fun, oh and I think there is a football game on too! For this weeks Pals Paper Arts Challenge they ask you to use any red…

With Valentine’s Day fast approaching it’s the perfect color! Instead of a Valentine I choose to do a Birthday Card using Red Riding Hood, Whisper White and Basic Grey Card Stock. I used the Mixed Bunch Stamp Set and some Versamark to heat emboss one of the images with Black Stampin’ Emboss Powder. I punched the image out with the Blossom Punch and another one in Basic Grey. I used a 3/16″ Metallic Brad in Silver to hold them together. Using the 2 1/2″ Circle Punch I punched out a piece of Riding Hood Red and mounted the flower on it with Stampin’ Dimensionals. For the top half of the background I used a Riding Hood Red Marker and my Color Spritzer tool and the bottom half is piece of Twitterpated Designer Series Paper. The greeting is from Happiest Birthday Wishes and is stamped in Basic Grey and mounted on a piece of Basic Grey Card Stock. A piece of Riding Hood Red Pleated Satin Ribbon finishes off the card.
