Fab Friday 90

A very happy Friday to all of my peeps! What a nice day I had yesterday! I spent the morning getting the rest of Renee’s computer issues straightened out, 2 hours of my life I won’t get back! Thanks Microsoft! LOL! Sue stopped by the store so I got to wish her a Happy Birthday in person and give her her card! Renee got her a little chocolate cupcake too! Sandy stopped by to say hi and we played with some Altenew stamps. After they left I set out to make my card for last night’s Intro to Altenew class at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store! Nothing like cutting it close! There were 10 people scheduled and 14 showed up! YAY! We had so much fun and everyone left with a beautiful card and bunches of Altenew goodies so they can recreate their art at home! Bill stopped by on his way to say hello, love a visit from him! On my way home I stopped by Heather’s for a low key Thirsty Thursday. Brian was there and we sat and chatted and laughed as always! I got home around 11:30 and then set out to make my card for today! I don’t think that I have been to bed before 1:00AM in over a month but it’s all good!

The card that I made is for the Fab Friday Challenge! This time we have some colors…

A little patriotic, just in time for the 4th! My card is nice and simple! I have been really enjoying playing with die cuts lately! It’s all the My Monthly Hero Kit from this months fault! 😀 The base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I adhered a piece of postage themed Washi Tape down the left side. The die cuts are from the Spellbinders Feather Shapeablilities, Hipster 1 and Hipster 2 Die D-Lites. I cut them from Real Red, Tempting Turquoise, Pacific Point and Night of Navy. My greeting is form the Hero Arts Many Everyday Messages Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder. I adhered the phone and feather to the card with Dot Runner and the greeting banner and coffee cup with Foam Tape. It needed a little something else so I added Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins and a few Studio Calico Wood Veneer Stars. I love the phone and coffee cup die cuts and I need to get some more of the Wood Veneer Stars! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for the Fab Friday Color Challenge! Paper Craft Crew 199

Another busy day at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store! The weather was just lovely yesterday and it made it a little harder to concentrate! I stopped by my old work to drop a card off for my friend Valerie! It was so good to see her! I was bummed that no one from my old department was there but Nancy was getting an award for something, no surprise there! She is very dedicated to her work! Despite the fact that I kept going outside all day I still managed to get a lot done. I snuck out a little early so I could get to my Parent’s in time to see my little buddy Daniel! We played outside for a bit and then I had dinner, dropped my stuff off at my house and headed over to Heather’s for an early Thirsty Thursday! A good time as always! Today I have a bunch of orders arriving and my friend Sue is going to come by the store and help! That will be fun!

It’s Wednesday so I’m over on the Paper Craft Crew blog for this week’s sketch…

I’m getting in the habit of taking supplies with me to the store so I can work on my cards while I’m there. I look like a bag person when I leave the house in the morning! LOL! Today’s card base is Neenah Solar White 80lb cut to 5″ x 10″ and folded in half. I covered the front with a piece of Battleship Gray. Across the top is a piece of Bo Bunny Toy Box Paper, the Cheerful piece to be exact. In the lower left is a piece of Gold Mirror Card that I cut out with the Spellbinders Orchard Harvest Tags & Accessories Die. I used my Artisan X-Plorer to cut and emboss it and adhered it to the card with E-Z Runner. The flowers and leaves are from the Altenew Vintage Roses Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the flowers in Blush, Rouge, Crimson and Velvet Crisp Ink. The leaves are stamped in Hero Arts Lemon and Butter Bar and they are all cut out with the Coordinating Dies. I used Foam Tape to adhere them to the card. A small flag is cut from a piece of Pink and adhered slightly under the flower at the top. My greeting, from the Hero Arts Many Everyday Messages Photopolymer Stamp Set, is heat embossed on another piece of Pink and cut out with the Taylored Expressions ? Die. I adhered it to the card with Foam Tape. I decided that it needed a little bling so I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Clear Droplets and Gold Sequins. I love the colors, especially the leaves stamped in the bright yellow! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Fab Friday 89

Friday, Friday, Friday! Wee! I still loves me some Friday! I had another wonderful day at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store yesterday! I made a card and finished getting ready for the Stamping 101 Class. Renee got in some cool summer paper from Echo Park and Bella Blvd. and was happily rearranging things in the store to put them out. The class last night was great! Everyone left with a better understanding of the different types of stamps and inks that are available and what you can do with them! More people signed up for next week’s Lawn Fawn Card Class as well as the Introduction to Altenew Class the following week! I’m having so much fun!! Today I’m going to get a haircut before I head over to the store. I have to get busy and place more orders!

I did a sneak peek of my card for this week’s Fab Friday sketch on Instagram yesterday! Here is the sketch…

I turned it sideways and took a few liberties! Well, at least one! LOL! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I cut out a piece of Gold Mirror Card with the Spellbinders Postage Stamp Dies using my Artisan X-Plorer and then embossed it. Before I adhered it to the card I added two strips of paper, one Tropical Sea and one Yellow, and then adhered the stamp with E-Z Runner and Fun Foam. All of my images and greeting are from the Hero Arts Kelly’s New York Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the images in Memento Tuxedo Black and then colored them in with Copics. The pretzel has some Signo White Gel Pen added for the salt! They are all cut out with my Scissors and adhered to the card with Dot Runner and Foam Tape. The I Love NY is stamped in Onyx Black on Lemon Lime and punched out with a 1″ Circle Punch. The Greetings from New York City is also stamped in Onyx Black right on the card front. I love all of the fun images and neat greetings in that set! As an added bonus my friend Eva CASE’d my card and made one for her hometown of Portland! Stop by her BLOG and check it out! OSAT Blog Hop – Summer Lovin’

What started out as a nice sunny morning turned into November! LOL! Around 1:00 it started to pour and got really windy! I choose to wear shorts and flip flips today, bad choice! I did manage to get a few projects done at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store! It was a good day to be crafty at work! When I got home I had some dinner at my parent’s, my mum had gone over to see our neighbor whose husband had just passed away. They have been friends for a while and she is a very nice lady. My Dad and I chatted for a bit and then I came home and Taylor was here napping on the couch with binge watching Secrets of Magic on Netflix through her eyelids! Around 9:00 I ran up to BJ’s to get some stuff for work and bumped into Sue and her husband Joe. We talked for a while waiting on line. I miss seeing Sue! When I got back home I finished up my card and then typed my post before calling it a day. I have my Stamping 101 Class tonight, that should be fun!

For my projects today I’m participating in a blog hop with a bunch of my friends from one of the Facebook groups that I belong to. It’s called One Stamp at a Time Cards and More. If you have arrived here from my good friend Andrea’s blog, welcome! This month we have a Summer Lovin’ theme! Ahh, Summer love, I have had one of those, I miss it!

First up I have a card. The base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the front covered in a piece of My Colors Slate. I adhered a strip of My Colors Mini Dot Prairie Hearts Paper down the left side. Some Gold Mirror Card is cut out with the Spellbinders Twisted Metal Tags and Accents Dies using my Artisan X-Plorer, I also embossed the die cut and then adhered it to the card with Multi-Matte Medium. My flowers and leaves are form the Altenew Vintage Flowers Photopolymer Stamp Set. They are stamped in Arctic, Caribbean Sky, Persian Blue and Sapphire Crisp Ink for the flowers and Morning Frost, Evening Gray and Moon Rock Crisp Ink for the leaves using my Mini MISTI. I cut them out with the Coordinating Dies and adhered them to the card with Foam Tape. My greeting is from the Altenew Label Love Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder on a piece of 46lb Vellum. I trimmed it out with my Scissors and adhered it to the flower with Kool-Tak Clear Foam Tape. I was going to add some sequins but I thought that it looked nice just the way it was!

The other project I have for you is a box that I made using the We R Memory Keepers Envelope Punch Board. I used the same Card Stock, Dies and Stamps to create it. I love the coordination with the card using the same stamps and shapes! It’s also a lot of fun to dig through Renee’s stash and use things that I normally wouldn’t get to use!

Triple Starburst Birthday

Hi there! I think that Snowmageddon 2016 has finally come to an end. It snowed here all day and we got about 30 inches. 29 inches more than I care for! I think the worst part was the wind, you couldn’t even stand outside. Poor little Winston didn’t know what to do, the snow was way higher than him! Everyone was told to stay off the roads from 2:30pm yesterday until sometime this morning. The Long Island Rail Road along with Metro North and any above ground subways were also closed. I spent all day in the house watching moves and crafting. I did venture over to my parent’s for dinner, mum made the most delicious chicken soup! Today I will attempt to dig out my poor car, that should be loads of fun! Here is a picture of my parents backyard…

That was around 6:00 and it snowed for at least another 8 hours. I will say it again, I’m not a fan of Winter!

One of the cards that I made yesterday is today’s card, a nice masculine birthday card! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the front covered in a piece of Black 110lb. For my background I used the Simon Says Stamp Falling Snow Background Stamp and heat embossed it on a piece of Smoky Slate with Ranger Silver Pearl Embossing Powder. It’s then adhered to the card with SNAIL and Fun Foam. My stars are cut out from some Basic Gray, Black 110lb and Bronze 80lb with the Spellbinders Shining Star Die. I ran it through twice, once to cut it out and then again with the Beige Embossing Mat. The bottom two are adhered with Multi-Matte Medium and the top bronze one with Foam Tape. My greeting is from the Lawn Fawn Let’s Bokeh Photopolymer Stamp Set and it’s stamped in Versa-Fine Onyx Black. I love that Silver Pearl Embossing Powder, it looks so cool on the Smoky Slate! Gold Mint Shining Star Birthday

Hi there! I aim to be a bit more productive today than I was yesterday! After my lazy morning Michael and I headed over to see Renee at Scrap-A-Latte. The weather was perfect yesterday for a nice ride in the convertible. When we finished there we headed to Friday’s for some dinner and then came back to the house and saw Taylor for a bit. We watched a little TV and then Michael went back to Sue’s and I made a card and puttered around a bit before calling it a night. Let’s see what today brings!

Oh, I almost forgot! Michael made a super clean card for the Freshly Made Sketches 200th sketch! You can check it out by visiting his blog HERE!

The card is a somewhat simple birthday card, I wanted to use a new die that Michael had gotten me! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb and the front is covered in a piece of Basic Black. I put a strip of Little B Washi Tape down the right side of a piece of Mint Macaroon and adhered that to the card. Another piece of Basic Black is cut out with the Simon Says Stamp Large Tags Dies and some Hemptique Black Hemp Twine is tied though the top. I adhered the tag to the card with Fun Foam and SNAIL. The star is that new die I mentioned from Spellbinders called Shining Star. I cut it out from Gold Foil Sheet and adhered it to the tag with Foam Tape. My greeting is from the Simon Says Stamp Happy Birthday Messages Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black on a piece of Mint Macaroon and also adhered to the tag with Foam Tape. A scattering of Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins completes the card. I love the Mint Macaroon and Black together and that star is just so cool! I hope that you enjoyed today’s birthday card!
