Feature Friday for Concord & 9th – Grateful for Everything!

Happy last Friday of August to you all! I can’t believe that the Summer is almost over! It went so fast. I had a very nice week that I spent at Jim’s house in Pennsylvania. The weather was perfect, no rain and nice and warm. I even went in the lake! We also made two headboards from palette wood. I love the way that they came out! You’ll have to let me know what you think!

I think they add a nice rustic look that’s perfect for a lake house! I came home last night and didn’t hit any traffic until I got to the George Washington Bridge. There is always so much traffic in New York, even at 9:00PM! ๐Ÿ˜€

It’s time for our last Feature Friday post for Concord & 9th’s August release. Today we are featuring the Grateful for Everything Stamps and Dies! A beautiful floral spray that is slightly larger than an A2 card.

I felt like using my colored pencils to do a little coloring so I stamped the floral image from the Grateful for Everything Photopolymer Stamp Set in Black Licorice onto a piece of Kraft. Once I had finished my coloring I used the Coordinating Die to cut it out.

My greeting is cut from a piece of Black 110lb and adhered to a card base of Kraft Card Stock with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. The floral image is added and I used my Scissors to trim off the overhang and the card is done! Nice and simple, you could stamp a few of the floral images and take them with you to color!

I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Feature Friday post for Concord & 9th! Thank you so much for visiting and have a spectacular weekend! ๐Ÿ™‚

Feature Friday for Concord & 9th – Thankful Leaves!

Happy Friday! I have been watching Brian and Kim’s girls Izzy and Savannah all week. They went on a well deserved and much needed cruise to the Bahamas with two of their friends. The girls have been so good and we have had a lot of fun! I’m sure that will be happy to see Mom and Dad when they get home on Sunday! ๐Ÿ˜€

It’s time for another Feature Friday post for Concord & 9th! This week we are featuring the Thankful Leaves Stamps and Dies! I also used a sentiment from the Shiplap Sentiments Stamp Set!

I really do love that leaf die and today I used it to make a shaker card! I began by cutting out the solid leaf from a piece of Grey 110lb Card Stock. On the bottom I heat embossed the Hello from The Shiplap Sentiments Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder. I then used the Leaf Die with the insert to cut out a piece of Copper Glitter Paper from the Summer Glitter Paper Pack. On the back of the Grey panel I adhered a piece of Acetate and then used Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive to adhere to the copper glitter leaf to the Acetate. Some 3M Foam Tape is added to the back of the panel. I used a darker piece of Grey 110lb Card Stock for the card base and added Pretty Pink Posh Rose Gold, Pewter and Marshmallow Sequins before adhering the front. I love all of the sparkle and that Glitter Paper from Concord & 9th is awesome!

I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this weekโ€™s Feature Friday post for Concord & 9th! Thank you for spending a little time with me today! Have a fantastic Weekend! ?

Feature Friday for Concord & 9th – So Happy for You!

Happy Friday peeps! I have had a pretty quiet week. Got some things done around the house, caught up on a bunch of stuff and binged some Netflix. I want to make plans to maybe go into Manhattan this weekend but it’s supposed to rain and they can’t decide if it’s going to be on Saturday or Sunday. I think that we should be able to determine that by now! I’m going to be taking care of my friends Brian and Kim’s girls Izzy and Savannah next week while they go away on vacation. Gotta plan some things to get us out of the house! LOL! ๐Ÿ˜€

It’s time for another Feature Friday post for Concord & 9th! This week we are using the So Happy for You Stamps and Dies!

I also used the Top it Off Stamps and Dies! To start my card I stamped the flowers and leaves from the So Happy for You Photopolymer Stamp Set in Sugarplum, Peachy Keen, Sunflower, Freshly Cut Grass and Noble Fir and then used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out. For my greeting I stamped the Oh Happy Day from the Top it off Photopolymer Stamp Set in Sugarplum onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and then used the hoop die to cut it out. For the outline I used the hoop die to cut out a piece of Gold Glitter Paper from the Neutrals Glitter Pack. Another circle is cut from another piece of Solar White 110lb using the Hero Arts Infinity Circles Dies. The stamped greeting and hoop are added to the circle with E-Z Runner and Multi-Purpose Spray. It looked a little plain so I used the Oh Happy Day Die to cut out some more Gold Glitter Paper and then added that to the greeting. I arranged my flowers and leaves behind the circle and then picked them up with some Glad Press n Seal, added adhesive to the back and adhered them to the card. The circle is then adhered with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. I love the bright flowers and bold sparkly greeting, a happy day indeed!

I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Feature Friday post for Concord & 9th! Thanks you for spending a little time with me today! Have a fantastic Weekend! ๐Ÿ™‚

Wedding Congrats – Concord & 9th!

Happy Monday! How was the weekend?! Mine was good. I drove upstate to see my friends Ella and Tom on Saturday. The rain was terrible on the way up there but the sun did peek out later in the afternoon. Yesterday I got some things done around the house and then went over to see Brian and Kim for a bit. Today I have some cleaning and laundry to do, fun right?! LOL! I’m going to try and get into the Stampin’ Galley too, let’s see if that happens! ๐Ÿ˜€

I forgot to share my card with you last week featuring the NEW Concord & 9th Top it Off Stamps! So that’s what I have for you today! I started by heat embossing some of the images from the set in Hero Arts White and Copper Embossing Powder onto a piece of Grey 110lb Card Stock. I used my Mini MISTI to make sure that everything was lined up! Once all of my heat embossing was done I adhered the panel to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. For a little sparkle I added Pretty Pink Posh Rose Gold Sequins and the card is done! The card was pretty simple to make and I think would work great for a wedding! I hope that you enjoyed my card for today! Thank you for visiting with me and have a marvelous Monday! ๐Ÿ™‚

Feature Friday for Concord & 9th – Birthday Balloon!

Happy Friday! I hope that you all had a nice week. It has been really hot here and I’m loving it! The Summer is definitely my favorite time of year and I can’t believe that it’s already August! I have been enjoying driving around with the top down in my car and trying to keep busy. This weekend I will be taking a ride to see a friend upstate. That will be fun! ๐Ÿ˜€

As I mentioned in yesterday’s post I’ll be helping Concord & 9th celebrate their third Birthday along with the rest of my teammates from the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Blog! We will have posts from you every Friday this month featuring products from this month’s release! Today we are featuring the Birthday Ballon Stamps and Dies. You can earn the Dies for FREE with a qualifying $60 purchase and get the Stamps too when you make a qualifying $120 purchase!

I do love a nice large image in a set, makes for great quick cards! My card starts with a piece of Neenah Solar White 80lb cut to 5 1/2 x 4 1/4. I placed it in my Mini MISTI and stamped the balloon from the Birthday Balloon Photopolymer Stamp Set in Peacock, Jalapeรฑo and Merman Ink. The greeting is stamped in Black Licorice. I used the happy die to cut out a piece of Silver Glitter Card and adhered it to the panel with Multi-Matte Medium. The panel is then adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. For the strings I used a Comic Multi-liner and the card is done! A quick, simple and fun Birthday card! I love the way that light blue balloon looks like it’s on top of all of the others!

I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Concord & 9th Feature Friday post! You can check out the main post over on Concord & 9th blog and then go and see all of the other projects from my talented teammates! Thanks so much for visiting with me today! Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th – Anything Goes!

Hello!

It’s release day over at Concord & 9th! It’s also their third Birthday! We will be celebrating with them all month long with Feature Friday posts! Each Friday we will be sharing ideas for one of this month’s new products! It’s also time for a new challenge over on the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th blog…

You all know that Concord & 9th is one of my favorite companies and I do love to get goodies early! LOL! I used the NEW Thankful Leaves Dies to make a masculine Birthday card! To start I choose a piece of glitter paper from the Concord & 9th Neutrals Glitter Pack and a piece of Copper Foil Sheet. For the glitter paper I used the Thankful Leaves Die and poked out all of the pieces. When I cut out the one from the Copper Foil Sheet the pieces stayed and I liked the look! I used the Die again without the middle piece to cut out a piece of Desert Storm 80lb to back the Copper leaf and adhered it with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. For the card I used the Barnwood Background Photopolymer Stamp and some Hero Arts Soft Brown Ink and stamped it onto another piece of Desert Storm 80lb. That is adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. For my greeting I heat embossed the Let’s Celebrate from the Triple Step Hooray Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts Copper Embossing Powder onto more Desert Storm 80lb and trimmed it out with my scissors. The leaves are then adhered to the card with more Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive and the greeting with 3m Foam Tape. A simple fun Birthday card with a masculine twist!

I hope that you like my Design Team card for this month’s Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Anything Goes Challenge! We hope that you will take some time to share your creation with us! Thanks Peach – Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th!

Hello peeps! It’s been a while I know! I hope that you all have been well. I’m enjoying my Summer and hope that you all are too. Not too sure what I’m up to today but it’s supposed to be in the 90’s so maybe a trip into the city?! ๐Ÿ˜€

It’s time for my August Solo Post over on the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Challenge Blog! I love the new Dip Dyed Cards and Envelopes that Concord released last month so I used one to make my card for today! I started by heat embossing the thank you from the Triple-Step Thank You Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto a piece of Iridescent Vellum using my Mini MISTI and then cut it out with the Coordinating Dies. The peach is from the same set and is stamped in Carrot and Cranberry for the peach and Noble Fir for the leaf. The Coordinating Dies cut that out too. I stamped the you’re a peach in Peacock and then used 3M Foam Tape to adhered the thank you and the peach to the card base. Don’t those Dip Dyed cards make cool backgrounds?!

I hope that you like the card for my August Solo Post for the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Blog! Donโ€™t forget that you can follow us on Instagram and Facebook! New Adventures!

Hello friends! I hope that you all had a great weekend! I had Tristan’s 2nd Birthday party on Saturday, I can’t believe that she’s 2, that went so fast! It was nice to get together with the family and the kids had a great time! We even got a family pic! My brother is missing because he took the picture!

And one of my Brother, Erika and the kids…

Tristan couldn’t wait to get that cake! LOL!

Now on to the reason for today’s post. As I’m sure most of you know I no longer have the retail store.

For the past few months I have been doing a lot of thinking as to what I would like to do with my career and skills moving forward and I keep coming back to Social Media and Blogging. After my Leadership Presentation on Pinterest for Stampin’ Up! in Houston back in 2014 (and grasping that I have 70,000 more followers than Tim Holtz does) I thought I must be doing something right! Prior to my present consulting career, in my last full-time job I was a Marketing Coordinator. Many of my responsibilities were creating posters, flyers, mailings and Social Media posts. That led me to take on all Social Media for The Ink Pad, a retail craft store in Manhattan.

I also do some Computer Consulting for individuals and businesses in Manhattan. To keep up with my craftiness and current trends, I’m on a number of Design Teams and also have my own Challenge Blog; Stamp, Ink, Paper. A few months ago I had the opportunity to help two very talented ladies rejuvenate their blogs by creating graphics and assisting with the set up. I really enjoyed working with both of these ladies and had so much fun helping them come up with fresh identities for their online presence! We spent time discussing what their individual styles were and how much they wanted to get out of having the blog. In the end both were very satisfied with their finished products! With that being said, one of my new ventures will be assisting others create a fresh, innovative new look for their blogs. Some folks may simply want a place to share their stories and creations while others may want to promote a business.

Are you or someone you know has been thinking about changing or refreshing the look of their blog? How about taking that first step to creating one of your own but donโ€™t really know where to start? I’m here to help! I will work with you to derive a plan and steer it through to fruition. I’m also in a position to offer advice on Social Media and how to create engaging posts that get people to notice you,

If you are interested in finding out more and how we can get started send an email to [email protected].

Thanks for coming by to check in with me! I look forward to hearing from you and hope that you all have a magnificent Monday! ๐Ÿ™‚

SIP Challenge 158 – Christmas in July!

Hello peeps! Just popping in with a quick post for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge. The actual Stamp, Ink, Paper site is having major issues this morning so the post won’t be up for a little while. But the Design Team has all of their posts up and I’ll link to them below! Now for this week’s challenge badge…

I used some old and new sets from Concord & 9th for my card. To start I heat embossed the lightbulb from the Concord & 9th Shine On Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts Silver Embossing Powder onto a piece of Gold Metallic 27lb Vellum. The top of the bulb is also heat embossed in Silver onto a piece of Ionized Curious Metallic. I used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out. Onto a piece of Solar White 80lb I heat embossed my greeting from the Concord & 9th Ornamental Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder using my Mini MISTI so that I could do it twice to make it a little brighter. The background with the greeting is then adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 100lb Card Stock. I added the bulb with 3M Foam Tape and then a few Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins complete the card. I do love the simplicity and metallic elements on the card! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! Once the BLOG is up I hope that you will check out the rest of the Team’s cards and share yours with us in the gallery! Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your Tuesday! ๐Ÿ™‚

Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th – Mixed Media!

Happy Monday! I trust that you all had a nice weekend! I did! Yesterday I went out East with a friend, we had lunch by a stream and then stopped in Port Jefferson on the way back. It was the perfect day for a road trip in the convertible! I also picked up a Rhubarb Pie, my Great Grandmother used to grow Rhubarb and makes pies when I was little! The pie wasn’t as good as hers but it definitely brought back memories! ๐Ÿ˜€

It’s release day over at Concord & 9th so that means that it’s time for a new challenge over on the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th blog…

I got use one of the NEW Stamp and Die Sets from this month’s release to make my card! I also dug out some Glitter Paste and used a lot of pink and a little ribbon, now there are a few things I don’t often use! My background is a piece of Iridescent Pink 65lb Card. I used my Palette Knife to add Bo Bunny Sugar Glitter Paste through the Concord & 9th Retro Petals Turnabout Stencil and set it aside to dry. From the Concord & 9th Laurel Frame Photopolymer Stamp Set I stamped the wreath in Jalapeรฑo and Noble Fir and the flowers in Ballet Slippers, Peachy Keen and Bubblegum using my Mini MISTI. They are cut out with the Coordinating Dies. Once the background was dry I added a piece of Stampin’ Up! 1 1/4″ Pink Pirouette Ribbon and adhered it around the back. The background is then added to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. To adhere the wreath and flowers I used 3M Foam Tape. Finally, I cut out the hello, also from the Laurel Frames Dies, from more 110lb and used Multi-Matte Medium to add it to the ribbon. The pictures don’t do the Sugar Paste justice, it’s subtle but nice and sparkly!

I hope that you like my Design Team card for this month’s Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Mixed Media Challenge! We hope that you will take some time to share your creation with us! Head over to the BLOG for more inspiration! Donโ€™t forget that you can follow us on Instagram and Facebook! Thanks for starting your week off here with me! Have a marvelous Monday! ๐Ÿ™‚
