Paper Craft Crew 270

Happy Wednesday peeps! I had a nice visit with my friend Ella in Manhattan yesterday. It was a quick one, the city is very busy now through the end of the year with everyone coming in to see the Christmas Tree in Rockefeller Center and the windows in a ll of the stores. A little too crowded for me to go on my usual little walks! Taylor was off so she took Cali to her house and then came back to my house and waited for me to get home so she wouldn’t be alone. Jim came by after work and we ran a few errands and then gave Cali a bath to get all of the shelter off of her. She is still being really good, let’s hope that she stays that way! This morning I have a bunch of errands to run and some things to get done on the computer. Another busy day! πŸ˜€

Middle of the week and I have my card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew challenge to share…

It looks like a really complicated sketch but I took it down to a one layer card! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I placed it in my Mini MISTI, I find myself using the MISTI more and more for stamping all the time, it’s nice to have the option of double stamping if necessary! All of the images and greeting are from the Concord & 9th Bits & Pieces Photopolymer Stamp Set. The lines are stamped in Black Licorice, the flowers in Peachy Keen and the leaves in Freshly Cut Grass. I also used Black Licorice for the greeting and then added some Peach Iridescent and Lime Iridescent Sequins from my stash to give the card a little sparkle! I have said it before, I love a nice simple single layer card and these would be great to make multiples of with your MISTI! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and share yours with us in the gallery! Thanks for visiting with me! Have a wonderful Wednesday! πŸ™‚

SIP Challenge 127 – All Wrapped Up!

Hello friends! I had a nice day with my little Cali yesterday. She has been so good, almost too good to be true. I took her over to Andrew’s Parent’s house to see his Mum and Dad. Then Andrew came over by me for a bit, he loves Cali! LOL! She is such a mush and goes to anyone. Taylor stopped by with her friend Jess and she was quite fond of the little miss too! I’m going to go into Manhattan today and Taylor is going to watch her for a little bit for me. I feel so bad that she will be home alone for a few hours but what can you do?! I think I’ll get a little carrier for her so that I can take her on city trips with me! πŸ˜€

It Tuesday and time for new challenge over on the Stamp, Ink, Paper blog…

I went with some tags, surprise! LOL! To create them I used the Concord & 9th Sprinkles Tag Dies to cut out three tags from Desert Storm 80lb. For my images I used the Concord & 9th Beautiful Branches Photopolymer Stamp Set. The branches are stamped in Doe and the leaves in Yeti Pigment Ink. Because I’m impatient I used my Heat Tool to speed up the white ink drying. Next I stamped the sentiment from the Concord & 9th O Christmas Tree Photopolymer Stamp Set in Noble Fir over the images on the tags. In the top of the tags I punched a hole and tied some Natural Twine through. Just a few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins and they are complete! I do love to make tags, these will go nicely with a prezzie wrapped in kraft paper! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp , Ink, Paper All Wrapped Up Challenge! We hope that you will stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of Team’s projects and that you will share yours with us in the gallery! Thanks for coming by today! Have a terrific Tuesday! πŸ™‚

Happy last week of November?! Where on earth did this year go?!?! I hope that you all had a nice weekend and that if you shopped on Black Friday that you came out of it unscathed and with some great bargains! My weekend was not what I expected at all! Friday I was over Jim’s all day. We decorated his house for Christmas. He put up four trees!! Three full size ones and a small one. The house looks amazing, it’s just enough and so festive! On Saturday we decided that we would go over to an animal shelter in Freeport. I met him there and we looked at two dogs. The second one, a little Yorkie, was so cute. She was very friendly and we liked her a lot. Before I knew it we were bringing the owner back to my house for a home visit. In the car on the way back she called and told them to get the paperwork together. When we got back to the shelter Jim paid the fee for her and said Merry Christmas! So I’m happy to share a picture of the newest addition to my family, Cali…

Isn’t she just the cutest?! She is really good in the car and seems to have adjusted well to my house. I have taken her all over with me and she has been good as gold. I’m going to take her over to Jim’s to meet his dogs this week. I miss my Winston so much but I think he would have liked her a lot and would be happy that I get to share my time with her now! πŸ˜€

Let’s start the week off with a card for this week’s Paper Players challenge…

I finally received my November release from Concord & 9th after the Post Office had lost it for a week! I always end up using the set that I thought I wouldn’t first too! LOL! I stamped the bear from the Concord & 9th Hi There Bear Photopolymer Stamp Set in Black Licorice using my Mini MISTI. I added the piece that makes him a panda and put a little Black Glaze Pen on his eyes. The background is stamped in JalapeΓ±o and cut it out with my Scissors. I stamped the balloon in Black Licorice and Sugarplum and the string is stamped on the background. The bear and ballon are cut out with the Coordinating Dies. On a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock I stamped the distressed line from the Concord & 9th Bits & Pieces Photopolymer Stamp Set in Black Licorice. The background is adhered with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner and the bear and balloon with 3M Foam Tape. My greeting is from the Hi There Bear Set and is stamped in Black Licorice. I trimmed it out and added it to the card with more 3M Foam Tape. A few dots of Sugarplum added with my Stylus finishes the card! Isn’t that bear just too cute?! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Players Challenge! Thanks for sharing your Monday with me! Enjoy the rest of your day! πŸ™‚

Paper Players 371

Well hello there and a happy Monday to you! I hope that you all had a nice weekend, I certainly did! Saturday Jim and I did a little Christmas shopping and then headed over to my Brother’s house for Daniel’s 4th Birthday Party! Can you imagine that he is 4 already?! Here is a picture of the Birthday boy with his little sister…

They are just too damn cute! Daniel was a big fan of Jim, he spent the better part of a half hour hitting him with a ballon which he thought was absolutely hysterical!! We got him tickets to go and see Monster Jam in February, Jim is going to bring his Nephew too. Yesterday I did a few things in the morning, Jim stopped by on his way to a party over by my house for a quick visit. Later on Taylor came by and we watched some TV to finish the day. This morning I have a bunch of errands to run and then Sue is supposed to stop by and pick up some stuff from me! πŸ˜€

To start off the week I have a card to share with you for the Paper Players challenge…

I dug out an old set that is still one of my favorites! I stamped the pinecones from the Simon Says Stamp with Concord & 9th Cozy Christmas Photopolymer Stamp Set in Soft Brown, Cup O Joe and Sand to Chocolate Brown Ombre Ink using my Mini MISTI. They are cut out with the Coordinating Die. My background is stamped in Moss Hybrid Ink using the Concord & 9th Plaid Background Photopolymer Stamp. I stamped the lines in Delicata Celestial Copper Pigment Ink and then used my Heat Tool to make sure they were dry. The background is adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My greeting is from the Cozy Christmas Set and is stamped in Moss Hybrid on a strip of Solar White 80lb. I used some 3M Foam Tape to adhere to pinecones and greeting to the card and it’s done! I love those pinecones and that plaid background is definitely becoming a favorite too! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Players challenge! Thank you for starting you week off here with me! Have a magnificent Monday! πŸ™‚

Paper Craft Crew 268

Wednesday already! This week is on the fast track. What I thought was going to be a nice quiet morning yesterday was anything but. I spoke to Andrea in the morning and found out that one of her horses had passed away. Then my Mum needed me to help her with some things. Next up was a letter that I had to write for the event on Sunday to see if we could get some footage of an interview. Busy, but I like it that way! Taylor came by last night and we had Wendy’s for dinner after she left I got a text from Kim that her cat Haligan was hit by a car. Not a good week for pets at all. With Winston that makes three so we should be good for a while. I’m going to spend a little time in the Stampin’ Galley doing some more purging this morning, I had so much fun last time! πŸ˜€

Today I have my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew to share with you…

My card started out with me stamping the Concord & 9th Plaid Background Photopolymer Stamp in Black Licorice onto piece of Classic Cherry using my Mini MISTI. I trimmed it down and then stamped the stripes in Delicata Golden Glitz Pigment Ink. The fun wood heart is from the Concord & 9th Cozy Up Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Black Licorice onto some Desert Storm 80lb. I used the Coordinating Die to cut it out. My greeting is also from the Cozy Up Set and is heat embossed in WOW! Rich Pale Gold Embossing Powder. I adhered the background to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and the heart to complete the card. I love that black and red plaid background with the gold pigment ink stripes! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG for some more inspiration and let’s see your card in the gallery! Thank you for coming by today! Have a wondrous Wednesday! πŸ™‚

Paper Players 370

Hello friends. I missed my post on Friday because I woke up and found my little friend Winston had passed away in the night. I miss him so much. I can’t remember a time that he hasn’t been around. I was lucky enough to have spent 16 years with my best friend. It really is true, your furry friends become a part of the family and the loss leaves a big empty space. Heather came over on Friday and spent the day with me working from my house. I managed to keep myself busy over the weekend. I spent the morning at Jim’s on Saturday and then we went to dinner and watched a few episodes of The Fall. Yesterday I was at the Glam Slam Fundraiser and that was a lot of fun! I ran into someone that I used to work with at Pergament back when I was 18!! Such a small world. πŸ˜€

To start off the week I have my card for the Paper Players challenge…

One of my favorite challenges! Onto my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock I added a piece of Solar White 80lb that I embossed with the We R Memory Keepers Woodgrain Embossing Folder. My tree is cut from another piece of Solar White 110lb using the Concord & 9th Trim the Tree Die. I used the lights from the Concord & 9th Trim the Tree Photopolymer Stamp Set and WOW! Rich Pale Gold Embossing Powder on my die cut tree and then adhered it to the card with 3M Foam Tape. The greeting is from the Concord & 9th Christmas Cheer Turnabout Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed onto a piece of Solar White 80lb that I cut out with the Concord & 9th Ribbon Banner Die with more Rich Pale Gold Embossing Powder. Some more 3M Foam Tape adheres that to the tree and the card is done. I do love a white on white card, you can do so much with a little dimension! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Players Challenge! Thank you for coming by to see me on a Monday! Have a great day! πŸ™‚

Hi all! Not as dreary here yesterday but still crisp! I had a very nice productive day with Sue! We got stuff done and went out and had a nice lunch! Another chance to make a simple easily duplicated Holiday card and this one is definitely that! I actually did make a few while I had the supplies out, good to make a dent in the stack of Holiday cards!Β I hope that you like my Design Team card for this month’s Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Christmas Challenge! Simple Pine Merry & Bright – Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th!

Surprise! I haven’t done a weekend post in a few weeks! But it’s time for my Solo Post over on the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Blog! We featured a Shades of Concord & 9th Challenge for last month so I made a super simple Holiday card using teals and green!

The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I stamped the Merry & Bright from the Concord & 9th Ornamental Photopolymer Stamp Set in Peacock and then stamped the pine branches in JalapeΓ±o around it. To add my little dots I used a stylus with Peacock and Merman Ink. I felt it needed a little something more so I added some more dots with my Silver Signo Gel Pen. Super simple Holiday card that’s easy to make and you could change up the colors to suit whatever your favorites are!

I hope that you like the card for my November Solo Post for the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Blog! You can also see this post over on the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Blog!
