OSAT Blog Hop – Summer Lovin’

What started out as a nice sunny morning turned into November! LOL! Around 1:00 it started to pour and got really windy! I choose to wear shorts and flip flips today, bad choice! I did manage to get a few projects done at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store! It was a good day to be crafty at work! When I got home I had some dinner at my parent’s, my mum had gone over to see our neighbor whose husband had just passed away. They have been friends for a while and she is a very nice lady. My Dad and I chatted for a bit and then I came home and Taylor was here napping on the couch with binge watching Secrets of Magic on Netflix through her eyelids! Around 9:00 I ran up to BJ’s to get some stuff for work and bumped into Sue and her husband Joe. We talked for a while waiting on line. I miss seeing Sue! When I got back home I finished up my card and then typed my post before calling it a day. I have my Stamping 101 Class tonight, that should be fun!

For my projects today I’m participating in a blog hop with a bunch of my friends from one of the Facebook groups that I belong to. It’s called One Stamp at a Time Cards and More. If you have arrived here from my good friend Andrea’s blog, welcome! This month we have a Summer Lovin’ theme! Ahh, Summer love, I have had one of those, I miss it!

First up I have a card. The base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the front covered in a piece of My Colors Slate. I adhered a strip of My Colors Mini Dot Prairie Hearts Paper down the left side. Some Gold Mirror Card is cut out with the Spellbinders Twisted Metal Tags and Accents Dies using my Artisan X-Plorer, I also embossed the die cut and then adhered it to the card with Multi-Matte Medium. My flowers and leaves are form the Altenew Vintage Flowers Photopolymer Stamp Set. They are stamped in Arctic, Caribbean Sky, Persian Blue and Sapphire Crisp Ink for the flowers and Morning Frost, Evening Gray and Moon Rock Crisp Ink for the leaves using my Mini MISTI. I cut them out with the Coordinating Dies and adhered them to the card with Foam Tape. My greeting is from the Altenew Label Love Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder on a piece of 46lb Vellum. I trimmed it out with my Scissors and adhered it to the flower with Kool-Tak Clear Foam Tape. I was going to add some sequins but I thought that it looked nice just the way it was!

The other project I have for you is a box that I made using the We R Memory Keepers Envelope Punch Board. I used the same Card Stock, Dies and Stamps to create it. I love the coordination with the card using the same stamps and shapes! It’s also a lot of fun to dig through Renee’s stash and use things that I normally wouldn’t get to use!

Gold You’re Enough

How is your weekend going? Mine is pretty good! It was a little gloomy here in the morning but brightened up by the end of the day. The store was busy today with people taking Angie’s Folio class. They made a really nice masculine one with fold-outs and lots of pockets! I did some more administrative stuff and a little ordering too. We had a meeting at the end of the day, always a good way to end the day! It was sunny on the way home so down went the top in the car! I had dinner with my parent’s and then came home with Winston and crafted for a bit and even snuck in a little TV! Today I will be taking a little time to get organized and plan for some upcoming classes at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store!

I have been on a little bit of a “Kraft-y” kick lately! Get it?! LOL! My card today starts off with a base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock, the front is covered in a piece of Black 110lb. I stamped my flower from the Concord & 9th You’re Enough Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts Bubblegum and Ultra Pink Inks using my MISTI. The outline is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black. It’s then run through my Big Shot with the Concord & 9th You’ve Got This Die. I adhered a piece of Gold Mirror Card to the base and then adhered the Kraft panel with the die cut over that. Another nice simple card but the gold behind the die cut greeting really gives it a little bit of a wow! I hope that you enjoyed my card today! Freshly Made Sketches 239

Well, now that I’m lucky enough to be at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store seven days a week Friday’s have lost a little bit of their luster! LOL! Nah, I still love a Friday! It was sunny here in the morning yesterday but got a little gloomy as the day went on. Renee and I had a fun day, my parent’s came by with Daniel and he looked at my cards for this month’s class featuring the new Lawn Fawn Release and decided that the shaker card was his favorite! Sue and her sister Arlene also stopped by and the four of had a nice chat! More Lawn Fawn came in yesterday and I got that entered and put out. Since I’m at the store all the time now I’m offering Card Class in the morning as well as the evening on June 16th and 17th. It’s filling up fast so if you’re in the area and want to take it give the store a call and sign up! You can see a picture of the cards on the @stampinkpaperstore Instagram account on the Facebook page for the store! On the way home I stopped by Heather’s and got her so we could run to BJ’s. Daniel was still at my parent’s so we ran in to say hello and Daniel showed Heather all of his cars! After BJ’s we went back to Heather’s and she made a delicious salad for dinner and then Stephanie came by for a low key thirsty Thursday! I got home around 10:30 and finished two sweet 16 cards for Kiera’s mum and made my card for today. Taylor and Kiera stopped by and I chatted with Kiera while Taylor took a nap! Just like her dad, she can sleep anywhere!

I played with some “new to me” goodies for my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge…

My card starts off with a base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I heat embossed the images from the Waffle Flower Lacy Flower Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder on a piece of 28lb Vellum. The fun die cut coordinates with the stamp set and is called Lacy Flowers. There are a bunch of different size flowers and also another coordinating set that cuts out solids of the flowers to go behind them. The greeting is from the same set and is heat embossed in Black onto a piece of White Gold Curious Metallic. I flagged the left side and then used Foam Tape and Dot Runner Adhesive to adhere all of the pieces to the card. I love that flower die, so intricate and it falls right out of the die, no magic needed! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge! Paper Players 297

The week straightened itself out yesterday, I knew that it was Wednesday! Back on track! We enjoyed some more nice weather, top down there and back to the store. Renee and I both got orders in this morning and worked on getting them out. I got a smattering of Waffle Flower to try out, I have to say that I like it! Very different! I spoke to Michael and FaceTimed with Andrea. Renee and I had Subway for lunch and for some reason it didn’t agree with me. I have also forgotten to take my allergy pill for the past two days so I have a nice sinus headache. Maybe I’ll remember tomorrow?! I also got my Lawn Fawn cards done for this month’s class! Love getting ahead! When I got home I had a sandwich at my parent’s and then took some Excedrin and waited for the headache to subside. When it finally went away I made my card for today and had a lot of fun doing it! Today I’ll be making some samples while I’m at the store, oh so nice to be crafty at work!

My card that I made last night is for this week’s Paper Players challenge…

I went across the middle and the diagonal from lower left to upper right snuck in there! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The background is a piece of Desert Storm 80lb that I stamped with the Hero Arts Designer Woodgrain Background Stamp in Hero Arts White Dye Ink. Before adhering it to the card I added a piece of Black & White Stripe Washi Tape down the right side. Next up I cut out a frame with the the Lawn Fawn Stitched Circle Frames Lawn Cuts from a piece of Gold Mirror Card and used the Lawn Fawn Stitched Circles to cut out a piece of 48lb Vellum. On to the Vellum circle I heat embossed the bridge from the Hero Arts City Adventure Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder. The frame is then adhered to the Vellum and then to the card with Multi-Matte Medium. Once that was done I decided that the card was a little too wide so I cut 1/2″ off of the left side. All of the rest of the images are from the Hero Arts Hipster at Heart Photopolymer Stamp Set. The coffee and beans are stamped in Cup-O-Joe, the mason jar mug is heat embossed in Hero Arts White and the arrows are heat embossed in Hero Arts Copper. I used the Coordinating Dies to cut them all out except for the coffee beans, those are cut out with my Scissors. The coffee cup is adhered to the mason jar mug with Dot Runner Adhesive and then it and all of the rest of the elements are adhered to the card with Foam Tape. My greeting is from the Hero Arts Many Everyday Messages Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in more Copper. I used the Lawn Fawn Everyday Sentiment Banners Lawn Cuts to cut the greeting out and that too is adhered with Foam Tape. Finally I added some Pretty Pink Posh Gold and Onyx Sequins. Can you tell how much I’m enjoying those new Hero Sets?! And I love that White Dye Ink, so subtle! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Players Tic-Tac-Toe challenge! Mojo Monday 450

Another sunny day here yesterday, a little on the humid side but that’s because our streak of luck has run out! It’s supposed to rain all day today. Oh well, it was great while it lasted! I spent the day crafting, actually getting a little ahead! I managed to make three cards! Yippie! I also had to go for a ride and enjoy the weather so I headed over to Barnes & Noble in search of a magazine but I alas they didn’t have it. I’ll have to see if I can stop by one in Manhattan today, that’s where I’m headed. I guess I’ll have to be sure and bring my umbrella, wonder where that is?! Oh Happy Memorial Day to all my peeps in the states, it’s going to be a washout here but hopefully you will have nice weather where you are and get to enjoy a BBQ with your friends and family!

Today, like every Monday, lucky boy that I am, I’m over on the Mojo Monday blog for this week’s sketch challenge…

Love a Tall & Skinny!! My card base is Neenah Solar White 100lb Card stock. For my background I stamped a piece of Melon Mambo with the Hero Arts Confetti Bold Prints Background using Hero Arts Raspberry Jam Ink. Down the left side is a piece of Gold Mirror Card and my greeting, along with all of my images, is from the Hero Arts Color Layering Flower for You Photopolymer Stamp Set. I heat embossed the greeting on a piece of 46lb Vellum and wrapped it around the panel before adhering it to the card with E-Z Runner. The flag is a piece of Solar White 80lb with the outline of the flower image stamped in Ultra Pink and that’s adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. The main flower is stamped in Bubble Gum, Ultra Pink and Raspberry Jam with the leaves stamped in Lawn Fawn Freshly Cut Grass Ink and Forever Green. I used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out and adhered the leaves with Dot Runner and the flower with Foam Tape. Around the top I tied a piece of American Crafts Brights Hemp Twine in a bow to finish the card. I love that Flowers for You Set and the fun Confetti Background! Paper Craft Crew 196

Another fun day at Stamp, Ink, Paper! Renee got a new line of paper in that moved like hotcakes! My second half of my Lawn Fawn order arrived, I entered it in the system, priced it and put it out. I got in touch with the customers that wanted it and they came in throughout the day to pick it up. Renee and I bounce ideas off of each other all day and she called me after she left with a really good one!! Can’t wait to share it with you! When I got home I had dinner, mum made chili! One of my favorites! My friend Sue stopped by and we chatted for a while and I subjected her to my latest YouTube obsessions! After she left I sat down and made my card, it was going to be a quick card… ummm… not really! Does that happen to you? You set out to make a simple card and end up using half of the supplies that you have?! LOL!

Today I’m over on the Paper Craft Crew blog for this week’s sketch challenge…

When I saw the sketch I remembered that I had a butterfly die that I had picked up a while ago on one of my trips with Sue and Michael to a craft show. About time I used it! The card base today is Ivory 110lb Card Stock. I splattered some Heidi Swapp Tinsel Color Shine on the front and worked on the rest of the card while that dried. A piece of Gold Mirror Card (yes, again! LOL!) is cut out with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Squares Lawn Cuts and adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. My butterfly is a two piece die from Paper Artist. I cut the back out from a piece of 36lb Vellum and the top from a piece of Basic Gray. A tiny piece of Scor-Tape holds the two together and also adhered it to the Mirror Card. Another piece of Mirror Card is cut out with the Simon Says Stamp Loopy Circles Craft Die and adhered to the butterfly with Multi-Matte Medium. The greeting is from the Hero Arts Many Everyday Messages Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Ranger Liquid Platinum Embossing Powder onto a piece of 48lb Vellum. I used the Lawn Fawn Everyday Sentiment Banners to cut it out and used a piece of Kool-Tac Clear Foam Tape to adhere it to the card. Yes, I’m obsessed with that Mirror Card, but you have to admit it does look pretty cool! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge! SIP Challenge 49 – Flowers!

Now that I get to spend everyday at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store inside Scrap-A-Latte I can’t even say anything bad about Monday! What could make the day better? Why getting to drive there and back with the top down in the car listening to some unnecessarily loud music! Have you heard the new Justin Timberlake song Can’t Stop the Feeling? It’s the perfect happy upbeat song for nice rides in the car! Who doesn’t like a pocket full of sunshine?! I got lots accomplished at work but was bummed when I found that the second half of my Lawn Fawn order didn’t come. I discovered that it was too big to ship through the Post Office so it went UPS and that added an extra day. Guess there is a lot in that box! We had some new customers come by the store and I even got to talk tech with one of the husbands! 😀 I had a little dinner when I got home and talked with my parents and neighbor for a while before coming inside and making my card for today. This morning I’ll get the Lawn Fawn order all sorted out and make some samples! Yay!!

That card that I made last night… it’s for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge…

Ahh… flowers… who doesn’t like flowers?! My card base for today is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the front covered in a piece of Black 110lb. That fun gold frame is cut out from a piece of Gold Mirror Card (yes, I use a lot of it!) using the Lawn Fawn Stitched Ovals Lawn Cuts. I adhered it to the card with Multi-Matte Medium. Those pretty flowers in the center are from the Altenew Vintage Flowers Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the flowers in Blush, Rouge, Crimson and Velvet Crisp Inks and the leaves in Morning Frost, Evening Gray and Moon Rock Crisp Inks using my Mini MISTI. They are cut out with the Coordinating Dies and arranged on the card. Some Press ‘n Seal picked them up, keeping them exactly where I placed them, while I added Tombo Dot Runner and Foam Tape to the back. They are then placed back on the card, pressed in place and the Press ‘n Seal removed. For the greeting I stamped one of the sentiments from the Altenew Label Love Photopolymer Stamp Set in Moon Rock and cut it out with my Scissors. A little Foam Tape adhered that to the top of the card. Finally, a few Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins are added for a little sparkle! I LOVE that Altenew Ink, such good coverage and really easy to clean off your stamps too! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! Mojo Monday 449

How was everyone’s weekend? Mine was pretty good except for the water issue in the bathroom yesterday morning! I walked in the carpet was wet along with the bottom of the shower curtain?! I called my neighbor upstairs and he came down and assessed the scene. He decided he knew what it was and got parts and fixed it. I had to shower at my parent’s so I won’t know if he was successful until I get in there today! Hopefully he was! At the store I worked on getting things organized and making some loyalty cards and other design related things. Angie worked on an Art Journaling page that is just awesome and Renee worked on her layouts for classes. Love all of the creativity! I forgot to bring crafty stuff with me so I spent a little time making my card when I got home. It’s hard to know what to bring with you when you leave in the morning! Especially when you are thrown off by a bathroom fiasco! LOL! Today I’ll be getting the rest of the Lawn Fawn order and hopefully some other stuff that I ordered! I’m really having a lot of fun, can you tell?!

Now on to the business at hand! Today’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge…

I have had the stamp set that I used on today’s card for a L O N G time! It’s ’bout time that I inked it up! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the Lawn Fawn Large Stitched Rectangles Lawn Cuts to cut out a piece of Pink Pirouette and adhered that to the front of the card. My patterned paper is from the Crate Paper Flea Market 6×6 Paper Pad and is cut out with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Squares Lawn Cuts. The strip down the right side is a piece of Midnight Muse on top of a piece of Gold Mirror Card. The square and strip are both adhered to the card with E-Z Runner. My greeting and retro phone are both from the Hero Arts Just Saying Hi Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped them both in Onyx Black and heat embossed the phone with Simon Says Stamp Clear Fine Detail Embossing Powder. The phone is cut out with Scissors and a craft knife, I need a little more practice with the knife, and adhered to the card with Foam Tape. When I saw that piece of patterned paper it reminded me of wallpaper from the 50’s so I thought that it went well with the phone! I’m not gonna lie, I’m a little tired! I guess not working full time for 6 months and then going back full time plus will do that to you! LOL! It’s all good though, I’m loving being at the store and keeping everything organized! Yesterday there was a crop so the store was full! I love getting to sit there and chat with everyone! Angie and I ran an errand to the Dollar Store and then I went out and got us Wendy’s for lunch. It was a busy day and I really did have a good time! I spoke to Michael on my way home and then had Chinese for dinner with my parent’s. Taylor stopped by with Kiera and the had the cutest baby kitten with them. She is a stray and Taylor wanted me to keep her at my house but she wasn’t very fond of Winston! If they can’t find a good home I guess I’ll have to give in! Heather called around 9:45 so I ran over to her house for a glass of wine an some catch up! I’ll be back over at the store for a little while today and then I must do some laundry, almost completely out of clothes! How is your weekend?

When I did finally get home and settled I made my card for today. The card base is Ivory 110lb Card Stock. I used the Simon Says Stamp Circle Loops Craft Die to cut out two pieces of Gold Mirror Card. My feathers are cut from more Ivory 110lb with some cool postage themed Washi Tape adhered to it. I used the Simon Says Stamp Pointed Feathers Dies to cut them out. For the Heart I used Red Felt and the Simon Says Stamp Combined Hearts Dies. My greeting consists of a Black 110lb Be cut from the Simon Says Stamp Be Craft Die and the happy heat embossed onto more Black 110lb with Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder. All of the pieces are adhered to the card with Elmer’s Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive except the happy which is adhered with Foam Tape. I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Gold, Cobalt and Raspberry Sequins to compete the card! Oh how I have missed feathers and I do love them cut from the Washi Tape! Paper Craft Crew 193

Oh boy! The week is moving right along isn’t it?! I woke up later than I wanted to today and for some reason that throws off my whole day. I did manage to make a card this morning with Andrea via FaceTime and we chatted about some Design Team things. Before I headed over to see Renee at Scrap-A-Latte I stopped by my parent’s to see Daniel and Erika was there. It was another rainy day so perfect to sit and discuss lots of things with Renee. We got a lot accomplished and that made me feel better! When I got back home it was time for dinner and mum made beef stew, perfect for a rainy day. After dinner I came home and watched some YouTube videos and did some research on my little project. Soon I will be able to share with you what I have been working on! I hope that when you find out what it is that you are as excited as I am!

No on to today’s post! It’s for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge…

As soon as I saw the sketch I knew just what I wanted to do! The card base is Ivory 110lb Card Stock. I adhered a strip of paper from the Timeless Elegance Designer Series Paper Pack across the upper half of the card. My circles are cut out with the Simon Says Stamp Circle Loops Craft Dies from, you guessed it, Gold Mirror Card Stock! Sick of it yet?! LOL! I adhered them to the card with Elmer’s Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. The greeting is from the Hero Arts Hello Gorgeous Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed onto a strip of Black 110lb with Ranger Gold Embossing Powder. I flagged the left side and adhered it to the card with Foam Tape. I didn’t have a gold button so I took one from the giant bin-o-buttons and coated it in Versa-Mark and dipped it in the Gold Embossing Powder. Some Tweezers helped to hold it while I heat set the powder and I had a matching gold button! Some Hemptique Black Hemp Twine is tied in a bow and the button is adhered to the greeting strip with a Glue Dot. I just had to use that greeting! I think that it’s so different! This would make a fun wedding card, you could write congratulations on the inside and it would go perfectly with the Sinceriously!
