Paper Players 364

My apologies for my absence over the weekend! I was over Jim’s on Friday night until late and then over there again all day on Saturday. We got a ton accomplished including decorating the house for Halloween! He has a lot of stuff but we did pare it down a bit. Yesterday I had the pleasure of going into Manhattan to see my friends Jim and Diane in the morning and then from there I went over and saw Kim. We set up her new iPhone and robot vacuum. She asked me if was interested in a robot vacuum and I said oh no, I love to vacuum! LOL! Taylor had to borrow my car again yesterday so she picked me up from the train, we hung out for a bit and then I finished the evening by making today’s card and watching a little TV! I have a bunch of stuff to follow up on this morning and a few projects to get through, maybe some cabinet stripping if there is time! πŸ˜€

I love this week’s Paper Players challenge, I knew just what I wanted to make as soon as I saw it…

To start I pulled out the Hero Arts September My Monthly Hero Kit and stamped the sunflower in Butter Bar, Pumpkin Pie, Just Rust and Cup O Joe. My leaves are from the Hero Arts Color Layering Grateful Leaves Photopolymer Stamp Set and are stamped with the Hero Arts Ombre Autumn Pad. The leaves and sunflower are then all cut out with the Coordinating Dies. For my card base I adhered a piece of Desert Storm 80lb to a piece of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My wreath is cut from Gold Mirror Card using the Hero Arts Branch Wreath Fancy Die and adhered to the card with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. I added the sunflower and leaves with E-Z Runner and 3M Foam Tape. All that was left to do was stamp the greeting in Cup O Joe and the card is done! I love the leaves paired with the sunflower, I think it makes for a lovely fall cluster! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Paper Players Theme Challenge from Sandy! Thank you for starting your week off with me! Have a marvelous Monday! πŸ™‚

Fab Friday 122

Another week is coming to an end. I had a busy morning yesterday, I ran over to Jim’s to pick something up and then stopped back home before I headed over to Sue’s. We had a nice productive day, got a lot done. Last night after dinner Taylor and I ran a few errands, always nice to see the child! Today I have some more purging to do! I do love a good purge! πŸ˜€

I can’t believe that it’s time for a new Fab Friday challenge…

I got to use another new to me stamp! On my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock I stamped the branches in Cup O Joe and the flowers in Red Raspberry, both from the Hero Arts Color Layering Birds & Blossoms Photopolymer Stamp Set. The greeting is stamped in Raspberry Jam in the upper left. The birds are stamped in Just Rust and Emerald Green for the first layer and then Cup O Joe for the second. They are cut out with the Coordinating Dies and adhered to the card with 3M Foam Tape. Just a few Pretty Pink Posh Raspberry Sequins finish the card! I love that stamp set, so simple and fun! I hope that you like my Design Team card for the Fab Friday Color Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Paper Players 363

Another Wednesday under our belts! I had a semi-productive day. Got a few things done in the morning and then did some laundry. It was another warm day, we had a little rain in the evening for a few minutes but all in all a good day! I stopped by my friend’s house and dropped off their newly formatted MacBook and helped them finish setting it up. The rest of the evening was spent relaxing and watching a little TV. I did watch the new episode of This is Us yesterday morning, man is that a good show! Today I’m off to spend some time with Sue! πŸ˜€

I got me a new Hero Set yesterday and decided to use it to make my card for this week’s Paper Players challenge…

I began by stamping the images from the Hero Arts Color Layering Poppy Photopolymer Stamp Set in Pale Tomato, Raspberry Jam, Red Royal and Black. The closed ones are stamped in Forever Green. I used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out and then stamped the stems in Forever Green onto piece of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My card base is the same and has a piece of paper from the DCWV Maps, Text & Ledgers Paper Pad adhered as the background. Some Fun Foam and E-Z Runner holds the panel with the flowers to the card. My greeting is from the same set and is stamped in Black, I flagged the ends and adhered it to the card with 3M Foam Tape. I love the poppies and the unexpected vintage paper for the background! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Paper Players Sketch Challenge! Thank you for visiting! Have an awesome Thursday! πŸ™‚

Paper Craft Crew 261

Hello! My apologies for my lateness this morning, I had some computer issues last night and it was a little too late to deal with them! When computers work they are amazing but buy when they don’t, not fun! I had a pretty productive day yesterday, ran some errands, did a little cleaning and some laundry. My friend Scott stopped by to take a look at installing my Ecobee Thermostat that I have had for over a year. Now that finally will get done! Last night after dinner I went over to Heather’s and hung out with her and Stephanie. This morning I have a little project that I’m working on for Jim so I’ll see if I can get that finished and then maybe some more work on the cabinets! πŸ˜€

I did get my card made for this week’s Paper Craft Crew challenge last night, this week we have some colors to work with…

I’m still appreciating the simpler cards lately and this one is definitely simple! I used my Mini MISTI to stamp the tree and a few of the layers of leaves from the Hero Arts Color Layering Fall Leaves Photopolymer Stamp Set in Cup O Joe, Just Rust, Lemon Yellow and Emerald Green onto a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The greeting is stamped in Just Rust under the tree. For a little more interest I added Pretty Pink Posh Copper, Lemon Yellow and Peacock Feather Sequins and a few Matte Copper ones too. I really do love the simplicity of this card, the colors reminded me of the trees in PA, turning but with a lot of green left! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Color Challenge! You can stop by the BLOG for more inspiration and then share your card with us in the gallery! Thank you so much for coming by today! Have a wonderful Wednesday! πŸ™‚

SIP Challenge 118 – Anything But a Card!

Hello!! I missed you guys! Pennsylvania was awesome! We had such a nice time at the lake and the weather was absolutely perfect! It was in the 80’s all weekend with lots of sun! I was very sad to leave yesterday to come home, so peaceful and serene there! Here is what my view was like for most of the time there…

Isn’t it just perfect?! Now it’s back to reality! I have a lot to catch up on today and hopefully it will all happen! I hope that you all enjoyed your weekends too!

It’s Tuesday and I have my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper challenge to share with you…

Anything but an A2 card! I of course love a tag so that’s what I made! The tag is cut from a piece of Solar White 80lb using the tag die from the Hero Arts June 2016 My Monthly Hero Kit. My sunflower and greeting are from the Hero Arts September My Monthly Hero Kit. I stamped the sunflower in Butter Bar, Pumpkin Pie, Just Rust and Cup O Joe using my Mini MISTI. The leaves are stamped in Green Hills and Forever Green and they are both cut out with the Coordinating Dies. I adhered the leaves to the tag with Dot Runner Adhesive and the sunflower with 3M Foam Tape. The greeting is stamped in Cup O Joe and I tied a piece of Hemptique Natural Hemp Cord through the top to finish it off. I love that tag die because it folds over so that you can write a nice little message inside! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team project for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! We hope to see your project in the gallery so head on over to the BLOG for some more inspiration! Thanks for coming back to check in with me after my little vacation! Freshly Made Sketches 306

Happy Friday! It’s a very happy one for me, I’m off to PA through Monday with Jim! We are going to do some repairs on the house and just relax and enjoy the fresh country air! The weather is supposed to be great, let’s hope that it stays that way! Yesterday I ran a few errands in the morning and then went to BJ’s with Heather. We had some pizza for lunch and then I came back home to see Daniel and Tristan. Jason and Erika came over and we all went out to dinner to celebrate my Parent’s 49th anniversary. I’ll be heading into Manhattan this morning to see my friends Jon and Mary. I’ll meet up with Kim for lunch and then head home. Since I will be away I won’t have any posts over the weekend or on Monday but I’ll be back on Tuesday morning with my Stamp, Ink, Paper Design Team card! πŸ˜€

Today I have my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge to share with you…

I started my card by trimming a piece of paper from the Concord & 9th Aloha Fill-In Patterned Paper Pack and adhering it to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My pineapple is from the Concord & 9th Pineapple Perfection Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Black Licorice. I filled in the flowers and leaves withΒ Lobster, Bubblegum, Grape Soda, Sunflower and Noble Fir and then used the Coordinating Die to cut it out. It’s adhered to the card with 3M Foam Tape. The greeting is from the same set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto a piece of Black 110lb and cut out with the banner die from the same set. I used more 3M Foam Tape to adhered it to the pineapple. That’s it! I do love that fun nice big pineapple, especially with the fill-in images! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches Challenge! Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a fun Friday and fabulous weekend! I’ll see you back here on Tuesday! πŸ™‚

Autumn Pumpkins on Kraft

A good Thursday morning to you! I had a productive day yesterday, got some computer stuff done in the morning and ran a few errands in the afternoon. Jim came by around 5:00 and we went for a four mile walk on the Bethpage Bike Trail. I always feel so good after a walk and so does he! We are going to try and make sure that we take one more often. A little Zorn’s for dinner and some TV before calling it a day. I think that I will try and work on the kitchen cabinets today, let’s see how that goes! πŸ˜€

I didn’t have a chance to make a card last night so I made one this morning. I used supplies from the Hero Arts September My Monthly Hero Kit, love that kit! The pumpkins are stamped in Tangerine, Orange Soda, Pumpkin Pie and Cop O Joe, the leaves in Green Hills and Moss, all using my Mini MISTI. They are cut out with the Coordinating Dies and put aside. Onto a piece of Desert Storm 80lb I added a little Moss Ink to the bottom with a Mini Ink Blending Tool and adhered it to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The images are adhered with E-Z Runner and 3M Foam Tape and the greeting is stamped in Moss. I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Moss, Pumpkin and Espresso Sequins and the card is done! I’m not a fan of the Fall weather but I do love the images and colors associated with the season! I hope that you like today’s card! Thanks for visiting! Have a terrific Thursday! πŸ™‚

Paper Craft Crew 260

What started out as a what am I going to do day yesterday got quite busy! I ended up driving into Manhattan with Heather yesterday to drop off a computer that I had worked on for my friend Isabella. We made it in in about an hour and a half even though it’s UN Week. It did take us 45 minutes to go the last two miles! We had a nice visit with Isabella, no where near long enough and we made it back home in about and hour. Before I dropped Heather off we had some Subway for lunch and then I came back home. The rest of the day was spent dealing with phone upgrades with AT&T which I can assure you is never fun! I’ll be getting some cleaning done today, good stuff! πŸ˜€

It’s Paper Craft Crew time and this week we have a sketch for you…

Another simple one! I started by stamping the leaf from the Concord & 9th Lace Leaf Photopolymer Stamp Set in Just Rust onto a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. Next I heat embossed one of the greetings from the set in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder onto a piece of 65lb Vellum and flagged the left side. To hold it to the card I adhered a strip of Desert Storm down the right side and tucked the vellum under it. A little strip of Gold Glitter Card is adhered near the top right of the greeting and some Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins to finish the card! I think that leaf is definitely my all time favorite and the greeting is a really nice one too! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see what the rest of the Team has come up with and enter your card in the gallery! Thanks for stopping by! Have a Wonderful Wednesday! πŸ™‚

SIP Challenge 117 – Watercolor!

A cloudy day but not too bad. We are to get some of the latest tropical storm later today and tomorrow. I got a lot done in the morning yesterday and even more in the afternoon! Heather and Taylor both stopped by and I decided that it was high time that I fixed the broken faucet in the kitchen so we went to the new Home Depot and picked one up. I have to say that changing a faucet is definitely not one of my favorite things to do, no room to work under the sink but I got it done in about 45 minutes! Last night Heather came back and we ran to Bead, Bath & Beyond. Today I have to find some things to do in the house again! πŸ˜€

I have the pleasure of sharing my Design Team card with you today for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper challenge…

I was definitely inspired by the graphic for this one! To begin I smooshed some Mermaid Lagoon onto a piece of Acetate and spritzed it with some water before adding it to a piece of Canson 140lb Watercolor Card. I repeated the same process with Wilted Violet and again with Mermaid Lagoon. Because I’m impatient I used my Heat Tool to speed up the drying! The flower and leaves are cut from Gold Mirror Card using The Ton Petal Cut Peonies Standalone Dies and are adhered to the panel with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. I added the panel to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My greeting is stamped in Onyx Black. It’s from the Mama Elephant Labeled Messages Photopolymer Stamp Set. I adhered it and some Pretty Pink Posh Amethyst, Sea Breeze, Gold and Ocean Spray Sequins with Multi-Matte Medium and the card is done. I love the delicate die cut and watercolor background with the unexpected “label” greeting! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! We hope that you will pay a visit to the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and share your masterpiece with us in the gallery! Thank you for coming by and have a great Tuesday! πŸ™‚

Paper Players 362

Another speedy weekend but it was a beautiful Summer like one here. It’s good that we had the nice weather because we are supposed to get a lot of rain this week which will put a damper on my kitchen plans, bummer. I had a nice relaxing day yesterday. I cleaned a little and did some laundry. There was a lot of TV time too. I’ll have to find some inside projects for today! πŸ˜€

I had sat down last night to make my card before I checked to see what this week’s Paper Players challenge was and as luck would have it, it works…

I’m loving the Hero Arts Autumn Icon Fancy Dies that were an add-ons to this month’s My Monthly Hero Kit. I used them to cut out someΒ So Saffron, Pear Pizzaz, Cajun Craze, Pumpkin Pie and Chocolate Chip. For the acorn I used Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive to adhere it to a piece of Crumb Cake and then cut around it with my scissors. To adhere them to the card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock I used Ultra Thin Glue Dots. All that was left to do was stamp my greeting from the Hero Arts Ribbon Greetings Stamp & Cut Photopolymer Stamp Set in Cup O Joe. I used basically the same goodies to make yesterday’s card. Love how you can get such a completely different look with the same products! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Players Challenge! Thank you for starting your week off here on the blog with me! Have the best Monday that you can! πŸ™‚
