Detailed Blooms Two Ways – Concord & 9th May Guest Designer

Yay for Friday! It was a pretty nice day here yesterday, sunny and warm enough for some shorts! I worked on a few things in the morning, took a quick ride to Target with Stephanie and then did some laundry. Another fun and exciting day! LOL! After dinner I watched Valentine’s Day, I know, a little late, but is it never too late for a little does of love! This morning I think I will go over to see Heather and get her to make me some breakfast, yup… that sounds like a good plan! 😀

Today I have my last set of cards to share with you as a Guest Designer for Concord & 9th. We are all featuring the Enjoy it All Stamps and Detailed Blooms Dies! Love them both and I have a few other examples of the sets HERE and HERE. You can see the sets below…

So without further ado lets get to today’s two cards! Up first is a nice simple one! I die cut the Detailed Blooms Die from some Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and used my Copics to color it in. It’s adhered to a card base of more Solar White 110lb with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. My greeting is from the Enjoy it All Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Black Licorice and the card is done! Super simple card but coloring in the die cut gives it some big impact!

My second card uses two of the Detailed Blooms Die Cuts and they are cut from Opal Curious Metallic Card Stock. I adhered them with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. Next up I used the Globe Greetings Dies to cut out a circle of Solar White 110lb. I stamped the greeting and the flowers from the Globe Greetings Photopolymer Stamp Set in Frayed Leaf, Forest Glades, Morning Frost, Evening Gray and Jet Black. The circle is then adhered to the card with 3m Foam Tape and I added some Sequins and Pearls to give it a little sparkle! I think this one would make a fun Wedding card, don’t you?!

I hope that you can see how versatile all of these products are from my cards today! I had a really great time Guest Designing for Concord & 9th this month and I hope that they will have me back again! Make sure that you stop by the BLOG and check out the other Guest Designer’s projects! Thank you so much for coming by to see what I’ve been up to! Have a fantastic Friday! 🙂

Paper Players 346

It was another day that started out gloomy and turned bright and sunny by the afternoon! I got lots accomplished too, made a few cards, made a bunch of thank you cards for a friend, ran to the Post Office and had dinner with my Parents. We did another Wine Wednesday this week. Heather, Steph and I were joined by Taylor for a little while. Always love to get see the child! This morning I have a lot of planning to do, staying focused is the key! LOL!

One of my cards that I made yesterday is for this week’s Paper Players challenge…

I played with some more of my Simon Stamps! To create my background I used the Simon Says Stamp Waves Stencil along with my Stencil Brush and some Lake Shores Ink. The corners are rounded with my Corner Chomper and the panel is adhered to a Black panel that is then adhered to my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I die cut the Echo Park Picture Wheel Die from more Black and adhered it to the card with 3M Foam Tape. The feathers, leaves and greeting are from the Simon Says Stamp Oh Happy Day Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the feathers in Teeny Bikini, the leaves in Jellybean and the greeting in Scuba. I used the Coordinating Happy Day Dies to cut them out. The leaves and feathers are adhered to each other, a piece of Hemptique Black Natural Hemp Twine is tied into a bow around the bottom and they are adhered to the picture wheel with E-Z Runner. For the greeting I used some more 3M Foam Tape. Just a few Recollections Enamel Dots complete the card! I still have a soft spot for some feathers and I love that picture wheel! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Paper Players Sketch Challenge! Thanks so much for visiting today! Have an amazing Thursday! 🙂

Paper Craft Crew 246

Happy mid-week already! It was another overcast day here. It didn’t rain until much later in the day but it was cloudy all day. I did a little crafting in the morning and then ran over to Sue’s to drop off some things. I went out to lunch with her and Michael, we had Panera, it’s been forever since I’ve had that! After I got home I watched a little TV and then ran a few errands. This morning I’m going to get crafty again and get some more projects out of the way! 😀

Just as an FYI I’m taking part in the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life this Saturday. I’m part of Meg’s team. My Brother lost his first wife to cancer, she was 29, and I lost one of my best friends, he was 25. We have all had cancer touch our lives in some way. Let’s help put an end to this terrible disease. If you can please click HERE to donate. Thank you!

Today I have my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge to share with you…

My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I adhered a piece of paper from the Recollections Valentine’s Day 6×6 Paper Pad to the base for my background. Across the lower half is a piece of Pink Pirouette that I cut out with the Simon Says Stamp XOXO Border Die. My heart is cut from a piece of Gold Mirror Card and two pieces of Solar White 110lb using the Simon Says Stamp Scribble Heart Die. I adhered them together and to the card with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. The greeting is from the Simon Says Stamp Birthday Flowers Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Schoolhouse Red and adhered to the card with 3M Foam Tape. Three Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins complete the card! Hearts and XOXO’s aren’t just for Valentine’s Day, they work great for a Birthday too! SIP Challenge 101 – Graduation!

Hello peeps! How was your Memorial Day? We had a rainy overcast day, not great for any outdoor activities! I spent the day doing some things around the house and then in the afternoon Jim stopped by for a visit! We watched a little TV and I got to see some pictures from the party over the weekend. I had dinner with my Parents and Taylor and then watched some TV. Today I’m going to get some crafty things done and then send out some emails. It’s going to be a busy productive day! 😀

So Tuesday huh?! That means that it’s time for a new Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge

Graduation! I don’t know anyone that is graduating so I decided to go with a more generic card! I started by stamping the cheers from the Hero Arts December 2016 My Monthly Hero Kit multiple times onto a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock using my MISTI and Hero Arts Sof Pink, Bubble Gum, Pale Tomato, Red Royal and Raspberry Jam Ink. The middle cheers is cut out with the Coordinating Die along with two more pieces of Solar White 110lb. I adhered them to each other and to the inside of the card with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. My second greeting is stamped in Red Royal on the inside under the die cut. To give the card a little sparkle I coated the die cut cheers with Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle Pen and added a few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins to the front! It’s a pretty simple card that gets a little step up from the die cut cheers! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Graduation Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and lets see yours in the gallery! Thanks for coming by today! Have a terrific Tuesday! 🙂

Mojo Monday 499

It was partly sunny here for most of the day yesterday which was nice! I went over to Neal and Stephanie’s for a BBQ with Kim, Brian, Heather and the kids. We had a really fun day, it was just like old times! After Heather came over by me for a bit and we watched some TV and discussed our little issues! Feels good to tell someone else about them! LOL! Today I’m going to see if I can get some crafting done, it’s to be rainy here… again! 😀

It is the start of a new week and time for a new Mojo Monday Sketch

My card today starts off with a base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the Concord & 9th Oh, Hello Turnabout Photopolymer Stamp with my MISIT and some Lawn Fawn Fish Tank, Merman, Peacock and Storm Cloud Ink to make my background. I trimmed it to 4 x 4 and adhered it to my card base. Across the middle is a piece of 27lb Capri Blue Vellum with the ends flagged. I used the Lawn Fawn Stitched Ovals Stackables Lawn Cuts to cut out a piece of Peacock, that is adhered to a piece of 48lb Vellum and that is then adhered to the card with 3M Foam Tape. I stamped one of the single greetings from the Stamp Set in Peacock, cut it out with my Scissors and adhered that to the card with more 3M Foam Tape. I’m still smitten with that awesome Oh, Hello Turnabout Stamp, it’s just so cool! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge! stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and lets see yours in the gallery! Thank you so much for starting another week off here with me! Have a marvelous Monday! 🙂

City on My Mind

Well what started out as a sunny morning yielded to clouds for the rest of the day. I did begin my day with some bagels with Heather and Stephanie which was nice. After that I came home and worked on some crafty projects and cleaned a little. The evening was spent on the couch with the TV and Taylor stopped by for a bit before I called it a night. More crafty things to work on today! Fun! 😀

We are continuing on with Simple Sunday! This card is super simple to make and would work with pretty much any cityscape dies that you have! I used the Poppy Stamps Downtown Urban Landscape Dies to cut the top part of a piece of Basic Gray. My greeting is from the Simon Says Stamp Flowers on My Mind Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in White Embossing Powder onto the bottom right of the buildings. I used a combo of E-Z Runner and Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive to adhered the buildings to the card along with three separate gold buildings that I cut from Gold Mirror Card using the companion Poppy Stamps Downtown Skyscrapers Dies. Some Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins complete the card! Like I said, super simple but I think it’s pretty neat! I hope that you enjoyed today’s Simple Sunday card! Thank you so much for visiting! Have a simple and fun Sunday! 🙂

Freshly Made Sketches 289

Happy Saturday! What was supposed to be a rainy day turned out to be a very lovely day! It was partly cloudy but a lot sunny! I got a few things done around the house in the morning and then went out with Michael for the afternoon. We went all over, Pizza for lunch, A.C. Moore, Old Navy, Kohl’s and finally Target. I took him back to Sue’s and then came home and had dinner with my Parents. Taylor stopped by briefly and then I had some TV time. I’m going to get some more things done around the house and this morning and then who knows what the rest of the day will bring?! 😀

My little bit of craftiness that I have to share with you today is for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches Challenge

The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I took a piece of paper from the DCWV Mariposa 12×12 Paper Pad and heat embossed my greeting from the Concord & 9th By Your Side Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder. The paper is then adhered to a piece of Island Indigo and then adhered to the card. I die cut the butterfly from a piece of Gold Glitter Card Stock using the Concord & 9th Floral & Flutter Dies. It’s adhered to the card with 3M Foam Tape. It needed a little something else so I took my Signo Gold Gel Pen and added some dots to the patterned paper. I love the nice subtle pattern on the paper and that butterfly is still one of my all time favorites! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches Challenge! Thanks so much for coming by today! Have a stupendous Saturday! 🙂

Dotty Thank You Two Ways – Concord & 9th May Guest Designer

Hello again! I’m back with my Guest Designer post for Concord & 9th with more inspiration for the May release! This week we are showcasing the Dotty Turnabout Stamp and the All About You Dies! Each week Jeanette, Vera and myself will be using the same products so you can see how versatile they are! 😀

I love when I can make a card and then use the “leftover” pieces to make a second one don’t you?! To start my cards I used my MISTI and the Dotty Turnabout Photopolymer Stamp with some Minty Fresh, Storm Cloud and Hero Arts Platinum Embossing Powder. For the first card I cut a piece of the stamped paper to 4 x 5 1/4 and used the All About You Dies to cut out the negative you from the paper. I also cut the you out from a piece of Black 110lb along with the the thank. To create the card I adhered a piece of Black 110lb to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The background is adhered to the card and the you and black outline are adhered back into the negative cut out. All that was left to do was to adhered the thank to the card with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive! Love the bold background and the way the block outline on the you separates it just enough to make it pop!

Since I had the opposite pieces left over from the first card I decided that I would make a second! I adhered the you and the outline to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive along with the thank. Next I used the additional stamps in the Dotty Turnabout Photopolymer Stamps to stamp the lined circles in Minty Fresh and Storm Cloud randomly around the greetings. A few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear and Pewter Sequins Finish the card! Waste not want not and I think I actually like this card even more than the first one!

I LOVE that Dotty Turnabout Stamp and the All About You Dies! So much fun to use! Again, how cool is it that you can make your own background paper in any color that you want?! I hope that you enjoyed my Guest Designer projects for the Concord & 9th Blog! Click here to go to the Concord & 9th post and see what the other Guest Designers have done! Fab Friday 113

A happy Friday to you from mushy, wet New York! It rained all day yesterday. I stayed indoors, cleaned a little, did some laundry and watched a lot of TV! Taylor came by in the evening and we ran to Target quick. It’s supposed to continue raining today so I will have to find some more indoor activities to keep myself busy! 😀

It’s one of those week’s where we have a new Fab Friday challenge for you…

I had some fun with the Dotty Turnabout Stamp again! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. For the background I used my MISTI and the Concord & 9th Dotty Turnabout Photopolymer Stamp. I stamped it three times, once in Grape Soda, once in Narwhal and then for the final one I heat embossed it in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder. Across the middle is a strip of 48lb Vellum and a some Gold Mirror Card with the ends flagged. My globe and greeting are from the Concord & 9th Globe Greetings Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the globe in Grape Soda and the greeting in Narwhal. To cut it out I used the Coordinating Die to cut out the globe and then I cut out another piece of Gold Mirror Card with the Hero Arts Infinity Circles Dies. The globe is adhered to the Gold circle and then to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. I just can’t get enough of that Dotty Turnabout Stamp, in fact I’ll be back in a little while with my Guest Designer Post for Concord & 9th with some more ways to use it! I hope that you like my Design Team card for the Fab Friday Sketch Challenge! Check out the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s projects and let’s see your’s in the gallery! Thank you for coming by this morning! See back here in a few! 🙂

Paper Players 345

It turned out to be another nice day, I’m sure that our luck will run out soon enough! I did get some crafting done, sent out a few packages and got to play with my little buddy Daniel. He rode his big wheel back and forth between my Parent’s house and mine, thinks he’s such a big boy! When he gets here he opens the door and walks right in! We all had dinner together and then I headed over to Heather’s for an early Thirsty Thursday with her and Steph. A nice day was had by me! 😀

The Paper Players have a fun challenge this week and so I’m sharing my card for it with you today…

I have had the Concord & 9th Butterfly Card Dies and I don’t think that I have used to make the interlocking card until now! I used Neenah Desert Storm 80lb Card Stock and die cut the card parts and then the wings. I scored and folded my card, which is a note card size and used the card dies to cut out some Pool Party to adhere behind the wings. My greeting is from the Concord & 9th Butterfly Beauty Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder onto another strip of Desert Storm and adhered to the card with 3M Foam Tape. I happened to have some Note Card size Kraft Envelopes so I stamped the small butterflies from the set in Soft Pool onto the front. Love that interlocking butterfly, such a fun and different kind of card! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Players challenge! Thank you very much for visiting with me! Have a terrific Thursday! 🙂
