Paper Craft Crew 246

Happy mid-week already! It was another overcast day here. It didn’t rain until much later in the day but it was cloudy all day. I did a little crafting in the morning and then ran over to Sue’s to drop off some things. I went out to lunch with her and Michael, we had Panera, it’s been forever since I’ve had that! After I got home I watched a little TV and then ran a few errands. This morning I’m going to get crafty again and get some more projects out of the way! 😀

Just as an FYI I’m taking part in the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life this Saturday. I’m part of Meg’s team. My Brother lost his first wife to cancer, she was 29, and I lost one of my best friends, he was 25. We have all had cancer touch our lives in some way. Let’s help put an end to this terrible disease. If you can please click HERE to donate. Thank you!

Today I have my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge to share with you…

My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I adhered a piece of paper from the Recollections Valentine’s Day 6×6 Paper Pad to the base for my background. Across the lower half is a piece of Pink Pirouette that I cut out with the Simon Says Stamp XOXO Border Die. My heart is cut from a piece of Gold Mirror Card and two pieces of Solar White 110lb using the Simon Says Stamp Scribble Heart Die. I adhered them together and to the card with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. The greeting is from the Simon Says Stamp Birthday Flowers Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Schoolhouse Red and adhered to the card with 3M Foam Tape. Three Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins complete the card! Hearts and XOXO’s aren’t just for Valentine’s Day, they work great for a Birthday too! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Take a minute to check out the rest of the Team’s cards over on the BLOG and let’s see yours in the gallery! Thank you so much for coming by today! Have a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂

City on My Mind

Well what started out as a sunny morning yielded to clouds for the rest of the day. I did begin my day with some bagels with Heather and Stephanie which was nice. After that I came home and worked on some crafty projects and cleaned a little. The evening was spent on the couch with the TV and Taylor stopped by for a bit before I called it a night. More crafty things to work on today! Fun! 😀

We are continuing on with Simple Sunday! This card is super simple to make and would work with pretty much any cityscape dies that you have! I used the Poppy Stamps Downtown Urban Landscape Dies to cut the top part of a piece of Basic Gray. My greeting is from the Simon Says Stamp Flowers on My Mind Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in White Embossing Powder onto the bottom right of the buildings. I used a combo of E-Z Runner and Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive to adhered the buildings to the card along with three separate gold buildings that I cut from Gold Mirror Card using the companion Poppy Stamps Downtown Skyscrapers Dies. Some Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins complete the card! Like I said, super simple but I think it’s pretty neat! I hope that you enjoyed today’s Simple Sunday card! Thank you so much for visiting! Have a simple and fun Sunday! 🙂

Paper Craft Crew 245

Hello peeps! Well, we got a little reprieve from the rain yesterday but it’s supposed to be back today. I picked up Heather at the Car Wash at 8:00, dropped her off and then took her back around 12:00. From there I went over to Sue’s to see her and Michael. I helped Michael with his new MacBook Air, it’s about time! LOL! We had a nice visit! From there I stopped at Target on the way home, had a little dinner with my Parents, spoke to Jim for a while and watched a little TV before calling it a night. Today, more crafty things to do and organizing! 😀

It’s Wednesday so it’s time for this week’s Paper Craft Crew challenge…

In my cleaning I have found so many things that I haven’t gotten to use! To change it up my card base is Black 110lb. For my background I heat embossed the stars from the Simon Says Stamp Seeing Stars Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder onto a piece of Fog Card Stock. The top half is a piece of paper from the Crate Paper Kiss Kiss 6×6 Paper Pad. Across the middle is a strip of Gold Mirror Card. Before I adhered the panel to the card base I tied a piece of Hemptique Black Hemp Twine in a bow. I die cut the Simon Says Stamp Congratulations Die form a piece of Gold Mirror Card and two pieces of Black 110lb. They are adhered to each other and to the card with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. I added a few stars from the Little Things by Lucy Brushed Gold Sequins Mix and some Rhinestones for a little more sparkle! I still love that Congratulations Die, one of my faves! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thanks for visiting with me today! Have a wicked Wednesday! 🙂

Typed Crossword Hello

I had a busy day yesterday! There was the Run for the Warriors that closed some of the roads on the way to the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store so it took a little longer to get there, all for a good reason! Renee had a guest instructor, Eileen Hull, at the Store yesterday. She was great and had some awesome projects! I had to leave at 12:00 to go home and pick up Taylor, run a few errands and then head over to my Brother’s for Daniel’s 3rd Birthday! He was so cute playing with his cousins and friends! Here is a picture of the birthday boy…

daniel-3rd-birthday

I had to be home by 6:00 to meet Andrew who is helping me with some Store related things. We worked until 12:30 and still have more to go! He is so good at figuring things out and getting stuff done! It’s also easy to be motivated when there is someone else working with you! We have a lot more to do but it feels a bit more manageable! Plus, it’s nice to get to spend some time with him! 😀

So, remember that collage card that I made a week or so ago that I wasn’t thrilled with? Well, I have decided to share it today! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb. I used a piece of Authentique Mighty Collection 12×12 Paper for my background. A piece of Black 110lb is cut out with the Spellbinders Typewriter Shapeablities Die. For the paper in the typewrite I printed a vintage subway map out and adhered it inside a piece of Basic Gray that I cut out with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangle Frames Lawn Cuts. I slid it into the top of the typewriter, it fit perfectly, and then adhered it to the card with 3D Foam Squares. My feathers are cut from another piece of the Mighty 12×12 Paper and some Gold Mirror Card using the Spellbinders Feathers Shapeablities Dies. I cut out a piece of Blushing Bride and more Gold Mirror Card using the dies from the Spellbinders Die of the Month #7 Set. All of the pieces are adhered with E-Z Runner and 3D Foam Squares. My greeting is the Simon Says Stamp Painted Hello Die cut from a piece of Black 110lb and Blushing Bride. I adhered them to each other, slightly offset, with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive and then to the card with more 3D Foam Squares. There had to be some sequins, Pretty Pink Posh Gold and Blush to be exact and a Black Enamel Dot placed in the middle of the flower. In the end I grew to like the card! LOL! I hope that you like it too! Thank you for stopping by today! Have a simple Sunday! 🙂

Mojo Monday 469

I hope that your weekend was as nice as mine! Yesterday morning Heather and I went to the Deli and had flagels for breakfast before heading over to Valley Stream to pick up her brother. The traffic wasn’t too bad heading into Manhattan but once we got in boy was there a lot! It didn’t take us too long to get to the Javits Center and drop off Russell at Comic-Con. But it took us an hour to get from the Javits Center over to 72nd and Lexington. I got to Jim and Diane’s at 11:00 and Heather had to head back to Valley Stream to stay with her grandmother because they had to take her Dad to the Hospital again. I had a nice visit with Jim and Diane and I got to meet their Daughter Wendy and her daughter too! Around 1:00 I was going to head back to Penn Station when Kim called me and asked if I wanted to meet her for lunch, of course I did! We went to 5 Napkins Burgers and boy were they delicious! The fries were excellent too! After lunch we took a walk over to the Nespresso Store on Madison seeing as the rain finally stopped. We tried a few different kinds of espresso and I bought a few sleeves of pods to take home. I left Kim at 60th and Lexington to get the N back to Penn which took forever to come. Once I got to Penn I had to figure out how I was going to go to get home. There was a derailment on the Ronkonkoma line, the one I usually take, so I had to take a train to Massapequa and have my Parents come and get me. I saw Taylor for a little while when I got home, her mouth is feeling much better. I straightened up a little and made a plan of attack to get the rest of the house cleaned up before calling it a night. Back to the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store this morning, I have a bunch of projects to finish!

Monday so it’s time for another Mojo Monday sketch challenge…

mojo469

Today’s card starts off with a base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock, the front is covered in a piece of Herb Garden. I used the Concord & 9th with Simon Says Stamp Cozy Christmas Photopolymer Stamp Set for all of my images and greeting. The outline image is stamped in Altenew Dark Chocolate Ink onto a piece of Kraft to create my background. Next up is a piece of 48lb Vellum that I cut out with the Lawn Fawn Dotted Circle Stackables Lawn Cuts. A panel and a strip with the end flagged of Dark Molasses is added next. My greeting from the set is heat embossed in Hero Arts Copper Embossing Powder onto more Herb Garden and adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. I stamped the pinecones twice using my Mini MISTI and more Dark Chocolate Ink to get the layers perfectly aligned. They are cut out with the Coordinating Die. One is adhered to the top after being trimmed and the other next to the greeting, both with 3D Foam Squares. I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Mossy Green and Rose Gold Sequins to complete the card. I love the way that you can get a nice layered look with just the one ink color and the set is definitely a favorite of mine! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG for more inspiration and add your card to the gallery! Thanks, as always, for starting your week off with me! Have an amazing Monday! 🙂

Mojo Monday 455 & MMH Sneak Peek 4!

MMH_Logo_TB

Happy 4th of July to my American friends! I hope that you all have some fun stuff planned for today! I’ll be heading over to Brian & Kim’s for a BBQ later on. Yesterday was another lovely day here! I got up late and went to get Heather so we could take a ride to The Apple Store. Her iPhone has been acting up so she wanted to get it checked out. They suggested… yes… a restore! I could have told her that! LOL! From there we went over to see Kim and the kiddies for a bit and enjoyed some pizza for lunch! I had said that I wanted to run into Manhattan quickly to pick something up from Isabella so Heather and I hopped in the Convertible and made our way in. The traffic was pretty light going in and we found a parking space on the street. I got to say hello to Diego who was there enjoying his sports on TV! He just got back from a bike trip in the Pyrenees! How cool is that?! The traffic on the way home was a little heavier but not too bad. I dropped Heather back off at George’s and then came home and got some of my cleaning started. There is a lot more to do but I did make a little dent! Phew! That was a busy day!

It’s always best to start off the week with a new Mojo Monday sketch, don’t you agree…

Mojo455

This is also day 4 of my sneak peeks of the July My Monthly Hero Kit! I decided that I needed to use the jellyfish again. I just think that they are such pretty ethereal creatures! To start my card I used a piece of the Metallic Teal Card Stock that comes in the Kit, cut it to 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 and used a stitched Rectangle to cut out my window. I put that on a piece of Neenah Solar White 80lb and traced so I would know just where to stamp the jellyfish. He is stamped in Hero Arts Tide Pool for the first layer and heat embossed in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder for the second. I added some Foam Tape to the back of my Teal piece, sprinkled in some of the Little Things by Lucy Exclusive Sequins Mix included in the Kit and then added my back panel to create my shaker. In the upper right is a piece of Gold Mirror Card that I used a stitched circle to cut out and in the lower right is a piece of Desert Storm 80lb, heat embossed with the Hero Arts Designer Woodgrain Background Stamp and some Hero Arts Clear Embossing Powder. The greeting is from the main stamp set in the kit also and is heat embossed in more Gold onto some Black 110lb. All of the pieces are adhered to the shaker and then that is attached to a base of Solar White 110lb to finish the card! I do really love that jellyfish and I think that he looks quite neat with his little shaker bits! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge! Head on over to the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! That is also my 4th sneak peek of the My Monthly Hero Kit! Come back tomorrow for still more peeks! I wish you all the most marvelous Monday ever! 🙂

Fab Friday 88

Hi all and a happy Friday to you!! Another amazing day weather wise here yesterday! Another top down to and from work day! The store was quiet yesterday but Renee and I got a lot accomplished. I started my cards for next month’s class and Renee got organized! Taylor and Kiera stopped by, she brought my Copics up because I forgot them at home and they stayed until the store closed. I had dinner at my parent’s and got to see my brother and Daniel! He has such a great laugh! You can’t help but smile when you hear him start giggling! After dinner I came home and made my card for today and then ran out to Target to pick up a few things. Thankfully there are open until midnight! I also got to chat with Heather, she is back at school so there will be no thirsty Thursday’s for a while, bummer! She’s going to try and come by the store for lunch tomorrow, that will be fun!

Well, it’s a Fab Friday this week so I’m over on the blog for our color challenge…

Fab Fri 88 5-27-2016

I needed to make a quick card, going forward I’m going to make an attempt to work on Design Team stuff ahead but it’s taking a while to get acclimated! I had the base of this card sitting on my desk for about three months so I decided that it was high time I finished it! Speaking of the base it’s Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the Simon Says Stamp Thanks Scallop Border Die to cut the bottom of a piece of Solar White 80lb that I inked with Simon Says Stamp High Dive using my Mini Ink Blending Tool. It’s adhered to the card with E-Z Runner. The thanks is cut from Black 110lb and inlaid back into the die with Multi-Matte Medium. My tree branches are cut from Chocolate Chip with the Memory Box Branching Out Die. I adhered them onto the card with more Multi-Matte Medium. The flowers are punched out from Blackberry Bliss and Hello Honey using an old EK Tools Mini Flower Punch and I adhered them to the branches with Mini Glue Dots. Finally I added Pearls to the middles of all of the flowers with Bling Glue Dots and the card is finished! Nice and simple and I love when I get to find a use for something that has been siting on my desk for a while! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for the Fab Friday Color Challenge! Go and check out the rest of the Team’s cards over on the BLOG and enter your card in the gallery! Thanks for coming by today! Have a fun-tabulous Friday! 🙂

Paper Craft Crew 196

Another fun day at Stamp, Ink, Paper! Renee got a new line of paper in that moved like hotcakes! My second half of my Lawn Fawn order arrived, I entered it in the system, priced it and put it out. I got in touch with the customers that wanted it and they came in throughout the day to pick it up. Renee and I bounce ideas off of each other all day and she called me after she left with a really good one!! Can’t wait to share it with you! When I got home I had dinner, mum made chili! One of my favorites! My friend Sue stopped by and we chatted for a while and I subjected her to my latest YouTube obsessions! After she left I sat down and made my card, it was going to be a quick card… ummm… not really! Does that happen to you? You set out to make a simple card and end up using half of the supplies that you have?! LOL!

Today I’m over on the Paper Craft Crew blog for this week’s sketch challenge…

PCCCS196 DT Sketch 5-25-2016

When I saw the sketch I remembered that I had a butterfly die that I had picked up a while ago on one of my trips with Sue and Michael to a craft show. About time I used it! The card base today is Ivory 110lb Card Stock. I splattered some Heidi Swapp Tinsel Color Shine on the front and worked on the rest of the card while that dried. A piece of Gold Mirror Card (yes, again! LOL!) is cut out with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Squares Lawn Cuts and adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. My butterfly is a two piece die from Paper Artist. I cut the back out from a piece of 36lb Vellum and the top from a piece of Basic Gray. A tiny piece of Scor-Tape holds the two together and also adhered it to the Mirror Card. Another piece of Mirror Card is cut out with the Simon Says Stamp Loopy Circles Craft Die and adhered to the butterfly with Multi-Matte Medium. The greeting is from the Hero Arts Many Everyday Messages Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Ranger Liquid Platinum Embossing Powder onto a piece of 48lb Vellum. I used the Lawn Fawn Everyday Sentiment Banners to cut it out and used a piece of Kool-Tac Clear Foam Tape to adhere it to the card. Yes, I’m obsessed with that Mirror Card, but you have to admit it does look pretty cool! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge! Stop by the blog and tale a peek at the rest of the Team’s projects and enter yours in the gallery! Thank you for taking a little time out of your day to visit with me! Have a happy Wednesday! 🙂

Heart & Feathers Be Happy

I’m not gonna lie, I’m a little tired! I guess not working full time for 6 months and then going back full time plus will do that to you! LOL! It’s all good though, I’m loving being at the store and keeping everything organized! Yesterday there was a crop so the store was full! I love getting to sit there and chat with everyone! Angie and I ran an errand to the Dollar Store and then I went out and got us Wendy’s for lunch. It was a busy day and I really did have a good time! I spoke to Michael on my way home and then had Chinese for dinner with my parent’s. Taylor stopped by with Kiera and the had the cutest baby kitten with them. She is a stray and Taylor wanted me to keep her at my house but she wasn’t very fond of Winston! If they can’t find a good home I guess I’ll have to give in! Heather called around 9:45 so I ran over to her house for a glass of wine an some catch up! I’ll be back over at the store for a little while today and then I must do some laundry, almost completely out of clothes! How is your weekend?

When I did finally get home and settled I made my card for today. The card base is Ivory 110lb Card Stock. I used the Simon Says Stamp Circle Loops Craft Die to cut out two pieces of Gold Mirror Card. My feathers are cut from more Ivory 110lb with some cool postage themed Washi Tape adhered to it. I used the Simon Says Stamp Pointed Feathers Dies to cut them out. For the Heart I used Red Felt and the Simon Says Stamp Combined Hearts Dies. My greeting consists of a Black 110lb Be cut from the Simon Says Stamp Be Craft Die and the happy heat embossed onto more Black 110lb with Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder. All of the pieces are adhered to the card with Elmer’s Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive except the happy which is adhered with Foam Tape. I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Gold, Cobalt and Raspberry Sequins to compete the card! Oh how I have missed feathers and I do love them cut from the Washi Tape! I hope that you enjoyed my card for today! Thank you for coming by! I wish you all a very happy Sunday! 🙂

OSAT Blog Hop – May Flowers!

OSAT Blog Hop Banner

I had a busy day yesterday! I had to run out to Riverhead to get some documents, it’s an hour from me and thankfully Sue came along for the ride! We were in and out so that was good. The weather was absolutely gorgeous here too! Nice bright sun and temps in the 70’s! We stopped and looked at few things at a store and then had some Sonic for lunch! When we got back to my house Sue took a bunch of stuff home to work on for me and then I went over to see my parents and little Daniel. He has a cold that he got from his cousin! Those little ones do like to pass around the germs don’t they?! I stopped back at my house and then headed over to Scrap-A-Latte to watch the store for Renee while she went and spent some time with her grandkids! I got to FaceTime with Andrea for a bit and I worked on some stuff while I was there. Today I’m going to meet Bill for lunch and then get a bunch more stuff done. Hopefully it will be nice again! I did enjoy my time in the convertible yesterday!

For my projects today I’m participating in a blog hop with a bunch of my friends from one of the Facebook groups that I belong to. It’s called One Stamp at a Time Cards and More. If you have arrived here after seeing Megan’s fabulous projects, welcome! This month we have a May flowers theme! More flowers! LOL! I have been on a flower kick lately, thankfully I have some new ones for you today!

First up is a card that uses some Altenew goodies! The card base is Neenah Solar White cut to 4″ wide with the front covered with a piece of Black 110lb. My flowers are from the Altenew Painted Flowers Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped them in Hero Arts Bubblegum and Raspberry Jam Ink for the flowers and Simon Says Stamp Jellybean and Green Apple Ink for the leaves. The outlines of all of them are stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black. I used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out and arranged them on my card. Some Press ‘n Seal is used to pick them up. I added some Foam Tape and Tombo Mono Adhesive to the back and then pressed them to my card and peeled off the Press ‘n Seal. The little black and white leaves are tucked in and adhered with Multi-Matte Medium. You can see how nice and easy it is here…

I stamped the butterfly from the Altenew Painted Butterflies Photopolymer Stamp Set in Bubblegum and Raspberry Jam and used the Coordinating Dies to cut him out too. Some more Foam Tape holds him in place. My greeting is from the Altenew Label Love Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder onto a piece of Black 110lb and adhered to the card with Foam Tape. I love the loose artsy feel of the flowers and butterfly and I think they really pop against the black!

OSAT April Blog Hop - Card-WM

Next up is a fun tag! I painted a Wooden Tag with some Black Acrylic Paint while it dried I heat embossed a Wood Rose with Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder. My greeting is heat embossed in more Gold and is from the Hero Arts Many Everyday Messages Photopolymer Stamp Set. I adhered the rose to the tag with Multi-Matte Medium and then tied a piece of American Crafts Pink Twine though the top! I think the tag would make a very nice package decoration and then whoever you give it to can keep it and use as for a little home decor!
