Freshly Made Sketches 317

Well, I woke up to 3 inches of snow this morning! No thanks! LOL! It was so windy and cold here yesterday too! Is it too early to start complaining that I can’t wait for Spring?! Despite the frigid day I still got a lot done. Last night we had an early Thirsty Thursday at my house, Heather was a little tipsy so I drove her home and then took her car over to her this morning. I’ll be running more errands and checking more things off my to-do list today! 😀

I managed to get a card made this morning for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches Challenge

I wanted to use the December My Monthly Hero Kit again. First I used the Hero Arts City Skyline Fancy Die, an add-on, to cut out a piece of Gold Glitter Card. I adhered it to a piece of Black 110lb that I rounded the corners on with my We R Memory Keepers Corner Chomper. The moon and the starts are from the Stamp Set included and are heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder. Onto my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock I added a strip of the Gold Glitter Card and then adhered my panel with E-Z Runner and Fun Foam. My greeting is also from the Stamp Set and is heat embossed in more White Embossing Powder onto a strip of Blue Jay. A few Black 3D Foam Squares hold it in place. The bottom looked a little plain so I added a few Nautical Sparkle and Brushed Gold Sequins along with some dots with my Gold Signo Gel Pen. Love that fun City Scape Die and the unusual greeting! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches Challenge! Thank you for your visit and I wish you all a super Thursday! 🙂

Paper Craft Crew 272

It has become seriously cold here! I woke up to 20 degrees this morning and lots of wind! Poor Cali was not happy on her walk this morning and neither was I! LOL! Yesterday I ran some errands then met up with Heather and Steph after dinner so that they could go and vote for Fire Commissioner. Heather and I stopped by to see Brian and Kim’s house, they are expanding it out to the side and up. It was pretty neat to see the construction, the shell went up really fast! When I got back home Taylor was here snuggling with Cali. Her and I ran a few more errands and then I called it a night. Not sure what I’m up to this morning but I know there will be some laundry in there somewhere! 😀

I did a little FaceTime crafting with Andrea yesterday and made my card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew challenge…

I started my card by reaching for the Hero Arts December My Monthly Hero Kit. The vase is heat embossed in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder onto a piece of Canson 140lb Watercolor Card, colored in with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens and cut out with the Coordinating Die. I used the lattice window die to cut out a piece of Gold Mirror Card. For my background I spattered some Heidi Swapp Gold and Teal Color Shine onto a piece of Desert Storm 80lb and adhered it to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The two strips of patterned paper are from the DCWV Mariposa 12×12 Paper Pad. I heat embossed my greeting in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder on the teal strip and flagged both ends of the butterfly strip before adhering them to the card. Some Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive hold the lattice window in place and a little 3M Foam Tape secures the vase. All that was left to do was to add a few Pretty Pink Posh Sea Breeze and Gold Sequins and the card is done! I love the December My Monthly Hero Kit, so many fun things to use in it! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and enter your take on the sketch in the gallery! Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂

SIP Challenge 129 – Colors!

I’m late this morning and I apologize! I woke up at 4:00AM with a insanely bad migraine, so bad I couldn’t even lie or sit down. Thankfully it’s a lot better now. Yesterday was fun with Daniel and Tristan, they are so good and easy to watch, plus it’s nice to get to spend the extra time with them! I went right over to Jim’s last night so we could fix the Christmas lights on the house and have dinner. He whipped up a meatloaf, sautéed string beans and sweet potato, all delicious as usual! Now that my head is feeling a little better I need to get my butt in gear! 😀

It’s Tuesday and time for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper challenge…

My card has a ton of heat embossing on it, you know that’s one of my favorite things to do! The background is a piece of Chili Pepper Card Stock with the Concord & 9th Plaid Background Photopolymer Stamp heat embossed in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder. My postage stamp is from the Concord & 9th Love You So Photopolymer Stamp Set. I heat embossed the dots in more Gold and the LOVE in Recollections Red Tinsel Embossing Powder. It’s cut out with the Coordinating Die. The background is adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and the postage stamp with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. All in all a pretty simple card to make! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Color Challenge! Head on over to the BLOG and see what the rest of the Team has done and share your card with us in the gallery! Thanks for visiting with me today! Have an excellent Tuesday! 🙂

Peace Out!

Happy Monday! I hope that you all enjoyed your weekend! I was nice and busy for most of mine. Saturday I spent the day with Heather and George. Heather and I ran a bunch of errands and then we had dinner and watched a movie. Yesterday Jim came over and we put up my Christmas Tree and ran a few more errands. I finished off the evening with a little binge of White Collar on Netflix. This morning I”m off to watch Daniel & Tristan! Not a bad way to start off the week! 😀

Today I have a funny card to share with you! Jim had someone that was leaving his company so he wanted a card to wish them well and this is what I came up with! Onto my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock I stamped the pine branches from the Sunny Studio Holiday Style Photopolymer Stamp Set in Jalapeño and Noble Fir. The peace is cut from Gold Glitter Card using the Essentials by Ellen Holiday Words Dies. I adhered it and some Pretty Pink Posh Gold Confetti to the card with Multi-Matte Medium. On the inside I used the Concord & 9th Sophisticated Script Photopolymer Stamp Sets to stamp the Out! LOL! Get it… Peace Out! We thought it was pretty funny and so did the person that he gave the card to! I hope that you like today’s card! As always, thanks for starting your week off with me! Have a magnificent Monday! 🙂

Hi peeps and a good Saturday to you! We are supposed to be getting snow today, I sure hope that they are wrong about that! It’s way too early for the white stuff! I’m popping in with a weekend post because we have a new challenge starting over on the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Blog today…

What a nice challenge to end the year with!! My card begins with a piece of Solar White 80lb. I stamped the LOVE from the Concord & 9th Love You So Photopolymer Stamp Set in Narwhal, stamping it off. The arrows are stamped in Merman. Onto another piece I stamped the solid LOVE in Merman and used the Coordinating Die to cut it out. From a piece of Classic Cherry Card Stock I cut out the LOVE and three arrows. My background is adhered to card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb., the Merman “stamp” with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner, the LOVE, slightly offset, with 3M Foam Tape and the arrows with Multi-Matte Medium. Fab Friday 127

And it’s Friday again! That was another quick week! I find that the end of the year always goes extremely fast, so much going on I guess! I had a pretty productive day yesterday, I got some commenting done while I waited at Jim’s for the repair man to come. They of course have to come back, need a part. Cali was better with the dogs, they were actually all sleeping on the chair together. I headed over to Heather’s early and we ran a few errands before having dinner. Steph came by and later on we ran to Target where we met Taylor. She came back to the house with us. A nice evening as always! No clue what I’m up to this morning! I’ll figure it out! LOL! 😀

Today is the last Fab Friday challenge of 2017! It’s a fun one too…

I love to make a nice one layer stamped background card! It’s a great way to stretch your stamps too! All of my images are stamped onto a piece of Solar White 80lb. The taxi, pretzel and I love NYC are from the Hero Arts Kelly’s New York Photopolymer Stamp Set. The tree and snowflakes are from the Hero Arts October My Monthly Hero Kit and the greeting is from the Hero Arts Christmas Trimmings Stamp & Cut Photopolymer Stamp Set. Everything is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black except the I Love NYC and snowflakes, they are stamped in Red Royal and Tide Pool. To color in the images I used my Copics and adhered the panel to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. Simple and really fun to make! I hope that you like my Design Team card for the Fab Friday Christmas Free-for-All! Pay a visit to the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and share yours with us in the gallery! So glad that you stopped by! Have a fabulous Friday! 🙂

Freshly Made Sketches 316

A chilly good day to you! It’s definitely feeing like Winter here today. Chilly but sunny. I managed to get most of my list accomplished yesterday. Jim came by and we had a nice dinner and then watched TV. This morning I’m at his house waiting for the dishwasher repair guy to come. It’s Thursday so I’ll get to see the girls later! 😀

Today I have my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge to share with you. Before we get to it I want thank Jen M for choosing me for her Prince for last week’s challenge! You can see the winner’s post HERE and my original post HERE! Now for this week’s sketch…

I started my card by stamping the Hero Arts Confetti Bold Prints Background Stamp onto a piece of Solar White 110lb with Tide Pool Ink. My greeting is heat embossed in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder using the Hero Arts Happy Happy Christmas Wood Mount Stamp. I wanted some gold around the edge of the card base so I took my Versa-Mark Pad and pressed it along the bottom and left edge. Some more Gold Embossing Powder is added and heat set. My background is then adhered with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. A few Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins are added for extra sparkle and the card is done! Love the simplicity and the gold with the teal! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches Challenge! Thanks for visiting! Have an awesome Thursday! 🙂

Paper Craft Crew 271

A somewhat gloomy day here yesterday weather wise but those are good days to get stuff done! I completed a bunch of things in the morning, including getting some gifts ordered. Taylor came by around 5:00 and took Cali over to my Parent’s to have dinner with them. I ran out to a few stores with Heather and got some more gifts out of the way. Heather made a quick dinner and when I got home Cali was over at my Parent’s because my Mum didn’t like that she was alone! I think someone really likes the little dog! This morning I have some cleaning to do and then Jim will be by later for dinner. 😀

I squeezed in a card lasst night and it’s for this week’s Paper Craft Crew challenge…

I definitely took a simple approach! I started by stamping the Hero Arts Snowy Scene Wood Mount Stamp in Hero Arts Lilac to Grape Purple Ombre Ink onto a piece of Solar White 80lb and trimming it so it had no border. It’s adhered to another piece of Solar White 80lb with a piece of Silver Glitter Card adhered on the left. The panel is then added to a card base of Solar white 110lb Card Stock with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. My greeting is from the Hero Arts Poster Christmas Carols Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts Platinum Embossing Powder onto a piece of 65lb Vellum. I used some Kool-Tak Clear Foam Tape to adhered to the card. I still love that Snowy Scene stamp, it’s perfect for making a quick card! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! You can see more inspiration over on the BLOG and be sure to share your card with us in the gallery! Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂

Stuck on You – Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th!

Hello again! I’m back with my December Solo Post for the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Challenge Blog! I have the distinct pleasure of sharing a sneak peek of one of the sets from the December Concord & 9th release with you today! You can also see more peeks of today’s set over on the Concord & 9th Blog!

To start my card I pulled out a piece of Tim Holtz Watercolor Card Stock and used my Mini Ink Blending Tools to add Fossilized Amber, Spiced Marmalade and Ripe Persimmon in a gradient starting with the lightest at the top and getting darker as I got to the bottom. The panel is then adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the Concord & 9th Stuck on You Dies to cut out a piece of Garden Green for my cactus and Cajun Craze for the pot. From the Concord & 9th Stuck on You Photopolymer Stamp Set I stamped the pot in Onyx Black. Along the bottom of the card I stamped the x pattern in Onyx Black along with the greeting in the upper left corner. The pot has tabs on the sides so I added some Scor-Tape to them and a piece of 3M Foam Tape in the middle. My cactus is adhered with E-Z Runner and the pot over the the cactus. Just a few Pretty Pink Posh Rose Gold Sequins for a little sparkle and the card is done! I love the way that dies cut in the needles on the cactus and the pot has that nice dimension to it!

I hope that you like my card for the December Solo Post over on the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Blog! Don’t forget that you can follow us on Instagram and Facebook! We are getting ready to start our next challenge on December 9th, be sure to come back to see what the rest of my talented teammates have to inspire you! Thanks for stopping by! SIP Challenge 128 – Let it Snow!

What a nice day I had yesterday with Daniel and Tristan! They were both really good and had a lot of fun playing with Cali. She was a little nervous at first but warmed up to them after a while. It was also nice to see my Brother, we don’t get to see each other much anymore. I was home by 4:00 and got a lot of crafting done last night! This one of two posts for today! Bonus Tuesday! 😀

This morning’s post is for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge

Now we all know that I’m not a big fan of snow, except on a card! I started with a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and covered the front with a piece of Blue Jay. My snowflakes are cut from White Glitter Paper using snowflake dies from Simon Says Stamp. I adhered them to the card with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. The greeting is cut from a piece of Solar White 110lb three times with the Simon Says Stamp Merry & Bright Dies and adhered to the card with Multi-Matte Medium. I added some Spectrum Noir Clear Glitter Brush Pen to the greeting and used my White Signo Gel Pen to add some more “snow”. I love the sparkly snowflakes against the blue background! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! There is plenty more inspiration over on the BLOG so go over and check it out. We hope that you will share your card with us in the gallery! Thanks for coming by this morning! Be sure to come back at 11:00 for a sneak peek at Concord & 9th’s December release! Until then have a great Tuesday morning! 🙂
