Hello Baby Boy Booties

I went to a Stampin’ Up! team meeting with my good friend Sandy last Saturday. It was in Washingtonville NY. We had a great time and I got all kinds of new ideas. The fact that it snowed and it took 3.5 hours to get home only made it more of an adventure. I also won the Stitched Stocking Clear Mount Set. I didn’t really think about using it for anything else besides Christmas and then I saw a card where it was used for baby booties. What a great idea! Here is my take on the card below. I used Marina Mist ink and card stock and the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder. I love the way the card came out and hope you like it too. Thanks for visiting and have a great day!

Mojo 212

This weeks Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge is to use a tag. I love tags! I decided to keep it elegant by using Real Red, Basic Black & Very Vanilla. The vanilla polka dots embossed and then placed on the vanilla card has a nice clean look. I have never used the get well soon sentiment before, probably hoping that I never have to! Overseas Cards

A good friend of mine, Chantal, recently went on a trip to Paris to see her family. She asked me if I would make a bunch of cards for her to take with her to give to them. I of course was thrilled. PPA 116

For this weeks Pals Paper Arts the challenge is a sketch. It’s three squares with a band. I decided to do a traditional Christmas card, colors that is. The card itself is 4.25 x 4.25 square. I used some Garden Green Cherry Cobbler and Very Vanilla Smooth Card Stock. I ran the Very Vanilla through the Big Shot with the new Snow Burst Embossing Folder. The Stitched Stockings Clear Mount Set and the Stocking Builder Punch are a great addition to anyones Holiday craft arsenal. I love the Merry Christmas from the Christmas Greeting Wood Mount Set. Happy Birthday Sandy!

Today is my super talented, all around awesome fellow Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator and good friend Sandy’s birthday! She is a super nice person and a great teacher. I had to make an extra special birthday card for her. I like the tri-shutter cards because they are different and look cool when you open them and stand them up. I tried to match it a little to the dresser I made for her as an early present. I used the Stampin’ Up! Pretty Postage Clear Mount Set and the Postage Punch as well as the Retired Birthday Bliss Wood Mount Set punched out with the Large Tag Punch for the greetings. They were stamped in Marina Mist and Early Espresso Classic Stampin’ Ink. I love the color combination. You can visit Sandy’s blog here:

Frostwood Thanks Hybrid

I have been playing around with Stampin’ Up!s My Digital Studio a lot over the past few day. I like the instant delivery! I’m a big fan of instant gratification! I made this card using a Designer Series Paper from the Frostwood Lodge DSP Digital Download. I like the wood pattern, it definitely gives the card a lodge feel. I also used the Define Your Life Stamp Brush Set. I would rather have the stamps but they were retired a while ago. The butterflies and thanks are from the Kindness Matters Clear Mount Set. The card definitely had a masculine theme to it which seems to be a trend with me lately! Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

Plaid Christmas

I have been playing withStampin’ Up!’s My Digital Studio for a few days now and I am really liking it. I like the idea of having Designer Series Paper ready to print at a moments notice. The colors are very close to the original, not perfect but close. I wanted to do another non-traditional Christmas card using some Marina Mist. I always love to use my Owl Builder Punch so I threw him in there too. I love the colors and can’t wait to play around a little more. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Elegant Olive Birthday

I wanted to make a simple masculine birthday card tonight and this is what I came up with. I downloaded My Digital Studio Express today and was playing around with the stuff that it comes with. The background on the card is from the Designer Series Paper that is included. I printed it out on Whisper White Card Stock. I think it came out pretty true to color. I used the Delightful Dozen Clear Mount Set for the Greeting, stamped it in Elegant Eggplant and again in Old Olive and cut out one of the phrases and mounted it on Dimensionals. The candy phrase is from the Spooky Bing Bits Clear Mount Set, punched out with the Postage Stamp Punch. The cupcake is from the Cupcake Builder Punch. I like the way it came out seeing as I had no idea where I was going with it when I started! Thanks for stopping by and taking a look!

Izzy’s First Birthday!

One of my closest friends, Kim, asked me if I would make the invitations for her daughter’s first birthday party. I of course was more than happy to do it. She came to a Workshop that I had with my friend Melissa and ordered the items that she wanted me to use. Being that Izzy’s birthday falls near October 31st she decided to go with a Halloween theme. She said that it will probably get tired after a few years but I think it would be so cool that if every year for your birthday everyone got dressed up, don’t you?! So here is the card I came up with. I think it’s very Halloween without being super creepy. I love the spider, he has spiked hair! He is on a window that when you lift it up it say “eeek!” underneath. The card ingredients are below. Thanks for looking and have a spooky fun day!

Mojo 210

For this weeks Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge I decided to follow it as close to the letter as I could. I really like clean layout. I like the black, grey and  white together, I think it gives a very formal look. To make it a bit more on the fun side I stamped some birthday horns and the word celebrate in a fun font.
