Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th – Love!

Hello again! I’m back for my second post of the day! This time it’s for this month’s Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Challenge! February is pretty much the month of love right?! So let’s all make some love themed cards!

I started out making one card but didn’t waste to wast the leftover pieces so I made two! To begin I used the Concord & 9th Heartstrings Dies to cut out a piece of Gold Glitter Card Stock and a piece of Tropical Sea. I then created my card bases out of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. To stamp the heart I used the Concord & 9th Heart Smile Photopolymer Stamp Set, some Lawn Fawn Peacock Ink and my Mini MISTI so I would be able to stamp it multiple times to get a nice crisp impression. The arrow is added with Lawn Fawn Black Licorice along with the Love Greeting. I also stamped the little love heart in more Peacock on Solar White 80lb and heat embossed it in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder onto another piece of Tropical Teal. They are cut out with the little heart die from the Heartstrings Set. The gold outline heart is then adhered over the stamped one with 3D Foam Squares. For the second card I adhered the Teal die cut to a piece of Solar White 80lb that I cut out with just the outline of the Heartstrings Die. I then pieced all of the Gold Glitter Card Stock back in and adhered the heart to another card base stamped with one of the other greetings from the Set. They needed just a little more bling so I added some Pretty Pink Posh Sea Breeze and Gold Sequins! I love that Heartstrings Die, especially in the Gold with the Teal! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this month’s Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Love Theme Challenge! We hope to see you card in the gallery so stop by the BLOG and get some more inspiration from the rest of the Design Team! Thanks for coming by again today! Enjoy the rest of your Thursday! 🙂

OSAT February Blog Hop – All You Need is Love!

It was sooooooo nice out yesterday! We made it up to 62 degrees! I had to go out to the bank and I had the pleasure of having the top down in the car! In February! What?!?! Well, never fear, today we are to get up to 12 inches of snow! Insane weather! I would of course prefer to do a repeat of yesterday! I made sure thatI was nice and productive at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store, we are closed today. They have told everyone to make sure that if they don’t need to travel to stay home. I think that I will get some more organizing done today, it’s a good day to do it! 😀

For my projects today I’m participating in a blog hop with a bunch of my friends from one of the Facebook groups that I belong to. It’s called One Stamp at a Time Cards and More. If you have arrived here from the talented Jeanna Bohanon, welcome! This month we have a All You Need is Love theme! Ahh… who doesn’t like a little love?! I have a card and coordinating gift box for you today!

I used the same stamp set on both the card and the gift box. To create them I heat embossed the flowers and leaves from the Concord & 9th Hello Lovely Photopolymer Stamp Set in WOW! Rich Pale Gold Embossing Powder onto three pieces of Solar White 80lb, one so that I could cut out the large flowers. For the card I also stamped the greeting from the set in Hero Arts Wet Cement Ink. On the cut out flowers I added a little Prismacolor Colored Pencils to the petals. For the gift box I used the Lawn Fawn Pillow Box Lawn Cut to cut out the paper and adhered it together with Scor-Tape. I adhered the background for the card to a piece of Shale Card Stock and then to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The cut out flowers are adhered to the card and to the gift box with 3D Foam Squares. All that was left to do was to add a few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins and they are done! I love that Rich Pale Gold Embossing Powder and the flowers and leaves from the Hello Lovely Set look great left as is, colored in or stamped with the addition layers!

I hope that you enjoyed my card and gift box  for the OSAT All You Need is Love Blog Hop! You can click on the next button below to see what the talented Dena Rekow has come up with!! Thank you so much for stopping by to see me today. Have a thoroughly awesome Thursday! 🙂

Paper Craft Crew 230

We are to have some wacky weather here for the next two days! Today it’s going to be in the 60’s and tomorrow we are to get up to 10 inches of snow! Mother Nature needs to get it together! LOL! I did had a very productive day at the Store yesterday! My friend Sue came by and we got so much accomplished! We moved things around and cataloged a bunch of stuff. We also got to FaceTime with Michael and met his newest dog, she’s so cute. After work I had dinner and then came home and did a little more organizing and some relaxing! Today, maybe I will get to drive to work with the top down and tomorrow I probably won’t be able to get to work! Crazy! 😀

Midweek and time for a new Paper Craft Crew challenge…

It’s that Love time of year! Hope you aren’t sick of all of the love on the blog! LOL! I wanted to use the die cut that I had left over from the card that I made the other day, you can see it HERE. My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I stamped the Hero Arts Alphabet Soup Bold Prints Background in Soft Pink onto a piece of Solar white 80lb. Next I took some more Soft Pink Ink and added it to the back of a piece of 48lb Vellum, using my Heat Tool to dry it in between layers and then cut it out with the Hero Arts Nesting Infinity Hearts Dies. I adhered the love die cut with Multi-Matte Medium to the Vellum heart and then added some more behind the letters to adhere it to the stamped background panel. The left side is trimmed off. A piece of American Crafts Gold Glitter Tape is adhered down the left side of the card base and then the panel is adhered to card with E-Z Runner and Fun Foam. For a little extra sparkle I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins and the card is done! I really like the love die cut stamped with the flowers and the soft pink heart is neat! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Theme Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thank you for stopping by! Have a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂

SIP Challenge 85 – Love!

What a nice Monday that turned out to be! The weather was pleasant, it won’t be later in the week, and the Store was busy! Renee had her Christmas Card Club Class and there were some new ladies in it! A very funny and group indeed! I got some projects completed and still have a ton more to do! After work I had dinner with my Parents and then came home and continued the purge! Feels so good to get rid of things and have less clutter! Can’t wait to do some more tonight! Renee is off from the Store today and my friend Sue will be coming by to spend some time with me! 😀

Tuesday and we have a new Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge for you…

Ahh… love! And just in time for Valentine’s Day! I have been a little obsessed with stamped backgrounds lately and today I have another one! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the front covered in a piece of Black. To create my background I used the Altenew Painted Flowers Photopolymer Stamp Set. The flowers are stamped in Jet Back, Soft Lilac, Lavender Fields and Deep Iris and the leaves in Frayed Leaf Crisp Inks. I trimmed the panel to 5 1/4 by 4. My greeting is from the Altenew Super Script 2 Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder along with the hearts from the set onto a piece of 48lb Vellum. I cut the bottom at an angle and folded the top over the stamped background, the whole thing is adhered with E-Z Runner. Just a few Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins finish the card! I really love that Painted Flowers Set, it’s one of the more forgiving layering sets and I think it creates a very nice background! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Love Challenge! Take a minute to go over to the BLOG and see the rest of the Design Team’s creations and enter yours in the gallery to share with us! Thank you so much for stopping by today! Mojo Monday 483

Well, my Sunday didn’t start off as planned, I woke up at 6:00am with a massive headache, I text Renee to tell her I would be late, took Excedrin and went back to bed. Thankfully when I finally woke up around noon it had gone. I had to make the dip for the Super Bowl Party so I went over to Heather’s and did that. We picked up Stephanie and drove out to Islip for the party. We had a great time and the people that hosted it were really nice! I got to spend some time with my peeps and I enjoyed the Half-Time Show! Today I have lots to catch up on at the Store. One day not being there isn’t a good thing! 😀

The one thing that I really like about Monday’s is the fact that it’s time for a new Mojo Monday sketch…

I had the flower for today’s card sitting on my desk so I decided that it needed to get used! For the card base I used a piece of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and covered the front with a piece of Slate. To create my background I stamped the flower outline from the Altenew Beautiful Day Photopolymer Stamp Set in Evening Gray Crisp Ink onto a piece of Solar White 80lb. Next I heat embossed the leaf outline in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto another piece of Slate. Across the lower half of the card is a piece of American Crafts Silver Glitter Card. The flower and leaves are from the same set and are stamped in Blush, Rouge, Crimson, Velvet, Frayed Leaf, Forest Glades and Evergreen Crisp Ink. I used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out and adhered them with E-Z Runner and 3D Foam Squares. My greeting is also from the Beautiful Day Set and is heat embossed in more White onto a piece of 48lb Vellum. I used a strip of Rose Chintz with a thin strip of the Silver Glitter Card and some more 3D Foam Squares to hold down the vellum. I love the way the grays really let the flower stand out on the card! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thank you so much for starting another week off with me! Have an amazing Monday! 🙂

Sending You Flowers

Happy Super Bowl Sunday! I’m in it for the commercials and the Half-Time show! LOL! I had a fun day at the Store! Taylor came by to visit and so did Heather! Heather brought Starbucks with her, bonus points! I made a few cards and got some other things done too, a very productive day! After work I had Chinese with my Parents and then came home and cleaned out my bedroom closet. Can’t take all of the clutter any longer, everything must go! Today Renee has a Super Bowl Crop and I have a party to go to later with Heather. Should be a fun day! 😀

Before I get to today’s post one of our blog friends Ann left in the comments yesterday that her sister works in hospice care and one of the residents is turning 104!! She asked that if anyone has time if they could send a card to wish Miss Irene a Happy Birthday! Lets see how many cards we can get to her! You can send the cards to:

Karen Powell
13 Branch Street
Suite 100
Methuen, MA 01844

Thanks in advance!!

I have a fun sort of single layer card to share with you today. I took a piece of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card stock and cut it to 4 1/4 x 11 and scored it at 5 1/2. I made a few masks and then stamped the flowers and leaves from the Hero Arts For You Flowers Color Layering Photopolymer Stamp Set in Soft Pink, Bubble Gum, Ultra Pink and Lime Green on the card front. I skipped the second layer on the leaves. After that was finished I die cut the love from the Hero Arts Love Stamp & Cut Set from the card front. The card was placed into my Mini MISTI and I lined up the love stamp, opened the card and stamped it in Intense Black three times to get a nice crisp impression on the inside of the card. The centers of the o and e are glued to the inside of the card with my Quickie Glue Pen. I added the rest of the greeting to the front and one to the inside with more Intense Black. All that was left to do was to adhere a few Pretty Pink Posh Clear Droplets with some Multi-Matte Medium and the card is finished! I really “love” the negative die cut card front and then the inside of the card! Looks complicated but was actually really simple and fun! I hope that you enjoyed today’s card! Thanks for spending some of your Sunday with me and enjoy the game! (or commercials and half-time! LOL!) 🙂

Freshly Made Sketches 273

Hello my friends! It’s getting chilly here again, guess Winter is back for a little while. The Store was a good time yesterday, projects were worked on, Angie was in and Marianne came by to work on her Home Decor Projects. After work I stopped and saw Heather for a bit and then came home, had some dinner and listened to some music. Jim stopped by and so did Heather. What a nice way to end a Friday! I have a lot more projects to get finished up at the Store today, as always, so much fun! 😀

My card that I have to share with you is SUPER Clean and Simple and it’s for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge…

To start the card I stamped the celebrate from the Altenew Super Script Photopolymer Stamp Set in Sapphire, Persian Blue and Caribbean Sky Crisp Ink using my Mini MISTI so I could double stamp them to get a nice crisp image. The three are then cut out with the Coordinating Dies. I lined them up on a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and stamped the happy birthday from the same set in Sapphire. The lightest one is adhered to the card with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive and the other two with 3D Foam Squares. I was going to add a few sequins but decided that I liked it just the way it is! I hope that you like my Clean and Simple card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge! I thank you for coming by and visiting today! Have a super Saturday! 🙂

Fab Friday 105

Yay! It’s Friday! We had a busy week at the Stores. Today was Home Decor Project make up day and I had my Make-n-Take. There was also an impromptu Cricut class, I now have taught myself how to use one! LOL! When I got home I had a little dinner with the Parent’s and then watched some TV. Today, projects as always! Wouldn’t have it any other way! 😀

It’s a double good Friday because it’s time for another Fab Friday challenge…

I have been on a little bit of a Spring /Summer kick lately I know, but I can’t wait for the Winter to be over! The base for today’s card is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the front covered in a piece of Bo Bunny Double Dot paper that I found while rummaging through one of Renee’s paper bins. I also cut a piece with the Lawn Fawn Grassy Border Lawn Cut and adhered it across the bottom with some 3D Foam Squares. Next up I used Mustard Seed, Ripe Persimmon and Spiced Marmalade and my Mini Ink Blending Tool to add color to a piece of Tim Holtz Watercolor Card. It’s cut out with the Hero Arts Infinity Circles Dies with the right side trimmed off before being adhered to the card with E-Z Runner. The flamingo is from the Hero Arts Color Layering Flamingo Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Soft Pink, Bubble Gum, Ultra Pink, Pale Tomato, White Dye and Intense Black using my Mini MISTI. I adhered him to the card with more 3D Foam Squares. The greeting is from the same set and is stamped in Intense Black with the right side cut at an angle. I added a piece of Black and then adhered the greeting to the card with still more 3D Foam Squares. All that was left to do was to add some Pretty Pink Posh Ballerina Pink and Holiday Shimmer Mix Sequins and the card is finished! I love the nice bold green with the bright yellow and orange behind the bright pink of the flamingo! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for the Fab Friday Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thank you for coming by to see me today! Have a fabulous Friday! 🙂

Paper Players 329

The sun really made an effort to stay out yesterday! All in all it was a nice day especially at the Store. Renee and I worked on projects, I got another two cards made including one for next week’s Make-n-Take! I stopped by my Parent’s after work to retrieve Winston and then came home and waited for my friend Danielle to come by. We talked for hours and got all caught up and then headed out to have Five Guys for dinner. After that a quick stop at Starbucks and then more talk! It was so great to get all caught up! I miss her so much! We are going to make an effort to make sure that we get together more often. Today, more projects and orders! 😀

One of my crafty sessions yesterday produced my card for this week’s Paper Players challenge! But before we get to this week’s I want to thank Sandy for choosing me as her Cut Above for last week’s challenge! You can see the winner’s post HERE and my original post HERE! Now for this week’s sketch…

As soon as I saw the sketch the card took shape in my little brain! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. For my background I stamped the Hero Arts Forest Floor Bold Prints Background in Hero Arts White Dye Ink onto a piece of Kraft. Across the bottom is a piece of American Crafts Silver Glitter Card Stock. The greeting is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder. That along with the flowers and leaves are from the Hero Arts You’re So Lovely Photopolymer Stamp Set. The flowers are heat embossed in Hero Arts White Satin Pearl Embossing Powder and the leaves in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder, both onto 48lb Vellum. I used the Coordinating Frame Cuts to cut them out and adhered the flowers to the card with Kool-Tak Clear Foam Tape and the leaves with Dot Runner Adhesive. A little sprinkling of Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins and the card is done! I love the flowers embossed on the Vellum and the subtle background! I think this would make a perfect card for a Wedding! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Players Sketch Challenge! Thank you for your visit today! Have an incredible Thursday! 🙂

Paper Craft Crew 229

Happy Hump Day! We had the snow promised yesterday but thankfully it didn’t amount to much, at least not on the roads. It snowed on and off most of the day. Renee and I were nice and snug inside the Store. People stopped by to for Renee’s All Occasions Class and we had three new ladies! One of them is a stamper! Yay! Jean came by and hung out with us for a while too, she is one funny lady! I worked on some cards and actually got three made. After work I headed over to have dinner with Sue and drop of some My Favorite Things goodies. From there I came back home and spent some time with my friend Jim. It’s so nice to just sit and chat sometimes! Tonight Danielle is supposed to come by! I haven’t seen her is way too long, can’t wait! 😀

One of the cards that I made yesterday is for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge

For the card base I used some Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock, my background is a piece of Kraft. I stamped the heart and mugs from the Concord & 9th Cozy Up Photopolymer Stamp Set in Lawn Fawn Black Licorice Ink and then cut them out with the Coordinating Dies. I also stamped some of the single wood rings on the card front in Lawn Fawn Lobster Ink. The heart is adhered to the card with Tombo Dot Runner Adhesive. My greeting is cut from a piece of American Crafts Black Glitter Card Stock. I adhered the mugs to a strip of Vellum with 3D Foam Squares and then added a strip of Chinese Red behind it and cut the right side at an angle. Some more 3D Foam Squares adhere the vellum to the card and a little Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive holds the greeting to the Vellum. Just a few Pretty Pink Posh Raspberry Sequins and the card is done! I love stretching my stamps and think that this would make a great masculine Valentine’s Card! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team Card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thank you so much for visiting with me today! Have a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂
