Paper Players 355

As predicted most of yesterday was quiet. I read a little in the morning and then around 3:00 I headed over to Brian & Kim’s to celebrate Kim’s brother Kevin’s birthday! Heather and George were there so I spent most of my time with them. We had fun and it was good to see everyone! Taylor came by and spent the rest of the night with me, we watched a little TV. This morning I’m going to get some cleaning done! Ahh… Mondays! 😀

Today I have my card for this week’s Paper Players challenge to share with you…

I went diagonal from top left to bottom right. My card started by me using the Concord & 9th Aloha Fill0In Stencils and some Sunflower and Lobster Ink to color the Concord & 9th Aloha Fill-In Patterned Paper. I trimmed it to 5 1/2 x 4 1/4  and then used the Simon Says Stamp Nesting Circles to cut out a piece from the left side. It’s adhered it to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. Then I placed it in my Mini MISTI and stamped the greeting from the Concord & 9th Aloha Friend Photopolymer Stamp Set in Sunflower inside the negative space of the circle. A few Teresa Collins Red Enamel Dots complete the card! I love the Fill-In Papers and how you can make them any color that you want! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Paper Players Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge! Thank you for starting another one of your weeks off with me! Have a magnificent Monday! 🙂

Flowers and a Butterfly for You

Yup, it was yet another overcast day here yesterday. It has been so long I have forgotten what the sun looks like! I worked on some of my project in the morning and then went over to see Daniel and my Parent’s for a little while. Daniel had a really nice track suit on and I asked him if I could have it, he said flat out no! LOL! After my little visit I headed over to Heather’s. She dropped her iPhone and shattered, and I do mean shattered, the screen. She found a Groupon for a place in Hicksville, not too far from us, to get it fixed so we headed up to drop it off. For lunch we decided on SmashBurger since it was across the street, delicious as always! The phone was ready in 45 minutes and we headed back to her place where I proceeded to take a 20 minute nap! It must be the weather! Taylor text me to let me know that her and Kiera were at my house so I came back home. Taylor went to the Dr. and she has to have her tonsils taken out. That doesn’t sound like fun. Around 5:15 I headed over to meet up with Sue so we could run to Michaels to get a few things for her daughter’s graduation party. By the time I got back home it was 6:45 and time to go out to Friday’s with Anthony and Bill for dinner! We saw our favorite waitress Meg, she’s off to Cancun for a few days! Lucky!! When I got home after dinner I worked on my card and watched the end of Guardians of the Galaxy. Today I have lots to accomplish, I hope it’s a productive day!

My card that I have to share with you today is a just for fun one. I wanted to do some masking and the card evolved from there! My flowers, leaves and greeting are from the Hero Arts Color Layering Let Love Grow Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the flowers in Bubble Gum, Ultra Pink and Raspberry Jam and the leaves in Forever Green masking them as I went. The centers are stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black along with the greeting. My butterfly is from the Hero Arts Color Layering Butterflies Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Bubble Gum, Raspberry Jam and Memento Tuxedo Black. I used the Coordinating Dies to cut out the butterfly and the body and adhered the body with Multi-Matte Medium. The panel is adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with a strip of paper from the Teresa Collins Something Wonderful 6×6 Paper Pad down the left. I used Fun Foam and E-Z Runner to attach the panel and a strip of Scor-Tape to adhere the butterfly. Some Glossy Accents is added to the butterfly body and the flower centers and the card is done! I do love the of look of the masked flowers and the greeting is just perfect! I hope that you enjoyed my card for today! Thank you so much for spending a little time with me today! Have an amazing Saturday! 🙂

And some of the snow melted! Not a lot but some of it and that’s a good thing! I had another pretty laid back day. I FaceTimed with Andrea in the morning for a bit and then watched some TV. Just before I headed over to my parent’s to see Daniel and to have dinner I got the urge to watercolor. I sat down and did a freehand watercolor card front. I don’t know if you will get to see it, it’s not that great! LOL! After dinner I took a ride over to A. C. Moore and then Heather called and said that she had made some Pad Thai and asked if I wanted to taste it, of course! I went over to her house and the food was excellent! We had a glass of wine and she has to go for another one of the epidural shots so Brian is taking her and I said that I would tag along too. That’s where I will be this morning!

My post for today is for this week’s Paper Craft Crew challenge…

PCCCS179 DT Theme 1-27-2016

Ahh… love! I have been really into Valentine’s this year too! My card base for today is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the Lawn Fawn Stitched Journaling Card Lawn Cuts to cut out two pieces of paper from the Teresa Collins Something Wonderful 6×6 Paper Pad. The top one has a heart cut out of it using the Lawn Fawn Stitched Hearts Stackables Lawn Cuts. I also cut one out of Real Red and used the same heart that I used on the patterned paper to cut out the middle of that one too. I haphazardly adhered the patterned paper to the card and then used some Foam Tape to adhere the heart over the cut out. Some more Real Red is cut out with the Lawn Fawn Scripty Love Lawn Cut and adhered to the panel with Multi-Matte Medium. Up in the top right corner I used a Mini Clothespin to attach a length of the Real Red Pom-Pom Trim. A few Pretty Pink Posh Marshmallow and Red Sequins complete the card! I love the cut outs in the paper and the heart and the Pom-Pom Trim is a fun little addition too! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Theme Challenge! Stop by the blog to check out the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thanks very much for stopping by today! Have a wickedly wonderful Wednesday! 🙂
