Paper Players 318

Remember when I said yesterday that I was going to be one tired boy today… I was right! LOL! I didn’t get much accomplished at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store. Renee and I had our friend Evelyn stop by to work on a project and Taylor came by to see me again. After work I came home and waited for my Parent’s to get back from the closing on my Grandmother’s house in Pennsylvania. We had dinner and then I came home and watched TV. I was too tired to do anything else! Today I feel much better and will continue to work on getting some more projects finished. 😀

Thankfully I worked ahead and have a card to share with you today that is for this week’s Paper Player Sketch Challenge

paper-players-318

My card base is Ivory 110lb Card stock. I took a piece of Shale and inked the edges with some Hero Arts Navy Ink and a mini Ink Blending Tool. Down the right is a piece of Authentique Strong Collection 12×12 Paper. My little buildings are from the Hero Arts Kelly’s It’s Christmas Time Photopolymer Stamp Set. I heat embossed it with Hero Arts Platinum Embossing Powder onto a piece of Navy that I cut out with the Lawn Fawn Dotted Circles Stackables Lawn Cuts. It’s adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. I stamped my greeting from the Hero Arts Kelly’s Warm & Cozy Photopolymer Stamp Set in Navy, flagged the ends and inked the edges. It too is adhered to the circle with more Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. To complete the card it just needed some sparkle so I added a few Little Things by Lucy Nautical Mix Sequins and Rhinestones! And to think that this card all started because I wanted to use the Crossword Paper! I also happen to love that little set of buildings! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Players Sketch Challenge! I appreciate you coming by today! Have an amazing Thursday! 🙂

Paper Craft Crew 216

I had an extra fun day yesterday! The Stamp, Ink, Paper Store was busy with Renee’s Home Decor projects being made. I got see my friend Michelle who stopped in to get a few things. Taylor also came up and had lunch with me, it’s nice to see her awake! LOL! I got a call from my friend Sue telling me that she had an extra ticket for the Carrie Underwood Concert at Madison Square Garden and did I want to go?! Of course I did. I left the Store at 3:30 and stopped by my Parent’s and guess who was there? My little buddy Daniel! I played with him for a bit. We palyed solitaire on hiPad and he made a new game where as soon as he found the Aces the game was finished and he started a new one! We finished with that and I gave hime lots of love and headed over to meet Sue. We got the train into Manhattan, we met her daughter Sharon on the train, and had a slice of Penn Station Pizza before heading up to get to our seats. Easton Corbin opened and I like him! Carrie Underwood was fantastic! She puts on a great show! The stage was in the round so you get to see all of the show! Here are a few pictures…

Today I have my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge…

pcccs216-dt-sketch-10-25-2016

The card base for today is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. Down the left side is a piece of Echo Park This & That 12×12 Paper. My background is a piece of Solar White 80lb and I stamped the snow flurry from the Hero Arts Vintage Wishes Stamp & Die Combo in Soft Granite and the snowflakes in Charcoal. Down the left side is a piece of American Crafts Black Glitter Card Stock and the greeting is stamped in Hero Arts Intense Black. I then used E-Z Runner and Fun Foam to adhere the panel to the card base. The circle is cut from a piece of Silver Glitter Paper with the Lawn Fawn Dotted Circles Stackables Lawn Cuts and adhered to a piece of Solar White 110lb to make it a little more sturdy. I adhered the circle to the card with more E-Z Runner. My two trees and snowman are from the same set with the snowman stamped in Intense Black and the trees in Forever Green. I used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out and then adhered them to the circle with 3D Foam Squares. A little sprinkling of Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins finishes off the card! I love that Winter Scene Stamp Set, so many fun images and for me to use only one set it must a good one! LOL! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! SIP Challenge 71 – Colors!

Made it though another Monday! The Stamp, Ink, Paper Store was fun as always! Renee worked on her home decor projects and Jean stopped by for a visit. I managed to make a card and get the Concord & 9th entered in. After work I came home and relaxed for a bit before going out to dinner with a friend to Friday’s. On the way home I stopped at Target to pick up a few things and then watched a little TV before bed. Today Renee has her Home Decor Class and I have to get started on a bunch of projects for my upcoming classes. Always something to make! 😀

Tuesday and it’s time for a new Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! This week we have some colors…

sip-color-challenge-71-800

My card base today is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used another piece to stamp my greeting and flower from the Concord & 9th Happy Words Photopolymer Stamp Set. The flower is stamped in Rust and the greeting in Mint Julep and Pumpkin Pie. I used the Concord & 9th Happy Card Frame Dies to cut out the flower from Gold Mirror Card and adhered it to the panel with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. A few Pretty Pink Posh Gold, Metallic Copper and Fresh Mint Sequins and the card is done! I love those Happy Card Frame Dies and the way that the die cut fits over the flower perfectly! A super simple card thanks to a cool stamp and die set! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team Card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! Head on over to the BLOG and check out the rest of the Design Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! We can’t wait to see what you come up with! Thank you very much for coming by! Mojo Monday 471

Another quick weekend come and gone! It was nice and sunny here yesterday but still cold. I know nothing I can do about that! Renee had her explosion book class at the store and I worked on getting ahead for the week! I made parts for three cards! After work I came home and had dinner with my Parent’s and Taylor. She came back to my house and spent a little time with me… sleeping on the couch! Always good to have a visit with the child. I spent some time in the Stampin’ Galley finishing up the cards that I was working on and also finished the one that I started on Saturday night that I didn’t like. After that I watched Star Wars – The Force Awakens. Today is Newsletter day for me at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store. It didn’t happen yesterday! I’m also getting a replenishment from Concord & 9th! My favorite stamp company! 😀

It’s the start of a new week and I’m over on the Mojo Monday blog for this week’s sketch challenge…

mojo471

Today’s card is nice and masculine and would work for a birthday or even a thank you! The card base is Ivory 110lb Card Stock. I used the Lawn Fawn Dotted Rectangles Stackables Lawn Cuts to cut a piece of Shale to cover the entire front of the card. Next I heat embossed the Stampers Anonymous Ledger Script Stamp in Versa-Mark and heat embossed it in Hero Arts Brass Embossing Powder onto a piece of Battleship Gray. I used the Crate Paper Maggie Holmes Open Book Dies and the Lawn Fawn Dotted Circles Stackables Lawn Cuts to cut out two pieces. I ran the circle through my Artisan X-plorer again with the Large Dotted Rectangles and adhered it to the card in the lower left corner. The main panel is another piece of Ivory 110lb cut out with the Lawn Fawn Dotted Squares Stackables Lawn Cuts. My greeting is from the Concord & 9th Brushed Blossom Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Altenew Moon Rock Crisp Ink. The panel is then adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner and the deer head to the panel with Black 3D Foam Squares. In the upper right is another piece of Battleship Gray with the bottom flagged. I die cut the star from the Concord & 9th Happy Card Frames Dies from more Ivory 110lb and heat embossed them a few times with more Brass Embossing Powder. They are adhered with more 3D Foam Squares and Multi-Matte Medium. I always forget that I have that Ledger Script Stamp, I love text stamps and that one looks so neat heat embossed! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge! Take a quick trip over the the Design Team BLOG and check out the rest of the cards there for inspiration! We hope to see yours in the gallery! Thanks for starting your week off with me here on my blog! Have an amazing Monday! 🙂

Silver Snow Holidays

It was chilly and rainy here for most of the day yesterday. I was glad to be at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store, Renee had her no-frills crop! I had a little mini Card Class with Elyse, Nancy and Barbara and that was a lot of fun! A few orders had to be entered into the system since the register was down for most of the day yesterday. After work I had some Chinese food for dinner with my Parents. When I got home I made the mistake of turning on the TV and got sucked into Gods of Egypt. It was actually a pretty good movie! Today I want to get my newsletter done and then I need to clean up the house a bit when I get home! Fun Sunday stuff!

I had started working on a collage card at some point last night and then decided that I didn’t like it! So I made this one instead! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb and I covered the front in a piece of Lawn Fawn Bluejay that I cut out with the largest Stitched Rectangles Stackables Lawn Cuts. The Snowflakes are cut from Galvanized Curious Metallic using the Lawn Fawn Stitched Snowflakes Lawn Cuts. I adhered them from upper left to lower Right with Multi-Matte Medium. A circle is cut out from some 48lb Vellum with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Circles Stackables. I heat embossed the greeting from the Lawn Fawn Love You a Latte Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts Silver Embossing Powder. The coffee cup is from the same set and I used Copics to color it in and the Coordinating Dies to cut it out. It’s adhered to the card with Foam Tape. A large snowflake is adhered to the back of the Vellum and then the circle is adhered to the card with more Foam Tape. For a healthy dose of Sparkle I added Little Thing by Lucy Nautical Sparkle Sequin Mix and a few Rhinestones. You know how I love a non-traditional Holiday card and this one definitely fits the bill! I hope that you like today’s card! I thank you for stopping by and I wish you all a very nice Sunday! 🙂

Beautiful Peach Birthday

I got my haircut yesterday morning before heading over to the store. I always feel better after a haircut. Maybe it’s because Jessica makes my hair look good and I can never get it to look like she does! When I got to the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store I started to enter some of the new things that I had gotten in and Shopify stopped working! It was a result of the DD0S attacks that were happening. So much fun! It was out for most of the day. Hopefully it will be back up today. Last night’s Card Class was great! I got to see my friends Marissa and Danielle! Daniel and I were at the store late catching up. I hate that I only get to see her once a month. We are going to make a better effort to see each other more often. Today I have three more peeps for Card Class and then some projects to get finished! Should be another fun day!

I had some left over pieces from a card that I made the other day and decided that I would use them to make another card and that’s what I have for you today! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. For the background I used a piece of Bo Bunny Soiree 12×12 Paper. I stamped my greeting from the Altenew Painted Greetings Photopolymer Stamp Set in Moon Rock Crisp Ink and adhered it to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. My flower and leaves are from the Altenew Beautiful Day Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the flower in Peach Perfect Crisp Ink for the first three layers and then heat embossed the outside layer and leaves in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder. They are adhered to the card with Dot Runner Adhesive and 3D Foam Squares. Across the bottom is a piece of American Crafts Gold Glitter Tape and around the flower is a sprinkling of Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear and Gold Sequins. The Beautiful Day Set is definitely my all time favorite floral set! I use it enough… right?! I hope that you like my card for today! Thank you for coming by! Have a fun Saturday! 🙂

Freshly Made Sketches 259

They first day of the October Card Class at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store was a good time as it always is! We had a lot of laughs at the night class with Andrew, Kayleigh, Melissa, Victoria and Jan! This month’s class is Lawn Fawn so it was a long one. I love when they can just sit there and color and take their time! We got out around 10:00 and I headed over to George’s house for Thirsty Thursday with Heather and Stephanie. Geroge is in Nashville so we had a little change of venue! I do love our little trio! This morning I have a haircut and then the second day of class! More fun times! It’s also my crafty friend Sandy’s Birthday! Happy Birthday Sandy!! 😀

I did manage to make two cards yesterday and one of them is for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge…

freshly-made-sketches-259

Today’s card starts off with a base of Ivory 110lb Card Stock. I stamped the birch trees using the Concord & 9th Tree Hugs Photopolymer Stamp Set in Vintage Sepia. Across the top are two strips of Gold Mirror Card. My heart is from the Concord & 9th Cozy Up Photopolymer Stamp Set. I heat embossed it in Hero Arts Clear Embossing Powder onto a piece of Dark Molasses and then rubbed some Unicorn White Pigment Ink over it. To cut it out I used the Coordinating Dies and adhered it to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. My greeting is cut from more Gold Mirror Card and three piece of Ivory 110lb using the Concord & 9th JOY Die. I adhered them to each other and to the card with Multi-Matte Medium. A little sprinkling of Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear and Gold Sequins completes the card! I’m really into the woodgrain again lately and Concord & 9th has some of the best stamps out there for my little addiction! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge! Thank you so much for visiting with me today! Have a fantastic Friday! 🙂

Paper Players 317

Oh boy did I have a nice day yesterday! Apart from getting up at 5:30! I haven’t been up that early in a really long time! I made sure that I took the 7:01AM train from Bethpage, it’s starts the station before so you are guaranteed a seat! I saw my friend Pat on the platform which was a nice surprise! By the time I got up to 77th Street I still had about 40 minutes before I had to meet Ella so I placed a mobile order at the Starbucks on 78th and sat down and enjoyed the city for a bit. I was an absolutely glorious day, high of 84 and lovely and sunny! Ella and I got all of the things accomplished on her list and a few extras. After I left Ella I met my friend Patrice on 77th. She had wanted a stamp set from the store and to borrow one of mine. It was so nice to see her, she is such a wonderful person, funny and always smiling! I just made it back to Penn Station in time for my train out to Lindenhurst. Sue picked me up at the station at 1:16 and we stopped at Taco Bell so I could get some quick food. When we got to the store Jean was waiting so I could make her a custom stamp. Once that was finished Sue and I set out to get the cutting done for class. Before heading back over to my house we stopped at Bed, Bath & Beyond so I could get a new Keurig! LOL! I needs my coffee!! Sue’s husband Joe met us for dinner and then Sue and I came back to my house for a bit. I’m not gonna lie, I was really tired last night and even went to bed early! Today is the first day of the Lawn Fawn Card Class at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store! Fun, fun, fun!

Thankfully I had planned ahead and made today’s card for this week’s Paper Players challenge on Tuesday! Before we get to this week I want to say a big thank you to Joanne for choosing me as a her Cut Above in last week’s challenge! You can see the winner’s post HERE and my original post HERE! Now on to this week, a Clean and Simple Leaf from Nance….

paper-players-317

My card is pretty clean, maybe not that simple! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. For the background I heat embossed the Concord & 9th Barnwood Background Photopolymer Stamp onto some Slate with Hero Arts White Embossing Powder. It’s cut to 4″ x 5 1/2″ so that little bit of white peeks out from either side. The leaves are die cut from Solar White 110lb using the Concord & 9th Layering Leaves Dies. I heat embossed each one three times with Hero Arts Gold, Platinum, Brass, Silver and Copper Embossing Powder. They are adhered to the card with Dot Runner Adhesive. A strip of Battleship Gray has the thanks from the Concord & 9th Give Thanks Photopolymer Stamp Set heat embossed in more Hero Arts White and it’s adhered over the top of the leaves to the card with Fun Foam and Tombo Extreme Adhesive. A little scattering of some Little Things by Lucy Sequins completes the card! I have said it before and I’ll say it again, that Barnwood Background Stamp is my favorite woodgrain stamp and I clearly love the Layering Leaves Dies and the Give Thanks Stamps, I think I have used them more than any other set I own! I hope that you enjoy my card for this week’s Paper Players challenge from Nance! Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a simply wonderful Thursday! 🙂

Paper Craft Crew 215

As planned I did have a very productive day at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store yesterday! Despite the fact that I had to keep going outside to experience the gorgeous “Summer like” weather! It was in the 80’s! Yes please! I managed to get two cards made and get a host of administrative things accomplished! Taylor stopped by with her friend Marissa again and they kept me company for a while. After work I had a little stew that my Mum had made for me and finished my laundry. Then it was home to find out the my Keurig died! Ugh! I love my Ninja Coffee Bar but when I want a quick cup I still like the Keurig. I made myself an Americano in the Nespresso instead and that was delicious! Think I have enough coffee makers?! This morning I’m running into Manhattan to help my friend Ella with a few things and then Sue is going to pick me up by the train station near the store and help me cut for class! Busy day!

After a week hiatus the Paper Craft Crew challenge is back this week with a theme…

pcccs215-dt-sketch-10-19-2016

The card base for today’s card is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My background is a piece of Kaisercraft Mademoiselle Collection 12×12 Paper. Down the left side is a strip of American Crafts Gold Glitter Tape. My coffee cup is from the Hero Arts Coffee Cup Stamp & Die Combo and is stamped in Hero Arts Vintage Metallic Rust Ombre Ink. The whipped cream is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Puff Embossing Powder and the sleeve stamped in Cup O Joe with the greeting heat embossed in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder. My leaves are from the Hero Arts Grateful Leaves Stamp & Die Combo (it really is one of my faves!), the leaves are stamped in the Ombre Ink with the veins heat embossed in Gold. I used the Coordinating Dies to cut out all of the images. A piece of May Arts Natural Twine is tied in a bow toward the top of the cup and I used a combination of Fun Foam, E-Z Runner and Thin 3D Foam Squares to adhere it to a tag that I cut out from a piece of Kraft using the Hero Arts Infinity Tags Dies. The reinforcement is cut from some Chinese Red and another piece of May Arts Natural Twine is tied through the hole. More Fun Foam and E-Z Runner adhere the tag to the card. I added a little Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush Pen to the whipped cream and a few Pretty Pink Posh Gold and Sparkling Clear Sequins complete the card! I really do enjoy that Grateful Leaves Set don’t I?! Almost as much as I love the Ombre Inks! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Theme Challenge! Stop by the BLOG to check out the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thank you very much for coming by today! Have an awesome Wednesday! 🙂

SIP Challenge 70 – Tic-Tac-Toe!

It was so nice to have an actual day off yesterday, too bad it was to say goodbye to Heather’s Dad. The church service and the service at the cemetery were very sweet and thoughtful. After, all of us went to a restaurant called Paddy’s Loft. Heather’s Brother Scott spoke of their Dad and it was great to hear his memories. We all had good time and remembered him for the wonderful person that he was. In the end it was not sad but rather a lovely day dedicated to his memory. I was unusually tired when I got home and after I had dinner and FaceTimed with Andrea for a bit I took a two hour nap! Not like me at all! It did feel good but that resulted in me staying up much later than I wanted to! Today I’m flying solo at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store, Renee has the day off. I’m going to make it a very productive day!

It’s Tuesday and that means that we have a new Stamp, Ink, Paper challenge for you…

sip-any-tic-tac-toe-70-800

I went diagonally from top left to bottom right! This card was sort of an evolution, more on that in a bit! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the front covered in a piece of Dark Molasses. My piece of patterned paper is from the Authentique Fresh Collection 12×12 and the greeting from the Hero Arts Grateful Leaves Stamp & Die Combo is heat embossed in Hero Arts Copper Embossing Powder. I die cut the Hero Arts Branch Wreath Fancy Die from some Gold Mirror Card and adhered it to the card with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. The leaves are also from the Hero Arts Grateful Leaves Stamp & Die Combo and are stamped in Hero Arts Vintage Metallic Ombre Ink. I heat set the ink, because I have no patience to let it dry (LOL) and then heat embossed the veins in more Hero Arts Copper Embossing Powder. They are adhered to the card with 3D Foam Squares. A piece of May Arts Natural Twine is tied in a multiple bow and adhered to the leaves with a Glue Dot and the card is finished. Or so I thought, the more I looked at it the more I felt it needed something more. So I used the Hero Arts Cardinal Stamp & Die Combo and some Wet Cement, Forever Green, Red Raspberry and Black Ink to make a female Cardinal. I Googled to see what they looked like because I didn’t want a red Cardinal and I think I got pretty close. Her is a picture for reference…

female-cardinal

I cut her out with the Coordinating Frame Cut and adhered her to the card with more 3D Foam Squares. Some Black Gelly Roll Pen and Signo White Gel Pen is added to the eye for a little extra detail and a few Pretty Pink Posh Raspberry, Rose Gold and Gold Sequins for some sparkle and the card is finished! I think that the female Cardinal is just as pretty as the male in her own way and the card definitely feels more finished with her added! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! Head on over to the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thank you very much for sharing in a little of my Tuesday! Have a terrific day! 🙂
