Freshly Made Sketches 280

What a lovely Thursday I had! I managed to get a bunch of stuff done at the Store which was great despite me leaving at 3:00. Jim got to my house around 4:30 and we headed out around 4:45. We made pretty good time into Manhattan and went straight to Nick’s for dinner. I haven’t been there in a long time, ever since Kim moved out of the neighborhood. Dinner was delicious and after we walked for a bit and then took the Subway down to Times Square and headed to the St. James Theatre to see Present Laughter with Kevin Kline. It was a really funny play and the acting was great! Back on the Subway and up to the garage to get the car. We were back at my house by 11:45! Not bad at all! It was a very nice way to spend a Thursday evening! 😀

Today’s card is for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge…

I started by stamping my images from the Lawn Fawn Bicycle Built for You Photopolymer Stamp Set in Jet Black and coloring them in with Copics.  They are cut out with the Coordinating Dies. Next I used the Lawn Fawn Road Border Lawn Cuts to cut out a piece of Black and Solar White 80lb and adhered them together and then to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My greeting is from the Lawn Fawn Happy, Happy, Happy Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the happy in Sugarplum and cut it out with the Coordinating die and two more from 110lb Card Stock. They are adhered to each other and to the card with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. The rest of the greeting is stamped in Lobster. Some 3D Foam Squares adhere the bicycle, girl and groceries and the card is done! I love that bicycle on the road and the fun greeting! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge! Thank you for coming by! Have a fantastic Friday! 🙂

Paper Players 336

Well, it was back to Winter here again yesterday! We had chilly temps and lots of wind! I appreciate the tastes of Spring but I really would prefer that it stick around! I had a very busy day at the Store. I did manage to get a lot done and most of it was while I was multi-tasking which never usually goes well! LOL! I made four cards and got a few orders together. After work I came home and spent some time with Daniel. We had to go down in the basement with the flashlight and wander around! He’s such a funny little man! Heather came by around 7:00 and I helped her with her passport form and she helped me with my shredding! We ran to BJ’s and then it was time to call it a night! Tonight I’ll be heading into Manhattan to go and see play with my friend Jim, should be a great evening! 😀

Two of the cards that I made yesterday were requested by a friend and I’m sharing them with you today for this week’s Paper Players challenge…

For the first one I used the Lawn Fawn Critters Ever After Photopolymer Stamp Set. The images are stamped in Jet Black and colored in with Copics. They are cut out with the Coordinating Dies. To create my clouds I used the Lawn Fawn Puffy Cloud Borders to cut out some Solar White 80lb and adhered them to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. On the bottom one I stamped the Birthday from the Lawn Fawn Let’s Bokeh and the Little One from the Lawn Fawn Little Bundle Photopolymer Stamp Sets in Jet Black and adhered the cloud with 3D Foam Squares. My happy is from the Happy, Happy, Happy Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Lobster and cut out with the Coordinating Die, it’s adhered to the cloud with Multi-Matter Medium. I added the castle and the unicorn with more 3D Foam Squares and the card is done!

For the second card I used the Lawn Fawn Elphie Selfie Photopolymer Stamp Set. The images are stamped in Jet Black and again colored in with Copics, the Coordinating Dies cut them out. The Stitched Hillside Borders cut out a piece of Herb Garden and the Little Picket Fence Border cuts out some Solar White 80lb. I adhered them to a piece of Moonstone and then adhered that to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The greetings are from the same sets as the first card with the happy stamped in Bubblegum. The stamped and colored images are adhered to the card with 3D Foam Squares and again, the card is done!

I didn’t add any sequins or other embellishments, the cards are to celebrate two one year old girl’s birthdays! I hope that you like my two cards for this week’s Paper Players challenge! I thank you so much for coming by today! Have a totally awesome Thursday! 🙂

Paper Craft Crew 236

It was a beautiful day here yesterday, a little taste of Spring! The Store was pretty busy, I did get the Lawn Fawn order in and emailed everyone to let them know that their goodies had arrived. I got to see Sandy for a bit and then Sue stopped by and right after that Debbie! Today I have to get my butt in gear and make sure that I have all of the projects for upcoming classes ready! I’m even going to send out a newsletter!! Gotta get back into the swing of things! Last night my friend Jim came over. We ran a few errands and picked up dinner, we even put the top down in the car! A little time was also spent working on a special project! It’s going to be great when it’s finished! 😀

It’s Wednesday today so time for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge…

I actually made the tag for this card a few weeks ago and then made it into a card. I dusted off some older Lawn Fawn sets too! The base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the Lawn Fawn Grassy Hillside Borders to cut the top and bottom of a piece of Herb Garden Card Stock and adhered that across the center. My circle is a piece of Kraft that I cut out with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Circles Stackables Lawn Cuts. The tag is cut from a piece of Solar White 80lb with the Lawn Fawn Tag, You’re It Lawn Cuts, I tied a piece of Natural Twine through the hole and adhered it to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. All of the images except the worm and branch are from the Lawn Fawn Love you S’more Photopolymer Stamp Set and are stamped in Jet Black and colored in with Copics. The worm and branch are from the Lawn Fawn Bugs and Kisses Photopolymer Stamp Set, I used the Coordinating Dies to cut out all of the images and then adhered the to the card with 3D Foam Squares. I love those stamp sets and I’m so happy with the way the marshmallows tuned out! They look nice and toasty! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s card and let’s see yours in the gallery! Thank you for spending some time with me today! Have a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂

Hello Lovely Flowers

Thankfully they were wrong about the snow again! It flurried for a little while and then turned to rain. We had a bunch of visitors at the Store today including my friend Jodi and a new customer! I worked on cards most of the day, I’m taking today off so I wanted to get ahead a little. Renee left early to go and celebrate her grandson’s Birthday, I hope that she had a good time! I had dinner with my Parents when I got home and then spent some time with Taylor before heading over to see Sue. She needed a little assistance with a new wireless router that she got. We got that all set up and all of the devices connected! On the way home I stopped at Target to pick up a few things and then relaxed for the rest of the evening. Today  have some cleaning to do, fun Sunday! LOL! 🙂

I was in the mood to color and not be very particular about it so I stamped the Concord & 9th Hello Lovely Photopolymer Stamp Set onto a piece of Solar White 80lb with my MISTI. To color in the image I used Prismacolor Pencils, adding some French Gray around the image to give it some depth. The panel is mounted to a base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and a few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins are added. A very simple but bright and fun card, and it’s technically one layer too! I hope that you like today’s card! I thank you so much for stopping by and wish you a nice Simple Sunday! 🙂

Freshly Made Sketches 279

Ahh… the weekend! Yesterday we had fun at the Store with the last of the peeps for the March Lawn Fawn Card Class. I had some of the delicious pork loin that Jim gave me for lunch! Renee and I discussed upcoming classes and I made my card for today. When I got home there was a dog in the backyard. My neighbor upstairs came out and we checked the tags, turns out he lives down the street so he walked him home. I had a little dinner with my Parents and then came home and straightened up a bit. Jim came by and we watched Deadpool, very funny movie! Today there is not a lot going on at the Store so I’ll be able to catch up on some things! 😀

I do have to share the picture of Daniel and Tristan that my Sister-in-Law took of them in their St. Patrick’s Day outfits…

How cute are they?!

I got to play with a new set from Sunny Studio to make my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge…

All of the images and greeting are from the Sunny Studio City Streets Photopolymer Stamp Set. I used my Mini MISTI to stamp the buildings, light post and greeting onto a piece of Solar White 80lb. To make the sidewalk and road I used a Copic Multiliner and my trusty ruler. My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I flagged pieces of Chinese Red and Pale Aqua and adhered them to the card. On top of that is another piece of Chinese Red. The stamped panel is adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. My car is stamped and colored in with Copics with a little Stardust Pen added to the wheels and trim, some fussy cutting (I didn’t have the dies) and the car is ready to be adhered to the card with 3D Foam Squares. I like the buildings left not colored in, it really makes the car pop! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches Challenge! Thanks for stopping by to see me today! Have a super Saturday! 🙂

Fab Friday 108

Yay for Friday! We had a nice chilly day again, all of the snow is still here! The Store was filled with people taking the Card Class and for the evening class my friend Jim stopped by. He even made a card and I was really impressed! He’s a natural! After work we came back to my house for a little TV. Today I have a morning Card Class and the I have to get working on more classes. I have fallen behind in my classes and need to get back to them!

My card for today is for the Fab Friday color challenge…

I have really been into the one layer cards lately so I made another one! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. All of the images are from the Concord & 9th Butterfly Beauty Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the large butterfly in Butter Bar and Fresh Peach using my Mini MISTI, the body is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black. The smaller butterflies are stamped in Butter Bar, Fresh Peach and Soft Apricot. I put the card back in the MISTI and stamped the greeting from the Concord & 9th Happy Words Photopolymer Stamp Set in Mint Julep. I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear, Marigold and Tangerine Sequins for a little sparkle. I love to color but there is still nothing like just stamping some images on a card! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for the Fab Friday Color Challenge! Make sure you stop by the BLOG and check out my other Teammate’s cards and lets see what you do with the colors! I thank you so much for coming by today! Have a fabulous Friday! 🙂

Still absolutely freezing here and the wind down by the Store is unreal! It feels more like Winter now that it has all Winter! I keep telling myself that Spring is just around the corner, I guess we are still a few blocks from that corner! Other than the wind by the Store it was a nice day inside. I got more accomplished than I thought I would, that’s always a nice surprise! On my way home I spoke to Sue and then Heather. When I got to my Parent’s Daniel and my Brother were there so we all had dinner together. After dinner I spoke to Andrew and Jim, it was a busy phone night! Later on I took a ride over to Sue’s and spent a little time with her and her Husband Joe. We had a nice evening. I got a text from a friend that was so sweet, you know of those ones that just makes your heart feel full, what a wonderful way to end the day! Today is day one of this month’s Lawn Fawn Card Class, can’t wait to see all of my peeps!

While I was at the store I made a quick card for this week’s Paper Players challenge…

I used some more of the Add-Ons to the March My Monthly Hero Kit! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the Hero Arts Wood Floor Bold Prints Background to stamp a piece of Solar White 80lb in Soft Brown and adhered it to the card front. My images and greeting are from the Hero Arts Produce and Seeds Photopolymer Stamp Set and are heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto a piece of Lemon Lime. I backed it with a piece of Crisp Green and adhered it to the card with E-Z Runner and Fun Foam at a slight angle. Just a few Pretty Pink Posh Holiday Shimmer Mix Sequins and the card is done! I absolutely love that Wood Floor Background, it’s soon to be a favorite for sure! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Players Challenge! Thanks for visiting! Have an awesome Thursday! 🙂

Well, guess what?! The weather men were thankfully wrong and we only got about 4 inches of snow and then it rained. The snow was really heavy to shovel as you can imagine, still better than the 18 inches that they said we were going to get! I’m sure that the ride to the Store will be fun, it certainly all froze overnight. I spent the day in the house yesterday watching TV and relaxing. I did make my card for today but that was about it. I’ll be glad to get out of the house today! 😀

The card that I made in the Stampin’ Galley is for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch…

I used the March My Monthly Hero Kit to make my card! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with a strip of Carta Bella Copper Dots Vellum 12×12 down the left side. I stamped my images from the March My Monthly Hero Kit in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored them in with Copics. The Coordinating Dies cut them out. I used a Craft Knife to be able to slide my carrots into the basket. The circle is a piece of Lawn Fawn Noble Fir cut out with the Hero Arts Infinity Circles Dies. I heat embossed the greeting in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder. A strip of Tip Top Taupe and a strip of Tangelo Twist are adhered across the card and then the circle is adhered with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. All that was left to do was to adhere my bunny and basket with some 3M Foam Tape and the card is done! Love that little rabbit and his basket of carrots, so cute! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! SIP Challenge 90 – Shaker Card!

Ugh! SNOW! They keep changing the totals but we are to get between 5 to 18 inches! That’s way too much! I know that I keep on whining but I’m over Winter already! Hopefully this will be the last hurrah and we will be able to move on to warmer temps! It was another nice day at the Store! My friend Arnise stopped by and Angie was in too. I got some things accomplished and also brought my stuff home, the Store will be closed today. I’ll get to craft in the Stampin’ Galley! I had a quick dinner with my Parents when I got home, chatted with Heather for a bit and then Jim came by. We watched YouTube videos and just hung out. A nice relaxing evening with a friend, who could ask for anything more?!

It’s Tuesday and that means that it’s time for a new Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! This week we ask you to join us and make a shaker card…

I do love to make a shaker and it’s been a while since I have. I started out by cutting a piece of Solar White 80lb with the Lawn Fawn Large Stitched Ovals Stackables Lawn Cuts and using both sides to add some Fish Tank and Merman Ink to another piece of Solar White 80lb with my Mini Ink Blending Tool. All of my images are from the Sunny Studio Froggy Friends Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped them all in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored them in with Copics. They are then cut out with the Coordinating Dies. I adhered the Lilly pad to my background and stamped the ripples in Fish Tank. The cattails and flower are then added and the sentiment is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black. To make my frame I cut out a piece of Deep Blue with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangles Stackables Lawn Cuts and adhered a piece of Acetate to back with Scor-Tape. A single layer of 3M Foam Tape is added and then I sprinkled some Pretty Pink Posh Holiday Shimmer Mix Sequins onto the background and adhered the frame over it. The frog and the flies are adhered with more 3M Foam Tape onto the Acetate and then the whole thing is adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I love that super happy little frog and the flies, so cute! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Shaker Card Challenge! Make sure and stop by the BLOG to see what the rest of the talented Design Team has made to inspire you and let’s see your card in the gallery! Thank you for stopping by! Have a terrific Tuesday! 🙂

Mojo Monday 488

The start of a new week and they are calling for about a foot of snow for tomorrow! Really?! It’s March people, enough already! LOL! I played hooky from the Store yesterday, I have so many things that I need to get done around the house and I just needed a real day off! I went over to Heather’s in the morning and her George and I had breakfast. After that she and I went food shopping. When we got back I helped George put up some crown moulding and then Heather and I came back to my house to a bit of cleaning. I’m happy to report that I have a dining room table! Around 4:00 Taylor stopped by and then my friend Jim came over. We went to BestBuy and BJ’s to pick ups a few things, picked up dinner and had a nice meal at said table! After that we worked on a little project. Today I’m back at the Store with a little catching up to do! 😀

Monday’s mean that it’s time for a new Mojo Monday sketch…

I played with some new stamps from Sunny Studio for today’s card! The base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with a strip of Bo Bunny Double Dot Wasabi Stripe Paper, torn on the top and bottom, adhered down the left side. My flowers and greeting are from the Sunny Studio Timeless Tulips Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the flowers and leaves in Lawn Fawn Ballet Slippers, Bubblegum, Lobster, Jalapeño and Noble Fir Ink with my Mini MISTI and used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out. My background is a piece of Solar White 80lb, I used my Mini Ink Blending Tool to add some Merman Ink to it and trimmed off the edges. The greeting is stamped in Noble Fir and the panel is adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. My flowers are added with a Quickie Glue Pen and 3D Foam Squares. I was going to add some Sequins or Clear Drops but decided that I like the card just the way it was! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thanks for starting another week off here with me! Have a marvelous Monday! 🙂
