Creative Peach Parade Parlor

Happy Wednesday everyone! Only two more days until my favorite day! I love my weekends, I always make a card every night but my weekends I can just be creative which is my favorite thing to do! For today’s card I used a “new to me” background stamp, Parlor Prints. The base of the card is Soft Suede and to that I added a piece of Very Vanilla stamped with the Parlor Prints Background Stamp in Peach Parfait. I stamped some images from the Creative Elements Stamp Set in Poppy Parade and cut them out with my Paper Snips. They were mounted on the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The greeting is from the Perfect Words (Host(ess)) Stamp set and is stamped in Peach Parfait and punched out with the Modern Label Punch. I placed that on a tag from the Lots of Tags Sizzlits Set using Soft Suede Card Stock. Two everyday Enchantment Brads from the Ribbon and Brad Pack (Sale-A-Bration) are the perfect finishing touch. The card is nice, simple and uncluttered but the background stamp gives it a vintage feel with some nice detail. Thanks for stopping by and have an magnificent day! 🙂

Mojo 233

Hello peeps! Happy Tuesday to you all. I forgot to mention yesterday that I went down to the High Line in Manhattan with my friend Kim on Sunday. The High Line is a section of old elevated train track that they have turned into a greenspace. If you get the chance go and see it, it’s quite neat! For this weeks Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge we have this to work with…

I always love the Mojo sketches and this is good one. With Sale-A-Bration over in less than two weeks I decided it was time to use it once again. The base of the card is Very Vanilla. I used two pieces of Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper (Sale-A-Bration) for the background and separated them with a piece of Very Vanilla 1/2″ Grosgrain Ribbon. I stamped some images from the Fresh Vintage Stamp Set (Sale-A-Bration) in Pool Party and Calypso Coral and punched them out with the 1/2″ Circle Punch and the Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer Punch. They are mounted on Stampin’ Dimensionals for a little extra pop. The greeting is from the Curly Cute Stamp Set and is stamped in Calypso Coral and mounted to a piece of Pool Party that was punched along one side with the Scallop Edge Border Punch.It’s actually a pretty simple card and I am loving the colors! Paper Players #87

Good morning and welcome to Monday, brought to you today by the Paper Players Challenge #87…

This week featuring… buttons! I have quite a few buttons but I always for get to use them, thankfully this weeks challenge reminded me! I used three different stamp sets that all coordinate quite well together. The base of the card is Baja Breeze and to that I added a background of Soft Suede that I ran through the Big Shot with the Square Lattice Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. I used the Young Vermillion Wood Mount Stamp for the focal image of the card stamped in Soft Suede. The detail in the image is amazing, it’s definitely a favorite of mine. The strip along the bottom, also stamped in Soft Suede, is from the Fresh Vintage Stamp Set (Sale-A-Bration) and it also coordinates with the Tea Shoppe Set (Occasions Mini). I choose the greeting from the Happiest Birthday Wishes (Host(ess)) Stamp Set and they are backed with Baja Breeze. All of the stamped images are adhered to the card with Stampin Dimensionals. For the perfect finishing touch I added three buttons in Baja Blue from the Twitterpated Designer Buttons (Occasions Mini) and adhered them with Mini Glue Dots. Razzleberry Bright Birthday

Good morning and happy Saturday! What is everyone up to this weekend? I’m going to make some cards today for some friends and spend some time outside, it’s supposed to be nice today. Today’s card is great when you just need a quick and simple birthday card. The card is a note card size and would be perfect for anyone. I used the Notecards Pack, they come with 20 pre-cut and scored note cards and 20 envelopes in Whisper White. The background is Daffodil Delight that was ran through the Big Shot in the Stripes Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. I used the Bright Blossoms Stamp Set (Pre-Order) to stamp some more Daffodil Delight and punched it out with the Large Oval Punch and then cut it in half to make the vases. I stamped the flowers in Rich Razzleberry on Whisper White and backed it with Rich Razzleberry Card Stock. The greeting is from the Party This Way Stamp Set (Sale-A-Bration) and is stamped in Rich Razzleberry and punched out with the Word Window Punch and backed by a piece of Rich Razzleberry punched out with the Modern Label Punch. I adhered it all to the background with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The card would be perfect for anyone and with a quick greeting change could be a thank you too. Happy Birthday Leigh

Good morning everyone. It’s Thursday, only one more day to go! Today’s card is for my daughter’s mom Leigh. We have been friends for a very long time. She has since gotten married and has another beautiful little girl who’s Birthday is today. I’ll post her card tomorrow. I’m continuing with my Sale-A-Bration themed cards. I used some more of my favorite Designer Series Paper Everyday Enchantment (Sale-A-Bration). I used it as a background adhered to some Pool Party Card Stock for the card base. The flower is Poppy Parade punched out with the Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer Punch. The small circle of Peach Parfait in the middle is an eye from the Owl Builder Punch. I used the stamp from Fresh Vintage (Sale-A-Bration) for the image that matches with the DSP perfectly and cut it out with the Labels Collection Framelits Dies (Occasions Mini). The greeting is from Elementary Elegance (Sale-A-Bration) and is also cut out with the Labels Collection Framelits Dies (Occasions Mini). I sponged the edges of both labels with my sponge daubers in matching ink. Leigh loved the card and I hope you enjoyed it too. Mojo 231

Good morning and happy Wednesday! I like Wednesday’s because it means that we are half way through and that much closer to Friday! For this weeks Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge they provided us with this lovely sketch…

I wanted to use as much Sale-A-Bration as I could for this card. I love all of the products in the Sale-A-Bration Catalog but these three are my favorites! I started with a card base of Poppy Parade and to that I choose a background of Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper (sale-A-Bration). The Paper Doily Large Sizzlits Die (Occasions Mini) is a great product once you get the shims for your Big Shot correct. I use two of the plastic ones and then use my Paper Piercer to push the pieces through. I cut it in half and then punched out a piece of Very Vanilla with the 2 1/2″ Circle punch and cut that in half and placed it behind before adhering it to the DSP. I think it gives it a little more separation. The strip of Peach Parfait was flagged with the 1 3/8″ Square punch. It makes it so easy to add a flag to anything. Some Everyday Enchantment Brads from the Ribbon and Brad Pack (Sale-A-Bration) are placed along the bottom edge. I stamped an image from the Fresh Vintage Stamp Set (Sale-A-Bration) in Poppy Parade and backed it with some Calypso Coral and rounded the corners with the 3/16″ Corner Rounder. It’s mounted on some Stampin’ Dimensionals and the flower at the top I punched out with the Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer Punch and placed another brad in the middle and the adhered it with a glue dot. The piece of Pool Party 3/8″ Ruffled Ribbon is adhered with some Sticky Strip for extra staying power. To finish off the card I stamped the greeting from Teeny Tiny Wishes and punched it out with the Word Window Punch. I love playing along with Mojo each week and hope that you enjoyed today’s card. Enchanted Bitty Box & Envelopes

Good morning all. It was really cold here on Long Island last night. I was thankful for my electric blanket! Thursday is supposed to be 60 degrees, I can almost taste spring! For today’s post I made a tiny box filled with 4 cards and 4 envelopes. The Bitty Box and Envelope Bigz XL Die is one of my Stampin’ Up! favorites. The envelopes fit 2 x 2 note cards perfectly. If you enjoy making envelopes use this envelope size guide. This project would make a great gift, you could use the cards and envelopes for gift tags or just to hand to someone. The box is Peach Parfait Card Stock. The envelopes are Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper (Sale-A-Bration). A quick run through the Big Shot using the extended crease pad, a shim and the extended cutting plate and you have all of the main components cut out in no time. The cards were made using the 1 1/4″ Square punch. I stamped the images and sentiment from the Tea Shoppe Stamp Set (Occasions Mini) in Peach Parfait. They are adhered to Soft Suede Card Stock cut to 1 1/2″ square and mounted on a 2 x 2 card. I used the Word Window Punch and some leftover edge from the Stampin’ Dimensionals page to mount the greetings. On the top of the box I stamped another greeting from the Tea Shoppe set and punched that out with the 1 3/8″ Square Punch and backed that with Soft Suede and another piece of Everyday Enchantment DSP (Sale-A-Bration). The set could made with a variety of colors and stamp sets, just use your imagination! I hope that enjoyed today’s project and thanks so much for stopping by. Have a great Tuesday!

Paper Players #85

Good Monday morning to everyone. I hope that you had a nice weekend. Mine was good, just not long enough! I haven’t quite figured out how to make it longer but I’m working on it! Today’s post is for this weeks Paper Players. They asked you to make a Spring themed card…

I decided nothing says spring like a big flower. I also decided to keep my color palate to just two, Very Vanilla and Poppy Parade. The base of the card is Poppy Parade. I ran a piece of Very Vanilla through the Big Shot using the Texturz Plates Backgounds 1 Embossing Plates. I attached a piece of Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper to the bottom and used a piece of Very Vanilla 1/4″ Grosgrain Ribbon to hid the seam. The flower is made using the Build A Blossom Stamp Set and the Blossom Petals Builder Punch. I stamped Poppy Parade Card Stock with Poppy Parade Ink and punched each of the petals out. I used some glue dots to adhere them to 1″ circle underneath. There are two layers and in the middle I stamped Poppy Parade Ink on Very Vanilla and put some Basic Jewels Pearls on it. The greeting is from the Tagtastc (Host(ess)) Stamp Set and is punched out with the Scallop Oval Punch and mounted on Poppy Parade punched out with the Extra Large Oval Punch and put on some Stampin’ Dimensionals. I would say that the card has a very spring feel with the vibrant large red flower. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your day!

PPA 130 & Winston!

Hello and welcome to Saturday! It’s rainy here on Long Island but that doesn’t matter because it’s the weekend! A wonderful friend of mine, Sandy, saw that the inspiration for yesterday’s card was my best friend Winston. Here he is in all of his cuteness…

He really is the best dog ever! He is a Mini Schnauzer and he is awesome! I love my Winnie!

Now on to the days post. This weeks Pals Paper Arts Challenge asks you to use Lucky Limeade, Always Artichoke and a third color of your choice…

For my third color I went with Pool Party. The base of the card is Always Artichoke. I rounded the corners on it and everything else on the card with the 3/16″ Corner Rounder. I used a piece of Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper (Sale-A-Bration) for the background. A piece of Pool Party Card Stock is punched on one side with the Scallop Trim Border Punch. I ran a piece of Soft Suede though the Big Shot using the Texturz Plates Backgrounds 1 Embossing Plates and adhered it to a piece of Very Vanilla. I put one of the 2011 – 2013 In Color Printed Brads in the upper left corner. The image is from the Funky Four Stamp Set and is stamped in Soft Suede. I used one of the butterflies from the Host(ess) Set Precious Butterflies and stamped it in Pool Party. It’s backed with some Lucky Limeade and so is the greeting that is stamped in Soft Suede and is from another Host(ess) Set Perfect Words. I used a Stampin’ Write Marker in Pool Party to color in the dots on the mushrooms and the 11. So there you have this weeks Pals Paper Arts Challenge card. Happy Birthday Dad!

Good morning everyone. It’s Thursday and you know what that means… we are almost there!! Today is my Dad’s birthday. I plan to drop the card off early this morning to him so I figured it was safe to post it before he sees it. I used Tempting Turquoise and my most neglected color, Sahara Sand. I don’t know why I don’t use it more, it goes with a lot of different colors. Anyway, the base of the card is Tempting Turquoise. For the background I ran a piece of Sahara Sand through the Big Shot using the Texturz Plates Backgrounds 1 Harlequin Embossing Plate. The image is from the Set Uncharted Territory and it’s stamped in Temping Turquoise. The happy birthday is from the Party This Way Stamp Set (Sale-A-Bration) and dad is from Family Reunion, both are also stamped in Tempting Turquoise. For a little sparkle I added a Brights Glimmer Brad. It’s a nice masculine simple card for the best dad that anyone could ever hope to have. Happy Birthday Dad!
