SIP Challenge 77 – A Sketch!

Well, it rained Sunday night into Monday morning so guess what I was greeted with when I got to the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store?! Yep, a steady stream of water from the ceiling again! I guess that they never fixed it from last week and we are supposed to get more rain tomorrow night. Hopefully it will be fixed by then! Renee had her Christmas Card Club Class yesterday and I worked on a few cards, I made today’s and a few Just because ones! After work as usual, I had dinner with my Parents and Taylor. I came back to my house and had a quick cup of coffee before heading over to Geroge’s to get Heather. We met Stephanie back at Heather’s and had an early Thirsty Thursday which also included a trip over to Target! I was good and only got a few necessities and some reindeer glitter! Can’t wait to use that in a shaker card! I got home around 11:00 and worked on my post before calling it a day. I’ll be flying solo at the Store today, Renee┬áis going to spend some time with her grandsons. I have a ton of stuff to do so hopefully I will get through it! čśÇ

It’s Tuesday and that means that we have a new Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge for you…

A nice simple sketch! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and I stamped the falling snow from the Lawn Fawn Snow Cool Photopolymer Stamp Set in Lawn Fawn Merman Ink. Down the left side is a piece of Lawn Fawn Perfectly Plaid Christmas Paper from the 6×6 Pad. My tag is a piece of Blue Mint that I cut out with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Circle Tags Lawn Cuts. I cut out another piece from Solar White 80lb and then used the Lawn Fawn Stitched Hillside Borders Lawn Cuts and made my snowy hill for my little scene. The images are all from the Lawn Fawn Cherry Christmas Photopolymer Stamp Set and are stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black, colored in with Copics and cut out with the Coordinating Lawn Cuts. I adhered all of the pieces to the card with 3D Foam Squares and a Glue Pen. Through the top of the tag I tied a piece of Lawn Fawn Green Sparkle Lawn Trimmings Twine and then used two strips of Xyron Magnetic Tape to hold the tag to the card. My greeting is from the Lawn Fawn Winter Big Scripty Words Photopolymer Stamp Set, I stamped it in Jalape├▒o and cut it and three more pieces of Solar White 80lb out with the Coordinating Dies and adhered them to each other and to the card with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. I used the magnet tape so that the recipient could remove the tag from the card and use it as an ornament! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Sketch Challenge! Don’t forget to stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the talented Design Team’s cards and enter yours into the gallery to share your take on the sketch with us! 25 Days of Christmas Tags featuring Concord & 9th!

Hi there! I hope that your weekend is off to a good start! I enjoyed day two of my Card Class at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store! Danielle was in the night class and we ended up talking at the store until midnight! We certainly had a lot of catching up to do! Today Renee has a no-frills crop, I’ll get to spend some time with the ladies! Always a good way to start off the weekend!

Today I’m participating in a blog hop for the 25 Days of Christmas Tags hosted by Tracey McNeeley! I’m so happy to be a part of this along with the rest of the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Design Team! You can find out more about the hop by clicking HERE! I understand that there are some giveaways so be sure to check it out!

For those of you that are regulars here on the blog you know that I’m a big fan of non-traditional Holidays! My tag today certainly fits within those parameters! I used the Concord & 9th Bags and Tags Dies to cut out a piece of Crisp Green and a piece of Neenah Solar White 80lb Card Stock. From the piece of White I then die cut the speech bubble. My trees are and greeting are from the Concord & 9th O Christmas Tree Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the trees and snowflakes in Lawn Fawn Merman, Plastic Flamingo and Sugarplum Ink onto the the white pieces and heat embossed the sentiment in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto the Crisp Green Part. The white pieces are then adhered to the Crisp Green with 3D Foam Squares, my hole reinforcement is adhered with Multi-Matte Medium and a piece of American Crafts Bright Pink Primio Twine is tied through the top. I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Amethyst, Lime Sorbet and Watermelon Sequins to finish it off! Like I said, non-traditional but bright and fun! I hope that you enjoyed my tag! Don’t forget to head┬áover to┬áthe 25 Days of Christmas Tags┬áand see the rest of the Team’s tags!┬áConcord & 9th is giving away a $25 Gift Certificate so be sure and leave a comment! Thanks for sharing some of your Saturday with me! Have a simply amazing day! čÖé
