Paper Craft Crew 188

And how is your week going? We are at the halfway point and mine is going well. Yesterday I had a pretty busy day, just the way that I like them! I FaceTimed with Andrea in the morning and then had a little lunch with my parents. Around 1:30 I stopped at A. C. Moore, I had a $10 rewards certificate that I just had to get rid of! I bought another bead storage container for sequins and other embellies, it’s the one with the bigger compartments this time. From there I stopped and got some gas and then headed over to Scrap-A-Latte to visit Renee for a little while. We had a nice chat and she shared some of her home-made peach strudel with me. After that I headed over to Deer Park to pick up Bill. He had to drop off Anthony’s van to be fixed, there is a problem with the wheelchair ramp. I drove Bill back to Anthony’s and visited with them for a bit before heading over to Heather’s. We went and had dinner at Applebee’s and then stopped at Lowes so I could get some hardware to hang her new chandelier. After that was finished we watched a little TV and had a laughing fit that lasted about 20 minutes! They are the best aren’t they?! I got home around 12:30 and that was my day!

Today I have my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge…

My card starts with a base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. Across the lower half is a piece of Copper Glitter Tape. The two panels are pieces of paper from the Heidi Swapp Dreamy 6×6 Paper Pad. I used the Lawn Fawn 4Bar Stitched Rectangles to cut them out. A piece of Blushing Bride that is cut with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Scalloped Borders Lawn Cuts is adhered to the left side of the smaller panel and they are both adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. My circle is cut from a piece of “Vintage” Summer Starfruit with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Circles Lawn Cuts. I heat embossed my greeting from the Hero Arts Many Everyday Messages Photopolymer Stamp Set in Ranger Copper Embossing Powder onto a piece of Balck 110lb. It’s adhered to the card with Foam Tape. The fun flower is a Wooden Embellishment from Recollections. I coated the front in Versa-Mark and heat embossed it with more of the Copper Powder, it’s adhered with Multi-Matte Medium along with a few Pretty Pink Posh Bronze and Onyx Sequins. I love the copper with fun muted brights on the paper and the sparkle of the glitter tape is a nice added touch! Global Design Project 28

Happy Friday my friends! It was a little chilly here yesterday and today we are supposed to get rain. I’ll be at Scrap-A-Latte for the day so Renee can have a little time to herself. Yesterday I crafted in the morning with Andrea via FaceTime and then went over and had lunch with Brian, Kim and the kiddies. When I got back home I saw Daniel for a little bit and then continued crafting. Around 7:00 Heather called and asked if I wanted to take a ride to IKEA to get a new desk with her so I gladly went. I put the desk together when we got back to her place and then updated her Mac for her. I also installed the software so that she can scan wirelessly. That made her a happy girl! I really do enjoy spending time with my peeps more than anything else!

For today’s card I thought that I would try out a new challenge, the Global Design Project…

I took some of the layout from the card and made a fun little peeps wreath! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I took a piece of Solar White 80lb and used my Mini Ink Blending Tool to add a little Simon Says Stamp Audrey Blue to serve as a backdrop for my wreath. The panel is mounted to a piece of Black 110lb and that is then adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. The wreath is cut from some Tim Holtz Watercolor Card using the Simon Says Stamp Chisholm Wreath. I added some Gathered Twigs with an Ink Blending tool and adhered it to the card with Elmer’s Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. My peeps are from the Simon Says Stamp My Kind of Peep Photopolymer Stamp Set. They are heat embossed in Simon Says Stamp Clear Fine Detail Embossing Powder on more Watercolor Card and cut out with the Coordinating Dies. To color them in I used Abandoned Coral, Mermaid Lagoon and Twisted Citron Distress Markers scribbled onto a clear acrylic block and picked up with a wet paintbrush. I adhered them to the wreath with Foam Tape and added the eyes and noses with a Black Glaze Gel Pen. A few Pretty Pink Posh Aquamarine, Lime Sorbet and Sparkling Clear Sequins are added to the wreath in between the peeps. Finally my greeting, also from the same stamp set, is stamped in Onyx Black in the lower right corner. I still am loving those peeps and they look pretty neat watercolored! SIP Challenge 40 – Tic-Tac-Toe from Lisa!

Well, the snow is all gone! It was a nice day yesterday, not warm but sunny. I spent most of the day deciding what to do, don’t you just hate that?! I FaceTimed with Andrea, wished her a Happy Birthday and we crafted for a bit. Taylor and Kiera stopped by, they watched a little TV and I went over to my parent’s to eat dinner. When I got back home I watched some TV and crafted a bit more. I said that it was going to be a relaxing day. Tonight I’m going to the movies with Andrew to see Allegiant. That should be fun!

Today I’m over on the Stamp, Ink, Paper blog for this week’s challenge… a Tic-Tac-Toe from Lisa…

I went directly across the middle! Sequins and gold and I was sold! LOL! My card base is a piece of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the Lawn Fawn Large Stitched Rectangles to cut out a piece of paper from the Recollections Midnight Magic 6×6 Pad and a also a piece of Acetate. The heart is cut out from the gold paper with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Heart Stackables. I adhered the Acetate to the back of the gold paper with E-Z Runner and then added Foam Tape to the back of that. Some Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear, Gold and Ballerina Pink Sequins are placed inside and a piece of Black 110lb is adhered to the back of that. The panel is then attached to the card base with more E-Z Runner. All of the images and greeting are from the Lawn Fawn Happy Wedding Photopolymer Stamp Set and are stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black. I used my Copics to color them in and the coordinating Lawn Cuts to cut them out. The greeting is stamped in Onyx Black along with the music notes, the hearts in Simon Says Stamp Rosie Cheeks Ink, it’s then cut out with the Lawn Fawn Everyday Sentiment Banners Lawn Cuts. I adhered all of the pieces to the card with Foam Tape. Some Uni-ball Gold Gel Pen colors in the hearts on the cake and a little Glossy Accents added to the champagne glasses gives them a little shine! I love that little wedding set and the new banners dies are perfect for so many of the Lawn Sentiments! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! Happy St. Paddy’s Day! I celebrated a little early with Brian last night, hence the late post this morning! LOL! Yesterday I went over to Scrap-A-Latte and got most of my stuff cut for class and got to see Renee for a bit. She left early so I stayed and locked up. I had some dinner when I got home and then Brian and I took a ride to Brooklyn to get one of our friend’s cars. He’s a fireman and will be going to the parade today so he didn’t want to drive home later. After we dropped off the car at his house we went to Riley’s so Brian could eat and we ended up having a few beers to celebrate! I’ll be heading over to Scrap-A-Latte for class later on. I get to see Danielle and Andrew, they will be at tonight’s class! Yay!

Today I have my card for this week’s Paper Players color challenge…

I don’t know why but when I see a bunch of bold colors like these I somehow always try and just use those colors! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I covered the front with a piece of Calypso Coral. Next, I took the Simon Says Stamp Present Shaker Craft Die and cut it out from a piece of Bermuda Bay and Black 110lb. The Black is trimmed out to be the frame for the present and is adhered to the card with Multi-Matte Medium. I adhered a piece of Acetate to the back of the Bermuda Bay and then some Foam Tape to create my well for the shaker goodies! To fill up the shaker part I used a little Recollections Mini Black Star Glitter and some Teal Glitter that I got from Target. It’s sprinkled on the card and then the front panel is adhered over it to seal it in. A piece of American Crafts Black Glitter Paper is then cut out with the bow from the die set and adhered with Multi-Matte Medium. Finally, my greeting from the Simon Says Stamp Birthday Balloons Photopolymer Stamp Set is stamped in Onyx Black across the top. A fun simple shaker card that would work well for just about anyone! And it’s Thursday already! Another week just whipping by! Yesterday was another nice day here, a little colder but sunny. I went over to Heather’s for lunch and had some of her homemade chicken soup, it was delicious! We spent a little time chatting while she worked, she works from home, my ideal job! When I left Heather’s I decided that I would stop by my old office to drop off Danielle’s scarf that she left at my house a few weeks ago. It was really nice to see everyone! I do miss Danielle, Nicole, Cindy and Robin. Nancy wasn’t there, she is on vacation with her family so I will have to go back and see her. When I got back home I crafted with Andrea over FaceTime before having dinner with my parents. The rest of the evening was spent doing a little more crafting and getting sucked into watching videos of Adele’s opening night concert in Ireland. She really is just amazing! Today, I’ll be heading over to see my friend Sue and then a quick stop off to see Renee!

The card that I have to share with you today is for this week’s Paper Players sketch from Claire…

Andrea had commented that I haven’t used Stampin’ Up! in a while so I thought that today’s card would be perfect for some of the new stuff from the Occasions Catalog! My card base is Ivory 110lb Card Stock. Across the lower half is a piece of Basic Gray that I embossed with the Lucky Stars Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. Above that is a piece of “Vintage” Brushed Gold Card Stock. My panel down the left is a piece of paper from the Going Places Designer Series Paper Stack, I adhered it to the card with Black Fun Foam and SNAIL. My globe and greeting are from the Going Global Clear Mount Stamp Set. I heat embossed the globe in Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder on more Ivory 110lb, the greeting is stamped in Onyx Black also on Ivory. I used the Sizzix Circles Framelits to cut out the globe and the greeting is punched out with the 1″ Circle Punch. They are both adhered to the card with Foam Tape. I tucked a banner cut from more Brushed Gold under the globe and then added some Pretty Pink Posh Gold and Onyx Sequins along with a few Studio Calico Wood Veneer Stars. SIP Challenge 37 – Wood, Cork, Felt!

Hello! It turned out to be a very nice day here yesterday after a brief shower in the morning. I headed over to Scrap-A-Latte to go and see Renee and finish my cards for the March Lawn Fawn class. We chatted and then had some dinner before I headed home. When I got back to the house I let Winston out and I was standing there reading something on my iPhone when I was startled to see a raccoon the size of a small bear cub walk by me not four feet away! Thankfully I had already let Winston in! YIKES! I guess as long as neither one of us bothers the other one all is good! LOL! This morning I’m off to spend the day at Scrap-A-Latte so Renee can have a little time off. Come by and say hi if you are in the area!

Tuesday… yup it’s Tuesday! Time for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! We are also welcoming Marisa Gunn as a Guest Designer for the month of March! Thanks for joining us Marisa! This week I came up with a fun Wood, Cork, Felt Challenge…

All you have to do is use one of these on your project! I of course had to use all three! LOL! The card base for today is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with a piece of Pink Pirouette covering the front. I adhered a panel of Adhesive Cork Sheet on top of that. My tag is a wooden one that I picked up at Michaels along with the butterfly. The flowers and leaves are cut out from some pink and light green felt, also from Michaels, with the Essential by Ellen Bold Blooms Stand Alone Dies. I adhered them to the wooden tag with Multi-Matte Medium along with the butterfly. A length of Papertrey Ink Natural Twine is tied thought the top and then the tag is adhered to the card with E-Z- Runner. My greeting is from the Mama Elephant Labeled Messages Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Simon Says Stamp Jellybean Ink on a piece of Ivory 100lb and also adhered with E-Z Runner. I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Clear Droplets with more Multi-Matte Medium to give the card just a little more texture! I really do enjoy using some natural elements on a card, makes for a nice change from paper alone! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! SIP Challenge 34 – Love!

Happy Tuesday peeps! We got some more snow here, it actually started snowing early yesterday morning and still hasn’t stopped! Ugh! Enough with the snow already! LOL! I had a nice day yesterday with my friend Sue! We got lots more stuff ready for Etsy and had a nice lunch at the Deli. I came home and had dinner with my Parents and then FaceTimed with Andrea while I made my card for today. Before calling it a night I watched a little TV to have a little wind down. I’ll be back over to Sue’s tomorrow to finish up!

Its time for another Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! This week we have a timely Love theme…

Just in time for Sunday! My card base today is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used a piece of paper from the Recollections Valentine’s Day 6×6 Paper Pad to make my banner. The heart is some Tim Holtz Watercolor Card that I heat embossed my sentiment onto from the Simon Says Stamp Paper Hug Photopolymer Stamp Set with some Hero Arts White Embossing Powder. The heart is then cut out with the Lawn Fawn Fawn Hearts Stackables Lawn Cuts. I used Candied Apple Distress Ink to watercolor the card, making the greeting stand out. A little spritz with my Mini Mister and then some paper towel to pick it up and the heart is finished. I adhered it to the card with Fun Foam and SNAIL. The little gold hearts are cut from Gold Foil Sheet using the Simon Says Stamp Mini Hearts Outline Wafer Dies. I adhered them to the card with 2-Way Glue. I love the watercolored heart and the tiny outline hearts are so neat! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Love Theme Challenge! Mojo Monday 434

I thoroughly enjoyed my Sunday! Breakfast was delicious, Heather makes one superb omelette! We ran to Target and BJ’s, not the best idea on Super Bowl Sunday! LOL! Long lines but what can you do?! I came home around 2:00 and worked on my card for today. I had to go and retrieve Brian and Kim from the airport at 6:00 so I left my house around 5:20. They took a while to get through immigration but jetBlue has some really comfy seats where you wait for them to come out so I took a little nap! I was back home by 8:00, had some dinner and watched the Super Bowl Half-Time Show, pretty good! Today I’m off to see my friend Sue!

It’s Monday and that means time for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch…

My card today starts off with a base of Ivory 110lb Card Stock. I used the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangles to cut out a piece of Pink Pirouette for the background and adhered it with SNAIL. The piece of paper is from the Heidi Swapp Hello Today 4 1/2 x 6 1/2 Paper Pad and I used the Lawn Fawn 4 Bar Stitched Rectangles to cut it out, running it through twice to get the narrower rectangle. It’s adhered to the card with Fun Foam and SNAIL. Next I used the Petal Cut Peonies Dies from The Ton to cut out two pieces of Night of Navy. Some Elmer’s Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive holds them to the card. My thanks is from the Simon Says Stamp Thanks Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Simon Says Stamp Teeny Bikini Ink on some more Ivory 110lb. I flagged the left side and adhered it to the card with Foam Tape. My butterfly is from Recollections, I pushed it into my Simon Says Stamp Lake Shores Ink Pad to color it then into Versa-Mark. I added Simon Says Stamp Clear Fine Detail Embossing Powder and heated it with my Heat Tool, dipping it and reheating it a few times before adhering it to the banner with Multi-Matte Medium. Some Studio Calico Wood Stars and Pretty Pink Posh Marshmallow, Sand, Aquamarine and Pink Blush Sequins are adhered to the panel with Multi-Matte Medium and complete the card! I do love those flower dies form The Ton and the Wood Stars are still a favorite too! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge! Fab Friday 80

Happy Friday! I got some of my organizing done yesterday and then got sucked into Ellen videos on YouTube! I finally pulled myself away to go and have some dinner with Daniel and my parents. After that it was more Ellen on YouTube and then off to Heather’s for thirsty Thursday. Kim and Brian FaceTimed me from St. Lucia. Boy does it look really nice there! That has to go on my to visit list for sure! We watched Lip Sync Battle, always funny! It’s snowing here again this morning but is supposed to clear up by later on this afternoon and we may even see some sun!

After our little break over the Holidays it’s time once again for Fab Friday! This time we have some colors just in time for Valentine’s Day…

I always forget about Watermelon Wonder! LOL! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the Lawn Fawn 4 Bar Stitched Rectangles to cut out a piece of paper from the “Vintage” Stacked with Love Designer Series Paper Stack and adhered it to the card with Fun Foam and SNAIL. I also used the 4 Bar Stitched Rectangles to cut out some Real Red and adhered that to the Designer Series Paper with Multi-Matte Medium. My three hearts are cut out with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Heart Stackables Lawn Cuts from Watermelon Wonder and Blushing Bride and adhered to the card with Foam Tape. For a little more “Vintage” I cut out more Watermelon Wonder and Blushing Bride with the Chevrons form the Circle Card Thinlits and adhered them to the card with more Foam Tape. The greeting is a piece of Black 110lb cut out with the Lawn Fawn I Love You Border Lawn Cut and adhered across the hearts with Multi-Matte Medium. Finally I added some Pretty Pink Posh Onyx, Raspberry and Marshmallow Sequins. I love the clean collage look of the card and that I Love You is really cool! Freshly Made Sketches 221

Happy Friday peeps! Yesterday I ended up covering the store for Renee, she needs a day off every once in a while. I worked on a mixed media project while I was there and I hope to get to finish it today. This morning I have to clean out the old car and take it to it’s new owner. I had some good times in that car and it will be missed. I also have to get ready for my card class at The Ink Pad tonight. That will be fun as always. After Scrap-A-Latte I went to Heather’s for thirsty Thursday, loads of laughs with my peeps! One of my favorite evenings of the week! Not sure what’s on for the weekend, how about you?

Today’s card that I have for you is for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge…

I used some goodies from this month’s Simon Says Stamp Card Kit to make it! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the front covered in a piece of Black 110lb. For the background I used the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangles to cut out a piece of paper from the Crate Paper Hello, Love 6×6 Paper Pad and adhered it to the card with SNAIL. I cut out another piece of Black 110lb with two of the dies along with a piece of Vellum. My greeting is from the Simon Says Stamp Hello, Beautiful Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto the Vellum. The frame is then adhered to the Vellum and I used some Foam Tape around the back of the frame to create the space for my shaker. A few Crate Paper Hello, Love Sequins Hearts are placed on the card and the frame is adhered over the top. I think that funky paper is pretty cool and I love how the vellum makes all of it so subtle!
