Butterfly Hello

Yay for the weekend! Yesterday was nice, I did a few things around the house. My Brother and Erika stopped by my Parent’s with the kids and we all had dinner together. After that Taylor and I ran a few errands and I spoke to my friend Greg for a while. Today I have a lot of things to get done, I will be spending a lot of time in front of the computer and then maybe squeeze in a little crafting! ๐Ÿ˜€

While I was thinking of cards to make yesterday I was looking around the Stampin’ Galley and it’s amazing how much stuff I have accumulated and not used! I’m sure that you know what I mean! LOL! So in an effort to use up some of the excess that I have I used some paper and embellishments to make my card! The base is Ivory 110lb Card Stock. I adhered two pieces of paper from the My Mind’s Eye My Story 6×6 Paper Pad to my card base, the second one with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. Next up is one of the My Mind’s Eye Die Cut Journaling Cards and that is adhered with 3M Foam Tape. The little gold butterfly in the upper left is one of the My Mind’s Eye Chipboard Buttons. I tied a piece of American Crafts Black Twine into a bow before adhering it to the card. My greeting is cut from a piece of American Crafts Gold Glitter Card and two pieces of Black 110lb with the Simon Says Stamp Painted Hello Die. I adhered them to each other with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive and to the card with Multi-Matte Medium. One last thing to finish the card, a few Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins! A pretty simple card to put together and how neat to get to use some of those goodies that have been just sitting there?! I hope that you like today’s card and are inspired to use some of your collections! Thank you for stopping by and have a super Saturday! ๐Ÿ™‚

I See You’re Fantastic!

Happy Friday my peeps! I had a lazy day yesterday, I managed to get a few things done but today I need to get a lot done! The wedding last night was nice! The ceremony was right next to the water. I love when couples write their own vows, makes is so much more personal. It was nice to be with my Parents, brother, Erika, Taylor, her friend and Jim! It looks to be another nice day here today, I need to clean and seal my convertible top, maybe that will be today’s project! ๐Ÿ˜€

I haven’t used a tag on a card in a while so today I have a simple card with just that! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. All of the images and greetings are from the Simon Says Stamp I See You Photopolymer Stamp Set. I used my Mini MISTI to stamp the chevrons in Audrey Blue down the left side of the card. My tag is cut from a piece of Solar White 80lb using the Simon Says Stamp Large Tag Die. The glasses are stamped in Slate and and the ampersand in Audrey Blue, they are both cut out with the Coordinating Dies. I stamped the greetings in Slate onto the tag and tied a piece of American Crafts Grey Natural Twine through the top. It’s adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. The glasses and ampersand are adhered to the tag with 3M Foam Tape and a few Pretty Pink Posh Sea Breeze Sequins finish it off! I love that stamp set with all of it’s eclectic images and fun greetings! I hope that you like today’s card! Thank you for checking in! Have an amazing Friday! ๐Ÿ™‚

Freshly Made Sketches 294

The weather was pleasant again here yesterday and so was the ride into the city on the train! I had a very nice visit with Jon and Mary, Jon had a little bit of a cold so he was nice enough to keep his distance! Before I got on the train to come home I did a little shopping. I have a wedding to go to tonight and needed something to wear! My friend Jen is getting married. I used to change her diapers when she was a baby! Boy I’m old! LOL! Should be a fun way to spend a Thursday evening! ๐Ÿ˜€

The card that I have to share with you today is the one that I made for the wedding! It’s also for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge…

To start the card I stamped some images from the Simon Says Stamp Handwritten Floral Greetings Photopolymer Stamp Set. The flower is stamped onto a piece of Solar White 80lb and the leaves onto some Desert Storm, both in Black. I cut the flower out with my Scissors and adhered it to the Desert Storm panel with 3M Foam Tape. My greeting is from the Simon Says Stamp Hello Beautiful Photopolymer Stamp Set and is also stamped in Black. My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and to that I added a panel of Black 110lb and a strip of Black Glitter Tape. The Desert Storm panel is adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. Just a few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins to give it some shine and the card is done! I really like the flower and leaves in the stamp set and I did try and coordinate the card a little with the invitation! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge! Thank you for coming by today! Have a fun Thursday! ๐Ÿ™‚

SIP Challenge 105 – Summer Fun!

I had a lovely first half of the day in Manhattan yesterday with Isabella! I missed her! We got all caught up and I got to see her new office too! So nice! I took the 3:07 train home and Taylor picked me up at the train station and we spent the rest of the day together. We ran a few errands and had some sushi for dinner. Today I need to get crafty and make some cards for the week! I also need to get all caught up on my blog comments! I’m way behind!! ๐Ÿ˜€

Its Tuesday and time for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper challenge…

My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and I used my Mini Ink Blending Tool to add some Lake Shores Ink to give it some subtle color. Next up is a piece of Solar White 80lb that I added Sunkist to and then cut out with the Hero Arts Infinity Circles Dies. That is adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. My boat and greeting are from the Simon Says Stamp Sail Away Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped both with my Mini MISTI and then cut out the sailboat with the Coordinating Dies and adhered it to the card with 3M Foam Tape. The greeting is adhered to a piece of 65lb Vellum that I used the Simon Says Stamp Border Waves to cut the top of. A piece 3M Foam Tape is hidden behind it to adhere it to the card. Just a few Pretty Pink Posh Sea Breeze and Sparkling Clear Sequins complete the card! I love using my inks to make card stock the exact color that I want, so much fun! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! Don’t forget to check out the rest of the Team’s cards over on the BLOG! We hope to see your card in the gallery! Thank you for visiting! Have a terrific Tuesday! ๐Ÿ™‚

SIP Challenge 104 – Colors!

It started out as a beautiful sunny day but around 5:00 the heavens opened and we had rain for the rest of the evening. I did get a little crafting done in the morning and then ran a few errands in the convertible! I also helped Jim with some computer stuff remotely in the evening and Taylor came by to spend some time with me. Later on we ran to BJ’s with Heather so she could use her coupons before they expired! She is too funny! I’m going to have breakfast with Heather this morning and then over to Sue’s for a little bit to work on some Etsy stuff! ๐Ÿ˜€

Now it’s time for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge

A nice bright cheery group of colors, wouldn’t you say?! I’m still keeping it simple! To start my card is used my MISTI to stamp the solid part of the “feathers” from the Simon Says Stamp One With Nature Photopolymer Stamp Set in High Dive, Goldenlocks and Hot Mama ink. After they had dried I stamped the outlines in Versa-Mark and heat embossed them with Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder. They are cut out with the Coordinating Dies and adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My greeting is from the same set and is stamped in Hot Mama in the lower right corner. A few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear and Gold Sequins finish the card! I know that the “feathers” are trees but I think they work pretty well! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink. Paper Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and lets see yours in the gallery! I thank you for stopping by! Have a terrific Tuesday! ๐Ÿ™‚

Paper Players 348

What can I say about my Sunday… well, for starters this was pretty much my view for the day…

That was at 7:30am but you can see that it was a perfect day! They had the Long Beach LGBT Pride on the Beach weekend and Jim had to be there for work so I spent the day with him on the boardwalk. I got to see a lot of people from FREE where I used to work and also got to meet a few people from Jim’s work and they were awesome peeps! I sometimes forget that I live on an island with pretty nice beaches! We were there until 6:00. After we packed up the car we stopped and got some dinner and went back to Jim’s to eat. The perfect end to a wonderful, amazing weekend! ๐Ÿ˜€

To start off the week I have my card for this week’s Paper Players challenge…

Once again I just wanted to stamp! I created a card base out of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and masked off a section near the top. In that section I stamped the balloons from the Simon Says Stamp Birthday Bits Photopolymer Stamp Set and outlines in Slate, Catkin, Lake Shores and Duckling. After I removed the masks I added a strip of Black 110lb Card Stock to the top and bottom of the stamped area. Just one thing left, I stamped the greeting in Slate and finished! Super simple and extremely mailable! Win-win! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Paper Players Challenge! Thank you for once again starting your week off with me! Have an extremely excellent Monday! ๐Ÿ™‚

Fab Friday 114

Happy Friday my peeps! My Thursday was good! I cleaned my apartment and ran a few errands. Jim came by around 5:00 and we went to grab a quick bite and then saw Wonder Woman. Pretty good flick! We got back to my houseย around 9:30 and Jim headed home and I went over for the last half of Thirsty Thursday. We had to run to the Vape Shop so that Steph could get some refills and we saw Taylor and her friends there. They were going to a local bar so we met them there for a bit and then called it a night. Who knows what today will bring, but it’s supposed to be nice weather, that’s always good! ๐Ÿ˜€

It’s a Fab Friday week and this time around we have some colors for you to work with…

I don’t have any of the new Stampin’ Up! colors so I improvised! All of my images and greeting are from the Simon Says Stamp Lovely Spring Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped them inย Black, Teal, Catkin, Rosieย Cheeks and Hot Mama onto a piece of Solar White 80lb Card Stock. The panel is then adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Lemon Drop and Orchid Sequins to the flower centers and the card is finished! Super simple and I do really just like to stamp some images, that way you get to use all of that colored ink that you have! I hope that you like my Design Team card for the Fab Friday Color Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and we hope to see yours in the gallery! Thank you for stopping by this morning, I’ll be back at 11:00am with my post for this month’s Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th post! Hope you’ll come back! Until then enjoy your morning! ๐Ÿ™‚

Farewell Mojo Monday

A very happy Monday to you all! I had such a great weekend! Yesterday morning I went to Target and picked up eightย chairs for Jim, you would be surprised what you can fit in a convertible with the top down, it’s like a little pickup truck! LOL! We unloaded them and set them up on the patio and then got a bunch of other projects finished. He made a late breakfast of omelets, they were delicious. We took a ride to HomeGoods and he got a really nice rug for his den. For dinner he made Chicken Marsala that was amazing. A little TV and then I came home to see Taylor for a bit. He gave me some of the leftover Chicken Marsala which Taylor absconded with! I’ll be getting some crafty things done this morning, I believe that it’s supposed to rain today, good day for that! ๐Ÿ˜€

It is with great sadness that I share with you my last card for the Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge. I can remember how excited I was when I found out that I was on the Design Team! It has been so much fun playing along each week with the rest of the Team. They are some of the nicest crafty peeps you could ever hope to know! And Julee is such a kind, sweet and talented person, I’m really going to miss her amazing sketches! But this is sketch 500 so I would say we have had a pretty good run!

I started my card off with a base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The background is two pieces of paper from the Jen Hadfield DIY Home 6×6 Paper Pad. I added two strips of Heidi Swapp Glitter Washi Tape across the lower half of the card. The two vertical pieces of paper are Blushing Bride and Pool Party. My greeting is actually a Reverse Confetti Promo Stamp that Jennifer DelMuro sent to me for a card class that I had a while back. I heat embossed it in Simon Says Stamp Rose Gold Embossing Powder onto a piece of Smoky Slate and adhered it to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. A fitting card to the end of an amazing challenge! I really hope that you enjoyed my final card for the Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge! Please head over to the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and share yours with us one last time! Thank you so much for sharing in my weekend and starting another week off with me! Freshly Made Sketches 290

I had a wonderful Friday! It was Sunny and really nice all day! I went over to Heather’s in the morning and she made me breakfast! I worked on some things while she did her work. Around 1:30 I headed home and had a little lunch and then I did a little cleaning. Jim came by around 5:00 and we went out to dinner and then watched a movie. I’ll be seeing him later on today for the walk! This morning I’m off to Wading River to perform a wedding! Bet you didn’t know that I was Justin-of-the-Peace?! ๐Ÿ˜€

I have a fun simple card to share with you today for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches

My card starts off with a base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I covered the front with a piece of Smoke Gray. Across the top is a piece of Soft Navy, I heat embossed the images and greeting from the Simon Says Stamp Seeing Stars Photopolymer Stamp Set in WOW! Rich Pale Gold Embossing Powder. Under that is a piece of Slate Gray that I cut with the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Ovals Dies. The die that I used to cut the flag I can’t for the life of me remember what it’s called, it’s from Simon Says Stamp and I heat embossed one more star on it. Finally, just a few Rhinestones scattered among the stars completes the card. I really am quite fond of that stamp set, love the clusters of stars! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches Challenge! Thank you for coming by today! Enjoy your Saturday! ๐Ÿ™‚

Paper Players 346

It was another day that started out gloomy and turned bright and sunny by the afternoon! I got lots accomplished too, made a few cards, made a bunch of thank you cards for a friend, ran to the Post Office and had dinner with my Parents. We did another Wine Wednesday this week. Heather, Steph and I were joined by Taylor for a little while. Always love to get see the child! This morning I have a lot of planning to do, staying focused is the key! LOL!

One of my cards that I made yesterday is for this week’s Paper Players challenge…

I played with some more of my Simon Stamps! To create my background I used the Simon Says Stamp Waves Stencil along with my Stencil Brush and some Lake Shores Ink. The corners are rounded with my Corner Chomper and the panel is adhered to a Black panel that is then adhered to my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I die cut the Echo Park Picture Wheel Die from more Black and adhered it to the card with 3M Foam Tape. The feathers, leaves and greeting are from the Simon Says Stamp Oh Happy Day Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the feathers in Teeny Bikini, the leaves in Jellybean and the greeting in Scuba. I used the Coordinating Happy Day Dies to cut them out. The leaves and feathers are adhered to each other, a piece of Hemptique Black Natural Hemp Twine is tied into a bow around the bottom and they are adhered to the picture wheel with E-Z Runner. For the greeting I used some more 3M Foam Tape. Just a few Recollections Enamel Dots complete the card! I still have a soft spot for some feathers and I love that picture wheel! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Paper Players Sketch Challenge! Thanks so much for visiting today! Have an amazing Thursday! ๐Ÿ™‚
