City on My Mind

Well what started out as a sunny morning yielded to clouds for the rest of the day. I did begin my day with some bagels with Heather and Stephanie which was nice. After that I came home and worked on some crafty projects and cleaned a little. The evening was spent on the couch with the TV and Taylor stopped by for a bit before I called it a night. More crafty things to work on today! Fun! 😀

We are continuing on with Simple Sunday! This card is super simple to make and would work with pretty much any cityscape dies that you have! I used the Poppy Stamps Downtown Urban Landscape Dies to cut the top part of a piece of Basic Gray. My greeting is from the Simon Says Stamp Flowers on My Mind Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in White Embossing Powder onto the bottom right of the buildings. I used a combo of E-Z Runner and Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive to adhered the buildings to the card along with three separate gold buildings that I cut from Gold Mirror Card using the companion Poppy Stamps Downtown Skyscrapers Dies. Some Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins complete the card! Like I said, super simple but I think it’s pretty neat! I hope that you enjoyed today’s Simple Sunday card! Thank you so much for visiting! Have a simple and fun Sunday! 🙂

Freshly Made Sketches 289

Happy Saturday! What was supposed to be a rainy day turned out to be a very lovely day! It was partly cloudy but a lot sunny! I got a few things done around the house in the morning and then went out with Michael for the afternoon. We went all over, Pizza for lunch, A.C. Moore, Old Navy, Kohl’s and finally Target. I took him back to Sue’s and then came home and had dinner with my Parents. Taylor stopped by briefly and then I had some TV time. I’m going to get some more things done around the house and this morning and then who knows what the rest of the day will bring?! 😀

My little bit of craftiness that I have to share with you today is for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches Challenge

The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I took a piece of paper from the DCWV Mariposa 12×12 Paper Pad and heat embossed my greeting from the Concord & 9th By Your Side Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder. The paper is then adhered to a piece of Island Indigo and then adhered to the card. I die cut the butterfly from a piece of Gold Glitter Card Stock using the Concord & 9th Floral & Flutter Dies. It’s adhered to the card with 3M Foam Tape. It needed a little something else so I took my Signo Gold Gel Pen and added some dots to the patterned paper. I love the nice subtle pattern on the paper and that butterfly is still one of my all time favorites! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches Challenge! Thanks so much for coming by today! Have a stupendous Saturday! 🙂

Dotty Thank You Two Ways – Concord & 9th May Guest Designer

Hello again! I’m back with my Guest Designer post for Concord & 9th with more inspiration for the May release! This week we are showcasing the Dotty Turnabout Stamp and the All About You Dies! Each week Jeanette, Vera and myself will be using the same products so you can see how versatile they are! 😀

I love when I can make a card and then use the “leftover” pieces to make a second one don’t you?! To start my cards I used my MISTI and the Dotty Turnabout Photopolymer Stamp with some Minty Fresh, Storm Cloud and Hero Arts Platinum Embossing Powder. For the first card I cut a piece of the stamped paper to 4 x 5 1/4 and used the All About You Dies to cut out the negative you from the paper. I also cut the you out from a piece of Black 110lb along with the the thank. To create the card I adhered a piece of Black 110lb to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The background is adhered to the card and the you and black outline are adhered back into the negative cut out. All that was left to do was to adhered the thank to the card with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive! Love the bold background and the way the block outline on the you separates it just enough to make it pop!

Since I had the opposite pieces left over from the first card I decided that I would make a second! I adhered the you and the outline to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive along with the thank. Next I used the additional stamps in the Dotty Turnabout Photopolymer Stamps to stamp the lined circles in Minty Fresh and Storm Cloud randomly around the greetings. A few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear and Pewter Sequins Finish the card! Waste not want not and I think I actually like this card even more than the first one!

I LOVE that Dotty Turnabout Stamp and the All About You Dies! So much fun to use! Again, how cool is it that you can make your own background paper in any color that you want?! I hope that you enjoyed my Guest Designer projects for the Concord & 9th Blog! Click here to go to the Concord & 9th post and see what the other Guest Designers have done! Fab Friday 113

A happy Friday to you from mushy, wet New York! It rained all day yesterday. I stayed indoors, cleaned a little, did some laundry and watched a lot of TV! Taylor came by in the evening and we ran to Target quick. It’s supposed to continue raining today so I will have to find some more indoor activities to keep myself busy! 😀

It’s one of those week’s where we have a new Fab Friday challenge for you…

I had some fun with the Dotty Turnabout Stamp again! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. For the background I used my MISTI and the Concord & 9th Dotty Turnabout Photopolymer Stamp. I stamped it three times, once in Grape Soda, once in Narwhal and then for the final one I heat embossed it in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder. Across the middle is a strip of 48lb Vellum and a some Gold Mirror Card with the ends flagged. My globe and greeting are from the Concord & 9th Globe Greetings Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the globe in Grape Soda and the greeting in Narwhal. To cut it out I used the Coordinating Die to cut out the globe and then I cut out another piece of Gold Mirror Card with the Hero Arts Infinity Circles Dies. The globe is adhered to the Gold circle and then to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. I just can’t get enough of that Dotty Turnabout Stamp, in fact I’ll be back in a little while with my Guest Designer Post for Concord & 9th with some more ways to use it! I hope that you like my Design Team card for the Fab Friday Sketch Challenge! Check out the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s projects and let’s see your’s in the gallery! Thank you for coming by this morning! See back here in a few! 🙂

Paper Players 345

It turned out to be another nice day, I’m sure that our luck will run out soon enough! I did get some crafting done, sent out a few packages and got to play with my little buddy Daniel. He rode his big wheel back and forth between my Parent’s house and mine, thinks he’s such a big boy! When he gets here he opens the door and walks right in! We all had dinner together and then I headed over to Heather’s for an early Thirsty Thursday with her and Steph. A nice day was had by me! 😀

The Paper Players have a fun challenge this week and so I’m sharing my card for it with you today…

I have had the Concord & 9th Butterfly Card Dies and I don’t think that I have used to make the interlocking card until now! I used Neenah Desert Storm 80lb Card Stock and die cut the card parts and then the wings. I scored and folded my card, which is a note card size and used the card dies to cut out some Pool Party to adhere behind the wings. My greeting is from the Concord & 9th Butterfly Beauty Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder onto another strip of Desert Storm and adhered to the card with 3M Foam Tape. I happened to have some Note Card size Kraft Envelopes so I stamped the small butterflies from the set in Soft Pool onto the front. Love that interlocking butterfly, such a fun and different kind of card! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Players challenge! Thank you very much for visiting with me! Have a terrific Thursday! 🙂

Paper Craft Crew 245

Hello peeps! Well, we got a little reprieve from the rain yesterday but it’s supposed to be back today. I picked up Heather at the Car Wash at 8:00, dropped her off and then took her back around 12:00. From there I went over to Sue’s to see her and Michael. I helped Michael with his new MacBook Air, it’s about time! LOL! We had a nice visit! From there I stopped at Target on the way home, had a little dinner with my Parents, spoke to Jim for a while and watched a little TV before calling it a night. Today, more crafty things to do and organizing! 😀

It’s Wednesday so it’s time for this week’s Paper Craft Crew challenge…

In my cleaning I have found so many things that I haven’t gotten to use! To change it up my card base is Black 110lb. For my background I heat embossed the stars from the Simon Says Stamp Seeing Stars Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder onto a piece of Fog Card Stock. The top half is a piece of paper from the Crate Paper Kiss Kiss 6×6 Paper Pad. Across the middle is a strip of Gold Mirror Card. Before I adhered the panel to the card base I tied a piece of Hemptique Black Hemp Twine in a bow. I die cut the Simon Says Stamp Congratulations Die form a piece of Gold Mirror Card and two pieces of Black 110lb. They are adhered to each other and to the card with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. I added a few stars from the Little Things by Lucy Brushed Gold Sequins Mix and some Rhinestones for a little more sparkle! I still love that Congratulations Die, one of my faves! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thanks for visiting with me today! Have a wicked Wednesday! 🙂

SIP Challenge 100 – Card Makers Choice and Blog Candy!

What does one do when it’s Monday and rains all day?! Why you stay inside and get some crafting done, do a little cleaning, spend some time with the child and run a few errands. I spoke to a bunch of peeps and got the shoe portion of my closet cleaned out! There was a little TV thrown in there for good measure. I will be picking Heather up again from the Car Wash this morning. This time it’s the inside! Maybe we will go and get a little breakfast?! 😀

Today is a pretty big day for the Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! We have reached our 100th challenge!! That’s a lot of challenges! There will be a bunch of blog candy given out for the winners of this challenge so make a card and play along! Did I mention that it a nice easy one too?! Card Makers Choice…

I dug out some stuff that I haven’t used in a while! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. For the background I used a piece of Ivory 110lb and added a piece of DCWV Mariposa 12×12 Paper to the bottom. Around the top of the patterned paper is a piece of Stampin’ Up! 7/8″ Cotton Ribbon with a piece of Papertrey Ink Natural Twine tied in a bow. The panel is then adhered to the card with E-Z Runner Ultra Strong. My flower and leaves are die cut from Tangelo Twist and Island Indigo using The Ton Petal Cut Peonies Dies. I adhered the leaves to the card with Multi-Purpose Spray and adhered the flower to a piece of Gold Vellum with the same. Using my Scissors I trimmed around the flower and adhered it to the card Kool-Tak Clear Foam Tape. My greeting is from the Mama Elephant Labeled Messages Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts Gold onto a piece of Ivory, trimmed out with my Scissors and adhered to the card with 3M Foam Tape. I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Ocean Spray and Gold Sequins just for a little sparkle! The inspiration for the card came from the patterned paper and I love that Gold Vellum! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for the Stamp, Ink, Paper 100th Challenge! We hope that you will play along by entering your card in the gallery! Need some inspiration? The rest of the Team has some great ideas over on the BLOG! I thank you so much for coming by today! Have a thoroughly amazing Tuesday! 🙂

Mojo Monday 498

What a nice weekend that was! Saturday night with Danielle and then Sunday Brunch with Heather’s family to celebrate her grandmother’s 90th Birthday! A nice way to start the day! Jim came by the restaurant and picked me up around 1:00, we hung out at my house for a bit and then he headed home. I had a little dinner with my Parents and then watched TV. I have a lot of organizing and projects to get through today!! It’s going to be a good week! 😀

Since it’s Monday that means a new Mojo Monday sketch…

My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The panel on the right is a piece of Black that I heat embossed in Hero Arts Clear and White Satin Pearl Embossing Powder with the Concord & 9th Triangle Turnabout Photopolymer Stamp and my MISTI. I only did two turns this time! Next up is a piece of Galvanized Curious Metallic that I cut out with the Hero Arts Infinity Circles Dies. It’s adhered to three strips of Real Red and that is adhered to the card with 3M Foam Tape. My love is cut from more Black using the Concord & 9th Love Always Frame Dies. I cut it out twice, adhered then to each other with Multi-Purpose Spray, heat embossed them with more Clear Embossing Powder and then used more Multi-Purpose Spray to adhere it to the card. I used one of the other dies in the set to cut out the three hearts from Real Red, adhered them with Multi-Matte Medium and then added a few Pretty Pink Posh Raspberry and Onyx Sequins to complete the card. I’m really loving the Turnabout Stamps from Concord, especially this one in the Satin Pearl and clear on the Black! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see what the rest of the Team has done and let’s see your card in the gallery! Thank you so much for starting your week off here with me! Have a marvelous Monday! 🙂

Simple Cuddles & Hugs

It was definitely cooler here yesterday but still very pleasant. I managed to get a few projects finished in the morning and then I settled in to watch a little TV. My friend Danielle called me around 3:00, she had tickets to go to Westchester and see the NY Pro Bodybuilding Competition and her boyfriend was sick so she asked if I wanted to go. Sure, why not, never been to something like that before. It was actually pretty interesting, they are very serious about the competition and I can’t imagine how much work it takes one to get in that kind of shape! A fun evening with my friend! Who could ask for anything more?!

I’m going to try, I’m saying try, to do a nice simple card on Sunday’s and we’ll refer to it as Simple Sunday from now on! Today’s is just that type of card. I stared by heat embossing the heart from the Concord & 9th Cuddles & Hugs Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder onto a piece of Peacock Card Stock. It’s cut out with the Concord & 9th Heartstrings Die. I then used the hugs die from the Concord & 9th Cuddles & Hugs Die Set to cut out the negative hugs from the heart and I also cut it out from a piece of Gold Mirror Card. The heart is adhered to the card base with Multi-Matte Medium along with the hugs. I added just a few Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins and the card is done! I love the inlaid hugs in the heart, especially since the hugs die leaves that little bit of white around it! I hope that you like my card for Simple Sunday! I appreciate your visiting as always and hope that you really enjoy your day! 🙂

Freshly Made Sketches 288

I was under the impression that it was not going to be as warm yesterday as it was on Thursday but it was! I went and took Heather to drop her car off in the morning and then came back home and had some Breakfast. After that it was off to get a haircut and then I met a friend for coffee. Around lunchtime I called Stephanie to see what she was up to, she had errands to run so I took a ride with her. We got McDonald’s and stopped by Heather’s for a bit. I had dinner with my Parents and then Taylor came by for a while. Today I’m going to get crafty a fun way to spend part of Saturday! 😀

I have my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge to share with you…

Nice and simple! I started by using the Concord & 9th Triangle Turnabout Photopolymer Stamp with some Altenew Morning Frost, Evening Gray, Caribbean Sky and Mango Smoothie Crisp Ink and my MISTI. I cut the panel to match the sketch and adhered it to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My lightbulb is from the Concord & 9th Shine Brighter Photopolymer Stamp Set. I heat embossed the base in Hero Arts Liquid Platinum Embossing Powder onto a piece of Galvanized Curious Metallic. The bulb is heat embossed in Hero Arts White onto some Heat Resistant Acetate along with the greeting in Hero Arts Gold. I used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out and adhered it to the card with a 3D Foam Square. A few Little Things by Lucy Brushed Gold Sequins and Rhinestones complete the card. I love that lightbulb heat embossed on the acetate, so cool! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge! Thank you for visiting with me today! Have a super Saturday! 🙂
