Primrose Crumb Pool Preserved Thanks Sneak Peek

Good morning peeps! Welcome to one of my favorite days of the week, Wednesday. It’s a great day because it means we are halfway through the week. I’m getting excited because I am going up to Vermont for a few days to visit some friends. It will be nice to get away for a bit but I will be taking some crafting stuff with me so I don’t go through withdrawal! Today’s card is another sneak peek at a new Stamp Set from the 2012 Holiday Catalog. I also CASE’d some of it from a sample in the catalog. The base of the card is Pool Party Card Stock. I embossed a piece of Crumb Cake with the Houndstooth Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. The stamped images are all from the Perfectly Preserved Stamp Set*. The jar is stamped in Pool Party, the stems are stamped in Lucky Limeade, the flower on the right is stamped in Primrose Petals and the one on the left is stamped in More Mustard and cut out with the new Cannery Framelits Dies*. I used a 3/16″ Metallic Brad in the middle and mounted it to the card with a Stampin’ Dimensional. I backed the Whisper White Stamped piece with some more Pool Party and adhered the whole thing to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals too. The greeting is stamped in Primrose Petals and punched out with the Small Oval Punch. I really like the simplicity of this card and I am loving the Perfectly Preserved Stamp Set* and coordinating Cannery Framelits Dies*. Mojo 249 and Sneak Peek

Good morning everyone! I hope that you all had a bearable Monday. My day was good, truth be told I am always looking forward to the weekend as I’m sure so many of us are!

Today’s post is for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge. This week’s sketch is provided by Carole Burrage…

I like the skewed middle piece to this sketch. I have to say that I had a harder time skewing the middle than I usually do putting it on straight! The base of my card is Rich Razzleberry Card Stock. For the background I used some International Bazaar Designer Series Paper and the the Fancy Fan Textured Impressions Embossing Folder on the pieces of Pacific Point Card Stock. Across the middle is a piece of Chocolate Chip that I use the Adorning Accents Edgelits Dies to cut the one side. The white piece is stamped in Rich Razzleberry with an image from the new Make a Mitten Stamp Set* from the 2012 Holiday Catalog. There are four stamps in the set that you can use for a border. The main images are from the Flock Together Stamp Set and are stamped in Chocolate Chip and Pacific Point. I mounted it to a piece of Daffodil Delight Card Stock and it is mounted to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The greeting is from the Made for You Stamp Set and is stamped in Tangerine Tango. I used my Paper Snips to flag the one and and mounted it to a piece of Tangerine Tango Card Stock. For the perfect finishing touch I added 3 Basic Jewels Rhinestones to the bottom right corner. I love the International Bazaar DSP because it has so many different colors in it and gives you a lot more options. I hope that you enjoyed this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge card. Paper Player #103 and Sneak Peek

Hello everyone and welcome to Monday. I had a very nice weekend and got most of what I wanted to get accomplished done. There is always something that I don’t get to but there’s always tomorrow! I hope that you all had a nice weekend and the heat is finally supposed to break today which is welcome after the scorcher of a weekend that we had here on Long Island.

Today’s card is for this weeks Paper Players Challenge. This week we have a color challenge from Anne Marie…

I thought about doing a nice summer themed card but I really wanted to use some new stuff so I did a Christmas card. I like to think of it as my Christmas in Florida card! The base of the card is Calypso Coral Card Stock. The center panel is embossed with the new Holiday Frame Textured Impressions Embossing Folder* in Daffodil Delight. The top and the bottom have a piece of Lucky Limeade that I used the Finishing Touches Edgelits Dies on and then adhered to the back before I mounted it to the card. The images in the middle are from the new Joyous Celebrations Stamp Set* that coordinates nicely with the embossing folder. I stamped the oval image in Lucky Limeade and punched it out with the Extra Large Oval Punch. I stamped the joy in Calypso Coral and cut it out with my Paper Snips along with the bow at the top. They are all mounted to each other and the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The four ornament images in the corners are from the new Merry Minis Stamp Set* and are stamped in Lucky Limeade and punched out with the new coordinating Merry Minis Punch Pack*. They too are mounted to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I added a small Basic Jewels Pearl to the center of each of the ornaments and the center of the bow. It’s definitely a different color combination for a holiday card but if I lived someplace warm I would think that it would be fitting! PPA 138 and Sneak Peek

A good Sunday morning to you all. How did everyone fare in yesterday’s heat? I went out for a little while and felt like my skin was melting but most of the day I spent inside crafting in the A/C. I didn’t get as much done as I wanted to but I had a few creative bursts. My post is a little late this morning because I went for an 11 mile bike ride with the wonderful Stamp with Sandy. It may have been a little ambitious for my first time out this year but I actually feel pretty good! Thanks Sandy!

Today’s post is for the bi monthly Pals Paper Arts Challenge. This time we have a color challenge…

The nice fall colors did help make me feel a little cooler yesterday! I have another sneak peek for you today from the 2012 Holiday Catalog that you will be able to order from starting August 1st. The base of my card is Daffodil Delight Card Stock and I added a piece of Cherry Cobbler on top of the front. The Early Espresso is embossed with the Chevron Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. I adhered a piece of Daffodil Delight Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon to the bottom with some Sticky Strip on the back before I adhered it to the Cherry Cobbler piece with SNAIL. All of the stamped images including the greeting are from the new Perfectly Preserved Stamp Set* in the Holiday Catalog. I stamped the jar in Early Espresso and the lid in Daffodil Delight. The apples are stamped in Cherry Cobbler and the leaves are stamped in Gumball Green. The flowers are also stamped in Daffodil Delight and all of the images are cut out with the Cannery Framelits Dies* also new in the Holiday Catalog. I love when stamps have matching Framelits, it makes cutting them out so easy and the stamp set and the Framelits are available as a bundle for a 10% savings! I tied a piece of Whisper White Bakers Twine around the lid before I attached it to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Everything else is also attached with Stampin’ Dimensionals except for the jar which is adhered with SNAIL. The greeting and the piece of Cherry Cobbler behind it are cut out with the Bitty Banners Framelits Dies. I added two Brights Collection 3/8″ Brads to the centers of the flowers for a little added detail. I love the new Perfectly Preserved Stamp Set* and Cannery Framelits Dies*! CCMC 209 and Sneak Peek

A good Saturday morning to you all! It’s supposed to be a scorcher here on Long Island today and from what I saw the rest of the country too. On days like today I like to stay inside in the A/C and craft! What better way to spend the day than being cool and creative?! 🙂

Today’s post is for this weeks Create with Connie and Mary Challenge. This week they have provided us with this nice sketch…

I am a big fan of anything that is flagged so I love this! I also finished mounting my stamps from the new Holiday Catalog and couldn’t wait to use one set in particular. I love the Affection Collection* Stamp Set. It has a great whimsical tattooed feel to it. The base of my card is Basic Gray Card Stock. I embossed a piece of Real Red Card Stock with the new Lacy Brocade Textured Impressions Embossing Folder*. I took a piece of Pool Party and Basic Gray and flagged the ends. I used the Essentials Paper-Piercing Pack and the Paper-Piercing Tool on the sides of both and adhered them to the card with SNAIL. I stamped one of the images from the Affection Collection* Stamp Set in Basic Gray on Vellum Card Stock and adhered a piece of Pool Party 3/8″ Ruffled Ribbon to it with Sticky Strip. All of the other images are also from the Affection Collection* Stamp Set. The scalloped background piece is stamped in Pool Party, the flagged #1 is stamped in Real Red and the heart with wings are stamped in Basic Gray and Real Red. I cut all of the elements out with my Paper Snips and used some Stampin’ Dimensionals to hold them together. A small piece of Real Red 1/8″ Taffeta Ribbon completes the collage. The greeting, also from the same set, is stamped in Real Red and cut out with my Paper Snips too and mounted to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I’m in love with this Stamp Set and can’t wait to play with it some more. I can’t wait for you to get your copy of the new Holiday Catalog and start making your lists! Happy B’day Nicole and Sneak Peek

Happy Friday everyone! Yeah! We made it through another week! I got some happy news yesterday, I was a pick of the Week over at Create with Connie and Mary! You can see the original post here and visit their blog here. I’m a big fan of their new badge, it has some of my favorite new stuff from the new Stampin’ Up! Catalog which you can order from today at 2:00PM EST!! Today’s card is a birthday card for a friend of mine at work, Nicole. She is funny and quirky and a very nice person. I started off with a base of Soft Suede Card Stock. I ran a piece of Gumball Green* Card Stock through my Big Shot using the Vintage Wallpaper Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. The stamped frame, butterfly and rose are from the Papaya Collage Stamp Set**. The frame is stamped in Soft Suede, the butterfly in Primrose Petals* and I markered the rose with Primrose Petals* and Gumball Green* Stampin’ Write Markers.The greeting is from the Perfectly Penned Stamp Set and is also stamped in Primrose Petals* and adhered to the background which is from the Comfort Café Designer Series Paper**. All of the stamped items are adhered with Stampin Dimensionals. For the body of the butterfly I used two Basic Jewels Pearls. Nicole loved her card and I hope that you enjoyed it too. Betsy’s Elements Suede Party Box and Sneak Peek

Good Thursday Morning to all of my blog peeps! I hope that you are all having a good week. Now that it’s almost over mine is getting much better. Today I decided that it was time that I did some kind of 3D project. I love 3D projects and this one isn’t all that complicated. I started with two pieces of 5″ Pool Party Card Stock and used my Simply Scored to score it on all four sides at 1/2″ and 1″. Then I cut off the the outer rectangles and put a slit between the rest of them making four tabs. Some folding and Sticky Strip and the box is all done. I stamped a piece of Whisper White Card Stock with the flower burst image from the Betsy’s Blossoms Stamp Set** in Pool Party and punched it out with the 2 1/2″ Circle Punch. Then I stamped a pice of Soft Suede Card Stock with the script image from the French Foliage Stamp Set in Soft Suede and punched that out with the Scallop Oval Punch. I took a piece of Pool Party 3/8″ Ruffled Ribbon and placed it behind the oval and adhered it to the flower burst with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The butterfly is from the Creative Elements Stamp Set and is also stamped in Pool Party and I cut that out with my Paper Snips. The for you is from the Itty Bitty Banners Stamp Set** and is stamped in Soft Suede and cut out with the Bitty Banners Framelits Dies**. The butterfly and banner are also adhered with Stampin Dimensionals. It’s a great size box to give a piece of jewelry or even just a cookie to someone special. I hope that you like today’s project. Mojo 243 and Sneak Peek

Happy Wednesday everyone! I hope that your first day back to work after that nice three day weekend wasn’t too bad. I am constantly just trying to get through to Friday each week! Today’s card is for this weeks Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge. Julee Tilman has provided this weeks sketch and it asks round or square…

I always choose the square one, I will have to give the round one a try soon. The base of my card is Whisper White Card Stock cut to 8 1/2″ x 4 1/4″ and the scored at 4 1/4″ and folded. The background uses the Texture Plates Backgrounds 1*** and is Baja Breeze Card Stock. I used some Patio Party Designer Series Paper** for the argyle strip and the hearts. The flagged ends are made just using my Paper Snips and a ruler (I am way too anal to eyeball anything!). The heart piece of DSP is mounted on a piece of Primrose Petals* Card Stock. The greetings are from the Priority Mail Host(ess)** Stamp Set and are stamped in Midnight Muse* and Primrose Petals* Ink. The happy birthday is punched out using the Curly Label Punch and the eat cake is punched with the Postage Stamp Punch. I cut out two circles, one in Midnight Muse* and one in Summer Starfruit*, with my Circle Scissor Pro***. They are adhered to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Comfort Café Bead Pinwheel Postage Thanks and Sneak Peek

Good morning and Happy Memorial Day! I hope that you all have some fun outdoor activities planned today with family and friends. It looks like it may be a nice day here today, hopefully it will stay that way! I went over to Stamp with Sandy the other night and we made paper beads and pinwheels. Today’s card features both of those items and another sneak peek. The base of the card is Soft Suede with a piece of Baja Breeze added as a plain background. The piece of Designer Series Paper in the middle is Comfort Café** from the new catalog. I cut it out with the new Apothecary Accents Framelits Dies** and my Big Shot. The pinwheel is made using a piece of First Edition Designer Series Paper. It is cut to 3 1/2″ square and scored diagonally from corner to corner using the Simply Scored with the Diagonal Plate. You then cut up each of the score lines leaving about 1/2″ in the center. Then you punch holes in the right hand side of each of the flaps with the 1/16″ Circle Punch and one in the middle. You take a brad and go around in a circle attaching all of the flaps and then put it through the middle and you have your pinwheel. I cut a thin strip of Soft Suede Card Stock for the stick and used some Mini Glue Dots to adhere it to the front of the card. The butterfly is made using the Beautiful Wings Embosslit Die and Midnight Muse* Card Stock. The body of the butterfly is a paper bead made with some more First Edition Designer Series Paper. To make the bead you cut out an 8″ long by 1″ wide triangle and wrap the large end around a toothpick and roll it a little and then use Tombo Multipurpose Glue to adhere the rest of the length which gives you the bead shape. After it has dried for a while you use a paintbrush to coat it with a layer of Crystal Effects to give it the shine and make it a little more durable. It is adhered to the butterfly with a Mini Glue Dot and to the Card With a Stampin’ Dimensional. The greeting is from the Pretty Postage Stamp Set. I used the 1″ Square Punch to punch it out and then the 3/16″ Corner Rounder to round the corners. I then punched out a piece of Midnight Muse* with the Curly Label Punch for the backing, it is also adhered to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. CCMC 203 and Sneak Peek

Hello everyone! I hope that you are having a nice weekend. It was in the 80’s here today and I took a ride in the convertible and Winston went to the groomers and I spent a lot of time crafting today! For me, it was a great day! Today’s card is for this weeks Create with Connie and Mary Challenge. This week we have a sketch challenge…

I wanted to use some cool tones so I went with Midnight Muse* and the Basic Grey from the Twitterpated Designer Series Paper. The base of the card is Midnight Muse Card Stock* and the background is Twitterpated DSP. I used the Paper Doily Large Sizzlits Die to cut out a piece of Whisper White Card Stock. With a little work and some help from your Paper Piercer the end result is a really nice paper doily. I used the Scallop Trim Border Punch on a sliver of Basic Grey for the bottom. The greeting is from the Keep Calm Stamp Set** and is stamped in Midnight Muse*. I used the Bitty Banners Framelits Dies** to cut out the “and” and popped it up on a Stampin’ Dimensional which I also used to adhere the greeting to the card. The pocketbook is from the same set and I mounted it to a 1″ circle with another Stampin’ Dimensional. I love the simplicity of the card and the colors. I’m also loving the Keep Calm** set and can’t wait to order some more new items from the Catalog on Thursday! Thank you so much for stopping by and have a great Sunday!
